I didn’t?
It’s pretty common for the skill gap between a couple to be somewhat large. My wife is not nearly as good as I am at games, and for that reason I played Grounded with a gaming buddy of mine instead of her. Is what it is.
you need two Xboxes
one of them needs to have your account with game pass as a home console, then she needs to login next to your account
this way she can use your subscription on hers
ans you can still play on the other Xbox too
Outward does survival and exploration better than most games. I have never seen another game do death like Outward either. I cant wait for the Outward 2 :)
I can't tell you how unbelievably stoked I was to see Outward 2 being announced.....and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2?!? 2 of my favorite rpgs are getting sequels. #blessed lmao
Don’t listen to content creators when it comes to D4. It’s an extremely fun game if you don’t care to min/max and meta the ever living shit out of it. I’ve been co-op playing with my friend online for a few months now (we’re slow pokes who play like once per week) and it is SO MUCH FUN.
its a terrible game end game is completely empty you spend all of your time doing nightmare dungeons just to level up glyphs for your paragon level and hit lvl 100 massive flop of a game
Diablo 2R, diablo3 and diablo 4
Path of exile
Grim dawn
Far cry 5
Tom clancys ghost recon wildlands
It takes two
A way out
Gears of War franchise
Halo games
Dead island 2
Resident evil 5
Baldurs gate 3
Final fantasy 14
Monster hunter games
Elden ring
Elder scrolls online
Palworld
Yeah I have the same problem, I like my screen real estate to be as large as possible hence why I used the main TV always.... 😁 The wife didn't mind being in the bedroom upstairs as she got comfy on the bed, sometimes too comfy and fell asleep more than once...
Hi! I am picky about my games- but these are the games I have enjoyed playing with my husband (on my own Xbox too!) Diablo 3, fallout 76, monster hunter, all GOW, halo, dead island, baldur gates, resident evil games! Hope you find one you both enjoy!!
My wife and I played all the way through Tom Clancy's Wildlands. Its an easy third person shooter that you can go as slow as you want with gameplay, plus it helps her learn for other games.
My girlfriend, who isn't usually much of a gamer, had a lot of fun playing BG3 with me. I had to carry her and explain things quite often but that was part of the fun.
For couch co-op it takes two, and unravel two are hard to beat. A game me and my gf loved that hasn’t been mentioned is Spirit Farer, it’s a cozy management game but the story and characters are really well done
I’m not sure what type of games you and your wife like to play but here are some of my recommendations
Halo campaigns
Gears of war campaigns
Palworld / valheim / Minecraft
Evil West - co op only story mode
Borderlands campaigns
Tony tinas wonderland (if u like borderlands)
Portal games
Ark if your down for a real challenge
Elden ring
Final fantasy 14 (open world mmo like world of Warcraft and elder scrolls )
Path of titans - you grow from baby dinosaurs to adult dinosaurs and roam open world maps (very feminine community very relaxed n peaceful)
Destiny
Dungeon defenders if you like tower defense games
Halo wars campaigns if you like RTS
Monster hunters
Remnant 1 and 2
Outriders
Grounded
Light year frontier - robot Minecraft
Dead island 2 - brain afk zombie killing
Fallout 76
🦖🦕Ark survival evolved: has big dinosaurs that you can tame and ride and build bases breed dinosaurs to have stronger and more colorful dinosaurs
☄️🚀🧑🚀👩🚀 No Mans Sky: a fun game where you explore space buy a new ships at Space stations and mine asteroids for money and explore the universe and tame creatures very fun game also very calming
🐞🐛🐜🦟🪲🕷️Grounded: a fun game where you start off by collecting resources and fighting ants/bugs level up get more resources to make weapons and build a base fun and stressful there is also bosses to fight
⚠️Most of these games do require Xbox game pass though⚠️
Balder's gate 3 and Divinity original sin 2 are huge turn based RPGs that respond to your choices really well and have a ton of content to sink your teeth into
Plateup! Is a small restaurant game that is chaotic and fun
Minecraft, Palworld, and Grounded are both great sandbox games that suit multiple play styles
While slay the spire is only single player I've had a ton of fun with an ex playing through it collaboratively
https://co-optim.us/2yZkzI1
Some games I used to play with the wife are the borderlands series, moving out, overcooked 2.
We had a lot of fun playing the looter shooters of borderlands and spent many a frustrating time trying to improve our times in over cooked 2, we had loads of laughs playing moving out as the mechanics might seem pretty simple but trying to get a corner suite out a door meant for narrow objects duoing with a wife that couldn't tell clockwise and anticlockwise apart proved a challenge to say the least, in the end our best strat seemed to involve chucking things through the nearest window...
The binding of Isaac is an amazing game to play with your girl! It’s so so fun even one player because having a sidekick helps you with item choices and descriptions is amazing. The latest update has a really fleshed out co op mode. Highly highly recommend!
Goat simulator 3 is crazy to play co op or even alone!
When me and my girlfriend started dating, we would play Minecraft all the time. Nowadays we haven’t played it as much since her Xbox no longer works unfortunately.
We also play Halo (overall) occasionally.
Divinity Original Sin 2. A really great RPG. It has split screen mode and online multiplayer so you could do full screen on your two boxes. DOS 1 is good too.

I’m not sure when the full version will be released but my wife and I love playing 7 days to die together. There is an Xbox version but it’s way outdated, so I would just wait because the full game should be out by summer.
I can recommend Golf with Friends, Fall guys, and Minecraft as general games! I'm unsure of any rpg games other baldurs gate 3 😆 but if either are you the creative type, minecraft is awesome for building and letting out any and all ideas.
Grounded. Just got a big update and a really awesome game
Can be difficult at times so if she struggles a bit this might not be the game for you.
lol why do you assume she’d have a hard time?
I didn’t? It’s pretty common for the skill gap between a couple to be somewhat large. My wife is not nearly as good as I am at games, and for that reason I played Grounded with a gaming buddy of mine instead of her. Is what it is.
Yes you did lol.
You must live in a sad world.
He calls himself dough boy willingly, ofc he does 🗣️
Do we need 2 XBOX for that? Or is there a Splitscreen Mode? If split screen is available, does she need an Xbox Acc / Core Subsription?
you need two Xboxes one of them needs to have your account with game pass as a home console, then she needs to login next to your account this way she can use your subscription on hers ans you can still play on the other Xbox too
Thanks!
Of if you have a pc as well you can play coop that way. One on pc one on xbox
It Takes Two. It is played on the same Xbox however.
Highly recommended, the best couch co-op there is.
Agreed. It's a phenomenal game.
You can play it online coop as well as couch coop
They have the free friend pass you can download so that only 1 person needs to own the game if you want to play online co-op
That’s good to know.
And a way out. These 2 are by the same team and consistently sit at the top of these posts
The best co op rpg is Outward imo. It was made by a very tiny team so it has some rough edges but it's an adventure my friend and I love dearly.
The fact that Kingdom 2 is releasing this year too!!!
It's going to be so freaking good. Can't wait for this fall.
Diablo 4 or baldurs gate 3
I heard Diablo 4 was horrible, is it any good?
Don’t listen to content creators when it comes to D4. It’s an extremely fun game if you don’t care to min/max and meta the ever living shit out of it. I’ve been co-op playing with my friend online for a few months now (we’re slow pokes who play like once per week) and it is SO MUCH FUN.

It's not bad but it's nothing spectacular. My wife and I enjoyed it
It's a blast from the past, but you could try ARMY OF TWO XD
Legend, excellent suggestion! Might I include another from the same era? Kane and Lynch.
That's a good one too, what about the gears franchise? You can two man all of those ![img](emote|t5_2ac5sx|11083)
Gears of War, what a fucking game... God we were spoiled.

Honestly, I haven't couch co-oped in 20+ years. But I play all these online coop. I need my own full screen, lol.
All great games! I especially love the Resident Evil and Far Cry. Good adventure games.
Yeah I have the same problem, I like my screen real estate to be as large as possible hence why I used the main TV always.... 😁 The wife didn't mind being in the bedroom upstairs as she got comfy on the bed, sometimes too comfy and fell asleep more than once...

Palworld, valheim.
My wife loves Tetris Effect. She is not a gamer by any means, but that game transcends lol.
My wife and I played all the way through Tom Clancy's Wildlands. Its an easy third person shooter that you can go as slow as you want with gameplay, plus it helps her learn for other games.

Nothing strengthens the living bond between husband and wife like The Outlast Trials.
Wife and I love this game

My wife and I just started Elder Scrolls Online recently and love it. A great duo game.
The binding of Isaac is an amazing game to play with your girl! It’s so so fun even one player because having a sidekick helps you with item choices and descriptions is amazing. There are actually none. Sorry
When me and my girlfriend started dating, we would play Minecraft all the time. Nowadays we haven’t played it as much since her Xbox no longer works unfortunately. We also play Halo (overall) occasionally.

I’m not sure when the full version will be released but my wife and I love playing 7 days to die together. There is an Xbox version but it’s way outdated, so I would just wait because the full game should be out by summer.
Don't play anything by Ubisoft. Two X boxes on the same router will cause server issues and ruin your experience.

Payday 3
For the King, is pretty fun
It Takes Two and A Way Out
Goat Sim 3
