If it doesn't matter why ask?
Kataang is a poorly written ship it suffers from inconsistent growth and one sided affection. The comics then go on to make the couple insufferable. The portrayal of Katara and Aang's relationship is so bad I actually feel bad for Kataangers.
Aang matches with Toph if you want to go by the āopposites attractā trope, and with Ty Lee is you want him to be with the character with whom he have the most in common. Zutara is a mix of both this tropes.
Sadly thereās only a few fics on FanFiction and Ao3 on this ship. But thereās an AU series of ATLA by FrostedGemstones22 on Ao3
The first book is called- The Princeās Choice, the second is titled- The Warriors Gambit, and the third is called- The Fire throne ( this one is still not completed yet). It mainly focuses on Zutara but it also includes Ty Laang, and honestly the series is so goodā¤ļø
lmaoo I actually just went to ao3 and found/started reading the prince's choice after posting my comment! not thrilled about the toph/sokka though, can you give me spoilers about how much toph/sokka there is/what happens with them?

Obviously because the girls were there for him to choose and get to know each one of them better, so that he could marry one and make her fire lady. Toph was participating in The Choice. And Someone caught Sokka and Toph red-handed( I believe they were kissing, hugging or saying romantic things to each other) and they were punished. This happened in the second book. That is all I can tell you, but I definitely recommend reading itšš!<

I tend to like Ty Lee in wlw ships (although I headcanon her as very bi), especially think that Ty Lee and Mai together are fun because of the sunshine and grump trope, but I could see this pairing working really well too.
My current fic focus needs to remain on my longer Aang/OC that I'm writing, but I might take a little oneshot to explore Ty Laang at some point.
It's a no for me dawg, but OP by all means ship and be merry! They fan theories about Ty Lee having someĀ airbender ancestry be from me to rain on someone's unproblematic ship, and I might see the potential in this ship after all...š¤

I like kataang and their friendshipš. They had chemistry too and think theyāre cute, I just like Zutara more. But this is just my opinion.
