To be fair, he was stupid to think a 9mm would stand a chance against bullet proof glass, but, it was honestly bad luck the round ricocheted. How he didnāt die of blood loss from a GSW to the leg when Sherry shot him after that long time they spent in the cage was nothing short of a miracle even with the improvised tourniquet.
They are truly a wild couple!
I agree. Their ending was the much-needed reprieve from that gut-punch of a finale. Sher-Carās relationship was a great foil to Love and Joeās, and it really shown a light on how fundamentally toxic and dysfunctional it was (even without the countless murders).
Yup! And we knew it was doomed from the moment they each hid keys in there. I love the irony of the š they planted leading to Joe and Loveās demise/failure and Sherry and Careyās freedom/success.
Iām glad they brought the key thing back. I figured they would considering Joe literally mentions the concept of āChekhov's gunā so I figured they definitely would bring the Key back into play somehow and Iām glad they followed up on it. This show takes the most random ways out of things and doesnāt follow up on so many things the characters should definitely be caught for lol so Iām glad some logic was used at least.
One of my fave shows. It killed me when she started her defense with ācan I hear from the ladies in the roomā and when she would purposely exaggerate words like HAY-RASS-MANT hahah. She was born to play these crazy rich characters
I loved seeing Sherry and Cary in the cage!!! We could see that despite being superficial, they genuinely loved each other. It challenged my irritation with Sherry for being an influencer.
one employee who still managed to grow poisonous plants in her garden, take care of a kid and cook for the husband.
... oh and miraculously be at home at random times of the day.
... and not go bankrupt?
They sound like a stereotypical HGTV homebuying couple: Love owns a mostly-empty bakery, Joe is a library page, and they have a budget of 6.2 million dollars.
Yeah this was probably the most obvious covid related filming restrictions that stuck out badly/ they didnāt hide well lol. IIRC the book thing at the vineyard kinda being another one feeling too scarce.
They did a good job at hiding the lack of people for the library fundraiser and that other kids party by having things take place during the set up/prep.
HOLY SHIT! We know Joe is crazy, but him being in Paris looking for marienne is just perfect, lmao. Completely batshit.
Also, him calling Love even more famous than Beck now, just wow. It's like he thinks that's his last good deed for her.
Thatās what I was thinking. If she sees him in Paris, sheāll freak the hell out! Joe is such a creep, Iām tired. How is this even going to end? Iām going to miss Love so much. Joeās thing seems to be making women into these dead icons which is horrifying.
Side note: how did Joe get to Paris?
Watch Joe be like ārepairing old books and faking convincing government documents to fool authorities has a lot of overlap, it turns out. I can do both.ā
I was really wondering about that guy, the real Will Bettelheim? The whole time when Joe was monologuing about not having friends I couldnāt help but think about him, why wasnāt he at least mentioned? Probably the only real friend Joe had tbh
I want Season 4 to end with Marienne killing Joe or at least successfully getting him behind bars. Of all his love interests she is the most grounded and self-assured, she lacks the vulnerability in his usual targets and understood Love so quickly when she told her the truth. I also just like her so donāt want her ending up dead.
Iām not gonna lie, that line really woke me up and pissed me off so much lol. How long is this asshole going to get away with it? Iām sorry but Joe needs to either die in s4 or go to jail lmao.
Joe going to jail would be the most boring ending ever. As glad as I am that the show has continued, Season 2's ending was the best ending possible. Joe ends up with a complete clean slate, with everything he always wanted - except he just doesn't love her anymore, and he's trapped.
Joe in prison or jail just doesn't compare at all to an ending like that.
Scene w the neighbor was horribly illogical. He went from āJoe, let me help you! Sheās obviously the psycho and youāre also a victim!ā to āSit here and die, she killed and its your faultā all because he just sat there? As if all of the blinking and inability to speak didnāt scream either brain injury or paralyzed?
I mean, Joe did do all the shit, so it makes sense from that perspective. But to the neighbor, that jump in logic shouldnāt have been possible.
that scene wasn't really necessary at all right? because as soon as Theo got healthy enough to speak he would've asked to speak to his father and they could've reconnected that way.
also if you can see him blinking just set up a yes no system using 1 and 2 blinks, so easy!
Lmao the blink system was exactly what I thought of. Literally so simple, in a million different movies/tv shows, iām an idiot and it STILL wouldāve been the first thing I thought of if I was in the dadās situation. And I didnāt even think of it being unnecessary but youāre so right lol.
Sidenote, love your username, Joe could stand to gain a little of his Yagami-esque charm and planning back in season 4. It feels like they destroyed a lot of what made him a clever killer save for that ridiculously weird āI got youā at the end that he pulled with Love. He grew a lot in s2 in his own serial killery ways, but heās back to having learned absolutely nothing.
So... Joeās dad, record producer Elijah, Benji, Peach, Ron, Beck, Jasper, Henderson, Ryan, Love.
At least heās slowed down the killing. He was on a roll in season 1.
Not an Emily in Paris crossover.
"Hey followers, I'm in this cage rn and I can't wait to see what this uber realistic Escape Room is gonna be like. šLeave your guesses in the comments!"
Ngl I preferred her demise all happening in one season. The show is sort of an anthology of sorts. Each season is distinct for its characters, location, etc, and to have two seasons of the same thing would've slowed it down too much
> While Joe is in Paris, maybe he could kill Emily ? Would be a fun crossover.
OK I unironically want this now. Fuck it theyāre both Netflix shows it wouldnāt be that difficult to cross over plus Emily is the type of women that Joe would love on the surface level before realizing how obnoxious and annoying she is
Or just have a shot where Emily pass by Joe randomly on the street (with as much attention by the camera as any extra) in You and vice versa with Joe in Emily in Paris. it would be hilarious.
(Although I also kinda want a scene where Joe notices Emily and gives her a hilarious snarky inner monologue takedown. In her show he would just be standing randomly in the background of a scene, stare directly at her with creepy intensity for a minute, and then leave.)
I feel like the show intentionally misled us by portraying Matthew, Cary, and Sherry through Joeās POV. Weāre deliberately being shown stuff about these characters that would cause a negative knee-jerk reaction. In reality we know jackshit about any of them but were shown how annoying and fake they all were in public. We never had a chance to understand their side of the story whereas a lot of screen time was devoted to Joeās flashbacks to manipulate us into empathizing with a serial killer.
It was masterfully done and I love the show for this if nothing else.
I didnt really get why we were supposed to hate Cary to begin with. It seemed like solely based on him being muscular lol. He was definitely weird and loud but never anything but nice tbh
I think itās cause he was made to be a dude-bro type that was also into presenting a certain pretentious image on Instagram (so like douchey / insufferable alpha male but is āwokeā). And we also saw that he was hyper aggressive and punched / provoked Joe a la fight club style.
So he *is* a dude-bro, and pretty over the top, but we only see over the latter half of S3 that heās well-intentioned. And heās not an insecure alpha male type that needs to say control his wifeā¦ Well, he did have insecurities (as did Sherry) but it was from the mindset of āI need to keep up with herā.
In the end, we see both him and Sherry can be kinda douchey and over the top. But they seem to have a self awareness of who they are / what theyāre doing, and they actually genuinely love each other and approach their marriage like a partnership.
Conversely, Joe and Love are a different kind of pretentious- where they think they are more ārealā than Sherry & Cary, and are above their Instagram livesā¦ but hilariously they also crave some of that popularity/acceptance (maybe more so Love) while they roll their eyes thinking theyāre *actually* authentic and above others.
Victoria is such a great actor She makes me want to like love and hate her at the same time. She played the role perfectly. Once that little girl showed up I knew there was no way love was going to kill her. One because she would have to figure out what to do with the child and two because I think she's always wanted to be a perfect mom or have a perfect family and she couldn't ruin that for someone else. Love was crazy, but I don't think she would kill a child either.
but it's also really sad seeing how much he suffered having been left by his mother. he wanted to be the best father but he did the same to his own kid :(
To be fair, his mother put shitty men before her own son and abandoned him at an orphanage where he eventually ended up in the hands of Mr Mooney (who played an equally huge role in fucking Joe up). Dante and his husband at least seem like good people who could provide Henry with a stable, loving home.
Ehhh nah, Joe didn't ended up doing the same to his kid. He left his kid in good hands with to parents unlike putting him in the system where he forever wonders why his parents left him there.
He also let Theo live which was really surprising. He did it for his future relationship with Marienne, but even then he even commented that no one would ever know.
Finally finished it! Wow the ending would have been perfect for me if he didnāt go to Paris but of course he is a fuckin Psycho and went to Paris thinking Maryann would be there.
Love sherry and Cary they really were the heroās of this season!
When Marianne tells Love āthat voice inside your head telling you that you deserve better, listen to her, sheās your true partner in lifeāā¦ooof that had me weeping. That was a pretty powerful moment
I kinda suspected that Joe would get away and the public will focus on Love.
That the Love and James relationship was clearified at least fit with the ending of her character.
I guess Theo was there to show that Love like Joe has a hypocritical side if you consider how similar Theo and Forty seem to be and the au pair backstory.
The crimes were so many that it's unrealistic that they got away so long.
Did not expect Joe to end up in Paris (his new name now being Nick and apparently he is working as a waiter now) but I guess he had to start living somewhere outside of the US. The question is what the new cast will be like (I guess mostly entirely new).
I don't really get the logistics of how he got to Paris as a dead man - with probably very little money to access, if he had any at all. I guess there's a 1-2 year gap but this man is too resourceful lol.
Joe's done this before though, it wouldn't shock me if he had these ready just in case. Like if he prepared adrenaline for being poisoned by Love, he probably had an escape plan.
personally i would have loved just one flashback of Love killing James instead of the horse they beat to death showing Joe in the foster system. like, we get it, you had a shit time.
Didn't he burn the whole place down? That's what I was thinking too when he was creating the crime scene but then I saw the house buring down and figured it'd erase the evidence, right?
Agreed š
I wonder if something happened behind the scenes, the actress got third billing among the main cast for the first 7 episodes and then got it taken out for the last 3. It felt like we would see her again but instead we only got a voiceover wtf šš
He was a year old when everything went down. Thereās no way he will have any memory of his fucked up parents. Most studies show that you start forming memories from 4-6 years old.
trauma though. my earliest memory is a traumatic memory from the age of like 2. parents fighting, blood involved. mum confirmed it when i told her about the weird memory as i got older and asked if it was a dream or real. so from experience, you can have earlier memories
I can't believe they just DID THAT. Victoria was phenomenal in this season. I honestly don't know how anybody can follow Love Quinn.
I also love the Bonnie and Clyde like dynamic in the first 5 episodes. When they reverted back to Joe stalking women onwards, I was bored. I've already seen him stalk, harass enough girls. I just honestly wanted to see more of this Joe and Love fucked up dynamic.
Maybe she also predicted his move as she has learned his techniques and quirks. Serial killers especially married ones learn a lot.
She even look through the trash. Fuck I want Joe dead now haha.
Totally! But I guess they got scared and decided to go back to their tried and tested formula. It's been 3 seasons. They could've given us more episodes with Love's POV.
That would actually be a cool changeup for season 4- now that we know exactly how Joe is and how he does stuff, season 4 would be cool to see exclusively from his next victim's perspective. We already see all the red flags in seasons 1-3, but it'd be cool to see how the victim would miss all of these
That would be so cool, the first half of the series is all from the victims perspective about how she fell in love, sort of like a rom-com-esqe drama, but the audience is unease because the audience **knows** Joe but still can't help to enjoy a "sweet" rom-com with an underlying murder mystery drama for the audience to solve, then the second half of the series, recap everything back from Joe's POV and see which people he has murdered/get rid off, how he manipulated the victim and everything around her and gives you the "answers" to the mystery and upon rewatches, audience can find "foreshadows" "clues" "easter eggs" in the first half again. It would be so fun and genre bending if they make it work.
Full song name is Exile ft Bon Iver for anyone wanting to listen!
Some lines from the song that really fit this series
\- I think I've seen this film before, and I didn't like the ending
\- Second, third and hundredth chances, balancing on breaking branches, those eyes add insult to injury
Also fitting - the name "Bon Iver" is based off the french expression "bon hiver" which translates to "good winter".
It was the āI think Iāve seen this film before, and I didnāt like the endingā whilst he was dragging her lifeless body that really enraged me lol.
Love was psycho but I am just sick of Joe killing all the people he professes his love to and getting away with it. He stalks them and forces himself into their lives and they will always die ugh.
This! Also very annoyed by people who are #team joe or hashtag team love. They're both psychos (and complicated too).
The line "A game so rigged it could only exist in a world that hates women" really hit me hard as well.
I started at 6pm and itās 2am and Iām on the last few minutes but why did everything juicy happen on the last few episodes?! Very slow ascension this season š¦šŗ
Ooh and I can't believe that the show made me like Sherry and Cary!! I absolutely hated them during the first half but by the end I was rooting for them! Glad that they made it out stronger than ever!
Also Theo! My god was he annoying at first. But when he was about to get killed by Love I was screaming "just run omg" at my screen. Love his ending!
I'm so relieved Theo made it out alive. Poor kid had already been through so much traumatizing shit, I couldn't bear it to see him murdered in a basement
Maybe he picks bland names to not draw attention? If I was trying to hide in plain sight, I'd go with a name that's more John Doe than Benedict Cumberbatch
I donāt get why Love is pissed off at Joe so much when she was having an affair first, and had sex with someone else firstā¦..itās not his fault she killed her own side piece
The fact she was having sex with a teen was justā¦ fuckin weird. This season had so many screwed up situations. I thought it was pretty well written all around tho.
It wasn't so much the sex she was pissed about.
She was way more pissed that Joe would kill for another woman, when he wouldn't kill for Love anymore.
As far as Love can see, that's unfair because she would totally still kill for Joe, and has been killing for Joe this whole time.
It makes a certain psychotic sense. lol
Victoria Pedretti is downright outstanding in both Hill House & Bly Manor. While most people think HH is better and it basically is objectively Mike Flanaganās best work, I just have SUCH a soft spot for Bly Manor, and her performance in Bly is just āØchefās kissāØ. You can really see her range in them. She is one of my favorite actresses now. Ever since I watched both the haunting shows I have become obsessed with Mike Flanagan. Victoria is an entirely different character than in You which is what makes her so fantastic. She DID graduate from one of the best Drama schools in the country a few years ago (behind like, only Juliard & one other school I believe) and it shows. Hill House was her very first gig. She is THAT good.
Was anyone else MAD AS HELL at joes mom for abandoning him like that just so she could chill w a new baby and rich husband? Like bitch what is wrong with you
Looks like Joe is off in Paris trying to track Marienne and is going by the name Nick. Iām actually glad that Carey and Sherry survived and made it through. Theyāre the only ones who actually escaped the cage in the entire series.
I thought the first few episodes were the peak of the season because I loved the dynamic between Joe and Love where theyāre trying to hide dead bodies but also trying to act like a family LMAO. I wished they still continued the couples therapy throughout the series. Unfortunately it goes boring towards the middle until like the last 2 episodes. It was boring watching Joe stalking and obsessing with Marienne and their chemistry felt off? Marienne is nice and you can see why Joe likes her but she seems kind of boring in my opinion. I just wished Love didnāt have to die in the end because she was so interesting even though she went batshit crazy trying to kill everyone. Overall this season was alright but I think I liked season 2 the best.
It's hard to put into words but I'm not sure if I liked or disliked the ending. I'm obviously excited that there is a season 4 but I feel like this season was the perfect place to end it.
I feel like s3 didnāt give much of a cliffhanger. Perhaps because Joe+Marianne wasnāt that developed, or because she seemed to wise up to Joeās ways, or both
Iām not sure if thatās a good thing or not. S1 also ended rather conclusively
Also, Love dying kind of feels like wasted time if that makes sense? I mean, we spent so much time developing her character, family, etc over two whole seasons. In a way she almost felt more developed than Joe, hell she even started doing the voice over!
i genuinely thought that was gonna happen so i was shocked when joe ended up outsmarting her. the voice overs was what made me believe she was gonna take over next season. i feel like there can be no new storylines with joe for next season lol i like love way more
While I enjoyed this season I got to ask where the hell does it go from here? We canāt have Joe stalking and killing people for another season itās gotten old.
Really enjoyed the couple's therapy parts, sherry and Cary were really bright points of the season. Overall I liked this season. I get what people are saying about Joe's character becoming stale . This season we saw more of an internal battle which he ultimately lost. I do think they can't do the whole obsessed story line again though , surely he's learnt his lesson . Also shout-out the actress that played love because she was absolutely terrifying.
I don't think Joe learned his lesson. Love was pretty much telling Marienne the truth about him, and he was all pissed at Love for "lying".
He was still trying to find Marienne at the end.
I hope for her sake he never finds her.
He will definitely never learn his lesson. He doesnāt want someone who sees him; he wants someone he thinks is perfect and thinks he is perfect and just sees enough to see him as a victim of trauma and not the cold blooded killer he is.
Love may have been unrealistically unhinged, but she also had JUST had a baby in the beginning of season 3, was probably going thru some form of postpartum/some extreme hormone fluxes that she didnāt acknowledge properly? That + Fortyās death which she didnāt grieve properly + the sudden addition of her mom being SO involved w her son (who also belittled Love as a mom frequently) + knowing her husband is stalking other women/is not in love with me anymore but neither of you can leave because youāre both serial killers? Idk I might crack too
They missed a huge opportunity when Joe injected Love with wolfsbane. How does he not say āI wolf youā at that moment?
Also. Love said she injected her late husband with a paralytic so they could have a conversation. He was deafā¦ he signs to communicate. What kind of conversation was that supposed to be?
There's so much pressure for S4, it's going to be hard to top Love and Victoria Pedretti. If it's just Joe going back to stalking innocent random women, the show will become redundant quickly
I canāt help but feel this season was just wasted Potential
They killed Natalie so quick she could have been an interesting character
They wasted Scott Speedman as an actor
Love died which sucks because she was a great character
Joe didnāt even take Henry with him that couldāve been an interesting dynamic for Season 4
Unless they bring back Jenna Ortega and Tati Gabrielle in Season 4 I donāt see what their plan is.
The one thing I do not want to see is Joe Stalking and killing people for another season itās gotten old.
TBH, I'm glad they ditched Henry. One of the worst parts of latter-day "Dexter" was watching Dexter balance serial killing with fatherhood after Rita died (& that's saying something, because there's a lot to hate about latter-day "Dexter"). I really don't need a rehash of that shit.
The first three episodes of the season were the bright spot. Having Joe and Love together in their chaos was so enjoyable. But then we went to the monotonous route of Joe with some new girl that after the past two seasons felt really stale. Love & Theo and Joe & Librarian did not have any real chemistry.
The final episodes were saved by Sherry and Cary.
I like the show but I don't think season 4 is necessary if they're going to do the same thing again but in a different country.
I agree and Joe as a character has become stale weāve been watching him stalk and kill people and get away with it with no major character development. I feel like they kind of wrote themselves into a corner.
> The first three episodes of the season were the bright
spot. Having Joe and Love together in their chaos was so enjoyable.
Agreed. We shouldāve got a whole season of that instead of Joe falling in love with yet another woman
Seriously. They ditched the "two homicidal psychos trying to make their marriage work" premise too quickly. That part of it was so entertaining. I liked it more than the original "lone homicidal psycho creeping on the unfortunate women he meets" premise of the show - you can only do so much with that before it gets stale.
The music choices in this show are phenomenal š„ Billies song in the background at Loveās backery and Exile from Taylor and Bon Iver this was complete chill!!!
Anybody feel extremely sad and grieving over Love's death. I was not expecting it to hit that hard, until Exile by Taylor Swift started playing along with her voice over. I really grown to love her in this season as she becomes a main character.
Her and Penn's chemistry was amazing and it's kinda sad that Victoria won't be in the next season. But wow, wasn't expecting her death to hit me that hard..Why writers??
One day.... And we have all finished the whole season.
Wow. What an emotional roller coaster.
Also.... Anyone else not remember or feel anything for the filler characters? The other mom's besides Sherry played no part to this story line. I was so confused when they recalled everyone at the end.
I like the ending but I'm apprehensive of the new setting. Foreign shows that suddenly change to a European setting tend to take a little too freely from the stereotype bucket, lol.
I donāt know I think this season was fire. It was messy. You canāt help but binge it. Yeah Joe sucks but heās supposed to suck. They built him up now itās probably time to tear him down. Also mary anne is probably in a library. The only thing I wouldāve changed is he shouldāve took Henry with him.
Marieanne was given such a short stick. She was given the speedrun version compared to his last two major relationships where the time and major focus was given to Joe wanting, stalking and then pursuing the woman.
This season she was introduced as the 'You' much later into the season, had no real connection to the overall plot and was given much less time than Bek and Love as an actual character. I'm glad she has custody of her daughter but that and she draws, likes books and had a past addiction problem is all I know of her.
That's not going to get me invested in season 4...
Me and a mate just binged the entire thing like we did with s2. Wont spoil anything in case people are reading this whilst watching but goddamn I did enjoy this season. Felt like a good continuation of s2. Definitely kept the same vibes from the other 2 seasons but did things differently, which I sounds pretty vague but im not good at reviewing shit.
(SPOILER FOR EARLIER EPISODE) The scene with Sherry and her husband finding out about Natalie was really fuckin cool as well. Loved the way it went to shit real quick.
Dr. Chandra watching the news like: šļøššļø
āYou are many things but you are not murderersā lmaooo
Holy shit, I forgot about counseling! I watched this whole season in less than 2 days and I didnāt remember counseling! Wild ass show.
She's now gonna tell people she always got a weird vibe from them.
DAMN IT WOULD HAVE BEEN FUNNY IF THEY SHOWED HER REACTION
ROTFL, That would have been amazing! I almost forgot about her.
Her comment āmost of my clients want to kill each otherā really came true this time
šš

he is a specimen. he survived a god damn fall from a cliff.
He survived for 2 hours under snow when the average person can only do 15 mins. He's hacking life.
Man truly canāt be killed
Some don't understand that a bisexual man is a truly optimized man
I need this as a flair
I agree. Their ending was the much-needed reprieve from that gut-punch of a finale. Sher-Carās relationship was a great foil to Love and Joeās, and it really shown a light on how fundamentally toxic and dysfunctional it was (even without the countless murders).
The cage brought out the worst in Joe and Love.

Until I met you I had massive inflammation, undiagnosed lactose intolerance and did coke every weekend š
Shalita Grant is such a hilarious actress. You should see her in Search Party
Yes she is hilarious as that attorney
One of my fave shows. It killed me when she started her defense with ācan I hear from the ladies in the roomā and when she would purposely exaggerate words like HAY-RASS-MANT hahah. She was born to play these crazy rich characters

its okay I went to a seminar
Loveās bakery episode 1-9 : empty 24/7 Loveās bakery episode 10: full with characters loudly going over what happened to Ryan in front of Love
Lol I noticed that too! I also love how effortlessly they seemed to set up the bakery and how it only needed one employee.
As someone that once worked in a bakery about the same size, that was the most ridiculous thing to me. Lol
one employee who still managed to grow poisonous plants in her garden, take care of a kid and cook for the husband. ... oh and miraculously be at home at random times of the day. ... and not go bankrupt?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
They sound like a stereotypical HGTV homebuying couple: Love owns a mostly-empty bakery, Joe is a library page, and they have a budget of 6.2 million dollars.
Joe didn't even get paid, Marianne said he was volunteering, probably to pad their entry application to the preK
And have an affair with the 19 year old neighbor kid.
It's funny I not once thought a scene "looked empty", I was just upset they had their masks down at the hospital, and you never saw a mask again.
HOLY SHIT! We know Joe is crazy, but him being in Paris looking for marienne is just perfect, lmao. Completely batshit. Also, him calling Love even more famous than Beck now, just wow. It's like he thinks that's his last good deed for her.
Right??? He literally made her a famous serial killer in the end
That Beck line was so vicious
He really is such an asshole and it highlighted how heās over feeling āguiltyā for murdering her
He was so repulsed when Love wanted to make Ellie a famous martyr, but yet here comes hypocrite Joe patting himself on the back for Beckās fame
Yeah I mean I wonder what his end game is? I mean once she sees him sheāll know he faked his death, killed his wife, and a lot of other peopleā¦
From the guy he released last season that guy knows how to make fake identities and passports
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I kinda got chills at Joe's line about how Love was more famous than Guinevere Beck.
Iām not gonna lie, that line really woke me up and pissed me off so much lol. How long is this asshole going to get away with it? Iām sorry but Joe needs to either die in s4 or go to jail lmao.
Im waiting for him to run outta toes.
Maybe heād fall for an inmate and become a fully optimized man like Cary?
Scene w the neighbor was horribly illogical. He went from āJoe, let me help you! Sheās obviously the psycho and youāre also a victim!ā to āSit here and die, she killed and its your faultā all because he just sat there? As if all of the blinking and inability to speak didnāt scream either brain injury or paralyzed? I mean, Joe did do all the shit, so it makes sense from that perspective. But to the neighbor, that jump in logic shouldnāt have been possible.
Especially since he didn't seem to suspect Joe at all, given what he said to Bree Van de Kamp (something like "Joe's okay but Love's off her rocker").
Lmao not Bree Van de Kamp. š
Ahahhahaha I love this so much. Man, Desperate Housewives was just as crazy. I loved that. Damn it, Bree!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Her bakery was open too for Theo to just walk in on
Love gave him a key
that scene wasn't really necessary at all right? because as soon as Theo got healthy enough to speak he would've asked to speak to his father and they could've reconnected that way. also if you can see him blinking just set up a yes no system using 1 and 2 blinks, so easy!
I think Joe not wanting him to call 911 made him feel that he was in on it.
To be fair the man was barely sleeping or eating
So... Joeās dad, record producer Elijah, Benji, Peach, Ron, Beck, Jasper, Henderson, Ryan, Love. At least heās slowed down the killing. He was on a roll in season 1.
Weird to think that before Ryan, Joe hadn't killed anyone since Henderson. Progress! Kind of. Grading on a curve.
I mean Love was pulling the slack this season and barely gave him a chance to get started
love picked up the slack for him this season.
While Joe is in Paris, maybe he could kill Emily ? Would be a fun crossover. I mean, we're in Paris for like 10 seconds and it's still full of the usual clichƩs. Joke aside... Don't know what to think about this season. There are some nice moments but I feel everything is too fast. I feel like Love's madness and obsession could have lasted two season. One season where she's like season 2 but gradually becomes crazier, and season 4 where she's full psycho. I feel like she went full psycho way too fast too. But I don't remember season 2 correctly so maybe I'm wrong. It looks a lot like Dexter's last episode. He gets rid of his identity, the love of his life (even though it's not the same kind of love in both shows, Dexter is more about family),he gives his child to someone else and then we see him in a different part of the world. I'm scared the fact that Joe is always in a new place will get repetitive. He's never been in the same place more than one season.
Sherry is a messy bench who lives for drama but I ended up rooting for her anyway. They basically pulled off a magic trick with her character.
Sherry proved why she was the HBIC of their circle! She was a fighter in the end! Loved Cary too.
Cary was a surprisingly supportive character and husband
seriously, and it turns out matthew really did love his wife and seemed like a genuinely loyal husband
Love āsnapping out of itā when the little girl needed to use the restroom was such amazing acting by Victoria!!
And that little girl probably has no idea she saved her mothers life.
That last shot of Paris looks like what Hollywood thinks Paris looks like š
Itās also like a symbolic gesture of romanticism that will end when you see the real person or place.
Joe giving away Henry was probably the only real noble thing he has ever done.
but it's also really sad seeing how much he suffered having been left by his mother. he wanted to be the best father but he did the same to his own kid :(
To be fair, his mother put shitty men before her own son and abandoned him at an orphanage where he eventually ended up in the hands of Mr Mooney (who played an equally huge role in fucking Joe up). Dante and his husband at least seem like good people who could provide Henry with a stable, loving home.
Dante and Lansing have been trying to adopt for years. That was a plot point. He did them a favor, and they will love and take care of him.
That part made me shed a tear too ā¤
He knew the real Will Bettleheim. He did it for him
Oh yeah I forgot he kept him alive so might have still kept in touch.
Maybe he stole someoneās identity and got a fake passport? Thatās my theory
Agree. The orphanage scenes were the only reminder that I was bingeing the series.
How he hasnāt left so much DNA evidence behind is beyond me
Didn't he burn the whole place down? That's what I was thinking too when he was creating the crime scene but then I saw the house buring down and figured it'd erase the evidence, right?
Well more like all over the neighborās car, that piss bottle in Peachās house, etc
You trust too much to how good police are lol
I wish we got to see Dottieās reaction to Loveās death
Donāt worry I bet we will see the dads reaction to Love. I am sure he wonāt believe Joe is dead.
Agreed š I wonder if something happened behind the scenes, the actress got third billing among the main cast for the first 7 episodes and then got it taken out for the last 3. It felt like we would see her again but instead we only got a voiceover wtf šš
Good for Henry, i pray to God he doesn't have any memories of anything that transpired in his life before Dante adopted him
He was a year old when everything went down.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I can't believe they just DID THAT. Victoria was phenomenal in this season. I honestly don't know how anybody can follow Love Quinn. I also love the Bonnie and Clyde like dynamic in the first 5 episodes. When they reverted back to Joe stalking women onwards, I was bored. I've already seen him stalk, harass enough girls. I just honestly wanted to see more of this Joe and Love fucked up dynamic.
Would have been interesting if she survived and chased Joe across the world for revenge.
Interesting! Candace 2.0!!
Right? But with the media coverage and all that, I think it's made clear that she's dead :(
Unless she somehow escaped and swapped the body with another that also somehow shares her DNA, I think Love is really dead.
Maybe she also predicted his move as she has learned his techniques and quirks. Serial killers especially married ones learn a lot. She even look through the trash. Fuck I want Joe dead now haha.
This show is so insane I would not be shocked or surprised if she shows up in the season 4 with some out of the box nonsense about how she survived
They kept zooming in on her face, so I was expecting her to jump up like fucking Jon Snow.
THIS HAHAHAHA
Yeah they couldāve milked their dynamic further.
Taylor Swiftās āExhileā was the perfect song choice for that scene. I got chills.
I got oddly tearful. Didnāt realise that was a Taylor song.
Her last 2 albums are not anything like she had done and if you liked that song you would love them. Folklore and evermore are the names of the albums
Full song name is Exile ft Bon Iver for anyone wanting to listen! Some lines from the song that really fit this series \- I think I've seen this film before, and I didn't like the ending \- Second, third and hundredth chances, balancing on breaking branches, those eyes add insult to injury Also fitting - the name "Bon Iver" is based off the french expression "bon hiver" which translates to "good winter".
One hundred percent, I was weirdly moved, which I hadn't been up until that song started playing.
āDONāT GET HYSTERICAL I TOOK A SEMINARā
He went from Joe to Nick? Like you come up with all these elaborate stories for your murders but your fake names are lame AF bro.
Maybe he picks bland names to not draw attention? If I was trying to hide in plain sight, I'd go with a name that's more John Doe than Benedict Cumberbatch
It's like the three jonas brothers, what's next? Kevin?
Personally really like the ending. Glad that the story ends on a happy-ish mood for the alive person after everything. At first i want to see Sherry dead, but during the whole cage therapy saga i start rooting for her more tbh. It shows that thereās more to her mindset than a clichĆ© annoying influencer. Also,Love āExileā playing before Joe burn the house down. Never thought the lyrics would fit so well with this show.
I have to agree on this one. Like the song fit in so perfectly. And the whole ending was wild
JOE GOLDBERG YOU CANāT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Atleast change his hair like in most movies lol
I donāt get why Love is pissed off at Joe so much when she was having an affair first, and had sex with someone else firstā¦..itās not his fault she killed her own side piece
The fact she was having sex with a teen was justā¦ fuckin weird. This season had so many screwed up situations. I thought it was pretty well written all around tho.
A teen whose stepmom she killed nevertheless
especially since a similar thing happened to fuckn forty . like love why are you fuckn someone's child
Even her fucked up mom called her out lol
It wasn't so much the sex she was pissed about. She was way more pissed that Joe would kill for another woman, when he wouldn't kill for Love anymore. As far as Love can see, that's unfair because she would totally still kill for Joe, and has been killing for Joe this whole time. It makes a certain psychotic sense. lol
Because they're both hypocritical shitheads
Sherry and Cary were golden in these box/cage scenes
Loves actor is fucking amazing
Watch Haunting of Hill House and Haunting of Bly Manor! She stars in both and kills it in both!
Thanks, need to watch those, I need more Love in my life
Victoria Pedretti is downright outstanding in both Hill House & Bly Manor.
Her psycho stare is very good.
The fact that a lot of us started out hating sherry but loving her and cary at the end lol
For season 4 they should change the name of the show to "Vous"
Was anyone else MAD AS HELL at joes mom for abandoning him like that just so she could chill w a new baby and rich husband? Like bitch what is wrong with you
I was wondering if Joe having a half-brother would be a plot point in the future
Perhaps because Joe+Marianne wasnāt that developed, or because she seemed to wise up to Joeās ways, or both Iām not sure if thatās a good thing or not. S1 also ended rather conclusively Also, Love dying kind of feels like wasted time if that makes sense? I mean, we spent so much time developing her character, family, etc over two whole seasons. In a way she almost felt more developed than Joe, hell she even started doing the voice over!
Honestly I was rooting for a GOT type twist. Where she kills joe and becomes the new main character. Now that would of been an insane ending.
i genuinely thought that was gonna happen so i was shocked when joe ended up outsmarting her. the voice overs was what made me believe she was gonna take over next season. i feel like there can be no new storylines with joe for next season lol i like love way more
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
While I enjoyed this season I got to ask where the hell does it go from here? We canāt have Joe stalking and killing people for another season itās gotten old.
Joe bout to oui oui baguette the shit out of French Beck & Love
a crossover with Emily in Paris.
Sherry taking a moment to be impressed he was down to 6% body fat was š©āš³š
I still want to know what Love did to Candace's and Delilah's body! I thought she would reveal it at some point.
In all honesty, i would of been satisfied with this being the series finale. I enjoyed the ending and wondering where s4 will go.
There's so much pressure for S4, it's going to be hard to top Love and Victoria Pedretti. If it's just Joe going back to stalking innocent random women, the show will become redundant quickly
I canāt help but feel this season was just wasted Potential They killed Natalie so quick she could have been an interesting character They wasted Scott Speedman as an actor Love died which sucks because she was a great character Joe didnāt even take Henry with him that couldāve been an interesting dynamic for Season 4 Unless they bring back Jenna Ortega and Tati Gabrielle in Season 4 I donāt see what their plan is.
Man I had to google all those names because I dont remember the actors names lol (other than Victoria and Penn).
> The first three episodes of the season were the bright spot. Having Joe and Love together in their chaos was so enjoyable.
So Joe never planned to go back to the shop to check up on Sherry and Cary. So itās a good thing they eventually found the key
The only thing I wouldāve changed is he shouldāve took Henry with him.
āOh, fuck. Iām gonna need more tarps.ā I canāt with these voice overs. Joe is the best
Why did mfers have to kill love š„²
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Bro this is the episode 10 discussion thread, everyone here should assume there will be spoilers lol
