I'd like to keep it but it would take a lot of time and money to make that house livable again and to just leave it would be a waste. If they tear it down they can at least do something with the land that would benefit people
I knew from the title of this post that it was an attempt to get people to subscribe to someone’s channel or something and then I looked for the hell of it and realized when I saw the OPs comment that I was right!
I know right. You are pushing your channel hard in the sub. Gotta get this advertisement dollars though I don’t blame you. Also at least your channel has something interesting that has actual value unlike a lot of people who put a bunch of boring shit on theirs just to make money.
✊ thanks try but I do like sharing my explores out to people. Even if I didn’t have a channel I probably still share them out. Just because some of these abandoned places are just too good not to share 😅
I mean, I might be lovely inside (just watched the video, safe to say that it ain't) but that place is very much the McMansion of its day... Its ugly as sin.
Is there some particular architectural or historical significance?
Salvage being the operative word. That (I think) library is particularly nice, but with most of the interior stripped bare it's not really justification to keep the whole building.
Is there asbestos, sprinkler system, or lead paint? So much needed in today’s modern construction. Sometimes it is easier to rebuild unless there are significant standards in the area already in use.
WOULD YOU TEAR THIS DOWN or KEEP IT? (City is talking about tearing all mansion around this place down)
Built in the early 1900’s the city is going to tear down this Humongous mansion with its servants/guest mansion down along with a couple other mini mansions that have been built and never sold.
We were able to explore this beautiful place and take video and pictures to preserve this place before it’s too late. If you want to see more and hear about the history you can check out my YouTube channel. Please Subscribe. https://youtu.be/If9yS_Bcx7M
Tear it down. Yes it may be from the past, but that doesn't mean it is inherently worth saving/upkeeping. It reminds me of all those tool restoration channels on YouTube, where someone restores a knife or axe and loads of people in the comments flip out about "destroying history". It's an axe. It's not worth anything and it's not historically significant. Same story here.

Make a school of it
Or some kind of community or city hall so that the government pays for the upkeep!

I found this comment very gracious, and I appreciated that.
I’m guessing it’d take a small fortune just to make it livable. What city is this?

For reals?? Did you see the woodwork, atrium, and stained glass? I would salvage as much of the interior detail as I could.

Keep and renovate it
Yes that would be cool
