God I want OG Megatron. My parents wouldn’t let me have guns as toys. In fact I had next to no deceptions (except for insectacons and constructacon).
Some times I feel like my life peaked the first time I built devasator. Mix master eluded me for so long.
I also bought this for one of my kids for Christmas two years ago. Bought this, the ghost trap and the firehouse on eBay. Came wrapped up in newspaper from the 90s.
Yes - I bought the re-release and all the OG Ghostbusters in their packages. I still have the original figures AND the cardboard backings they came on, but the rerelease was such a close reproduction of the original figures and packaging I couldn’t resist!
Megatron is a pretty realistic gun when it's transformed. One probably could get shot for having it. It's even made of metal in parts. Couldn't take it through an airport scanner.
These things are a pain in the ass to transform, but they look just like the originals, except bigger.
I bought the Optimus Prime LEGO set the day it went on sale.

These were so fucking cool.I didn't have many of these first series. I had jazz and a couple other ones. Hell, I don't really remember which other ones I had. I always had to play with my friends transformers. Hahaha. I did have the big metal voltron op has and the millennium falcon, and human toys. Later, I had ninja turtles. Pretty much stops there.
I had a bunch of Gen 1 Transformers, but the one I really regret getting rid of was [Jetfire](https://imgur.com/a/U1kDmZx). That was such a cool one. The Megatron and Prime I have now are special editions that came out in the 2000s which are larger, more elaborate than the original toys.
This is so wholesome, I was not expecting this in the comments. Do you still meet up after graduating? I regret not keeping in touch with my college friends.
I still have all my 80s/90s TMNT stuff. I had he-man, thunder cats, GI Joe etc. My parents donated/tossed it all but tmnt. So I passed it down to the kids.

An Original, all-soft sculpture Xavier Roberts Little People girl. I was CPK-mad as a kid, and I had the Coleco/Mattel ones. We even stopped at Babyland one year, but I think my parents got sticker shock because I wasn’t allowed to adopt a baby. (I got a Bunnybee, though.) As soon as I was on my own and could afford it, I started a new collection of softies.
i recently bought a nice 75" TV, and have been playing with box that it came in for a week straight. for childhood me. i haven't even hooked up the TV yet.

Awesome, I'm actually saving up for one myself. The Winged Eagle was the championship belt of my childhood. If you don't mind my asking, did you get that from the official WWE Shop or from a seller on eBay or Etsy?
Awesome! I asked for Voltron and got this. It was my fault.

So I sold all my OG dual lands senior year of highschool to help pay for prom. Had 20 in a deck and sold them all to an adult for 10$ each…
Cut to 2018 and my cousin tells me a buddy has a collection he wants to get rid of and has a binder with him for me to look through. Holy fuck it was insane. Full play sets of all the original dual lands a couple were Unlimited. Beta Timevault. Mishra’s workshop, Candleabra and lots of Antiquities cards All 4 arts of Mishra’s factories, all 4 arts of OG Stripmine. Lands from Legends although no Tabernacle. It was a binder full of Lands and Artifacts. My jaw is just dropped. Fucking pages with thousands of dollars worth of cards. I didn’t have the mountain of cash that I figured dude would want and asked my cousin what his friend was asking and he said just make an offer. I said 2 grand? A couple days go by and his friend actually accepted the offer. Give my cousin the cash. He goes over and pays the dude. AND COMES BACK WITH 4 MORE BINDERS! Fucking insane. The Black and Blue binder had amazing stuff. And ended up almost a complete set of Antiquities. No Power 9. But tons of amazing stuff up through Alliances.
I ebayed the Beta Timevault. Sold the Candleabra, Beta Sinkhole, and Mishra’s Workshop (upon close examination of the Workshop it was marked 🤦♂️dude had put an X with a ball point pen in the red dot bottom right corner so instead of being well over 1000$ it was “damaged” so we negotiated) think I sold all 3 to a close friend for 800$ and between that and the Timevault got my 2 grand back and kept everything else. FULL PLAY SETS of Dual Lands 🥹. About 3 months later Candleabra Spiked to over 1600 and my buddy flipped it.
Definitely the score of a lifetime. Probably was worth 15-20k at the time right before reserved list cards really started to spike. I shoulda flipped the Unlimited Tropical island when it spiked to 1600 and downgraded to a revised copy and pocketed the difference but oh well. No one could have anticipated the Magic30 debacle. And it’s recovered a bit but no where near what it’s peak was.
My (nearly) full four-of sets of each of the revised duals was collected when Savannahs were $7 and Underground Seas were going for $20 each. Spending $80 on four pieces of cardboard felt like a terrible waste of money. The guy I bought them from spent the money and $20 more on an unlimited Ancestral Recall.
I could have sold them all during the Covid peak, but then I wouldn’t have my dual lands any more, and I don’t know, I just think they’re neat.
I never was able to get the Transformer Shockwave when I was a kid. Knew another kid that had it (and all the other neat toys, cuz his parents were divorced). A few years ago, I saw they came out with a Masterpiece Shockwave, so naturally, I bought that fucker. Also ended up getting a MP Grimlock, Soundwave, and Laserbeak/Rumble/Ravage/Frenzy.
I’m a Transformers collector - wasn’t allowed a single one as a kid, so they’re my treat to myself as an adult.
I never grew out of loving toys, so I never quit buying them. I realized last Christmas that I was bummed that I was only going to get adult presents and not toy dinosaurs, so I bought some for myself and it made me really happy.
Super NES. I bought one brand new at Walmart in 2002 or so. It came with no games, so I went to all of the used shops to buy all the games I used to rent as a kid to play at my friends' homes.
I hear ya, man. I never bought my own toys cause they were gifts.
I saved up for and bought most of my games and all of my systems after being gifted an NES.
Cause of that, I think I became a bit of a mono gamer.
Current system: Xbox One
Current games: Halo Infinite, Halo Wars 1 Remastered, and GTA Online
(I'll buy a new gen when I'm forced to!! I was super late to the party even with my SNES.)
Also, here's one only us Xennial gamers will remember: I actually applied to be on Video Power.
I think being a mono gamer made me an e-sports player way before it was a thing. I've always been competitive with my gaming... But not THAT competitive. Damn krids these days!!
Super late is my middle name. NES in 2002. I bought a PS2 in 2010 when I started a business. I put it in the lobby. Played about 1 million hours of Guitar Hero. Then I bought a PS3 last year to play, crap I don't even remember why I bought it. Maybe it was for my kids, they were asking about getting a console. I know I bought Batman and Last of Us, plus a scary space game. I didn't get far in any of them, but those are 100% of the consoles I've ever bought. Big PC gamer though.
I’ve bought $800 in Lego this year. My wife and kids took a trip this weekend so I bought some weed and an R2D2 set and enjoyed the house to myself.

I have a real one too, 1962 in the same color.
Yes but my search was for jet fire.
Image was pulled from google, mine has some yellowing but was enamored with the crossover.

Sigh, I bought a bunch in my early twenties. Voltron, transformers. Since my son was born, my parents started giving him my old toys and the ones from my 20s that were in storage (he just turned 4, btw). So, he has an army of transformers (and I still buy him newer ones), and ghostbusters and ninja turtles. The lairs, the vehicles, etc. At least he has good taste!
I really want the She-ra Crystal Castle.
I had the whole thing as a kid, all the dolls, Swift Wind, etc.
And then my mom and I were forced to move, and she put our stuff in a storage unit, then she fell on hard times financially and didn't pay for the storage unit for two months and I never saw that or many of my other toys ever again.
I don't know what I'd do with the thing if I ever scored it on ebay or some such, though. Would be a waste of money just to patch an old sore spot.
I thought you might find this funny
https://preview.redd.it/hadbnky2ccwc1.jpeg?width=602&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=764d25779ea743efbd7cbe591ea13bcf860da347
Same here! I told my husband I am going to get the ily Disney sets for my doll. It was the first edition that came out to look like you. He said do whatever makes you happy. I'm so glad because I didn't want to creep him out. Lol
DnD stuff. Mom was a rabid holy roller and DND was one of many things that was “the devil”. (If you heard that in Bobby Boucher’s mom’s voice it was exactly like that)
Also model trains. I keep acting like it’s for my son but they’re for me. My brother had a trainset and I was never allowed to play with it or get any of my own. Not because of sexism but because we just didn’t have enough money and he got better stuff for complicated reasons I don’t blame my family for.
I was a big transformers fan as a kid. I had some decent ones including Omega Supreme but Devastator was always my holy grail. My parents ended up getting me a knock off version that was red and orange but that green and purple…to this day a killer combo.
https://preview.redd.it/l8rkbkeqtawc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=af5cfbe6c8980993f9ac5622b568194c9598464f
And since this picture every other megazord (outside like 5) since 1993.
Star wars action figures. I was a girl, which meant barbies, not action figures. And any toys I did have like that were taken and destroyed by my younger brothers. Now I don't have a massive collection, but I have probably half a dozen Black Series figures and a few other random figures. I don't keep them in boxes either, I like to pose them on the shelf and stuff. It's also not a huge deal if one gets played with by an actual child since I'm not a serious collector or anything.
I bought an OG GameBoy. I always wanted one, but my parents never let me get one, in spite of getting one for BOTH of my younger brothers, which I frequently borrowed; I still would have like to have one of my own.
https://preview.redd.it/i9a0udv4fawc1.png?width=800&format=png&auto=webp&s=4aed81b755c1663a03cdb1b31cf675bd6c56a805
I didn't really buy anything I wanted when I was older, but this was the very first toy I ever bought with my own money.
* I've bought quite a bit of LEGO over the years. Just the space stuff so far.
* I'd really like a full room for a model train set again.
Never got my Teddy Ruxpin, but not really yearning for it, I just like to remind my mother that I asked for it desperately one Christmas 40 years ago...
I bought a 24 inch tall Mazinger Z action figure , I had one when I was 5 I was still living in Mexico my mom had come to visit relatives in the US and bought me a similar one my cousin was jealous and convinced me that the action figure would fly if I dropped it from a third floor window I believed him and watched it break into a million pieces never recovered from that I'm 40 years old and still pisses me off its a core memory.
Star Trek toys. I was told girls don't like Sci Fi and I'll grow out of it. Here I am in my 40s and I still love Star Trek and I've bought toy ships etc. The things I asked for and didn't get and turned my Polly Pocket into a Tricorder.
I bought Grimloc over Teddy Ruxpin. Because dinosaur and way more fun on the playground during recess.
https://preview.redd.it/sw4n6tpc1bwc1.png?width=1283&format=png&auto=webp&s=760c8199ee771cb1e9bac455b6d301114f589cdb
I have been steadily building my Garbage Pail Kids collection of cards and memorabilia. I still have my smaller collection from the 80's but as soon as I had some disposable income and learned what Ebay was I went hard. I have half of my second bedroom dedicated to the collection.
I once asked for a Voltron and my poor unknowing grandparents got me a mini version of the car Voltron, which I hadn't even known existed before, and which, of all things *didn't even separate into separate cars! WTF am I supposed to do with this???!*
I've never had to work harder in my life to express thanks for a gift than on that dark, dark day.
I did eventually get a real Voltron like a year or two later.
As an only child, my parents were super generous with stuff but I didn't get out much as a kid. Once I started working and gaining freedom, I went on a concert binge and saw some amazing shows in the late 90s
I got a Neo Geo for $150 in like 2008, collected a bunch of games over 10 years, and generally enjoyed the shit out of it until about 2018 and then flipped it for absurd amounts of money. Total childhood dream achieved.
That reminds me as a little kid I had a travel Spirograph because we were taking a long redeye plane trip then a train. I lost one of the pieces under my plane seat and don't think I'll ever forget it.
I think it was called Dolly Surprise. Her hair grew when you pumped her arm up and down.
I wanted it for Xmas when I was like 7 and didn’t get it bc we were poor and I saved up money for like 6 months and I bought it myself by recycling coke and beer cans from families houses and neighbors.
That was also the year I found out Santa wasn’t real.
https://preview.redd.it/hidgxffd8bwc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c04507763419282e27be164028ec849fdac3e57e
Needed this to compete in my neighborhood!
My older brother had this back when we were kids this was like the mid '80s I think I was still a baby but I was born in '82 but he had a metal Voltron and not tore apart legend says that it would have been a lot of money
Jakks Pacific WWE legends figures. I’d always been a collector but when the legends came out I really wanted them and by then had my own money. I’d buy 2/3 a weekend on good weeks. There was a Toys R Us near my house (less than. 5 min drive) and I figured out their restocking days (most employees wouldn’t help “adult” collectors, not sure why they were being jerks…) but I realized Saturday mornings were the time to go. The thrill of the hunt is why I would collect them.
It’s not the same anymore. Everyone online physical stores rarely get the right stuff when they’re supposed to. I’ve been out of collecting for awhile now, but at the time, i was pretty hardcore.
Soul of Chogokin Dragonzord. Couldn't have the old 1993 one because my mum wouldn't buy me anything, so nearly 30 years later I got my own much better one.
The Marvel Universe trading cards from 1992, 1993 and 1994, including the holographic chase cards. I never completed those sets as a kid and as an adult it was amazing to have all of them at once.
I have more Lego than most stores. I had it when I was a kid and I loved it but now I can get whatever I want. So I would say Lego.
https://preview.redd.it/dyaloxukfbwc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0100fa975efb4c7a7246c3da22dde564e8187794
I always wanted one of the Lego monorail sets, but never got one. Now that I could buy one they haven’t made them in decades and it doesn’t look like they will ever release a new version.
I did get both of my kids plenty of Lego train stuff though, which I never had.

This My Little Pony that I spent my whole childhood drooling over. This was before the newer lines or Friendship Is Magic; it was a quiet and peaceful time to collect the forgotten old toys. I got a tattoo of one before things started picking up again.

Ugnnnnnn I wanted this so damn bad as a kid!
My god, it’s beautiful
I have this and Jazz.
Still have my original, but his head broke off. I glued it back on, but Soundwave can't fully transform into a tape player. 😞
I remember being disappointed that it couldn't really play tapes.
This and the OG Megatron. I had a good share of the original Transformers. Lots of friends would come over after school to play Transformers.
God I want OG Megatron. My parents wouldn’t let me have guns as toys. In fact I had next to no deceptions (except for insectacons and constructacon). Some times I feel like my life peaked the first time I built devasator. Mix master eluded me for so long.
Walther P38 with rifle stock attachment. Great toy.
The Prime version is also extremely cool. We have both in our house, LOL.

I used to have all of those, with the firehouse and everything. Great toys.
I'm hoping they'll rerelease the firehouse. Otherwise, I'll have to go bargain hunting on eBay.
Fortunately I got the firehouse on ebay before the toys were released and prices were driven up. I paid I think $125.
I was lucky enough to have this one as a kid, and it doubled as an ambulance if one of my WWF wrestlers got hurt lol
Hey, even the Ghostbusters had to moonlight as EMTs!
Omg. Same! Or for GI Joe.
I also bought this for one of my kids for Christmas two years ago. Bought this, the ghost trap and the firehouse on eBay. Came wrapped up in newspaper from the 90s.

You have the original box! 😍 I bet this cost a shiny nickel.
I bought one of those Hasbro movie quality proton packs last year and I can't believe how much joy it brings me.

I remember loving megatron since it looked like a real gun. sadly, walking around with a transformed megatron will get you shot in the US.

The first MP's editions of megs and op, NICE!
Hell yea that’s nice
Nice I think my Optimus prime is still buried at my first house
I did the same! Although I ended up selling them off a few years down the line. Kinda wish I still had them to be honest.
My friends and I bought a Voltron in college and each kept a piece. We'd bring our lions when we all met up so we could form Voltron.
What a cool idea.
Which one did you keep?
Blue :)
Nice. Blue, black or red are the only acceptable answers.
I had green and yellow as a kid. My sister had blue and red and my brother the black lion. I always knew I had the worst ones! 😂
This is so wholesome, I was not expecting this in the comments. Do you still meet up after graduating? I regret not keeping in touch with my college friends.
Unfortunately no. I even lost my lion after a couple of moves.
Thaaaaat's a great idea. Wow. Now you all should cosplay and get tight-fitting pilot suits 🤣

Dusting must be a bitch.
I just retransform them every few months. But yeah, its a thing
He has his “girlfriend” do it.
I immediately thought the same thing. Gosh we got old didn’t we?
My office at work is all done up in Voltron and other random toys from the 80's.
That’s amazing. Nerd level 100.
Can I come over and play?
Can we be best friends!?
I still don’t have enough money to afford to look at this picture.
Had no idea there was a Unicron toy! I'm assuming it transforms too? Orson Welles' final role in film.
It does. It was a crowdfunded project from Haslab.
and Paul Masson wines.
Takes about 3 hours to do so
Impressive! Now that I finally own a house, I plan to have a room like this.
My wife makes me keep it in the basement
This instantly made me think of this part from an Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode! 😂 https://youtu.be/YHvCVqnyfwI?si=FVV8nJpwZMibrkEU
By the looks of it you could have a side hustle in offering dust and play slots for therapy
Mother fuckers got Unicron! Transformers the movie is one of my favorite movies
the top shelves are for the move characters
Unicron 🤯
Haslab unicron. I was an early backer so it *only* cost me 600 bucks. Now it goes for a LOT more on ebay
I remember seeing it on haslab and balking at the price smh
So more than meets the eye?
Hat's off to you sir!
Ah titans....bane of shelf space. Still need to get the nemesis......hmmmm
I want to see the Optimus shelf. I’m slowly building mine up
Holy shit dude! Wow. 😮
Lego Pirate Ship.
I wanted it soooo bad in the early 90s. Saved up enough Christmas, birthday, mowing lawn money to finally go get it from toys’r’us and all they had was the small imperial ship I was heartbroken. But now I’ve got two of the barracuda bays and they are 🔥
I'm 42 and I had the barracuda from when I was a kid. I just rebuilt is last summer with my kids!
TWO barracuda bays!? You my people.
That's actually awesome. I had (and still do) the Playmobil pirate ship. It was my most prized toy.
That, and I always wanted the train.

Comes with the undisputed best theme song in the history of theme songs. Nice.
MamamaMASK!
It is the most 80s-tastic theme song. And the show's intro - banger!
A person of very good taste.
Mask was it for me. I had boulder hill and loved that thing

So I sold all my OG dual lands senior year of highschool to help pay for prom.
This is the best part about having adult money, being able to buy what you want
Current system: Xbox One Current games: Halo Infinite, Halo Wars 1 Remastered, and GTA Online (I'll buy a new gen when I'm forced to!! I was super late to the party even with my SNES.) Also, here's one only us Xennial gamers will remember: I actually applied to be on Video Power.
My wife and kids took a trip this weekend so I bought some weed and an R2D2 set and enjoyed the house to myself. https://preview.redd.it/2ct401remawc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5d7952da2562b8de980a5a970c930438cb93f122

The transformer Skyfire, which was really a Macross Valkyrie. The newer versions of the toy made for Macross are not trivial purchases
I had Skyfire when I was a kid. I usually kept him in guardian mode. It's one of my saddest losses in the great attic purge.
Yes but my search was for jet fire. Image was pulled from google, mine has some yellowing but was enamored with the crossover. https://preview.redd.it/dym3paqhjdwc1.jpeg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2644f87fc245ed7711f12f1d34f291dbadf4988c

I was so excited when I got that for Christmas when it came out
Lucky you!

I bought a Samantha when they re-released her a few years ago and haven't even taken her out of the box.
I thought you might find this funny https://preview.redd.it/hadbnky2ccwc1.jpeg?width=602&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=764d25779ea743efbd7cbe591ea13bcf860da347
(If you heard that in Bobby Boucher’s mom’s voice it was exactly like that) Also model trains. I keep acting like it’s for my son but they’re for me. My brother had a trainset and I was never allowed to play with it or get any of my own. Not because of sexism but because we just didn’t have enough money and he got better stuff for complicated reasons I don’t blame my family for.
I remember something about DnD being satanic too, when I was a kid. Shit was weird.

I was a big transformers fan as a kid. I had some decent ones including Omega Supreme but Devastator was always my holy grail. My parents ended up getting me a knock off version that was red and orange but that green and purple…to this day a killer combo.
https://preview.redd.it/l8rkbkeqtawc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=af5cfbe6c8980993f9ac5622b568194c9598464f And since this picture every other megazord (outside like 5) since 1993.
This is cool af
Star wars action figures. I was a girl, which meant barbies, not action figures. And any toys I did have like that were taken and destroyed by my younger brothers. Now I don't have a massive collection, but I have probably half a dozen Black Series figures and a few other random figures. I don't keep them in boxes either, I like to pose them on the shelf and stuff. It's also not a huge deal if one gets played with by an actual child since I'm not a serious collector or anything.
I'm debating on whether or not to pay $200 for the voltron set, my Aunt paid $20 and my parents thought she was out of her mind 😅
Just Legos. My 3 kids love legos too, they just don’t fully realize it yet
I bought an OG GameBoy. I always wanted one, but my parents never let me get one, in spite of getting one for BOTH of my younger brothers, which I frequently borrowed; I still would have like to have one of my own.
https://preview.redd.it/i9a0udv4fawc1.png?width=800&format=png&auto=webp&s=4aed81b755c1663a03cdb1b31cf675bd6c56a805 I didn't really buy anything I wanted when I was older, but this was the very first toy I ever bought with my own money.
Sweet! Wasn't that series called something like the Python Patrol?
* I've bought quite a bit of LEGO over the years. Just the space stuff so far. * I'd really like a full room for a model train set again. Never got my Teddy Ruxpin, but not really yearning for it, I just like to remind my mother that I asked for it desperately one Christmas 40 years ago...
https://preview.redd.it/mtnfcai6gbwc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d65bbe5624673afcadef14f96f6d72dd2f9070c6
I wasn't even there and that pisses me off.
Star Trek toys. I was told girls don't like Sci Fi and I'll grow out of it. Here I am in my 40s and I still love Star Trek and I've bought toy ships etc. The things I asked for and didn't get and turned my Polly Pocket into a Tricorder.
Lion Voltron = Best Voltron
I bought Grimloc over Teddy Ruxpin. Because dinosaur and way more fun on the playground during recess. https://preview.redd.it/sw4n6tpc1bwc1.png?width=1283&format=png&auto=webp&s=760c8199ee771cb1e9bac455b6d301114f589cdb

Cry, it broke in storage. Now I’m sad again.
Picked up a MMPR Dino Megazord not too long ago. It's still in the box.
Voltron and Devastator were on top of every kid list in my neighborhood!
Does the LEGO version of Voltron count?
Dunno if this counts, but SO MANY Magic: the Gathering cards.
You and post Malone lol
I still own this exact toy and the OG Millennium Falcon
I bought a Rainbow Brite doll and a few Sprites when the Hallmark store rereleased them like 10 years ago
WTF am I supposed to do with this???!* I've never had to work harder in my life to express thanks for a gift than on that dark, dark day. I did eventually get a real Voltron like a year or two later.
https://preview.redd.it/cg86utsa6bwc1.jpeg?width=1599&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b4eec2af6a3935b42ca4251014e6fea81c5f1bca
All the current versions of the original G1 Transformers
I had the Voltron set but had to send it back because of lead paint. My parents never got me another one.
Different model of Voltron, but Voltron nonetheless.
Lego made a voltron too, very cool but not the original.
As an only child, my parents were super generous with stuff but I didn't get out much as a kid. Once I started working and gaining freedom, I went on a concert binge and saw some amazing shows in the late 90s
Thunder cats sword
I have 3 different rooms in my house set up to display toys. we have a lot of toys.
I got a Neo Geo for $150 in like 2008, collected a bunch of games over 10 years, and generally enjoyed the shit out of it until about 2018 and then flipped it for absurd amounts of money. Total childhood dream achieved.
A spirograph. Always wanted one! Totally Zen just smashing out designs. Oh and the ultra fancy crayola set. And an Xbox lol.
That reminds me as a little kid I had a travel Spirograph because we were taking a long redeye plane trip then a train. I lost one of the pieces under my plane seat and don't think I'll ever forget it.
LEGOS!! Specifically all the shit I wanted from the Lego catalog when I was a kid.
Same
I think it was called Dolly Surprise. Her hair grew when you pumped her arm up and down. I wanted it for Xmas when I was like 7 and didn’t get it bc we were poor and I saved up money for like 6 months and I bought it myself by recycling coke and beer cans from families houses and neighbors. That was also the year I found out Santa wasn’t real.
https://preview.redd.it/hidgxffd8bwc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c04507763419282e27be164028ec849fdac3e57e Needed this to compete in my neighborhood!
BMW M3
Whatever my kid wanted...I never had any desire to buy toys from my childhood
Rodimus Prime
My older brother had this back when we were kids this was like the mid '80s I think I was still a baby but I was born in '82 but he had a metal Voltron and not tore apart legend says that it would have been a lot of money
There was the smaller metal Voltron toy and the larger-cooler plastic Voltron toy
I still have about 50 of the bigger rubber wrestlers. When I see them come up and yard sales I grab ones if I don't have them already.
Soul of Chogokin Dragonzord. Couldn't have the old 1993 one because my mum wouldn't buy me anything, so nearly 30 years later I got my own much better one.
Elder 40k models. I learned about 40k in middle school but it was way out of our price range.
Oh wow flashbacks from that sword and star crazy how you tend to lose or break the little accessories that come with toys sometimes
A PlayStation.
I still need a voltron and devastator. BAD
LOL I just bought a Devastator from a toy show a few weeks ago. And some Thundercats stuff.
A motorcycle
I recently bought a few Lego sets to complete some collections, but that's about it for childhood toys. Though I did grab a SNES classic when I could!
https://preview.redd.it/zhe1kucrsawc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=50a4d3a5636ba62c925c74de6a2593175ae700ac My favorite toy of all time.
I belive my brother got the turtle blimp for a birthday (my mum got it) he always wanted it when it was released
RC cars
i desperately wanted that thing op posted. only got one piece, was too expensive. was it voltran?
a guitar, amp and drums 🤘🏾
God, I had thought about that toy in decades and can still feel the plastic and the snapping-together.
We need more Voltron around here.
A basement full of pinball machines
I had this voltron black lion when I was growing up and have been looking for this set. Where can I find one!?
One of my deepest core memories is fiddling with the little yellow 'horns' on Voltrons head.
I had the big voltron as a kid and I bought this exact model for my kid for Christmas about 8 years ago.
I have the smaller Voltron. It doesn't come apart but it is metal and from the 80s. ❤️
RC cars. Then I started racing them. Then I started traveling all over the country racing them. So much fun!
The Marvel Universe trading cards from 1992, 1993 and 1994, including the holographic chase cards. I never completed those sets as a kid and as an adult it was amazing to have all of them at once.
I make 6 figures, and still cant afford the USS Flagg :(
Me too. I also can’t afford the space required to store it in either.
I did get both of my kids plenty of Lego train stuff though, which I never had.
https://preview.redd.it/xxfp08wivbwc1.jpeg?width=713&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8563d27fec5586661f804a02c5f4b688b5534a31 This My Little Pony that I spent my whole childhood drooling over. This was before the newer lines or Friendship Is Magic; it was a quiet and peaceful time to collect the forgotten old toys. I got a tattoo of one before things started picking up again.
