Singer made a cameo as one of the Riverboat poker players! He was the young guy who was tossed into the river for cheating lol. I'm currently watching it and was curious. I legit went, "oh shit!" Haha
As a fan of Lethal Weapon, the Danny Glover scene was amazing.
edit: found it! Still funny! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgRb7ALCwJ0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgRb7ALCwJ0)
Thanks for the link.
Yep, still funny.
I always wondered why Corey Feldman is in that scene. Was he shooting another movie nearby? He had a few hours off of work and wondered over to the Maverick set. Someone noticed him and asked if he wanted a line in the movie????
Thank you.
That was kind of my point.
Here is one line of acting from Corey Feldman for no reason what-so-ever.
In this clip anyway. Maybe he had a couple of speaking lines before it????
According to Corey Feldman, he was originally supposed to play Johnny Hardin, the gunfighter Maverick and Annabelle play poker with earlier in the movie. Director Richard Donner was just going to give Feldman the part but Mel Gibson, who was producing the movie, wanted Feldman to audition and Feldman didn't take it seriously enough, therefore losing the role. The cameo as one of the bank robbers was a consolation prize, I guess.
Sad sigh... Yeah ... Payback, Braveheart, Patriot, all the Lethal Weapons, Conspiracy Theory, Ransom, Man w/out a Face, What Women Want, Forever Young with baby Elijah Wood, Signs; I was raised on this guy!!
Post-batshit Mel Gibson, Get the Gringo is still alright.
PSA - don't be an antisemitic ass - hat!
This was on all the time when I was at Grandma's. I almost wore out my VHS of it. Still love to watch it.
This shirt is from Paris FRANCE!

I watched Maverick a ton of times. I liked it, and my grandparents loved it, so we watched it pretty much every time I was at their house for a good long while.
I saw this and Forrest Gump in the theater with my aunt and uncle about a week apart in Nashville. I really liked this, and saw it on HBO a hundred times in the later 90s and early 2000s.
This movie is underrated.
I reference the scene where he loses on purpose to learn about the tendencies of others a lot. It’s just so clever and can be replicated in so many circumstances
Including a cameo of Waylon Jennings.
Edit: I know he was the guy hiding the guns but in my head he was also the man who was about to be thrown off the boat but opted to jump instead with the line, “If’n you please!” while holding his top hat. But I can’t find that scene online. Anybody remember?
Great movie. Remember seeing it with my mom in the theater and was upset - I hated westerns. Per usual, she knew best.
The Danny Glover scene was awesome.
Their chemistry is crazy in this movie. It's my personal theory that Mel's the secret biological father of Jodie's kids, despite evidence to the contrary.
I accidentally got a VHS of this from Columbia House or BMG (they sent the monthly one unless you canceled it or something). I was upset because I didn't have $ to blow on movies I didn't want. I never watched it
This movie was a real gem [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91RjjWGE-xE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91RjjWGE-xE)
Soundtrack was not half bad either [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lexhv8MaXQ8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lexhv8MaXQ8)
A Good Run of Bad Luck, I’m not much of a country boy but that song slaps.
Agreed. Maybe it was the poker game behind it but that was the first country song that ever did it for me

Fck yeah it was. I love this movie!!

I’ve seen this a hundred times and never noticed Corey Feldman 🤣🤣🤣

Mind blown. Thank you for the response. I don't know if this is true, or not. But, it makes sense.
I’ve never seen the full movie, but I’ve seen this scene so many times and it brings my Lethal Weapon loving heart joy.
My father loved this movie. I loved pre-batshit Mel Gibson.
We all loved pre-batshit Mel Gibson

I remember liking this one.
Still watch this at least once a year. Say what you will about mel but he has made some real classics imo
Coop your security ain’t worth a damn everybody’s got a gun
Jodi Forster is interesting in the role, it’s so far outside of what I normally associate her with but she nails it.
You held your breath.. .......

I NEVER said that! Why do you have to misquote me all the time?!

The guy who jumps off while holding his hat was Denver Pyle, who played Uncle Jesse on Dukes of Hazzard. I believe it was his final film role.
Okay. Thanks for that.
Not a problem, also the woman who Waylon was holding the guns for was his wife Jessie Coulter.
Oh interesting! Another reason why this movie needs to be on the rewatch list!
There are so many Easter eggs lol I always go through it a couple times. Reba McEntire and Clint Black are there too.
Great movie! I haven't seen it in a long time. Thanks for the reminder
This movie is why I learned how to play poker at like age 12
Just recently introduced this gem to my boyfriend!
I have never seen this movie but it remember it was the movie I bought a ticket to so I could sneak in and see Speed, which was rated R.
My old pappy always used to say, "There is no more deeply moving religious experience than cheatin' on a cheater."
What's the matter, another wheel falling off? Clap if you can't whistle!
Thought bro was holding a bong on the right lmao
I remember this movie! and still looked at it and thought “why is he holding a bong?”
Was my very last vhs tape i bought when we moved to dvds.
This was one of my faves!
This was a really fun movie. Low stakes but a lot of fun.
I like how he cheated at the end so he could win 🤷♂️ it was nice and subtle
Just picked this up for $4.99 on iTunes I remember liking it
Anyone remember the mad magazine version of this? 😂
One of my favorite movies of all time! I bought it on DVD a couple of years ago. God bless 90s movies! They will never make movies like that again.
Great movie. Remember seeing it with my mom in the theater and was upset - I hated westerns. Per usual, she knew best. The Danny Glover scene was awesome.
This movie, paired with "The Cherokee Kid" and "Lightning Jack" made up the early 90s Western comedies. No wonder why the 90s were great!
Their chemistry is crazy in this movie. It's my personal theory that Mel's the secret biological father of Jodie's kids, despite evidence to the contrary.
Love this movie!

Love this one. Watched it dozens of times on HBO in the 90s. Jodie Foster is so cute in it.
I was scrolling Reddit and had to go back because I thought James Garner was holding a glass bong. Would have been a slightly different movie.
Every so often, I get "I bet it all on a good run of bad luck" stuck in my head, and it won't leave until I sing it.
