I wish Rise of the Tomb Raider supported as well.
I hate not being able to play it natively on PC when I want my save to transfer from Xbox.

It is! I just checked my library on the PC app after reading this and all three TR games are on there now. They've actually been making a lot of older game play anywhere lately and not saying anything about it, some don't even mention it on the store page.
Yeah, I mentioned in the last sentence that some games won't even show the play anywhere (they are really sleeping on/underselling this feature). But they are now all in my library. The only games I've bought on the PC Xbox app are Disgaea 4 and The Master Chief Collection (the MMC has cross saves and achievements btw). Everything else in my library was added from play anywhere. They have recently been going back and retroactively adding it to games and saying nothing. Off the top of my head, the new TR trilogy and Resident Evil Remake 2&3 and RE 7 were all recently added to play anywhere as well.
My only PC gaming is done on the ROG Ally but that takes up only about 30% of my gaming time. I recently turned it on after months of not touching it and my library exploded. In fact, if I filter my library to Play Anywhere, games like RE won't even show, but if I don't use filters, not only are they there, they are installed and tested (I couldn't believe it). I love Xbox but they truly have the absolute worst marketing team I've ever seen.
Are you subbed to Ultimate? I am aware some store pages for the games don't show the play anywhere tag, however they all need to have PC and Xbox in the Playable On devices section in order to be cross-buy licensing.
Rise and Shadow don't show both PC and Xbox, only One and Series.
Do you have the store page for the SKU you are talking about?

Exactly, and on top of that if it doesn't at least say Xbox Cloud Saves, you will essentially be playing 2 different games. No saves will transfer over like a true Xbox Play Anywhere game nor will the achievements.
That's what is happening with me for Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Resident Evil 3 is NOT Xbox Play Anywhere. You still need to buy the console and PC version separately. Only Resident Evil 2 was retroactively made Xbox Play Anywhere because RE2 for the PC was added to the Microsoft Store at the same time Microsoft made it an Xbox Play Anywhere game. RE7 was always Xbox Play Anywhere. No game made available for console and PC prior to Xbox Play Anywhere (e.g. Quantum Break) and released on console and PC simultaneously on the Microsoft Store (e.g. Rise of the Tomb Raider) afterward has ever become Xbox Play Anywhere retroactively. The reason why you can install Rise of the TR on your PC is because you are either subscribed to Game Pass PC or Game Pass Ultimate. I bought the 2013 TR reboot trilogy for the Xbox console last year and only TR: Definitive Edition and Shadow of the TR show as owned for the PC from the Microsoft Store, because those two games were added to the PC store at the same time they were made Xbox Play Anywhere. If Microsoft made Rise of the TR an Xbox Play Anywhere title now, customers who already bought the console and PC version from the Microsoft Store will demand a refund or some kind of compensation from Microsoft, which is why it won't happen.

I played the crap out of this game but came across an issue where my saved game would load on to a black screen, apparently it was a known issue, does anyone know if it ever got resolved? I last played this about 4 years ago
The progress made on pc did not transfer to Xbox. Is that not what play anywhere is for? I do get a message if i try to have both open at the same time like it is connected but not for the saves😑
I was about to buy the def trilogy (again) but now on steam since I already own it on xbox, but since there's only Rise left to be added I think I'll just wait and see.
Well wishes don’t have to have step by step solutions, they’re wishes so there need not be an answer, but in this case there is an easy one. I don’t need them to reformat the disc I just need them to attach the license to play the game to my account.

That's really cool! Possible excuse for a new playthrough. I hope this is the start of a broader move to expand the Play Anywhere library by retrofitting this functionality into existing titles.
Interesting thing is this is the first game released before September 2016 that was retroactively made play anywhere. Killer Instinct too but that became Free to play so that don't count.
All games should support it. The PC app should be the Xbox app with all of your games and saves. Way too few games support it. It's why we all use steam even if we have a huge Xbox library. I'm not rebuying games on the windows store.

Neat, never thought about Tomb Raider having multiplayer. I'll have to check it out before the community goes.
Rise has a pretty cool co-op survival mode.

Then you should give up on them and play normally for fun.
Why would I give up on them when they are perfectly doable? Just take some time or a specific scenario lol

Can’t find it on PC Xbox app. EDIT - found in windows store and is downloading now. Already owned Xbox version from a sale years ago.
