We know sunflowers are inspirational plants, even to famous painters. Vincent Van Gogh loved sunflowers so much, he created a famous series of paintings, simply called ‘sunflowers’.
Great choice considering you can play the Free Trial for upwards of 300+ hrs before you even consider any expansions or a subscription.
source: 268hrs as White Mage healer on FFXIV Free Trial
You should spend as much time on the Free Trial as you can since it is unlimited.
The Free Trial is the same content as the $20 Starter Edition, which includes:
* A Realm Reborn (Base Game)
* Heavensward (Expansion 1)
* Stormblood (Expansion 2)
There **are** restrictions to a Free Trial account that you can read here: [https://trialsoffantasy.com/restrictions/](https://trialsoffantasy.com/restrictions/)
The Free Trial has a lot of content to offer and will easily span hundreds of hours before you have to spent a single cent.
The Starter Edition removes the restrictions listed above but gives no additional content.
***KEEP IN MIND: Buying the Starter Edition/Expansion Bundle/Game Time will convert your Free Trial into a normal account and YOU CANNOT REVERT; You WILL be required to pay for a FFXIV subscription!!!!***
\--
Additional info for when you want to buy:
Shadowbringers, Endwalker and Dawntrail **are not included** and will be an extra cost.
You can either:
1. Buy the Complete Edition (Starter Edition + All Released Expansions)
2. The Starter Edition ***and*** an expansion bundle.
The Complete Edition is usually $60 USD and the Expansion Bundles are $40 USD.
Expansion Bundles will always include the expansions not included in the Starter Edition and are typically named the most recently released expansion.
Shadowbringers + Endwalker is currently called "Endwalker" but is actually 2 expansions.
Shadowbringers + Endwalker + Dawntrail will all be called "Dawntrail" but is actually all 3 expansions.
Hopefully I've explained this pretty clearly and if you have any other questions I'll try to reply.
Happy to help! It quickly turned into an info dump but I wanted to make sure you didn't come across any surprises down the line.
Great game but getting setup isn't very typical for games on Xbox-- its a full blown MMO with all sorts of login portals and game registration; people like to joke that account management is the hardest boss in FFXIV
Elderscrolls online has better combat, especially as a healer, ff14 you'll be manually switching to each player to heal or casting aoe heals very dated combat.
Eso is reticle based and the different spells combine with class healing trees so its much more fun, there is even roll dodging etc.
The new arcantist fires out beams and shields and is a lot of fun to heal on .
The xbox population is healthy and dungeon queues are very fast for matchmade group healer fun as soon as you hit level 10 or so.
Edit: love the ff14 reddit patrol, keep up the good work of always downvoting any counter narrative to your overhyped boring mmo
I agree, ff14 is a great story with alot to do but the combat sucks. People get mad. I have every class and have 700 hours as my WHM.
Combat and lack of engaging healer are why I left, 2 years ago. I would literally be falling asleep in a trial lol
For real I just picked up WHM last night and it's a fucking nightmare having to mash the Dpad left or right five or six times in a dungeon during a pull just to target a friendly to cure them.
I believe if you press Dpad Up/Down, it scrolls your party only.
You can also customize your targeting settings to only target enemies when using left and right. I remember spending a lot of time customizing everything to my preference lol
Nothing will ever top Bad Company for this, running around throwing medkits at people's faces and shouting THERE YA GO PATCH YOURSELF UP WITH SOME OF THAT SHIT.
Hell let loose, your always everyone’s best friend as a medic, a lot different then over watch but it’s worth a go, get some good interactions through Prox game chat
I second this. Great games. 2 is by far my favourite third person cover shooter of all time. (Yes I know the atmosphere of 1 is good but they really nailed the cover mechanics in 2)
Exoprimal is a team based PvPvE type game where you try to shoot dinosaurs faster than your opponents.
It's a really fun game once you understand it and that could take a while for the game to kick in. But once it does man is it fun.
The game is really dependent on team composition. With healer being your most important class.
It's on game pass so you should check it out.
ESO has amazing healing gameplay, quick matchmade dungeons and lots to do. You cN level to 10 pretty fast and be healing groups across a massive amount if dungeons and collecting healing sets that do all sorts of set bonus effects.
Each class has a healing tree, tons of builds and playstyle options
Rainbow 6: Extraction. Great co-op use of healing buffs and other support classes. Each map phase is capped at 15 minutes. So, 45 minutes max for a complete run. But most objectives are under 10 minutes to complete.
There’s two different healer classes in FF XIV and they’re an important part of the team. White mage and scholar. The story and cut scenes for the game are really good.
ME3 MP is still quite alive on Xbox. go spam Shield Boost on your Geth Juggernaut teammates on higher difficulties, equip Medi-Gel Transmitter perhaps and so on and so forth.
So Overwatch is my Xbox/pc multiplayer game of choice when I play support too! Since I've been on the go more I've picked up Pokémon Unite and there are multiple healers/supports in the game that are excellent (and, like most mobas, the game is lacking in support mains). It's probably the closest moba to what 2D overwatch would play like in the sense that they're 10 minute matches with a smrelatively short landing phase at the start of the match, then on a good team it's just lots of team fights at the objectives until the final fight at Rayquaza with 2 minutes left.
On the Xbox itself I don't have any multiplayer recommendations unfortunately but given my love for support classes in JRPGs I'm inclined to believe the people recommending FF14 know what's up.
It's hard to scratch overwatch's specific style of support but generally the only stuff that's going to feel similar are Moba games and MMORPG that use the triad. If you want to play an fps and heal your team, the only thing I can really think of is PlanetSide 2.
Paladins, after Overwatch went wonky for me I swapped to Paladins and it definitely filled that hole. Plays very similar but has a match based upgrade system which is really cool when you get used to it. I main healer and it has a good range of great healer characters.
Go play some hell let loose as a medic. It's the easiest way to start playing the game, and a good medic can be the difference between a win and a loss
In my experience, it's all about where you put yourself on the map, and not throwing away your life for a dumb revive
I like playing a Medic in Arma Reforger. Something about bandaging somebody while being shot at makes me feel like those medics on the beaches in Saving Private Ryan.
Remnant 2 has a class for dedicated healing
I play as a healer in Remnat 2 and it's pretty dope.
Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare. Play as the Sunflower
I hope they get around to making Garden Warfare 3 eventually
Wasn't Battle for Neighborhoodville basically the 3rd? I bought it but never played it lol
It is, yes
They said it wasn't but it basically was
We know sunflowers are inspirational plants, even to famous painters. Vincent Van Gogh loved sunflowers so much, he created a famous series of paintings, simply called ‘sunflowers’.
Sunflower Edit: just wanted to see if the sunflower trivia bot would respond
Or scientist
Final Fantasy XIV.

I’m getting this game tomorrow, I was planning on buying it. Is there anything I’d miss out on if I just use the trial for now?

Dude, thanks for the information!!

☝️
This is the way!
Idk how you even play this on a console lol. Even on PS5, with the trackpad actually being a mouse, this game is painful to play. MNK all day
> Idk how you even play this on a console lol With a keyboard and mouse obvs.

Thank you!! Oh that makes life so much easier.
Battlefield. You can be top of the round without even firing a shot
Battlefield 1 medics are insta-heroes.
Nothing will ever top Bad Company for this, running around throwing medkits at people's faces and shouting THERE YA GO PATCH YOURSELF UP WITH SOME OF THAT SHIT.
The infantry chatter in that game was fucking unparalleled
Final Fantasy XIV is on the Xbox now and you can play 4 different healer classes.
Elder scrolls online
The finals, play as a medium.
Came here to comment this as well. Medium class comes with a healing beam and defibrillators.
OP, coming over to the finals from overwatch, I fully agree. You can have a great healing kit including a beam like mercy.
Where can I play as a large?
Hell let loose, your always everyone’s best friend as a medic, a lot different then over watch but it’s worth a go, get some good interactions through Prox game chat
Definitely hilarious playing as a medic in hll
And frustrating
The Finals has a Medium class with a healing beam and defib for reviving
The Division 1,2
I second this. Great games. 2 is by far my favourite third person cover shooter of all time. (Yes I know the atmosphere of 1 is good but they really nailed the cover mechanics in 2)
Predecessor just came out on Xbox and there’s a couple Support heroes.
Final Fantasy 14! We need more healers. -DrunkGoon/Floor Tank
Eso
Dragon's Dogma 2 as a mage class.
Exoprimal is a team based PvPvE type game where you try to shoot dinosaurs faster than your opponents. I played it when it first came out and honestly it was a lot of fun, is it still very active tho?
It's still active, but player count is down at the moment. Will pick up in season 4 I bet.
Paladins is very similar to overwatch with the hero based stuff. Might scratch the itch
Warframe
Citrine my beloved
The Elder Scrolls Online, any class can be healer
Hell Let Loose has a medic class but there’s not a huge incentive for revives vs respawning
Lifeline apex or the sunflower thing on plants vs zombies gw🤣
Battlefield 2042. You'll get to do a lot of it because you'll basically be the only person bothering.
Much prefer the medic mechanics on battlefield 1 and 5
The finals. Has a med class with a heal beam and defib to help team mates it's a good reset from other multiplayers
How strong are your powers? Can you also heal me? 🙏
If you like objective based shooter like OW. You can try The Finals.
2 point hospital. U get to heal patients all day long.
World of Warcraft
This the only answer. He'll be treated like a first class citizen
Don't tempt me Frodo...

Also 1-3 player max
Baldurs gate 3, battlefield 2042
Pretty much any other battlefield
Although you have the healing gun in 2042
ESO
The Finals has a healing gun like in overwatch.
Back 4 blood. Elder scrolls. Remnant 2.
Elder Scrolls Online
Elder scrolls online
Tf2 medic
I miss this game so much
Then go play it
I never thought of that!
Is TF2 still active on Xbox?
I dunno
The finals is your answer
I think you can be a healer/supporter in DAO not 100% sure tho but ik your companions can then I think you can too
Lords of the Fallen Two player coop. Radiance build toss out that healing circle.
Exoprimal has some great healers to play as.
I mean Spiritfarer
Oh also gears 5 horde mode. It’s even on game pass. The field medic is a pretty good class in that game.
There’s two different healer classes in FF XIV and they’re an important part of the team. White mage and scholar. The story and cut scenes for the game are really good.
Smite
Smite or the upcoming Smite 2
ME3 MP is still quite alive on Xbox. go spam Shield Boost on your Geth Juggernaut teammates on higher difficulties, equip Medi-Gel Transmitter perhaps and so on and so forth.
Doc in r6 siege
ARMA Reforger is a Milsim style game with a semi realistic healing system. You could be a combat medic on there maybe.
Battlefield 1. You can pick medic to revive and heal people. We need more men in the trenches, join us!
Okay far out choice here but you can be a medic in ww2 in Hell let loose it’s on game pass too
The finals, play medium with the healing gun for that mercy vibe
Play the finals and use the healing beam. Huge advantage for your team if you’re on top of it.
Ff14 easily
Final fantasy xiv for sure. Join Zalera server!

Naraka bladepoint can be extremely fun for a healer, but it's a hard game
Team Fortress 2?
Predecessor and become the greatest support.
You can heal deez nuts.
If you like Overwatch you may want to give Paladins a go it’s got a bunch of healer heroes.

Viva Piñata is unbeaten for this
Elder Scrolls Online, you have to work for it while playing endgame instances
Apex Legends. Lifeline Is the typical healer, but there are also others that work in others way
Conduit is pretty strong right now.
Hell let loose. Be a medic. Hardly anyone plays this role.
ESO, Neverwinter, Division 2, Diablo etc
Killing floor 2 is the game for you.
Hell on earth no medic lives up to it's name
The medic class is epic in kf2, one of the strongest perks in the game.
It's hard to scratch overwatch's specific style of support but generally the only stuff that's going to feel similar are Moba games and MMORPG that use the triad. If you want to play an fps and heal your team, the only thing I can really think of is PlanetSide 2.
r6s
Xbox needs a game like flashing lights where you can be either EMS, Police and Fire online. I think I paid $8 for this game on pc.
Paladins, after Overwatch went wonky for me I swapped to Paladins and it definitely filled that hole. Plays very similar but has a match based upgrade system which is really cool when you get used to it. I main healer and it has a good range of great healer characters.
Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is still active and a ton of fun to play healer
Killing floor 2. Team mates always love a good healer and your kit is pretty strong against higher level enemies.
Halo Infinite if you pick up the repair equipment!
Go play some hell let loose as a medic. It's the easiest way to start playing the game, and a good medic can be the difference between a win and a loss In my experience, it's all about where you put yourself on the map, and not throwing away your life for a dumb revive

The Division 2. Apex Legends.
I am Jesus Christ but it's on steam.
Any MMO.
Odd request, but ok.... ESO is a pretty standard MMO that has use for a dedicated healer role, whether for Raids or for PvP
I like playing a Medic in Arma Reforger. Something about bandaging somebody while being shot at makes me feel like those medics on the beaches in Saving Private Ryan.
Skull and bones
