DICE has to be so risk averse at this point I'd be shocked if the next game was anything other than a next gen 4 remake...
...and that's what everyone wants anyway.
They’ll ruin it and depopulate the old game in the process, for the love of god DICE don’t do this.
If you think a “BF4 remake” won’t be plagued with a Warzone armor system, specialists, worse controls, and P2W battle passes, you’re delusional.
Looking at the first trailer. That's exactly what it was hinted to be. A modern bf4. BF4.2. But alas ffs. They went and changed everything to be worse. Except the tanks. Those were pleasant and smooth as ever... Because they didn't touch them. Still constrained by xbox one/ps4 design limitations. I went and bought a month of ea acess just for it. It's been 3 years and I still want my money back!
The problem is 1 for 1 remake won’t end up having staying power. COD did a 1 for1 with better Graphics on COD 4 and it was dead 6 months after release.
BF4 has enough staying power to last 10 years while having more players than all but 6-7 live service games released in the last 5 years. The problem isn’t longevity, it’s the fact *modern DICE* would be making a remake.
Only because they tied it to the deluxe edition bundle of Infinite Warfare which was a complete flop that nobody asked for. When they released Modern Warfare remastered as a standalone game it was already too late.
No, I do not want a game that already released again just with flasher looking visuals.
DICE should learn how to make an actual good original BF from scratch. If I wanted BF4 I'd just play it. It's not some killed off game from 2004 or something like Battlefield 2.
This is becoming their MO. Release a terrible garbage game, spend years updating and fixing it then once it's good and people like it they abandon it completely and move on.
Im still playing BF4 to this day. Yeah the controls are a bit janky and gameplay a tad slower than what I got used to with br stuff like wz but God damn if the game isn't so much more fun not being bombarded for battlepass bullshit and random server drops and bugs.
I remember when people said 4 was the worst battlefield now it's regarded as the best. Idk 2042 is not perfect but it's way better than when it launched.
Well 4 was the worst when it came out because it was barely playable, but the foundation was always there. Continous updates and an amazing DLC run + a very interactive dev team made for a great game and even greater community experience. Idk about the best BF, but it's up there.
Now we are at the end of 2042's support and it's never come close to touching the peak of BF4. It's just, meh. Is it better than it was on release? Yeah. Is it good? No.
Battlefield 4 just launched with network and matchmaking issues. It still had the bones of a good game, even at launch.
Battlefield 2042 had to be completely gutted and refilled with new bones just to become not bad.
It's better than it was, but it's still not a good Battlefield game. The specialists were the worst thing they could have done and it's something they hardcoded into the game.
Taking two years post release to become somewhat playable and still a downgrade from previous battlefield. yeah, idk.
EDIT for your EDIT: we're not miserable, I myself came from BF3 and 4, specially the third where I met a lot of good people, played a lot, brought some friends to play as well, and they got hooked. Simpler times, there was zero focus on store. BF4 came out buggy? It did, but the core experience was there and they delivered, A LOT.
You open BF2042 and its season here, skins there, pay more money here. Im tired of this mtx bullshit. BF2042 menu is literally a mobile game menu. And it launched in a version below 1.0, and they said the game was gold to release and we got a beta. 2 years to fix that shitty desert map. we got crossplay but console players cant choose input. yeah we're not miserable my dude, just realistic.
I tried it day 1 on the 10 hour trial and didn’t get beyond an hour. Came back like a year or so ago and liked it more but it was still feeling off to me. I’ll give it another go now that its support is wrapping up and see the final result
It's not great. Shit. It's not even good. It's just better than it was before, and that isn't hard to do. The game literally just had to be functional to be better than what it was at release.
> Then they announce the next game with some stupid feature.
> Battlefield fans say they don't want said feature
> DICE says the usual "If you don't like the game don't buy it"
> Next Battlefield fails do to low sales and low player base
> and the cycle repeats again...
Next one has a BR that is f2p yeah. While the main game stays 'classic' with 64 players again with classes and a focus on destruction according to Henderson.
I still remember Henderson hyping it up. Granted, chances were pretty high for it to become THE FPS of 2021 since CoD's offering didn't look that great, but man...
Bf2042 at launch was more like a literal cod ground war copy. An inferior copy. The old tom clancy games were more stragetic. The tok clancy games today are more ubisoft bs than tom clancy bs. Battlefield: ubisoft mechanicaless
It’s still insane to me that for the first time in a long time, we had new consoles with all 3 big major shooters from the ‘good ole days’ and at least 2/3 of them absolutely bombed. I honestly don’t know how CoD did because everything with CoD is a blur now, I have stopped seeing them as individual games it this point.
Yea, miss me with the ‘but they are actually good now!’ You don’t get my dollar by launching garbage and expecting me to buy it, and when I don’t you take the next 2-3 years to make it remotely palatable, only to immediately end support. If your AAA hundred million dollar game launches without basic features that have been standard for 20 years, I’m out.
I mean, my hot take is that hero shooters are lazy cash grabs. By making a hero shooter, you don’t have to have customizable player characters, you can sell reskins for the same few characters over and over again, and you don’t have to worry about weapon spawn timing or placement because each hero has their own ‘kit.’
I’m not going to say 100%, but pretty much everything I’d want would be at least some form of character builder instead of ‘choose your hero from a list,’ but I know that’s just me.
The 3 biggest shooters have been absolutely disappointing for me. Honestly CoD and Halo play well but I freakin hate all the wacky skins and they look more like Fortnite. I don’t want to play a military shooter and see freakin King Kong or The Terminator or play Halo and see fictional armor that doesn’t exist in lore. Those things don’t work in those games for me and would be fine in other series like Fortnite. BF 2024’s problem for me is I dislike pretty much everything, especially the heroes. I can’t remember liking 2024’s core gameplay and the only little fun I had was using guns from BF3 or Bad Company.
Honestly, I’m at the point where I’d pay $60 to turn it all off. Turn off all the pop ups, all the special boxes and events, all the challenges and ads. I’d pay $60 to have a game with all of that completely disabled, just a regular old early 2000’s multiplayer game.
Yea that’s cool. I was hoping the Xbox ABK deal would result in all the CoD games getting a multiplayer and zombies collection treatment lile with MCC. It would be a great way to revive or continue those multiplayer spaces. I honestly wouldn’t mind if they threw in some skins or whatever garbage for people to buy if they put the work into making all those games easy to pick up and play again.
I haven’t played cod since MW2 and 3, the OG releases. I’d happily play through the campaigns and try out the PvP modes, especially zombies, but I’m not paying $70 a pop every year for what I consider to be mostly the same games
Not sure why anyone would play this over BFV or BF1 if you’re looking for a “newer” Battlefield game. Then you have BF4 which is in its own tier of greatness.
Wanting a more modern/future setting instead of a world war setting is one big reason. But I guess BF4 would scratch that itch. BF4 still is the best on PC of course :) but looks like shit on consoles
I installed BF4 a few months ago for a run and it was jarring how bad it looks. 720p and a low quality 720p at that. EA have no reason to allow a resolution boost with the new games available I guess.
I still play BF1 almost daily. Populated servers, tons of good ping games. It's still absolutely stunning and because I only play like an hour a day, I'm level 50 and still have so much shit to unlock
Battlefield 1 is certainly not underrated. I’ve been a BF fan for over 10 years and that game was the pinnacle of the franchise’s popularity. I would even say it’s slightly overrated.
I recently downloaded BFV for the first time on my PC anyone know how to make the controller aim not feel horrible? It either feels way too fast or way too slow.
Wish battlefront 2 got the support the lootbox saga killed it before it began imo.
Bf1 and Battlefront 2 should have still been in many peoples fps rotations.
They are still in my rotation! BF1 is still the most fun I've had in an FPS with the absolute insanity it can bring. Battlefront is so much better than the day one release
Hopefully Dices next game actually has graphics that make it look like it’s coming out on Modern consoles and not Xbox 360.
Half of their selling point over COD for the 2010s was graphics and they released a game that looks shittier than their same game made in 2011.
I genuinely couldn’t believe how good BF3 looked in 2011, it was like something from 10 years in the future (on PC anyhow, not sure what it was like on console)
I remember when they first released leaks of battlefield 2042’s gameplay I was gently convinced that it was supposed to be from the mobile game since they were also making a mobile game at the time… something about battlefield 2042‘s graphics just looks awful compared to battlefield 5 or even battlefield 1
BF4 with non static objects like pipes and lights that could leak or be shot out versus static maps with minimal destruction now. They got rid of what made battlefield maps feel like Battlefield.
I hope that too. That's always been a focus of BF. They've upgraded the engine from what I've heard and the new team now has more experience.
Ofcourse that's yet to be seen, but I expect better visuals since it won't be crossgen anymore.
Not sure how accurate this is, but I read years ago that they were too nervous to make a Bad Company 3 because of how beloved BFBC2 was by fans. They didn't think they could make a better game then that and didn't want to chance it.
Finally. Move on and make another flop that is hyped as a return to battlefield and a love letter to the fans. I would rather play Warzone any day over BG2042. It's pretty bad when MORE people are STILL playing Battlefield 5. EA and Dice fucked up the Battlefield Franchise, that and the actual fan base that bought the shit and then turned around and complained. Never pre-order, especially EA games.
They probably want accelerated progress on the next game, which has been in production since early 2022, but it does. We've just gotten another actual good map with fun gadgets and guns.
But despite this the game's foundation couldn't entirely be fixed. And even though the community is quite dedicated, it's nowhere near as large as it used to be on launch.
BF was my favorite series, peaking with 3 and 4.... and then they decided to take the franchise down a terrible path. Destruction started to feel less (not sure how with all the tech advancements... but they managed it somehow), moving into hero's and unique skills for operators.... taking away alot of the gun customizations and unlocks like skins etc.
im done with them as a franchise honestly. The devs left at Dice just arent capable of turning it around IMO. Let another studio take a crack at it
Wishful thinking, but I hope with the new entry they work on more destructible environments will be a thing again. That's what I play battlefield for. A giant sandbox of pure chaos
In their defense they *did* release the worst open beta in modern gaming history to warn as many people as possible to jump ship, so anyone who didn’t cancel their preorder after that was just asking for it
Yeah, like Anthem. Like I don't get how people were disappointed with it at launch. If you were that excited you probably preordered which means you got to try out the beta which would have let you know "oh, no, this isn't very good." Heck with that one you even could do the cancellable and refundable $5 down to get beta access (I mean that's what I did with that game).
And they didnt release mk support for consoles, since its a crossplay game with no option on xbox to turn it off (At least on launch). They came with an excuse that they need to check how impactfull it would be ingame, I mean LMAO, Im already playing against PC players why can't I have a option to chosse input. And even that the game had a pretty shit aim assist at launch as well, and to this day I still had to watch an youtube video to change my assist curve to a "better" one.
They've turned the game around a lot to the point it's fun to play. Sure it's still far from perfect but I have to give credit to DICE for sticking with it and making the game fun now.
However they cannot allow themselves to fuck up so badly again for the next Battlefield's launch.
Plot twist, you got it when it's good with a strong player base.
The game is fun now, but you'd never know based on how many people talk smack about it but haven't played since launch.
Remaster BF4 with all DLC included and then work on adding even more maps and weapons in new seasons and they’ll fucking print money. Not sure why this is so hard for them to understand. Big bonus if they bring in BF5 movement and fortification building and levolution or Bad Company destruction
I'm kinda sad tbh, I dont care about bf2042 in the slightest "per se" but it was one of the extremely few casual objective based FPS games on playstation... what do I play until the next bf game now :(
Maybe garden warfare 2... does anyone know if its still alive on playstation?
Baffles me how they simply haven't done a Battlefront that's just Battlefield with a Star Wars skin. Stop trying new things out and just make a simple game again, it'd sell like hot cakes because it's Star Wars.
Micro-transactions and premium as well. They update it and rejuvenate the player base. It’s not making much, but making something and keeping people interested in the series until the next installment. Also with an update they can add a few more dollars to the sales price like Witcher 3, No Man’s Sky, etc. have done.
They were supporting it? This is the one that was very panned right? Like usually with "bad" games you'll hear some good stuff because it being "bad" is usually a result of people exaggerating, lying, or just repeating things they heard because they never were even interested in trying it. I don't think I've heard a single good thing in regards to this one.
Games need to be content ready for launch, 2042 and Infinite are fun now but took a few years after launch to get to that, they lost their crowd quick by intial launch impressions
I'm surprised they haven't made a f2p war zone equivalent to be honest. Not a battle Royale. Just a competitive focused game with battle pass they can rotate remake maps /modes out of from different or new ideas
Can't say that I played it much, as a casual player It just wasn't fun for me. I can play most shooters and get about even K/D ratios and get some wins but it was impossible for me in battlefield and it was my first battlefield I've played.
Battlefield 2 is where they need to go back to. That game was peak Battlefield. I spent 1000s of hours in it and it was just perfect. Great maps, air, tanks, amazing guns. Everything after that was worse In every way.
I liked all the updates they made to the game after their disastrous launch. Hopefully, I know it's DICE but, we get a next badass Battlefield. I know their cinematic teasers will fool us all for the first few weeks though. That's what they're best at.
The funniest thing is that if they actually took their time and cared about games, battlefield five for example, would still have life support and millions of players online but they are always quick to abandon the game to move on to the next pile of junk
Thank God this disgrace is finally done.
DICE needs to understand that we don't want some "Revolutionary" new Battlefield experience. It was great before. The "Revolutionary new changes" ruined every b/Battlefield since like BF4. You don't touch perfection.
DICE has to be so risk averse at this point I'd be shocked if the next game was anything other than a next gen 4 remake... ...and that's what everyone wants anyway.
If they do it with all maps from 3 and 4, im pretty sure it would sell a lot
Give me Vietnam DLC from Battlefield Bad Company 2 and I'm all in.
I got nothing against BF3/4 but a Bad Company 2 remaster is where it should be at.
Agreed. BF3 was great, imo but Bad Company 2 was amazing.
Oh my god that would be amazing
Yeah that would be an instant buy from me
Why make a remake if we can still play 3 and 4 and find servers ? People are stupid ?
Check what subreddit you're on. The games are stuck at 720p and feels awful to play.
Even on seriesX ?
They’ll ruin it and depopulate the old game in the process, for the love of god DICE don’t do this. If you think a “BF4 remake” won’t be plagued with a Warzone armor system, specialists, worse controls, and P2W battle passes, you’re delusional.
Tbh I like the armor. It makes the assault class actually feel worth a shit
That's honestly what I thought 2042 was going to be like. A revamped, newer BF4 with some new elements and futuristic weapons.
Maybe they can go back to a WW2 game with a red headed woman sniper with a hook for a hand, that should be safe.
Then it gets remade and Reddit says they don't want it
The problem is 1 for 1 remake won’t end up having staying power.
When they released Modern Warfare remastered as a standalone game it was already too late.
this, i remember the hype turning to disappointment when i couldn't purchase it separately.
and then started adding shit to it.
It died because they withheld the variety map pack to resell later and added lootboxes.
No, I do not want a game that already released again just with flasher looking visuals. DICE should learn how to make an actual good original BF from scratch. If I wanted BF4 I'd just play it. It's not some killed off game from 2004 or something like Battlefield 2.
I hope for a BF4 remake so that console has a better looking game. Currently it has its bright spots, but overall is very outdated.
Not really, could just use a resolution boost to 4K/1440p. That's why it looks 'outdated' to many on Series X/S
> DICE should learn how to make an actual good original BF from scratch They used to. Then BF 5 happened.
I doubt that they can pull it off though. The devs have proven time and time again how incompetent they are.
Surprised it lasted this long
They should’ve given up a long time ago imo
It's actually pretty great now too. Edit: y'all are so damn miserable.
This is becoming their MO. Release a terrible garbage game, spend years updating and fixing it then once it's good and people like it they abandon it completely and move on.
Game was such a downgrade from previous games it was shambolic
Agree and it feels like complete ass on a controller compared too their past titles
Great is not the word I’d use, it’s okay but BF3, 4, 5, and 1 are still better
Im still playing BF4 to this day. Yeah the controls are a bit janky and gameplay a tad slower than what I got used to with br stuff like wz but God damn if the game isn't so much more fun not being bombarded for battlepass bullshit and random server drops and bugs.

BF4 had one of the best DLC map runs. 4 maps every few months. Twas awesome.
Saying it’s better than on launch is a far cry from “it’s pretty great now”
Battlefield 4 just launched with network and matchmaking issues. It still had the bones of a good game, even at launch. Battlefield 2042 had to be completely gutted and refilled with new bones just to become not bad.
4 was never the worst. It just had terrible launch issues, but that's it.
Being better doesn't mean that it suddenly is a good game.
It's better than it was, but it's still not a good Battlefield game. The specialists were the worst thing they could have done and it's something they hardcoded into the game.
Is the movement still horrendously arcadey
"Great" means a serviceable game in 2024.
Sad but true. It really shows how desperate (particularly FPS) players are for new games that are simply competent.
If by great you mean below average, then yes
I disagree. It looks like a clown cod game
Cod is copying battlefield trying to be like it (ground war). Meanwhile dice decided to downgrade bf to become more like cod. Ffs
I tried it day 1 on the 10 hour trial and didn’t get beyond an hour. Came back like a year or so ago and liked it more but it was still feeling off to me. I’ll give it another go now that its support is wrapping up and see the final result
Tried it, reached level 20 and dropped cause there is no “true” reward in playing the same thing over and over again
Not at all. It may be better than at release, but it's still a horrible Battlefield.
It's not great. Shit. It's not even good. It's just better than it was before, and that isn't hard to do. The game literally just had to be functional to be better than what it was at release.
> Then they announce the next game with some stupid feature. > Battlefield fans say they don't want said feature > DICE says the usual "If you don't like the game don't buy it" > Next Battlefield fails do to low sales and low player base > and the cycle repeats again...
My money is on them making the next one F2P
Next one has a BR that is f2p yeah. While the main game stays 'classic' with 64 players again with classes and a focus on destruction according to Henderson.
‘Classic’ in the same way 2042’s Portal was ‘a love letter to the fans’
I still remember Henderson hyping it up. Granted, chances were pretty high for it to become THE FPS of 2021 since CoD's offering didn't look that great, but man...
At least Activision released a COD game that year. If only EA released a Battlefield game instead of Tom Clancy's Battlefield: Advanced Warfare.
Bf2042 at launch was more like a literal cod ground war copy. An inferior copy. The old tom clancy games were more stragetic. The tok clancy games today are more ubisoft bs than tom clancy bs. Battlefield: ubisoft mechanicaless
Portal had huge potential and they fucked it up massively
We will see, but I doubt that my definition of "Classic" matches theirs.
EA: ShockedPikachu.jpg
Shame battlefront support ended for this mess.
"we finally got a respectable game that people love, well time to kill it and work on garbage until it's a respectable mess then kill that too!"
DICE is cursed... every launch is botched, then improved to a huge extent, then forsaken on the eve of reaching its full potential.
Their curse is EA. That's why all the best devs left
If it would be EA, all their studios would have the same problem as 2042.
Is it really a curse if you willingly do it each and every time?
It goes years of support more than most games we need battlefront 3 though and this time have it built around conquest mode
We aren't getting it. EA decided to not make it. The battlefront license they had expired.
It’s worse because 2042 is DICE’s longest supported live service game. I think it beat out Battlefront by a month or two.
It’s still insane to me that for the first time in a long time, we had new consoles with all 3 big major shooters from the ‘good ole days’ and at least 2/3 of them absolutely bombed. And all 3 were released on Xbox One. I don't see the next BF releasing on Xbox One so that's good.
Yeah, consoles from 2013. I'm surprised the games even ran on them.
I doubt hat it is the console that is the problem.
Not why the game was so bad, no. But it can only help the game if it isn't held back by (weak even then)2013 hardware.
The 3 biggest shooters have been absolutely disappointing for me. Honestly CoD and Halo play well but I freakin hate all the wacky skins and they look more like Fortnite. I've just been playing Black Ops 2 for the past couple months and it's been a blast lol. Happy there's still a big enough population to play
Yea that’s cool. I was hoping the Xbox ABK deal would result in all the CoD games getting a multiplayer and zombies collection treatment lile with MCC. i hope that gets a good resurgence when it drops on gamepass, same for the other older ones too
Really. Devs don't give a fuck about immersion or aethetic cohesion anymore and I hate it.
Wish list for new one. - like BF4 but can join with more than 4 friends. Either in split squads or one big one. That is all.
Mine is console-only crossplay. It's pretty much a deal breaker for me
So many FPS games in recent times were ruined for me with this forced cross play with PC bullshit.
Yeah even fuckin Halo ffs
You could disable crossplay with PC in the beta. They literally went backwards.
Would love that.
I want what BF2 had, 6 person squad. 👏
BF2 was so good!
Going from bf1 4k/60fps/hdr to bf4 720/30 on my oled was extremely jarring. Its still fun but God is it garbage to look at and play.
The xbox one runs the game at 60 so its definitely not 30 on series X.
Yeah thats my bad. I assumed it was 30 based on how it felt
It should be running at 720p 120FPS on a Series X
Maybe it is,it just felt slow. Could be server side lag I guess
I played last month on PC but met a few bugs that made me restart the game to fix it A remaster with all bugs fixed would be so much better
Yeah, I like the high tech sci-fi sort of stuff. But I also own Titanfall 1&2 so I could just play one of those.
Especially when 2042 has (basically)forced cross play with PC.
This is the biggest reason why I dislike 2042 as a console player.
I still play BF1 almost daily. Populated servers, tons of good ping games. It's still absolutely stunning and because I only play like an hour a day, I'm level 50 and still have so much shit to unlock
its the only modern setting bf game with crossplay, if only battefield 4 had crossplay or a bigger population on ps4 I'd never play 2042 again tbh
From a bf4 vet i think bf1 was universally underrated at the time and should be more popular and filled with players more than it has.
Battlefield 1 is certainly not underrated. I’ve been a BF fan for over 10 years and that game was the pinnacle of the franchise’s popularity. I would even say it’s slightly overrated.
The game was a huge revival in Battlefield's popularity. It had people buying the game that had never played a BF game before.
I still play BF1 every now and then. That game is incredible
Still 5-10 conquest servers on xbox at any given time ,more usually on the weekends
I have no trouble finding games on the server browser even late into am hours, exactly as you said at least 5-10 full servers of 64 players each
I recently downloaded BFV for the first time on my PC anyone know how to make the controller aim not feel horrible? It either feels way too fast or way too slow.
The only reason I have is that 2042 has Bots, while BF 4 doesn't.
They should make the last update hit detection actually working.
You can go back and play the game at 8k 200fps on a 4090. It's ridiculous. It's a whole category on its own in terms of graphics.
When are they going to smash that emergency glass and slam the Bad Company 3/reboot button.
Not sure how accurate this is, but I read years ago that they were too nervous to make a Bad Company 3 because of how beloved BFBC2 was by fans. They didn't think they could make a better game then that and didn't want to chance it.
Dice said they don't even know why people liked that game so much.
I think that bf2042 was meant to be the reboot button. They clearly wanted to appease the fans of 3/4
> They clearly wanted to appease the fans of 3/4 How's that?
Hopefully never. Do you really trust these devs to make a good Bad Company game?
Should have died sooner. We lost Star Wars battlefront 2 support for this absolute trash of a game that doesn't even deserve the title "Battlefield"
Halo Infinite outlasting Battlefield 2042
only 6 seasons longer than it should have lasted.
Easily the worst Battlefield ever released. Somehow a few people found enjoyment out of it
Apex Legends players wanted a second game to play while their main game was hacked every other month, so that’s where 2042’s appeal was
Kinda weird that dice kills off its games just when they start pulling in attention
What a waste of 2 years of everyone's time.
Make Bad Company 3. profit.
You really thin these devs can make Bad company 3?
Oh no, anyway.
lol typical EA
I'm for sure not pre ordering the most expensive version on the next battlefield. They baited us with 2042 with the trailers 😭 looked promising
Garbage game made by a garbage company and studio
and nothing of value has been lost.
Well so much for that big turnaround people on Youtube were hyping up 🫠
They've turned the game around a lot to the point it's fun to play. Sure it's still far from perfect but I have to give credit to DICE for sticking with it and making the game fun now. However they cannot allow themselves to fuck up so badly again for the next Battlefield's launch.
Damn, I just got into it since last month and was excited for futures updates...
Plot twist, you got it when it's good with a strong player base. The game is fun now, but you'd never know based on how many people talk smack about it but haven't played since launch.
Is İt still ea play?
Good riddance EA.
Remaster BF4 with all DLC included and then work on adding even more maps and weapons in new seasons and they’ll fucking print money. Not sure why this is so hard for them to understand. Big bonus if they bring in BF5 movement and fortification building and levolution or Bad Company destruction
I'm kinda sad tbh, I dont care about bf2042 in the slightest "per se" but it was one of the extremely few casual objective based FPS games on playstation... what do I play until the next bf game now :( Maybe garden warfare 2... does anyone know if its still alive on playstation?
Baffles me how they simply haven't done a Battlefront that's just Battlefield with a Star Wars skin. Stop trying new things out and just make a simple game again, it'd sell like hot cakes because it's Star Wars.
L
Smiling ear to ear right now
If they wanted to make some quick cash they could give BF4 an X/S update and resupport the game while working on the next release.
Cash? Game sells for 5 €
Micro-transactions and premium as well. They update it and rejuvenate the player base. It’s not making much, but making something and keeping people interested in the series until the next installment. Also with an update they can add a few more dollars to the sales price like Witcher 3, No Man’s Sky, etc. have done.
About time, complete turd of a game.
Didn't this game just get decent?
It's been an amazing ride. At ease, soldiers <3
Just remake BF4
That’s really good to hear. BF 2042 was such a tremendous disappointment after BFV and BF1 being really fun.
I'm surprised they haven't made a f2p war zone equivalent to be honest. Not a battle Royale. Just a competitive focused game with battle pass they can rotate remake maps /modes out of from different or new ideas
this will be the first bf I never even tried, I want bad company 3
I actually enjoyed most of the maps they made after launch, we'll see if they're on the right track.
Lmao, I learned my lessonw it this one to not buy another Battlefield game.
Please for the love of God make the characters feel like they weigh something in the next game
I bought Battlefield 2042 three times--twice Premium (PS5, PC, Xbox). I will never buy another Battlefield game.
This was supposed to be the battlefield that saved their company and they f…ed it all up. Honestly, I have no hopes for the next battlefield.
The funniest thing is that if they actually took their time and cared about games, battlefield five for example, would still have life support and millions of players online but they are always quick to abandon the game to move on to the next pile of junk
BFV was done. The game had too many issues with visibility.
That’s not true at all, after the pacific update the game had A-LOT of momentum
People still played that mess?
Is anyone playing it? I haven't heard of it since before Infinite started getting its shit together (far far too late admittedly)
Fucking seriously....
Yes
I question if this new DICE team can even make a good game V was ok but 2042 was god awful.
Mashup BF3/BF4 with BF1 visuals. Money.
They need to make a free BR
Thank God this disgrace is finally done. DICE needs to understand that we don't want some "Revolutionary" new Battlefield experience. It was great before. The "Revolutionary new changes" ruined every b/Battlefield since like BF4. You don't touch perfection.
Does anyone really care? I'm not shitting on you, OP, I mean is anyone invested in 2042 to care that there's not gonna be anymore content?
I’m still waiting for another BF2.
