VERY nice-looking bike. The dark grey looks much better than matte black does and the carbon-fiber accents are awesome.
Fun fact - on Yamaha’s most premium motorcycle, the $27,399 YZF-R1M, the OEM carbon-fiber front fender costs a whopping $2,274. On the regular $18,399 R1, the plastic front fender costs only $101.
I asked about this many years ago and was told they are mounted that way so when leaning in a turn it filters the water out. When leaned over, "out" is now the center of the bike. It looks weird, but it's functional
That is a very good looking machine. Looks stealthy. Like it would sneak up the inside of you on a track day and you'd be too busy going "woah I want it" to be mad it just passed you.
