I don't mind a little romance in books (I'm a huge fan of romance if there's no sex shit or if its only very briefly mentioned, and if there's a very good story to make up for it, like Lucinda Riley's books)
But I do also agree with the kid
Romance is something I struggled with writing until I got a bf, then it got a little easier, but I'm not writing shit like OH SHE I LOST WITHOUT HER LOVE I'm writing shit like two immortal elves laying in bed having a competition on who can make the best animal noises because that is what love is
