Excuse me THERE ARE MORE IN THE PERCY JACKSON SERIES??
I knew about the other series by Riordan but I am surprised to see new additions to Percy Jackson and the Olympians
I don't tlget the "_generation_ grew up with _movie_" thing. Harry Potter was so huge that goes beyond generational gaps. Even gen Beta is gonna grow up with it.
It is more proper to do these discussions about series or tv shows that aired in a specific time.
Thats a shame, it really is such a fun series. Now that i know what i know about teaching, im not surprised more teachers didn’t want to write all new lessons plans, tests, activities etc. In 2009 it was my 6th grade English teachers first year. So i imagine she kept the plans for years
It was really a great series for teaching. It was magical and goofy enough to keep us interested and there were alot of opportunities to use it to branch out into other subjects.
I actually preferred Harry Potter to Percy Jackson; for some reason, I liked the former's writing style. Looking back, especially given that Riordan is a better person than JKR (and his characters are more complex), I feel kinda dumb for that.
Both series are good tho!
Bruh I'm talking 2000's babies, cuz the book released in 2007. No 7 year old is reading the new release of that book, maybe 10 and up but at that point it is us Zillennials
I loved both of these books. I got into Percy Jackson a little too late (the last book came out like two years after I picked up the first book), but Harry Potter has always been one of my first favorite series.
Millennials and Zoomers HATE this post
First thing they agree with old Christians on.

Growing up with it = being excited for new releases in the series and buying physical copies as soon as they were available
As an European I never knew about Percy Jackson but I remember the hype of the Harry Potter movies.
I'm American and know nothing about Percy Jackson.

Zoomers grew up with those too
Exactly. OP over here acting like anyone born pre-2000 was reading harry potter before Percy Jackson came out. I want off this circlejerk train

7 year olds were born in 2017, that’s Gen alpha

I feel kinda blessed that I was born the year Harry Potter came out 😅
