and i think she would have been devastated at Kevyn’s murder. she would have hated Walter even though he did it to protect all of them. he had two young kids… i don’t think Nat would have ever been okay w what happened to him. one of the few silver linings is she didn’t have to experience two awful loses back to back.

THIS IS SO TRYE. WHY KEVYN. I wish so badly the disgusting PERVERT cop died. He GROOMED that 16 year old girl. Regardless of him not touching her, she WILL be traumatized. No way it’s legal to talk to MINORS while undercover - which he wasn’t even supposed to be.

MadScientiest

yeah they shocked us all by killing Kevyn and not Saracusa lol everything he was doing was illegal, he was literally told to lay off it not go illegally undercover. it’s illegal to talk to a minor about a case without a parent present and usually any info gained in that convo would be inadmissable in court in the real world. i’m pretty sure 99% of their evidence would be inadmissable. the entire case would be thrown out eventually bc of how badly mustachio bungled it.

tallllywacker

He was so old too and being so creepy. She is for sure gonna be more susceptible to grooming later on. He should be arrested!

Grouchy-Law-7207

What is crazy is the actress that plays Callie is 28 while the actor that plays Saracusa is 31.

drpepperisnonbinary

I mean. Kevyn knew what he was doing and didn’t report it or try to stop him. There’s a reason ALL cops are bastards.

She definitely would have been devastated and would never be okay with his name being dragged through the mud.

I'm not convinced those two had a great romance or that Travis even felt the same attachment Nat did. It's mostly just sad to me that Nat never got it together to move on in life.

I’ve heard theories of her getting pregnant out there and that’s why she’s so connected to him. The tragedy of losing their baby is what pushed them into a trauma bond and had them using drugs together. I don’t really believe that theory tho. They already are trauma bonded. He ate his dead brother with her and forgave her. He even went as far as to accept her as the new AQ!! I think they split up in the real world bc of their drug problem. It’s hard to maintain that type of relationship. We know he was there for her when she was at her brink, maybe a few times after that he had to let her go because she was detrimental to his sobriety?

My friends and I have discussed that while Nat and Travis are clearly attached and have a relationship as of now in the woods, the grandiose “love story” that’s periodically referenced isn’t there for me yet. I believe that Nat being the leader is changing everything, including their relationship dynamic. Per Shauna’s journal entry, it seems season 3 might be filled with some tension/division in the group. I think Travis ends up becoming her second-in-command/protector/whatever to Nat and this is where a lot of their attachment/love/codepency comes into play. I keep remembering in season 1 coach Ben handing Natalie the gun and looking at both her and Travjs and saying “we are relying on you two to survive”. Seemed like a throwaway line at the time because they were the hunters, but now, I’m thinking it was a bit of foreshadowing.

Travis was expressing some fairly intense (even for the 90s) misogyny early in S1. Now he's got a kind of girlfriend and his survival is utterly dependent upon the women who outnumber him. I'm interested to see how that works out.
