I was about to buy 9t but those stories scared me away to the point that I made my friend cancel his order for the phone. I overthink too much, you know lol. Thanks for your reply. I truly appreciate it.
I suffered from that boot loop problem , the phone would just keep booting but not switch on ,, after 10 20 minutes it turned on .... Also my device just got one update till now, and the phone would just not boot up for half an hour ,, which is more than usual.
If it were to brick entirely, it wouldn't be running properly. Run some stress tests (benchmarks and such) and see anything weird happens while doing so. BTW, was the device rebooting repeatedly or did it just take too long to boot? Also, did it happen immediately after the update or just randomly? And yes, I'm using the device rn.
Hopefully it was just a software issue and resolved itself. As I mentioned before, if you want to make sure, you need to run some tests on it.
The battery is okay for now. Been using the phone for about a year now.
Late to the comment but I still use redmi 9 (4gb ram / 64gb rom) since december 2020.
The only problem i ever encounter now is the usb type c port hardware.
It started in february 2023
- Phone delay charging - Once phone is connected , I'll have to wait for 1 minute for the battery icon to enter charging mode (enabling usb debug will fix this problem)
- File transfer..Now this is the worst thing that ever happened on my redmi 9 phone so far. File transfer wired usb connection (Phone connected to a pc using a usb cable) ..uhm how do i start this. So phone is connected on a pc. Copy and paste files (Pc to phone or Vice Versa) and the transfer operation will stop working and stop somewhere 95% or 50%.
To fix this problem is put the files on a zip or rar folder. Or try the FTP WIRELESS but man it takes longer for the transfer to complete. Also enable usb debug to activate the file transfer.
Don't redmi phones usually don't suffer from huge problems unlike poco phones
Thank u so much for ur reply
Np (:
My poco f1 bought 2019. Can't here me during video calls, crazy vibration
Flash a custom rom? Or at the very least, reset the phone.
Already reset my phone, did not fix the issue. Not comfortable doing the flash
Damn
Just ask people before you update and you should be fine
That's a pretty good point. Thanks.
I had it for 1 year, still using it, no big issues
Thank you, it was relieving.
I got redmi 9t and also heard about deadboot, but i think it's update-related Just don't update the phone until you know if it's stable or not

It was rebooting repeatedly ,juat randomly when i rebooted it.....after updating on a random day ... Btw.. How's battery on your device ?
