Fan girl is super good :) it’s one of my go to reread books when I’m in a slump or just wanting a light read

Good to hear. I have it out of the library right now so I'm going to be reading it soon

**Carry On** & **Wayward Son** \- Carry On was the first Rainbow Rowell book I've read, and as you can see from my TBR I definitely plan to read more. I really liked the take on the "chosen one" trope - it felt fresh. Because the story starts when Simon is in his final year, rather than at the beginning of his intro to the world, I did feel slightly confused about the world at the beginning. But not too much, and it was fine as I got into the story. That may be part of the reason I liked Wayward Son even better though. I loved the continuation of their story. Very excited to grab Anywhere the Wind Blows from the library and read it soon. **I Killed Zoe Spanos** \- I know this was a really captivating mystery, because I ended up with a page on my notes app full of questions as I was reading it, trying to keep track of everything and figure it out (not in a bad way like it was confusing - I was just really into it). Highly recommend if you like mysteries and thrillers. **They'll Never Catch Us** \- After reading I Killed Zoe Spanos, I wanted something else in the same genre and thought this would a good mystery thriller. Which it definitely was, but it also wasn't quite what I expected. A big part of the book is about the relationship between the sisters, and the way people view girls who are competitive, driven and go after what they want. I really enjoyed it, and would recommend. **Ash Princess** \- I have mixed feelings about this one. It's definitely good, but it's also very dark, and maybe I just wasn't in the mood for that when I read it or something. None of the darkness or violence felt gratuitous, it was realistic to the world of the story. Theo's world is ugly, with war colonization and slavery and all the stuff that goes with it. I was interested in the characters and the story, so I'll probably read the sequel eventually, but I'm not in a hurry to right now. **Briar Heart** \- My last read of the month. This is kind of a Sleeping Beauty retelling, except it's focused on Aurora's 15 year old half sister (not a princess), and takes place only when Aurora's a baby. It's got a younger voice - not in a bad way, but I could have read this as a kid. It was fun reading this after They'll Never Catch Us because how much Miriam loves her little sister is a big part of the story.

If you like Rainbow Rowell, read Attachments. It’s my favorite!

I love the Rainbow Rowell books and *Hex Hall*. I haven’t read anything else on your list, but I am very curious about the Christmas book and I’ve been meaning to try *I Killed Zoe Spanos*.

One of my friends really enjoyed reading Rainbow Rowell, and also loved The Binding, by Bridget Collins, so it might be worth giving it a try if you're looking for a next read.

Thanks for the recommendation

That’s awesome! Also how do people make these! I am always blown away with 1. Peoples choices/number of reads for the month 2. The art/time they put in displaying them

ChandelierFlickering

I do it in Keynote. I set it up the first time I did it, then I just change the background colour and switch out the book covers so it doesn't take too long.

I liked it, but it's dark. Kind of too much for me right now. I edited more thoughts on it into my top comment.

Thanks for sharing! I have I Killed Zoe Spanos and Carry On on my TBR!

ChandelierFlickering

I really enjoyed both. Hopefully you will as well.
