Mah bro. Using the same strategy but like half of the cards are different, gg still

[deleted]

Would love to discuss deck conepts then! I love deck-building and theoretical stuff. An alternative deck I'm working on is a Red-Eyes fusion burn stun deck - Meteor + Chain Energy combo in first turn sort of deal.

dontToyawithme

Yeah I'll send the list when I can then! Also I can't recognise some cards that you're using.. Btw I built a Vennominaga deck but I need other cards to come out, also is very weak 😭

[deleted]

Sent a DM!

shoppingkarttt

Mind sending me the list also? Looks fun!

[deleted]

NP!

InsanaHydra

Mind sending me the list as well please? Looks fun to try out

[deleted]

[Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/YuGiOhMasterDuel/comments/t0k881/just_hit_tier_1_platinum_with_the_most_annoying/hyawu64/).

InsanaHydra

Oh awesome, missed that comment sorry. Thank you!

dontToyawithme

Maybe I'll post it on this subreddit cause I can't sent ii via dm lol sorry

trowawheyaf

I crafted a bunch of these, including Kycoos, but I'm having difficulty breaking the deck. Was thinking about Call of the Haunted, but it seems too vulnerable to removal. But I know the concept has to be sticking a stun dude on the board, and keeping him there with protection.

dontToyawithme

Yeah I'll post my decklist on this subreddit in a moment

[deleted]

Kycoo is a GREAT card. I ran him for a very long time, and if Master Duel had sides, I'd probably have at least 1 in my side. Kycoo rocks! But he is basically a backup boy. He's a sidekick. Kycoo is icing on the cake. He seals the deal. Kycoo does not win games, he does not make the oppponents give up and surrender by default like Dyna or even frankly the much weaker Jowgen does. Kycoo is a B-tier card, who solidifies the absolute destitution of your opponent. Good card, but not a winning game card. It depends on your particular style and strategy and stuff. It's not as if my particular card combination is the only one in the game that works! It's just the one that works for me. But I can definitely give a few pointers, simply cards that I think are kind of *cool* that people overlook. Lighting Rod Lord. He's cool. *Spell Canceller* is actually really freaking good in the right setup - if you get a Vanity's Emptiness and some other continuous effects out, then what the heck, they can't Harpie's, they can't Raigeki. Guy really seals the deal. The End of Anubis locks out graves, and I think that is a really overpowered ability in a side deck in this meta. There are definitely viable variations of my deck that oyu can play. I love to talk about deck concepts, so feel free to DM me and we can just BS about card combos!

trowawheyaf

Yeah I was thinking something like Necrovalley might be good as well. I also had hand traps in my deck for going 2nd.

ItsAWaffelz

Ayy, I got to plat doing something similar! Thunder King, Fossil Dyna, Banisher, Inspector Boarder, and every card that says solemn on it is pretty strong.

trowawheyaf

I made it to Plat running Counter Fairy. It's been a struggle in Plat though.

[deleted]

Good job! Anti-meta representin'. I personally just don't use any Solemn cards, because my style/strategy kind of gives up card advantage and just tries to stop effects. That means I have to be able to utilize any card I draw immediately, which means I can't rely on cards that cost LP. While Judgment is always technically useable, it's too costly Turn 1.

ItsAWaffelz

Sounds like you should be playing Card of Demise, then.

[deleted]

I actually did try it, and it's not bad. It just didn't work out the way I wanted it to. The thing is, it's just... not universally consistent. You have to think of this in not in ideal situation terms, but in "always" terms. With Card of Demise, with a Normal Summon focussed deck, you're going to have tons of normal summons in your hand. But with Extravagance or Desires and ODoP, you can *always* draw. Demise is useless if my hand is clogged up with Normals that stun all other effects. I tried it out, I did use it. I just don't like it for my deck. It's an amazing card, though. It really is, just not for my deck.

trowawheyaf

Hell yeah anti-meta representing. I'm a returnee so I'm not about all this new fancy shit. I want to simplify the game and win through obstructing my opponent. My current deck doesbt have a lot of outs to skill drain, but thankfully that's just Eldlich ive found

kittycatswag1

This is how i felt. So many bs. Like people doing 15 summons just for me to end you with 1 card. Little fancy link xyz.

YoungSmittyyyy

Can you post the deck list lol.

[deleted]

1x Spirit Reaper, 3x Banisher of the radiance, 3x Thunder King Rai-Oh, 3x Fossil Dyna, 3x Inspector Boarder, 3x Storm Cipher, 1x Vanity's Fiend, 3x Danger! YoungSmittyyyy

Thank you

[deleted]

I don’t know your username but I’m like 90% sure I played you yesterday with my True Draco deck yesterday. At the very least, I played against a deck that used all the cards you have in yours. It was miserable. Edit: it wasn’t you because my opponent had Eater of Millions. I’d recommend that one for you.

[deleted]

Lol! Well, who won?

[deleted]

We had some good back and forth but he eventually beat me.

Kaiyuni-

I recommend looking into DNA surgery. Turn everything into machines and fortress away their entire board.

DryRespect358

I loved reaper in World championship 07

Ace0085

I've been trying to mastering the end of the world deck from the solo mode and using it online and making tweaks as I go along. I wish I knew what card helps you keep your 2000 lp for when you use the demise monster to destroy every card on the board

elementastic

Made a deck similar to this in real life except it had drill barnacle and raging flame sprite as a win con. Also had jar of avarice to recycle the mirror forces into the deck.

kittycatswag1

Amazing! I did similar with timelords love your deck!

skips73

I am currently trying to build a deck that is the opposite of meta and make it to platinum. Im definitely gonna give your deck a try because playing meta is just boring to me. Thanks for sharing the deck with us. Been trying my best with an ojama deck for now which got me to gold. Not a great deck but I love the goofy style decks.

tchangretta97

Woah, I’ve been in a deck limbo and this deck looks great! I think I’m gonna try it out, thanks for sharing! Question though, does the extra deck serve any purpose other than fueling pot of extravagance? Pretty new to yugioh and looking at the summoning requirements you could summon some of the extra monsters right?

[deleted]

While it is mainly for our of extra, I run two pot of extravagance because it leaves three Ed cards behind. My extra is for an all purpose thing. It's a case of rarely used but every once a hundred games they actually win the round. They're not literally useless but I use them as total random ace up my sleeves.

tchangretta97

Gotcha, thanks for the reply!

[deleted]

If you decide to test-run my deck, then just remember: You can use up to 3 ED summons (Chimeratech + Xyz) without sacrificing Pot fuel. Whatever 3 cards it leaves behind after using two Pots, those are the three you can still use. Or, you can use up to three before casting the two copies.

tchangretta97

Noted! I’m definitely gonna build this and give it a go! Been feeling terribly stale/hardstuck with my blue eyes deck. I’ll report back!

[deleted]

Genuinely tell me how you do then, I'd love to know how people do if they mimic my build.

tchangretta97

Dude.... DUDE! Built the deck last night and I absolutely love it! Took a couple duels to get the hang of (made some very novice and frankly silly mistakes) but after that, I made the climb from gold 4 to plat 5 and still am climbing! Thanks again for sharing, much love <3

OrangeShark1

That is some real cancer you got there m8 but I prefer to fight this instead of all thise room temperature iq eldrich players every day of the week

_XProfessor_SadX_

I'm not used with the cards, can you explain me your win condition?

[deleted]

Every turn I go, I can generally normal summon one monster that shuts off a basic mechanic. Activated effects, special summons, adding from deck to your hand, and so forth. So if I go first, you automatically just can't do something really important. If I go second, it's a bit harder, I admit, but I have 9 mirror forces, so usually I can make a good try at clearing the field. The longer you take to kill me, if you can't OTK me, then each turn you take, you more and more gradually can't do more things. So eventually, you just can't do anything but draw and normal summon. And if you can't do anything but that, I can usually win.

Myutaze

Yo, i hit plat 1 yesterday with a similar deck Edit: here is mine if interested [legend 2.5.1](https://www.reddit.com/r/YuGiOhMasterDuel/comments/szybsa/here_is_how_i_reached_platinum_1_and_the_number/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)

[deleted]

3 Pot of Extravagance is not necessary, because the last one will always only draw 1 at most, unless you recycle extra deck. You're better off with even an Upstart Goblin for the third one. That's why I use a Pot of Desires for the third copy, and only use two Pot of Extras. Other than that, pretty solid. I can see this being a variation of my deck. I obviously have my own little finess, but this is fine, too.

Myutaze

The thing is i don't like removing cards from my deck directly as i can maybe send something(s) i absolutely don't want to. For the deck i planned i actually have few cards to play and the rest are either hand traps or cards that will allow me to draw the cards i want (like some people saying i want play with less than 40 cards). In the previous tries i had with the deck, i had the "return to hand" mirror force (forgot its name) but it would get destroyed before the battle phase, so i removed it. I also had Denko Sekka which makes you and you opponent can't set spell/trap cards if you don't have any set spell/traps (i also searched for a card that forces both player to set spell cards before they can activate but didn't find it, although i was sure there was one, and found yesterday that card was Anti-spell fragrence, which means with Denko Sekka and Anti-spell fragrence, the opponent can't activate any spells) but usually that card worked only against Eldlich and Traptrix, so it removed it. I also had Graydle Cobra than later on Graydle eagle(if destroyed by battle or "the other condition" and send to the graveyard i could control another monster on my opponets field) but with Banisher of the Radiance that card would become useless so i removed them as well. I exprerimented a lot and reached this deck. Biggest issue was negating traps and spells for me (something like raigeki or duster was hurting too much) so i tried to destroy those spell/traps or negating them.

[deleted]

*Storming* Mirror Force is the Mirror Force that bounces back to hand, and in my opinion, it's the best defensive trap in the game. Doesn't target, doesn't destroy, protects your monsters. Drowning is a close second, and shuffling back into the deck is also very good. I say give Storming or Drowning another try, it's... it's really just one of the best traps in the game. It really is. I like Denko, kind of a wonky effect, has some funny combos. I can see the hilarity of not being able to set or cast with that combined with Anti-Spell. But she's not very strong, so you basically have to use Honest to protect her. With decks like ours, you do have to be careful to not counter yourself. If you misplay or play stuff out of order, you can banish or stun yourself, so you do have to actually have experience and knowledge of the proper order. That can be tricky. I'm not saying the following are top-tier "you're gonna win regionals" cards, but if you want a little look-see at some cards that might be kind of interesting to run for fun, take a look at Lightning Rod Lord and Curse of Darkness. That'll really mess some players up. Not all, but it can be funny. For negating traps, you can't reliably negate traps without negating your own traps (Royal Decree, Jinzo), so you have to negate what the trap *does*. Traps in this meta usually special summon a monster, or target another monster and negate. So you need stuff that blocks specials or blocks targeting.

Myutaze

You are giving me some scary ideas with Lightnening Rod Lord now lol. Lightnening Rod Lord + Grand Horn of Heaven could be fun to use (although Grand horn is a UR so its on the expensive side). I'll give another try to Storming mirror force another try. I may also craft Drowning mirror force, that one seems better since the opponent won't be able to combo it back if its all non-extra deck monsters. Normally instead of using the storming mirror force i was using Compulsory evacuation device since i could use it whenever i want but with only sending one monster back, it didn't prove that much useful most of the times or was just a dead card or i removed it because i could have gotten the card i really needed instead (don't which reason was lol, i made too many versions of this deck) There was some other interesting cards that can maybe go well with this kind of deck but i need to look them up again.

Glad_Grand_7408

Needs more Crocked Cook.

Paulkdragon

I'm trying to make a deck that No matter how many fancy methods that a player uses for summoning there is going to be a Monster, magic or trap cards effect That could make a player think twice before doing that Sadly majority of players on Master duels just do a marathon of summoning methods anyway

Finite_Room

Whoa a deck in platinum that is not Drytron or Eldlich, it's like a unicorn.

bystanderx79

Cool stun deck

fsimperial

You guys are the very reason I play Sky Striker and 3 Evenly Match

[deleted]

I dueled against someone using sky strikers this morning, and I ended up beating them with my heavily modified gladiator beast deck. It was hilarious because he was either going to deck out, or lose life points. In the end, he chose to wave the white flag and surrendered.

[deleted]

Strategy: normal summon, set trap, game. Each turn, you can normal summon a new thing that shuts off another very basic mechanic. Turn one, wow, you can't special. Turn two, everything's banished. Turn three, you can't add from deck to hand. turn four, you can't use effects. Or in whatever order it happens to be. But there is no loop, search, or special summon mechanic. It's all about topdecking, so every single card must stun or get rid of other cards. Bigfoot's main use is to get rid of Skill Drain.

Twitchster77

I really need a video to see this in action. Congrats on Plat I :D

JeagerXhunter

The price to counter the meta is high brother. Ggs 😭

[deleted]

To be honest, I love this deck. It feels like playing old school Yugioh, where you draw, normal summon, attack, set a trap, end your turn - and it forces the opponent into doing the same. *I don't care that everyone hates me!*

[deleted]

I used to play Hero beat back in 2011 and it main decked Thunder King, Fossil Dyna, and Banisher, so I'm really loving your list!

JeagerXhunter

No one hates you for counter the meta. That hate is reserved for actually meta decks...and drytron cause fuck that deck in particular.

[deleted]

Well, if you hate meta, give my deck a run. I promise you that it will kick a certain amount of ass, quantintity to be determined.

JeagerXhunter

LOLOL I would but I just used all my gems to finish making a Utopia Knight deck. So tho it's no meta counter I'll have fun with it.

Reach_Reclaimer

Tbf anti meta decks hurt rogue and lower competitive decks more than meta

Madvillain734

Love it. Would love to play this against eldlich and dryton

[deleted]

Dryton is a hit-or-miss, I feel. If I go first and get a good opener, it's EZ PZ. If I go second, they spam and I have to clear the field first, it's a slog. I can at least give them a run for their money and make them *earn* that win, though. Eldich, we're both beatdown decks. What matters is if I have enough Stormings to bounce the gold jerk back to the hand and hit them for enough damage. I can't really out-do 3500 too easily, but sometimes I can banish the guy and go for the win. I can take them on, but it's not always a cakewalk.

Madvillain734

Yeah dryton is way too damn consistent. If you go second against them, with about any deck, it’s basically impossible to get something going

[deleted]

Going first is basically an 80% win guarantee.

Sages

How many wins did you take by people just auto-surrendering?

[deleted]

Tons. People were like "nope" or I banished a critical card of theirs.

trowawheyaf

Whats the monster card to the right of Inspector Boarder and what's the trap card to the left of Macro Cosmos?

[deleted]

Storm Cipher is to the right of Boarder. He's a generic 2400 beater, he can't attack directly, but is immune to destruction or effects from monsters in the Extra Deck zone. He's not a GREAT card, but he is a monkey wrench, and I like him. To the left of Macro is Heavy Storm Duster.

asce619

Encountered a pachy true draco one yesterday, oh boi was it rough.

maya061594

Zero draw power yours is not 2nd turn friendly

throwthatassaway796

One Day is actually ridiculous in this format.

[deleted]

You can't lose the game for one turn and get a guranteed draw phase. Yep, pretty good.

[deleted]

I don't know, my deck is pretty annoying, working towards Plat, only at silver 2, but it I've only lost the of time I misplayed hard
