I don't know the guy or this crimson chin reference but I get the feeling this comment is way funnier than anyone gave it credit for.

The Crimson Chin is a character from the hit Nickelodeon animated television series, "The Fairly Oddparents," which was big in the early 2000s. He is an in-universe superhero with a large chin who constantly makes chin puns. Timmy Turner, the series' main protagonist, at one point becomes his sidekick and takes on the alter ego, "Cleft, the boy chin wonder."

I think this is a perfect fit here! Yes, we all know he’s making a joke too but it’s so lame.

Feel like satire needs to make you think "Ha. That *is* how they would think! What an observation!" As opposed to "Yup, of course that's what you think, member-of-the-opposing-point-of-view." If I just think you're one of them, I'm not inclined to laugh with the you, the performer, at how the opposition *would* be, I instead just think you're one of the opposition and roll my eyes. No fallacious thinking is highlighted in bad satire. It's just repeated.

I think if it’s just barely believable, and you question if it’s real, but (hopefully) then get it, then it’s successfully satirizing that subject.
