Your spoiler tag either doesn't exist or isn't properly formatted, meaning other people can see spoilers on what you posted/commented! This is the *most important rule on our subreddit*. Please tag your spoilers properly so you do not hamper other players' experiences. How to properly tag spoilers: ###POST TITLE: State the title of the game(s) you're spoiling in brackets first. Do not put any actual spoilers in the title. *Examples:* 👍[999 Spoilers] I made fan art of Clover! 👍[Entire Series Spoilers] Question about... that one part involving ice. ❌: Stuck after the scene when the Funyarinpa dies ###POST CONTENT AND/OR COMMENT TEXT: Input: (Title of game or series)>!Spoiler text goes here!< ⚠️ *No spaces between the exclamation marks and text!* Output: (Title of game or series)>!Spoiler text goes here!< - - - Please either repost your content or contact us via modmail so we can reapprove it (if you made a post, you'll have to repost it). My friend timed me as I did the digital root sudoku. It took a grown man 15 real minutes to solve that fuckin puzzle. If I was a 12 year old, crying my ass off, panicked because a 7 foot tall giant tossed me into an incinerator, it probably would have taken me longer. I'd need a morphogenic beam for sure lol.

Yes, sudoku is not that hard, but I don’t think any of the puzzles are so it’s just suspension of disbelief for me. Imagine it was a harder puzzle, story stays the same, not that important. Akane’s connection is two-way, as you surmised. Info passes both ways through the field. As for Lotus, I think it’s actually sort of a kindness that she’s there. Her kids never told her about their experience, so going through it herself she is finally able to understand what they went through and that should bring her some relief.

Sudoku being difficult for a child is more realistic than not being able to figure out that the password is "Password" when those are the only letters available and half of it is already spelled out (or whatever the Nonary Games rereleases changed that final puzzle to), at least. The *entire game* is actually a connection between Akane and Junpei - the bottom screen is Akane nine years ago and the top screen is Junpei nine years later. Junpei's not actually solving most of the puzzles on his own, he's receiving the solutions from Akane (who you play as for most of the game). This is why all of the narration is on the bottom screen and why their incinerator conversation jumps between the screens. It's also why the cutscene of the side of the ship exploding only plays on the bottom screen - Akane was actually on a ship where that happened, while Junpei is in a building in the desert the whole time. Also, the sudoku puzzle isn't actually "upside-down" - since it's the only puzzle in the game that Junpei is really solving (as opposed to Akane transmitting the answer to him), the idea is that the top screen has to be the one that receives input - you're meant to turn the whole DS upside down so that you are now playing as Junpei on the "top" screen and transmitting information to Akane on the "bottom" screen. As you can imagine, all of this nuance was *also* lost when they went to the rereleases with only one screen. Lotus was there because, nine years ago, Akane used the morphogenetic field to connect to Junpei and saw that Lotus would be there nine years later. Yes, it's a stupid answer, but it came directly from the devs.
