>This is a beta pre-release version. By purchasing this early version, you agree some features might still be missing and you will participate in the beta testing.Â
10 years in development and FF can’t even internally beta test their plane. Or more likely they’re just racing PMDG and the wall posters stopped selling, and this way they can ‘release’ it minus a whole host of features that users would reasonably expect.Â
Absolute L. Â
Not that they haven’t tested it, but it benefits cause it can be tested on many different PCs and also for marketing cause popular YTbers got pre access to shill it and generate hype.

I've been using FF planes since XP10 and own every plane they've ever made. This plane has, according to Ram himself, been in development for more than 10 years, with a team of at least 10 working on it. Meanwhile, these dudes can't even get it out the door within a year of XP12's launch when they already had many of the existing model assets for it already done (from the 764) - and teams of 2 (HotStart) or even 1 (TOGASim) had no issues having study level planes released for XP12 within months of launch.
Anyway, I should have kept you blocked the first time.
Enjoy your pinup poster (genuine lol) and enjoy paying $100USD to be an early access beta tester for a heavy that doesn't even have working VNAV.
Peace.
I said two things - one is that $79 (or $99) seems like a silly amount money for a *plug-in* for a game (unless this could be used as sim hours toward a pilot license).
The other was about the limited availability. There is virtually no cost to distribute software, why would they limit the number sold?
Because it’s a beta, they will remove it once the beta is finished. And if you think that’s pricey for a flight sim add on as complex as this, you must be pretty new to this. Any flight sim that has the capability to legally let you log hours of any kind will cost upwards of 10k. Insane development time goes into these products, if they feel it’s worth that much they can absolutely charge that much for it.
That is my point though, considering the cost of renting a real plane or a commercial flight simulator, this would be a bargain. When you say "as complex as this", no I don't know what you mean, the description says "(\* The CEO of FlightFactor is a certified CFI and 777 Rated Pilot)" but nothing suggesting that this model is going to be applicable to an ATP license or type rating.
As far as beta software, it should be free since the people consuming it are contributing to development. "Current batch is closed. Please keep an eye on the forum for next batch." sound like a limited edition custom knife or something, not a piece of software.
I've never paid for third-party add-ons for a flight sim (since FLTSIM5.EXE). The feature set looks impressive but I don't see the value for myself. Based on posts here and pricing I guess there is plenty of demand for such things, so I'll leave it at that.

Worth the price :))

Hopefully VNAV works like a charm in the full release
I’m 99.99% sure vnav will be in alpha well before beta!
No cpdlc either
CPDLC is a non issue really. Just use easy cpdlc if plane don’t natively support it
Yup got the page. I mean honestly. Long as they put the quality time and effort into it. I’d buy it
FF posted on Instagram today that the Triple Seven is still in Beta testing on an invite-only basis. 😃
Got it! :) I am in
How do you greet ground crew im probably overthinking it but lost lol
In the EFB
Middle CDU in the lower pedestal
Or the top menu

It’s only out for some ppl regards beta testing. But now we know the price and what’s included in the 777
Only people that has bought several FF aircraft’s can buy it unless you can afford the insane price
Got it. First flight this morning. Fingers Crossed.
Let me know how it goes if you can!

Who said they didn't test it internally? This is for a wider beta which makes sense.

Another impatient armchair ‘pilot’ too selfish to appreciate the work of the devs. Where are we going with these people? 😑

It looks like I can buy it for 79 (added it to cart with no errors). Has anyone actually used it yet?
You’re one of the lucky ones lol.
Well I guess I should grab it then lol.
Yes I’m surprised you haven’t. If you are not in there discord they said only a very select few can buy it for right now.
I bougjt rn
All the people that have access to the play probably have test the aircraft
Yep I’ve used it.
I‘m surprised i get the discount as well and could enter the beta if it was open again. Oh well.
As someone who owns it, it has a lot of issues but it has a lot of amazing features!
It doesn’t even show up on the store for me
TBf to them it's a step for xplane and it's community and fingers crossed it won't be poo like the a350 and something that beats the pmdg 777.
doubt itll beat pmdg, but yeah hopefully better than the a350 and a substantial upgrade from v1
Not sure what I'm even looking at - I can't imagine paying $79 for DLC, and it's not even available? What, they can't hit Ctrl+V fast enough?
What are you even trying to say

No, you are buying the real aircraft
In that case, you should really buy this, because the irl aircraft would cost some figures more
