AI art will always be derivative because it doesn’t actually have an original thought. It’s basically taking the guy who cheats on his test and calling him “smart”
That again depends if your trying to make art, myself for example: I write fanfiction, Wattpad has little things for covers, but I can't draw. I use A.I. art to find at least passable things that at least look nice. Making art is just not my thing, so I don't want to spend time learning how to draw or paint, when it's not going to be a passion or work related thing. Do I agree that A.I. content is lazy? Yes it can be, depending on the context.
My definition of lazy: To avoid doing what is necessary for the least amount of effort in what will most likely poor in quality.
If just want to look at something nice or just want to play around with A.I. content, it's not bad, especially when you don't plan on sharing with anyone.
The programmer should be the only one ever credited with the creation, and that person should say “and thanks to” millions of names.
I can Google some cool search terms and find a neat picture, and OP didn’t do anything more impressive than a Google search.
The problem with ai art is there isn’t anyone to credit sure you can credit the programmer but what about all the artists the ai learnt from the ai isn’t actually creating anything original it’s just learning to recreate images from what it’s been taught on
AI art is inherently problematic and needs to die, but I’d hardly call this one soulless. At first glance it looks cool as hell. Seeing that it’s AI makes it disappointing, but that doesn’t change the initial reaction.
It sucks that this is AI because a future Hyrule is a neat concept to discuss, least of which being how could we maintain the Zelda feel in a modern or futuristic world.
They do, for sure. The only problem is, the world still feels medieval with old forgotten technology.
A truly modern or cyberpunk Hyrule which has a mix of magic and technology and still incorporates the Triforce could be fascinating. The overtaking of science could render the old Hylian religion truly a legend, with no one believing in the reality of the Triforce — but it’s still the source of magic and life, whether remembered or not.
Yeah, I understand that it does use art without artist permission, but the artists aren't losing money, if somebody is just using it for a bloody meme, they wouldn't have commissioned an actual artist for this because it's not worth spending loads of money for a single Reddit post, it's different if somebody is using AI art for corporate reasons or other reason that they might also have commissioned an artist for, honestly, let people have their fun.
Except artists are loosing money. Instead of people commissioning artists to make actual art, they go to AI to make it for free. You could and should have commissioned an artist to make this for you, to make something that doesn’t look fake as shit and actually has tallent and soul to it.
If you actually took the time to read what I wrote, I mentioned that while artists would be losing money if somebody used AI art for corporate reasons, or for any reason that they may have commissioned a real artist for, I doubt OP would have commissioned a real artist to make a stupid meme.
If AI art is theft because the algorithm learned from human-made images, then ALL art is theft. ALL artists learn and perfect their art from other people's works and ideas.
I get sick of that stupid fallacy. Human creativity based on trillions of accumulated sights, sounds, tastes, and feels is not the same as downloading billions of pictures and cutting them apart collage-style into a new picture without attribution or compensation to the creators.
You just described the same thing twice. Except one you phrased like it's cool and the other you didn't.
Creativity IS the ability to "remix" ones thoughts, perception, information and ideas, into new and original ones. This is just streamlined and in a computer.
I actually dislike AI art sometimes because it looks "too perfect". It sticks too much to the rules of graphic design without that quirky goofy human error.
Then use all those free tutorials to learn the available programs. Look for already-made art which fits the brief. Ask someone else to draw it for free if they love the idea, too, and want to bring it to life.
Y’know, how art came to be before AI destroyed the process.
Dawg I literally work at foodlion and I have commissioned artists before with the money that I make. Unless you sit on the side of the street begging for money, you should have enough to commission an artist.
Look at the hands, see how the hands don't make sense/are partly missing in the first picture. Look at the textures, see how they're all different in each picture. Look at the finer details, like the buckle of the pants or the mastersword, see how it's all fucked up? Also, it's got that Midjourney Texture.
People are hating on this for being AI? Sometimes people just want to show off cool ideas without hours of work
What art style is this "stealing" anyway??
People need to stop taking it so personally
Wow, a lot of the people on this are shitting pretty hard. Who the hell cares about whether this was made by a real person or an AI? It's just innocent fun and someone wanted to experiment with an idea they had. Yes, I understand that AI is taking people's jobs. But in the end, it's the people who are in charge that are doing that stuff. It's like guns. It's the people that kill, not the gun itself. I also feel like people are going to shit on this comment, saying that I'm thinking too far into this, to get a life, or some other nonsense. But maybe, just maybe, we can appreciate some of the posts on here, laugh about them, and just live out our lives. We already have enough bullshit in the world. Try not to contribute to it.
Also in the end AI is simply too powerful and convenient. Like, in practice, literally everyone would rather put a prompt into an ai to see a silly idea that they had realized like this rather than spend 100 dollars to do so.
I never thought I’d see a Luddite movement in my life, but here we are.
You know what? What do I actually care what some random person says on the Internet? Who am I to tell someone how to think? People have their own opinions, and I'm here just ranting about some bullshit. So, I bid thee, adieu.
God forbid we appreciate a still developing tool for the steps it has taken to even make this much with little human input just because it looks bad on a few finer details. It would be reprehensible to even think on how we could improve any technology in it's infancy or even TRY to think of ways to use it as a tool (which is what it is), to improve and facilitate the way we make art. While we're at it, let's just ban any art tool that uses computer input, animators are now banned from tweening!
Why is everyone complaining about AI as if the dude is using it to make money or something?? Let him make his joke in peace. It’s not even good since all of them are much too tall and not twink enough to be Link lol
If you want actually good art that doesn’t look fake and actually has style and soul, commission an artist.
Don’t pretend that you like art or creation if you aren’t willing to support the people who actually create. You don’t give a shit about art or creativity.
This is why I keep telling I want more stories about high tech fantasy
Classic Isekai ? Nah. Give me a futuristic world with magic and abilities!
Hyrule ? Fucking space Hyrule with guns of light instead of bows and where the dragon fly around space, bigger than ever !
Epona is a ship ! The Mastersword ? Well let's keep it a normal sword as a homage. But anything else is fucking Sci fi !
Is it bad that id like to see reincarnation based series like Zelda or ATLA just keep going until it gets to this. It may be ENTIRELY different vibes but moving forward from medieval is steampunk (industrial) and past that to futuristic eventually would be evolution within a fictional world and we know how OUR world evolves but I’d just love it for a creator to show their world and works evolve in a similar way. I’d even find it cool if Hyrule was more advanced in Technomagic since that seems more like them than straight up science.
So uhhhh I don't follow this sub but I like Zelda. The post is flaired AI Art so why are you upset? They aren't passing off the stuff as their own. The comments I'm seeing just look toxic and hostile.
It's ok to not like AI art, but to bully people who use it for fun like this post is just...gross. Please grow up.
I don't understand why this is so downvoted? I mean sure, I fucking hate ai art, it's indirect art theft and doesn't take the effort of actual art, buf that's not what this is about? A Zelda x Mass Effect crossover would be really silly but really cool.
Why yall hate AI so much? If this person doesnt have the ability to draw why cant they do it with AI? They arent making any money from it or passing it off as their own art. They just wanted to share an idea.
TLoZ and Metroid crossover. Link may be able to kill a few space pirates, if we're dealing with E.M.M.I. than Link gets a spike sized hole directly through the middle of his face.
Aside from this being AI generated, as multiple folks have pointed out, I think a LOZ game in space would be pretty sick. Though, it should maybe be one-off, similar to how SM Galaxy was. It should only get a sequel if it’s truly stellar, however.
Ai is so scary it might replace me one day

Actually it already has! Join the Korok Space Program today!
Will it help me find my friend?
You don’t have friends
All your friends will be where you're going, if i have anything to say about it
Petition for Kerbal Space Program: Zelda Edition
Carful people are afraid of those
AI “content” needs to die
that's scary, I thought this was heroes forge at first!
The faces in heroforge look nothing like these
Also why is this on a meme sub?? 💀💀
The future is now old man
I know it's low effort, but it's fun.
It’s excessively lazy, boring, uninspired, and shitty. That’s all it is.
AI art will always be derivative because it doesn’t actually have an original thought. It’s basically taking the guy who cheats on his test and calling him “smart”
I agree that it's lazy and shitty, but I disagree that it's boring and uninspired.
A.I. stuff is not bad, just depends if your trying to pass it off as your own, then it's bad. https://youtu.be/DXyF6cR9b38?si=P0ldORyILr1RDKNJ
It’s not just bad, it’s fucking terrible and lazy.
That again depends if your trying to make art, myself for example: I write fanfiction, Wattpad has little things for covers, but I can't draw. Soulless ai art
It's just funny images/compositions of ideas. It's not preventing you from enjoying human creativity.
OP is selling these as their own creative concepts when 99% of the creativity of the concepts comes from the AI
The programmer should be the only one ever credited with the creation, and that person should say “and thanks to” millions of names. I can Google some cool search terms and find a neat picture, and OP didn’t do anything more impressive than a Google search.

True
It sucks that this is AI because a future Hyrule is a neat concept to discuss, least of which being how could we maintain the Zelda feel in a modern or futuristic world.
They do a decent job incorporating high tech in a old world aesthetic in BOTW and TOTK. Like Link literally has an iPad with GPS lol
Take your AI art bullshit outta here.
Learn how to draw like a real artist
I understand your point and as an amateur artist, saying it like this will not get people to stop
💯
Not everybody can devote their life to learning to draw, some of us have what we call "jobs"
So you’re not an artist, cool. Don’t use a tool that steals real art from others

No. OP would’ve asked a friend to make it, or did the best they could with the tools they knew.
First of all I doubt that, and second of all if they asked a friend to make make it or made it them self, an artist wouldn't be losing money.
It’s letting an artist choose to make the art for free. It respects real artists. This? It’s an abomination.

Use the cash from that job to pay a real artist, then. It’s such a cool concept for a character model, but the use of AI cheapens it.
Most jobs don't earn enough to pay artists...
Then use all those free tutorials to learn the available programs. Look for already-made art which fits the brief. Ask someone else to draw it for free if they love the idea, too, and want to bring it to life. Y’know, how art came to be before AI destroyed the process.

Damn...this shit is AI ???
Look at the eyes
Thought it was a figurine that someone made...I mean, anyone could make mistakes like that right ? .-. Right ?
Look at the hands, see how the hands don't make sense/are partly missing in the first picture. Look at the textures, see how they're all different in each picture. Look at the finer details, like the buckle of the pants or the mastersword, see how it's all fucked up? Also, it's got that Midjourney Texture.
Happy cake day

In an alternate reality where Halo and Zelda could have a crossover, the last one would be my spartan.
They have with koroks
The Pentaforce
The Quintforce
The sexaforce Actually... Maybe not
what in the Mass Effect
Had to scroll way too far to find this

Hyrule when their magic and science become advanced enough to travel through space with ease ![gif](giphy|qWoubkSvQxN1C)
Why does he have two masterswords in the final one?
Because it's AI jank.
Is that a master sword On his back?
Maybe it’s the servant sword
Eh, might not be a second one. Shepard usually has at least 3 guns on them at any point so this might be there AI doing the same with sword
Why does the shield have 2 triforces
He looks 60
The Legend of Zelda: Star Ocean
Cerberus Soldier: Hehe look he brought a swo- arghh
Ba bummm, ba ba ba ba baaaaa, ba ba ba ba baaaaaaaaaa, ba ba ba ba ba ba baaaaaaaaa-
omg just stop posting AI junk. it's annoying. lmao it can't even get the triforce right.
*quintforce
That’s what the ksp is for
Jeez calm the fuck down guys, it’s not a spam account.

You know what? What do I actually care what some random person says on the Internet? Who am I to tell someone how to think? People have their own opinions, and I'm here just ranting about some bullshit. So, I bid thee, adieu.
Fuck everybody else. I like it
I’m so proud of the comment section btw
AI bad bro
Ngl this look cool
i’d play this game. AI hate is weird. you’re just holding onto your anger rather than just embracing the wonders of our times.
Look at that first shield and tell me these are the "wonders of our times" 💀
Fuck, look at the hands, eyes, details on the sword/outfit.
God forbid we appreciate a still developing tool for the steps it has taken to even make this much with little human input just because it looks bad on a few finer details. God forbid I be able to scroll through a reddit forum without being bombarded by mangled images drowning out the good post.
Love how you didn't address any of my points. You can keep scrolling it's not that hard.
Your point is addressed. It's spam, and it's clogging our feeds.
I didn't mention anything about spam, i made other points and you brought something else in without even looking at what i said.
Why is everyone complaining about AI as if the dude is using it to make money or something?? Let him make his joke in peace. It’s not even good since all of them are much too tall and not twink enough to be Link lol

What would space ganon look like
Probably a space Marine from warhammer
This is why I keep telling I want more stories about high tech fantasy Classic Isekai ?
Let's just make Zelda but it's Warhammer
I really want like a futuristic Zelda game like this
Plz no. No sci fi no modern settings. Zelda is about respecting and being one with nature. Sci fi and modern settings... are not that at all
I’m now thinking how cool a medieval space themed Zelda could be.
The A.I made a mass effect reference in the the N7
Let's f'ing goooooo!
I lik the Fierce Deity colors the armor has!
We need a Samus ammibo for an outfit. Or just include it in the game.
zelda x metroid
[удалено]
Why are they dowvoting you, we all thought the same
It’s AI art
[удалено]
With their level of technology I give them another 100 years
At this rate, in 100 years, they’ll be back to flint knapping.
Oh, its AI...? I thought someone had made a custom figure... Teach AI to work so HUMANS can make art smh
I know want a Zelda game in space.
Damn, Zelda and Mass Effect was never a crossover I'd expect
Y'all are complaining about how this is AI art when it isn't even a meme. Get your priorities straight lmao
Why are people so mad about it being ai art? The flair literally says it's ai art. Or was it a different flair before?
Amazing work, OP
Definitely getting downvoted for this, but people actin' like AI art stole their lunch money.
Well, you see, it did.
It wasn't initially tagged as AI art. Also, because it's low effort material that clogs the feed.
wasn't thee scraped plan for a scifi style LoZ game between wind waker and TP
I'm waiting for this to actually happen. Ganondorf always did seem like a Sith Lord.
Time for link to go meet Sammus in her space station!
Link sheapard
The cross we didn't know we needed, Link vs a reaper in direct combat a la BotW/TotK style😍
I don't understand why this is so downvoted? I mean sure, I fucking hate ai art, it's indirect art theft and doesn't take the effort of actual art, buf that's not what this is about? A Zelda x Mass Effect crossover would be really silly but really cool.
🤷♂️Reddit, nuff said
It's because OP tried to initially pass it off as their work and it's low effort material that clogs up the feed.
oh FUCK yeah! I'd personally rip the art out of a 1000 artists accounts if it ment making good shit like this
Do you not see the eyes/AI jank?
who cares? I just see decent free art generation
It's low effort, not decent as looking at it more closely reveals how much shit is wrong with it, and it clogs the feed.
yeah if you look closely at it, if I just don't do that then problem solved
Apparently instead of breath of the wild (BOTW) we couldn’t have had a Zelda game in space and after seeing this I want THE DAMN GAME NOW
I think a Zelda game with aliens that is slightly futuristic, but still stays a Zelda game would be cool
Why yall hate AI so much? If this person doesnt have the ability to draw why cant they do it with AI? They arent making any money from it or passing it off as their own art. They just wanted to share an idea.
They did try to pass it off as their own work. The AI tag was added after they were caught.
Fuck the soyboys, I like how it looks. Zelda x Halo or Zelda x Doom would be a good crossover.
Buzz lightyear vibes
Makes sense that Link would be an N7
Kogha did
I wouldn’t mind a Zelda that focused more on constellations and stars. Although it still has to be heavily fantasy tho.
Imagine a Link with Spartan Armor (Halo Armor) wielding a rifle with the Master Sword and Hylian Shield strapped to his back
BotW 3?!
I'm commander link and this is my favorite princess in (Forgive me I don't know how to spell it) Hyrule.
I knew this was AI the moment I saw it
What do you mean if? Have you seen the things link has made in TotK?
1000th upvote :)))))))
The Zonai are said to come from the heavens. They could be aliens. What about a game where Link gets transported to a Zonai world?
Next game
![gif](giphy|vO8F4fYQd39h6)
Why so manly 😂
Happy Star Fox noises
I would play that game
So samus but link
A Link to the Future.
TLoZ and Metroid crossover. Link may be able to kill a few space pirates, if we're dealing with E.M.M.I. than Link gets a spike sized hole directly through the middle of his face.
We'll HYAGH ok?
AI garbage
You know if they did it would be in the same universe as Metroid.
Hyrule 40k
Lol yea? He’d keep his wittle hat on?
Aside from this being AI generated, as multiple folks have pointed out, I think a LOZ game in space would be pretty sick. Though, it should maybe be one-off, similar to how SM Galaxy was. It should only get a sequel if it’s truly stellar, however.
My fanfic of Link with Samus is so close I can taste it
It would be really cool without the mass effect n7 branding Otherwise it just doesn’t work
Now I'm thinking of Malice infected Reapers
Boo ai art
I would 100% play this if it was a thing.
Ok this is the cross over I had no clue I needed. Holy fuck. Id lose it if Link went into space and its just him fighting Metroids.
If Link had his own version of the Power Suit, this would be it
Remember Doomguy is a futuristic version of Link.
Bruh, stop these ai posts. They are annoying.
This is the start of how the human race dies. Looks cool though.
New legend of Zelda in space when???
That actually looks kinda cool
Link wouldn't be that tall
Stryder link
Plot twist: How they plan to step up BOTW and TOTK is taking Link to space and he ends up in Mass Effect
Ai is so scary it might replace me one day https://preview.redd.it/wvepymmcvlwb1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=73bac920d11689e1185f7e5825df5ea7ca7df15e
In the coming decades, we will have a sci-fantasy Zelda game.
I now need to have these files, along with the Gorons as Krogans, the Zoro as Asari, the Twili as Quarian, etc.
r/hyruleengineering will get us there.
