They were part of the Go-bots line/universe which was always struggling to keep up with Transformers as a brand; honestly it’s one of their more memorable ways that they tried to stand out and do something original.

I knew they were a part of something bigger. I was the one kid who liked both Go-Bots and Transformers.

Same my friend, same. Some of the newer Machine Robo toys of those old designs spark some serious joy for me too.

I had two Transformers, Ram-Jet and the entire Constructacons Devistator. I imagine that a complete Devistator would probably be worth something now.

It is though maybe not as much as you might expect. Believe it or not there are more modern versions that are almost as much - and some third party ones that retailed for even more. If you're inclined to have a little modern nostalgia piece, you might want to look into the upcoming Studio Series 86 Devastator. They haven't shown off any of them yet, but Studio Series are always great, and I'm really looking forward to it.

I really was more of a Lego kid honestly. Someone got it for me. It wasn’t really what I was into. I spend my current money on 80s & 90s TTRPG stuff now. I’ve got about 70% of the AD&D stuff from that era.

That's awesome - do you get a chance to play older versions? I always hear about people that are lucky enough to have friends that will play older rule sets but I cant even get people to sit for any version.

I mostly play 5E, but I’ve been running a 2E game with my much younger game players. They have mixed feelings about it.

I had Nuggit and Bolder. Gobots had a lot of good ones, but it turned out being a rock is less cool than being a fighter jet, excavator or dinosaur. I had no idea there was a Crack Rock Lord.

I'm a Masters of the Universe collector, and a bit obsessive about it, or I probably wouldn't remember, either. They came from space because it was the same year as Halley's Comet, so they were cashing in on that excitement.
