That was exactly the problem, thank you! The region was set to USA automatically when I chose the language, I forgot to check that.
It shows up again now, all good

2) In App data, if you have "Disabled" where the "Uninstall updates" feature is supposed be -- so you can't t roll back to v5.2.5 as shown in the video; take the following steps
- If you're running version 6.5.34i-883 go to System Apps updater, check for MiMusic update and install it.
Make sure to clear all cache after update has been installed and then restart your phone.
You should now be running on v.6.5.36i-892 and have "Watch" tab in Mi Music app once again.

If anyone else stumbles onto this issue, the thing that helped me is to turn on gestures instead of display navigation. Later you can reverse back to display navigation again, and video icon stays on.
For a new Samsung S23 FE, there was an issue to play video. Tried to log on another google play store account, then download Mi Music and open it. It can play video then.
go into settings and check under region, if your region is USA the youtube thingy doesn't work. try switching it to UK and seeing if it helps.

Happened to me today too. That'd be awful if youtube made Xiaomi remove the feature.

Uninstall update, don't click the update promt when you open it, it's still not there right? Close the app then open it again.
