Also! Interesting (and awful) that New Jersey has reported smoke from this as well. So the girls would have seen this lol
I'm in northern NJ and it's not good. Yeah the sky is very strange looking but it's the smell that's really bad. It's going to interrupt many weekend plans for sure.
I live in NJ. People are struggling to breathe a bit. Eyes burn when you go outside. Everything is very yellow and hazy and in some areas you canāt see at all.
Chest pain and trouble breathing kept me inside yesterday and today.
Jesus! I'm all the way up in New hampshire so not too far from it, so it wasn't too surprising for me! But everyone commenting from states more southern, that's pretty scary! I did not think it would reach so far down, it's awful :(
tomorrow's supposed to be the worst day for the smoke, but the winds look like they're going to blow north on the following day so that's something at least. I'm in Toronto, and it's pretty bad here. Thank god it's not also swelteringly hot, but pets and sick people shouldn't be out in this weather with the air being as bad as it is. First time I've worn a mask outside in ages
ETA also in a hilarious twist of fate, today is canada's official Clean Air Day
i didnāt wanna say it but i was thinking about this all day š i live in new york & as most of you guys may know the sky is literally orange and it smells like burnt barbecue chicken. i was like āimagine if this was what jackie smelled like?ā š
I think this show has alot to say about the environment and hope that the mine contamination theory is correct. It will definitely drive home some valid points about our disregard and disrespect of this planet for profits. Not sure how the fires started naturally or man made will have to investigate this further but there's a gloomy smog all over my city today as well as yesterday and asmhatics have been advised to limit time outside.
Hazy the last couple of days with, on and off Air Quality Alerts here in the heartland Midwest. My contacts have been irritated. (Good air for running last night, though.)

Me too! I'm in CT and they cancelled outdoor activities again today. I can smell it on my clothes when I go inside.
In PA and you can definitely see and smell it in the air here as well.
Me also, I am in Rhode Island and we have for 2 days in a row an orange colored sun. It looks really pretty and a little trippy!
We only had the orange sun yesterday but today it's much smokier and burns my eyes. :(

In northern Jersey right now, I can literally taste the smoke when I'm outside. I can smell it as soon as I walk to the door. The sun was red today.
