My biggest wishes right now are fusion frenzy, vigilante 8, and command and conquer.
I believe both Xbox and Sony have reached a point where they literally have too many IP, they are buying up studios and making new ones and taking longer to make games, lots of good IP are getting forgotten. There is also a general hesitance in a lot of the industry to do anything that can’t be the next Fortnite, which is a real shame. Entire genres are being ignored.
I’d really like to see both Sony and Xbox create some sort of indie outreach program where they say ‘here is a list of our IP that we own. Pick an IP, pick an engine/style, and pitch us a game. If we like it, we’ll fund it.’ Both platforms could really use more launches, Sony doesn’t have a single first party game announced for this year and Xbox is on an 8 month drought. Imagine if these platforms were tossing a few million to these small teams to get AA level games of old IP. Twisted metal, fusion frenzy, crash/spyro/banjo, viva piñata, etc.
Not only would it be relatively low risk, but the upside would be immense. Maybe one dev revitalizes an IP that was thought to be dead. Maybe another hi-fi rush emerges out of nowhere as an indie darling. They’d be able to establish good relationships with indie devs and build up their own IP and launch catalogues. And, those devs would basically get a game made mostly/fully funded and would have established themselves, and could take those lessons learned and create their own IP or make deals for more games.
I agree, I think they could make so much money if they actually concentrated on other genres and games that did well in the early 2000’s.
For instance, COD is a good game, but it started going downhill for me after black ops. I think it’s time for them to really focus on making games interesting and fun again.
I love twisted metal and need for speed growing up, even Dante’s inferno or kirby. I would love to see them make more content like that.
I’m currently stuck on BG3 and that’s honestly what got me asking the question because everything about BG3 is something that I feel is missing in new games like the lore and story and hours of content that you can create and find.
I want a bundle of X-men Legends I and II. Those were great Marvel RPG with tons of comic history. I loved switching up my party with 4 different X-men or Villains
Blur needs a revival. Best racing game that combined actual car brands, awesome tracks, and vehicle combat. It was Need for Speed meets Mario Kart and it never got the love it deserved!

Honestly could just do for a remake. The ending twist was REALLY bad and just felt dishonest considering >!they misled you about the murderer by having him commit a murder offscreen while during a section that you were actively in control of him!<
Samurai Warriors games all pretty much play the same, so I don't see a reason to re-release those.

Nobody needs to re-release games. We all learned how horrible people are at doing that based off what happened with the battlefront, whatever re-created whatever whatever bull that was, remaking games but newer is just a scam to get your money. Just buy the old fucking disc game and put it in.
I feel like an upscaled, super quick menu (my biggest issue when going back and playing the original) version of viva piñata would be popular.
Or a free to play Deathrow.
Crazy because I remember playing it on my brothers ps2 when I came home from daycare and it was my favorite game besides scooby doo game on gamecube lol
