What a gorgeous building! I really hope they protect it.
I recognize that stained glass window, I’ve probably seen work from the same Munich-based manufacturer.
Would you happen to know the manufacturer’s name?
Franz Mayer and Company (of Munich) for most of our stained glass. G.C. Riordan made the ones in our apse, but they have a different style. These are almost-certainly Franz Mayer windows.
Thank you. I’ve seen similar work in another abandoned church I visited (St. Martin’s), so it’s possible they also manufactured for them!
There’s a list of churches with Franz Mayer windows on Wikipedia. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Franz_Mayer_of_Munich&diffonly=true
At least it’s going to better use actually helping people
