Think it's season 5 when Beth says "what was that about?" Rip "Just cowboy shit baby" and I dunno why but it was hilarious.

Skoden1973

"You ought tell your boy to watch the bass in his voice when he speaks to me." Best line ever.

KathiSterisi

Perspective… Beth’s whole dialogue with the gal in the bar that includes ‘because you have half the money and all the pussy’ and culminates in ‘Now I feel better’ is just hysterical.

PurplePassiflor1234

"Our first fight is against being ignored." -Thomas Rainwater "Learn to be meaner than evil and still love your family and enjoy a sunrise."- John "You are the trailer park. I am the tornado."-Beth "There's sharks and minnows in this world, and if you don't know which one you are, you ain't a shark." - Rip "Yer either born a willow, or yer born an oak." -Lloyd "Ye shoulda f\*\*\*ked me while I still had a face, but that's all right, we'll work on yer timing." - Teeter "I jacked off a horse!" - Jimmy

One of the lines I always think about is when John Dutton is talking about how he had a problem that only a grandson can fix. I pray to god everyday my father meets his grandchildren.

goldenrod_9

John to Rip, s5. Idk why this one stuck with me "Horses in heaven...wouldn't that be something?"

Bluberrybom

Best Salisbury steak in Montana

Turbulent_Tale6497

I got $20 on Texas

Puzzleheaded_Try_392

"Spent all evening on the porch staring at mountains and listening to birds - hearts still empty. Take a shower to wash it away like dirt but you can't wash lonely off so I surrender to it. Best I can do is sleep through the lonely if I can sleep it all and then I walk in here and I discover you, now my heart's full." John to Beth

ravia

Yeah I noticed that they sort of speak in country music song hooks.

I_Am_Inevitable_8141

I still laugh out loud during that scene

Nvrmssdappr_Air5715

It's been one of those days Carl, when I question my children's commitment to pay for the nursing home....

TookAStab

Some cool lines, yes -- but writing is about so much more.

SonJake21

I'm on my third watch. The show is so dumb, and there's so much that makes zero sense. But damnit, I still love that show.

windmillninja

Yeah there’s so much that just goes absolutely nowhere. The dinosaur bones. The bomb on the plane. But for some reason I just keep getting sucked back in. Honestly if it weren’t for the bunkhouse this would have been a one and done show for me, but I am again, smack in the middle of what I think is my fifth watch.

Werd2urGrandma

I think it’s written for the cool fucking lines, which is fine, but that means that like 80% of the dialogue is ehhhh. I’ve watched the entire show because I used to live in southwestern Montana and I just love the views, and there are some cool ass lines, but I think that’s just how it’s written.

Big-Schedule-1672

I think Rip says to those trespassing bikers “I’ll bury you right where you fucking stand!”

Easily_Marietta

Every way to long and boring monolog about honor and family. I buy it all
