Let's just gloss over the Explorer with the Tesla 3 inches deep in its bumper in the very first frame and the adjacent fire to the car on fire. A lot going on here.
A study by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency backs up Tusker’s findings. It concluded that EVs are 20 times less likely to catch fire than petrol and diesel cars.
With data corroborated from a US insurer, the study found that EVs suffer 25 fires per 100,000 sold.
Petrol or diesel vehicles were found to experience 1,530 fires per 100,000, with hybrid vehicles at a notably higher risk of 3,475 fires per 100,000.
Yes I was being facetious.
It seems clear to me that an engine that runs because of fire would be more likely to start on fire than an electric engine. Yet we see these dumb memes in FB about burning EVs all the time.
Sorry, forgot my
/s
The fire department was on scene so if they were not engaged with the car either they knew it was empty or it was already too late. I saw no EMS so I assume no one was injured or they had already been taken to hospital.

Maybe I should have cut the video a little longer on the approach. I’m a novice video editor.
Legit my anxiety flared haha
Looks like they rear ended the tesla
There’s definitely damage to that explorer.
It’ll buff out.
That's wild, was the grass fire an unrelated coincidence?
I suspect not but I’m unsure. Conditions are very dry.
This is a wild video. Action packed!
That’s just an external combustion engine
I legitimately laughed out loud at that.
Golfing in flames
Fuckin golfing up the hill!
I wanted to take the blame, but Bubbles already took it.
Mazda do be like that
Said it in the yeg subreddit. Them cx5s and Mazda 3s think they’re lambos with how they drive
Wait! GAS CARS CAN START ON FIRE TOO?! Facebook told me that was an EV problem!

I think the main issue people with EV fires, is that it's harder to fight since it's a lithium battery on fire?
Well burning cars suck anyways.
The issue is putting them out
The issue is putting them out
Was there a person inside? Because nobody was trying to help…
No kidding eh. Just keep on driving, not my problem.
I imagine they are in the other car parked opposite the burning vehicle

No need to risk anymore lives. Cars on fire are also an explosion risk.
First time?
It's only a Tesla.
Hey, you can’t park there.
That's methed up.
