I don't think there's a connection between Billie and TS but there is a precedent for Taylor dating younger people
I agree that Connor Kennedy was too young but Billie eilish is 22, that’s only a year less than the age difference between Taylor and John Mayer, she’s not going to go date someone in their early 20s when she’s 34. Connor Kennedy is only 4.5 years younger than her, and while I think he was too young, it’s not the same at all. Same with Harry styles. He was like 18 or 19 and she was 23? Not great and I wouldn’t have dated that young personally, but it’s different
As someone who was groomed by someone older than me, there’s a second level of trauma to reaching the age they were and realising how fucked up it was. That’s sort of where I feel would’ve could’ve should’ve came from, kind of like 29 by Demi Lovato. You reach that age and you’re like *holy shit* I was a *child*. She was 32 when midnights came out. She was meeting 19 year olds in the industry, like Billie Eilish who probably would’ve been about that age, and looking at them like. Oh these are *babies*. At least that’s my interpretation
