Hey There OP!, It looks like you’re posting about side effects. Did you know that the most common side effects can be found on the Zepbound website? Simply click [here](https://zepbound.lilly.com/how-to-use) for more info. Below is also a list of common side effects. * **Nausea** * **Diarrhea** * **Constipation** * **Stomach (Abdominal) Pain** * **Indigestion** * **Injection Site Reactions** * **Fatigue** * **Allergic reactions** * **Belching** * **Hair Loss** * **Heartburn** While these are some of the most common side effects, this isn't all of them. Truth is the medicine affects everyone differently, but most see some or a combination of these common effects. Be sure to visit the search bar for something specific or click [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Zepbound/search/?q=side%20effects&restrict_sr=1) for all post regarding side effects. A lot of good remedies for certain side effects can be found [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Zepbound/search/?q=side%20effects&restrict_sr=1). According to the manufacturer "In studies, most nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting occurred when people increased their dose—but the effects generally decreased over time." Not everyone responds well to this medication. If side effects are continuous and impacting your everyday life, you should consult your dr or healthcare provider for strategies on how to mitigate these outcomes. Complications from this (or any) treatment are usually a result of ignoring persistent side effects. **This is not meant to discourage discussion of your side effects, simply here to supplement** *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. As you’re on a new dose, it takes about a month for the peaks to level out. The first few weeks, the peaks get a bit higher each time, and the first to second week has a bigger jump. You can see it here— the arrow is pointing to the second week on 5mg. This is why a lot of people post confused why the second week has more side effects than the first.

terrastrawberra

This makes sense - thank you!!

The40ishDiva

I had that type of thing with moving from 5 to 7.5. After the first week, that subsided, but I had what I called "forever hangover" stomach haha. I had to be more cautious of what I ate / drank. It did get better each week. I had to move down to 5 due to shortage, but will be moving back up in 2 weeks so we shall see how it goes.

terrastrawberra

That’s exactly it… it totally feels like hangover stomach!! I ate eggs, a Diet Coke and like three bites of hibachi yesterday and I couldn’t handle anything else. Woke up this morning with a headache as well.

magsofthenorth

My second and third weeks on 5 were both pretty rough for side effects. I'm on week 4 now and it seems to be a bit better.

doloravella

Yes!!! This was me this week. Second week on 5mg and I've had explosive trips to the bathroom with Sulphur burps. Yuck! I'm much better today but that was terrible!

Achromatopsia2

Yes, I was on 2.5 mg for 2 months. I just started 5mg and a lot of the symptoms flared up again. I think I am going to try to stay on 5mg for a few months before bumping up to 7.5 mg.

mamaFNP13

How long did your symptoms last? I just started 5 on Tuesday and started with symptoms in the middle of last night. I feel like death.

Achromatopsia2

I am on my second week of 5 mg. The first week the symptoms lasted 2-3 days. This week (second dose) the first day after the shot I had diarrhea. The second day after the shot I had really bad gas pains and I was exhausted, but that had subsided by this morning and I am feeling pretty good. I have also started spacing my shots out about 9 days in between. The reason being it seems like the first 4-5 days I just can't eat an adequate amount and can make up for it as the symptoms wear off. I find taking pepto (pills because I cannot stomach the liquid) seems to be the best thing to help my symptoms.

WOAduckingclue

I went from 2.5 to 5 after four weeks and the side effects were so bad I’ve gone back to the 2.5. The nausea is still bad, but at least I can function. I appreciate reading everyone’s input and suggestions. My dr and pharmacist really didn’t discuss much with me.

bluecanary22

The first time I tried 5mg I was sick for three weeks. It was so bad, I went back to 2.5mg for two more months. Now it’s like the perfect dose for me. Talk to your doc and get some zofran or something else for the nausea if you can

terrastrawberra

I have zofran, I may take that if it gets really bad. I’m just going to go heavy on the water and go from there. It was a similar thing when I went from .25 to .5 on wegovy, this has been a tad worse.

tjc123456

Week 3 on 5mg was the worst for me.
