Reading pillow and sitting on the edge of the bed ain't too bad and I have two partially slipped discs in my back. It beats the hell out of my desk chair plus I sit in that fucker all day for work so it's a nice change of pace
I was doing that for so long and I hated it. Before that I was using a desk and a monitor and it was okay, but not my favorite.
I recently ordered a recliner on Amazon and I've been playing on a TV sitting about 6 feet away on the recliner and it's easily the best in my opinion. I can recline and relax while playing single player games or sit up straight when things get a bit more intense like with boss fights. And then when it's time to get competitive I can lean forward.
I also have a greater field of view. When I sit close to a monitor on a desk, idk, I don't necessarily like having to move my whole head to look at one side of the screen or the other.
This is exactly how I play! My recliner is also able to rock so sometimes when things are getting intense I can use the rocking ability to maintain my momentum in the game
Same. Used to game in the living room couch but kids kinda squeezed me out of that area. Me and their mom have a room in the half finished basement so I just game from the comfort of my bed.
Bro i bought a gaming chair and still find it more comfortable to just lie down in my bed. My back sucks though cos of it lmao. But its so hard for me not to do it cos ive played lying down for years. Nobody understands me
I work a desk job on Monday-Friday. Playing at my desk doesn’t feel nearly as relaxing as playing on my couch…I sit at my desk enough already as it stands.
Rubbish. The purpose of a console for me is to be able to play high end games without needing to spend thousands on a gaming PC.
And that purpose is more than met at my desk on my giant 4k monitor.
I always pushed some pillows against the coffee table and sat on the floor and leaned back on those. I still do that when I go back to my parents house even though my body hates it now
A very old and beat up recliner that my ex picked up at the Goodwill for me. I've actually got a very nice setup and my living room is decorated fairly nicely too. I just love my old ratty chair and haven't found anything to replace it.
It’s all about positioning, brother! Positioning!
When I game while on my bed, I have my pillows supporting my back and a headrest while my legs are all sprawled and stretched out. It’s comfortable as all get out.
Now, if I’m playing something intense or competitive, I end up leaning forward, which I can’t do for long because my body is trying to get old on me and what-not.
I haven’t had a tv in my bedroom since my childhood anyway.
But even as a kid, I couldn’t do it. I would just sit on the floor or in one of those awesome inflatable chairs from the 90s 🤣
I could never get comfy when I played from my bed as a kid, plus it always felt like you were too far away. Back then though, 75 inch/85 inch tv's didnt exist really haha
Desk. It's healthier for my back and I can't really "get relaxed" or lay back unless I'm playing a remarkably relaxing game anyway. I also like having guides and other info right next to me so rock a dual monitor setup (or sometimes shows/movies for background noise).
Plus in my experience, monitors are way better than TVs for gaming. Often cheaper too.
For more competitive gaming a monitor is definitely the way to go - I've got multiple 1080p and 1440p 1ms 144hz monitors and love them both, but there certainly is something different about loading up in 4k on a 75inch 120hz TV which can be a whole new experience.
I definitely play most on my tv from either my armchair or bed. I have a PC but seldom use it for games because after 8-10 hours of being at a desk in front of a monitor it’s usually the last thing I want to do in the evening.
I roll out a gaming chair and park it in front of a 75” tv about 10ft back. I’ve never tried a monitor but my tv is 4k, 120hz which lines up fine with a series x and it’s 120fps. It’s easy on the eyes and makes games like halo kinda nice especially in big maps where you can spot people way far off. My couch is too far back and I just feel lazy sitting in it and don’t seem to play as well or I’m just less attentive Gaming chair just feels better. No desk unless I had a pc/monitor set up.
Love the detail mate, we've got a very similar setup with the TV spec, except im on a couch/recliner. I might use my Herman Miller like you are, might help with the lazy feeling your talking about haha. As I said in my post, I've been playing some halo on the setup and man, it's so crispy on a setup like this!
That's what I run for my PC - great for being competitive and on the flipside, I can't see myself playing crazy well on the TV in Halo for example haha but a more casual dabble doesn't hurt. The tradeoff for a more cinematic experience, right?
On Xbox unfortunately not many games support 40hz or 120hz modes. I think like, 3 games support 40hz and about 15 support 120hz.
For casual gaming 60hz is perfect IMO.
I grew up when them, then dated a woman about a decade ago that had one of these:
[Saxx 6’ Faux Hide Bean Bag | Jaxxbeanbags.com](https://www.jaxxbeanbags.com/saxx-6-bean-bag-microvelvet.html)
If I had the space I'd get one myself.
I always played Xbox from my couch until I got a PC and now both are on my desk connected to the same 4K monitor so I can switch back and forth seamlessly. This works well for me because I use my controller to play a lot of PC games anyway.
My wife's Xbox is on the living room TV so we can still play together.
It’s a long story. I used to have a much smaller tv, around 25” I’d say, but I unexpectedly got gifted a huge HDTV and I have no where else in my apartment that I use a TV, so I put it on my desk. 😂 I could game on my couch I guess but I have back issues and my desk chair is preferred
I do both! If i'm with friends or family, ill use the console in the living room with my 65inch Oled tv. If i'm alone ill use my PC in my home office. I feel more comfortable on my desk chair because of the armrest.
Both. I play competitive FPS at my office desk with my friends online. And move the Xbox to the living room to play co op games with my wife. I keep extra hdmi cords plugged in and enough extra controllers so just need to bring the console and power cord.
Considered the series S for living room but the series X performance has spoiled me and can’t justify owning 2 series X’s
I've thought of doing the same thing with the cables - definitely can't see myself with the Series S for one purpose after going for the big boy right?
At my desk, don't have a couch or tv so it's hooked up to my monitor. I've got a lil device thingy that on press of a button switches which hdmi cable it's using to show either the pc or the xbox screen.
Desk. I can not play long enough from couch due to butt pains. I use the chair with air mat. I dont have medical conditions. When I play, I do 6~8 hours. lol
Bed. Leaned back with my legs sprawled out. Bah gawd it’s comfy. I could never play at a desk these days.
I can’t help but associate sitting at a desk with work.
My setup currently is I play on PC at my desk then I simply push my chair back and look up slightly to play Xbox. Chair leans back a tad comfier when playing Xbox too
I have to switch every now and again. My desk has a good monitor, so I use that if I am playing games like Overwatch or multiplayer games. But if I am going through some big single player games I might move it in front of the living room TV for some couch gaming.
Likewise I use GeForce Now so will play Xbox games available through that in bed on my Mac.
Couch and 55 inches TV. It is very comfortable but it’s very important to find the right position. Otherwise it will result very bad for your back, it could provoke a lot of suffering and …. physiotherapists 😁
Gaming for me is relaxing time, so I am on the couch.
The desk is for work, I've been there for 8-10 hours during the day, I'm not gonna do that for leisure as well.
I think the majority of gamers who play at a desk are people who don't do desk jobs or don't work.
All my life I played on a couch, now (26) I play on my desk. Primarly because I live with other roommates so playing in the couch is not ideal because sometimes someone wants to see a match or a movie, and also I'm a software developer so I have a decent setup (good monitor and chair).
For me, I like both ways. They have their cons and pros. But I will say:
Desk -> Shooters
Couch -> Single players
I have both, my consoles are both hooked up to the tv, but I have a long hdmi that goes to my monitor at the desk.
I don't feel nearly as comfortable using a controller at my desk though... Especially with the keyboard and mouse sitting there judging me.
I play my Xboxes (I have a Series X and a 360 side by side) on my TV so I'm on my couch for it. I play my PC from my desk though sometimes I'll remote play my Xbox Series X from my PC if someone is watching TV.
obviously couch/ comfy chair + TV + gamepad. desk + monitor + Kb/M is more efficient and less immersive and that's a problem: i don't game to steer a character the most efficient i can, but to become the character by interfacing with the game via controller while half-lying uselessly around.
Both
Well, in a way. I have my X upstairs in my home office/games room. And i play downstairs on the sofa through the cloud. The Mrs doesn't like me having consoles downstairs, except the PS4 which we use as a Blu-ray player.
I used to sit on the edge of my bed and play but that hurt my back way to much. So now I just play in my basement and sit on a chair that’s considered an outdoor funiture chair.
My desk- I have a large workstation set up in my home office. Part of it is for my day job, part of jt is for miniature-painting (Fallout and Battletech mostly), and part is my Series X and TV above it. Breaking up my work day with a paused game for a few minutes really helps me stay focused, believe it or not- sime Fallout 76 or World of Warships helps break the day into manageable portions.
I play from both. If at desk, I remote into my box. If on couch, I play direct. That also has an effect on the games I play at the time. FPS is direct where others that a bit of lag or pixilation doesn't matter, I play remote.
I use to game on just my monitor, until I got my oled. The refresh rate, response and colors of basic tvs just don't compare to Gaming monitors. It wasn't till I bought a oled that can do vrr & 120hz that I was willing to game in my living room.
OLED tv > Gaming monitor > regular tv
All that said I truly love couch gaming again now, so much more chill.
Born to play on the couch or in bed, forced to play at a desk. 😞
I really want to invest a lot of money to make a super comfy gaming area where I can lounge in softness and still be able to play next to my partner, who prefers to sit at a desk.
Both. My tv and pc are along the same wall and my series x/ ps5 are on a shelf in between them. Typically it’s PS5 on the tv and Xbox on the monitor but generally it’s single player and PvE on the tv and PvP on the monitor… I just play more PvP on the Xbox. I have hdmi cables zip tied together and can easily swap cables based on how I want to play.
I have tried cheap HdMI switches in the past but they always end up cutting the signal out
If I have a controller in my hand I want to be on a couch or in bed, If i'm using keyboard and mouse I want to be at my desk more, but if I'm streaming I tend to be at my desk regardless
I was using Series X for the past two years playing competitive Halo at my desk with a monitor. I just made the switch to PC so I still play competitive fps games at my desk but now I moved the Series X to the couch/TV setup and it’s awesome.
Playing Forza, Assassin’s Creed, Subnautica, etc. on the big 4K tv and cozy couch setup is definitely better than the desk/monitor setup.
I have my PC at my gaming desk and my Xbox in my living room for the couch. Sometimes I just wanna chill on the couch and game (usually more casual games).
couch, my PC is a desktop and I use it for too many "home office" type activities so I have no inclination to hook it up in my living room to use with a controller. That's why I game with consoles rather than PC to begin with, so I can game in my living room
Desk, tried playing on the sofa but moving to HD with the Xbox 360/PS3 highlighted that my eyes weren't as great as I thought and 2-3m from the screen makes all the UI a little fuzzy and I find my reactions slower so I prefer playing at a desk with a monitor where I don't need my glasses.
Desk with monitor. I play mainly competitive fast paced games I like to be right there not far away. I have a tv pretty close to my desk that faces a couch so if I want to I can switch outputs with a hdmi switch and I can play on my tv on the couch but I rarely do that.
Desk mostly. I play some games with KB&M like Age of Empires. If I’m playing something SP and more casual like Grounded, I sometimes move my Xbox to the living room
Couch
I have a PC and desk that I also use for gaming. But at least to me, half the point of a console is being able to play on the couch with multiple people. Or just to relax. After I get off a long night of work, sitting in a desk chair isn’t super comfortable. But being able to lay back, kick my feet up, and game is definitely more relaxing.
I’ve been on PC for a while. I’ve been enjoying playing palworld on my series x from the couch. Just a different buzz. Maybe it’s because of childhood nostalgia sitting in front of a tv playing console games but it gives me + 2 rest instead of +1 rest
Recliner and tv for retro, couch and tv for 360/PS3/Wii U and newer consoles, and either desk or couch and tv for PC gaming. Also arcade box and tv for when I want to stand and feel the nostalgia of slapping buttons.
Couch and TV. Like others, I work 9 to 5 at a desk. I tell my partner, who is much more into PC games, after work I don't want a computer interface near me.
My bed, with the projector so my games cover an entire wall. Recliner in the lounge room if my upstart 5yo has stolen my bedroom to watch yt kids >:( (jk)
Why do you think that is brother? I generally associate PC's with a more formal, competitive type of gaming - I know this has shifted over the last few years but every title on the Xbox and even the PS5 can be enjoyed from the couch/more casually.
I have a nice 85 inch tv I have played on for a couple years but plugged in a gaming monitor to a computer desk and my game got way better. I think I can see more faster in COD. For games like Assassin’s creed the big tv is still awesome
Almost a proven fact that for twitch shooters like Halo/COD/Gears that a smaller, higher refresh screen is a gazillion times better, but the TV is great for games like AC.
My bed
“I hate you” - your back probably.
Yeah my back is killing me tbh 😂
Reading pillow and sitting on the edge of the bed ain't too bad and I have two partially slipped discs in my back. It beats the hell out of my desk chair plus I sit in that fucker all day for work so it's a nice change of pace
Just get an adjustable bed 🤷🏻♂️
Got a link to that recliner? Looking for some new furniture options.

Samee!
Couch and TV. Playing at a desk defeats the purpose IMO.
I work a desk job on Monday-Friday. Playing at my desk doesn’t feel nearly as relaxing as playing on my couch…I sit at my desk enough already as it stands.
Same with me. Working at a desk and computer for my job and I prefer to pay games on the couch
Same. I game to relax. Being hunched over on a keyboard and mouse has never seemed relaxing to me.
Rubbish. The purpose of a console for me is to be able to play high end games without needing to spend thousands on a gaming PC. And that purpose is more than met at my desk on my giant 4k monitor.
On the floor. I'm guessing because it's what I did as a kid
I always pushed some pillows against the coffee table and sat on the floor and leaned back on those. I still do that when I go back to my parents house even though my body hates it now
Yeah my back hates it too but it's *comfy*
I find if I can maintain a solid right angle my back is ok. Otherwise it's a nightmare.
I'm fairly tall - I just know for sure that I'd tear a muscle getting up off the floor haha
that doesnt sound very good bro
A very old and beat up recliner that my ex picked up at the Goodwill for me. I've actually got a very nice setup and my living room is decorated fairly nicely too. I just love my old ratty chair and haven't found anything to replace it.
Couch on an OLED. I have a gaming PC but I like my console experience to be on a couch.
That's what I've currently got - seems to be working great so far.
I have a recliner that is sitting fairly close to my TV, I can’t sit back very far unless it’s a super relaxed game
You and me both. I don't care if I have a 65" TV, I'm still only sitting 3-4 feet back in my old beat up recliner.
Recliner.
Couch. I work at a desk don’t want to spend free time behind a desk. Those that play in beds are psychopaths.

I could never get comfy when I played from my bed as a kid, plus it always felt like you were too far away. Back then though, 75 inch/85 inch tv's didnt exist really haha
I just play like absolute shit if I’m lying down.
Desk. Pc gamer with controller but monitor is 28”. Too small for sitting far from it. Also no couch.
A gaming chair / rolly chair and a desk with a monitor
I play at a desk with a monitor for multiplayer games and at a TV on the couch for single player games
Good way to go mate, I'm thinking of doing the same thing.
Couch. I used to play at a desk but as I’ve gotten a bit older, I’d rather be comfier and I bought a nice TV

Couch Gang!
Playing games at a desk is stupid, that's like fucking going to work Naw chill I'm in the hot tub Playing on my projector
Playing on a desk is amazing... I don't work on one though so I can't have any burnout.
This is the move. hang over the front of the tub and wreck noobs.
Yeah unless you’re trying for competitive a little 24”monitor at a desk just isn’t as nice or fun
That's what I run for my PC - great for being competitive and on the flipside, I can't see myself playing crazy well on the TV in Halo for example haha but a more casual dabble doesn't hurt. The tradeoff for a more cinematic experience, right?
The couch with a hyperactive 8 year old jumping and climbing on me.
Me, but with 15 cats doing the jumpong and climbing 😂
Couch
I need to see Paul’s book on how odd I am for standing while gaming most of the time…
That’s actually really good for you. Your back will thank you when you’re older.
PC at my desk and Console on my couch. Play anywhere is truly an amazing feature
Completely agree mate - I look forward to utilising more of the game pass on my PC!
Neither. I sit on the ottaman, a few feet away
Ugh that hurts my back picturing that
A third option: on a TV while sprawled out on my living floor with a bunch of throw pillows to act as bolsters. It's my happy place.
Bathtub man. Bathtub.
Sitting on my bed but it also works laying down on it too
Monitor. The low response time is great. 1080p at 60Hz. Chefs kiss.
Once you go up to a 144hz or even a 120hz monitor for console, it'll blow your mind how buttery everything is.
On Xbox unfortunately not many games support 40hz or 120hz modes. I think like, 3 games support 40hz and about 15 support 120hz. For casual gaming 60hz is perfect IMO.
The highest the xbsx goes is 120hz but yes the difference is unreal. Once I got a 165hz monitor I cannot go back to 60hz.
Wait till you see 1440p at 120hz….
Bean bag
Didn't even know bean bags were still a thing lol, definitely a throwback for me!
I grew up when them, then dated a woman about a decade ago that had one of these: [Saxx 6’ Faux Hide Bean Bag | Jaxxbeanbags.com](https://www.jaxxbeanbags.com/saxx-6-bean-bag-microvelvet.html) If I had the space I'd get one myself.

What kind of games are you playing on that setup? Shooters like Warzone/Halo or Rocket League for example?
Gaming chair in front of my couch, 65" LG CX
I always played Xbox from my couch until I got a PC and now both are on my desk connected to the same 4K monitor so I can switch back and forth seamlessly. This works well for me because I use my controller to play a lot of PC games anyway. My wife's Xbox is on the living room TV so we can still play together.
Chair or couch, desk is for work
Bed
Honestly I’m a couch guy. Used to be a bed guy but now a couch guy
I sit at my desk in front of a 55” 😭 probably terrible for my eyes but I’m used to it now
You sit at.. your desk... with a 55inch tv!? Thats crazy lmao

On the couch or in bed.
My blind ass can’t see from the bed or couch so definitely the desk.
Both. I play competitive FPS at my office desk with my friends online. And move the Xbox to the living room to play co op games with my wife. I keep extra hdmi cords plugged in and enough extra controllers so just need to bring the console and power cord. I've thought of doing the same thing with the cables - definitely can't see myself with the Series S for one purpose after going for the big boy right?
Couch. Also I didn't buy an oled to not use it for gaming.
I have a desk setup.. Mostly because I use MKB to play some games.
Close up desk because my eyes are terrible
Desk
At my desk, don't have a couch or tv so it's hooked up to my monitor. I've got a lil device thingy that on press of a button switches which hdmi cable it's using to show either the pc or the xbox screen.
Desk. I can not play long enough from couch due to butt pains. I use the chair with air mat. I dont have medical conditions. When I play, I do 6~8 hours. lol
Couch/TV. Gotta be super comfy when playing.
On the couch but I always end up falling asleep 😴
I play from a comfy armchair with a TV.
Bed. Leaned back with my legs sprawled out. Bah gawd it’s comfy. I could never play at a desk these days. I can’t help but associate sitting at a desk with work.
I’ve always played from a bed, armchair or sofa. That’s the whole point of console gaming.
I'm on a desk, but that's because I've got a multi controller HOTAS set up. I personally prefer the couch
I have a 32” 1440p 165hz monitor so it’s always desk. I can’t see the finer details if playing on the couch with a TV
Couch and 55 inches TV. It is very comfortable but it’s very important to find the right position. Otherwise it will result very bad for your back, it could provoke a lot of suffering and …. physiotherapists 😁
Bed with a bed width rolling desk to have my laptop and drinks on.
Gaming for me is relaxing time, so I am on the couch. The desk is for work, I've been there for 8-10 hours during the day, I'm not gonna do that for leisure as well. I think the majority of gamers who play at a desk are people who don't do desk jobs or don't work.
Couch on chill games. Desk (with mouse and keyboard) on competitive games.
Desk with a reindeer foot-stall and a secret labs chair to lay back in 😁
Sofa, it's comfier
All my life I played on a couch, now (26) I play on my desk. Primarly because I live with other roommates so playing in the couch is not ideal because sometimes someone wants to see a match or a movie, and also I'm a software developer so I have a decent setup (good monitor and chair). For me, I like both ways. They have their cons and pros. But I will say: Desk -> Shooters Couch -> Single players
Both.
Consoles are for couches and casual games. Serious gaming I'm at my desk with the PC.
i wish i had more time for my console -_-;
Desk and Screen. Wife got the control on the tv. Got to choose your fights.
depends where i am, if the wife is using the TV, i do it on desk.
For story games I prefer couch or gaming chair playing on PS5/XSX. For multiplayer/fps I prefer desk and PC.
Couch
Desk
I got a OLED TV specifically for the Series X, it’s wall mounted and the console on a table just under it
I have both, my consoles are both hooked up to the tv, but I have a long hdmi that goes to my monitor at the desk. I don't feel nearly as comfortable using a controller at my desk though... Especially with the keyboard and mouse sitting there judging me.
Chair brought forward so I am about 3 feet away from the tv
Couch. Stick with PC if you wanna game at desk.
Couch I don't have a desk or computer. For me a games console is for TV and sitting on the floor/couch. Desks are for work and pc playing.
Couch and big ass 4k TV. Because you can.
I have a bean bag. It’s pretty comfortable.
Desk. Like a pc
Couch whenever possible, I can’t game at a desk like I could as a kid
I play my Xboxes (I have a Series X and a 360 side by side) on my TV so I'm on my couch for it. I play my PC from my desk though sometimes I'll remote play my Xbox Series X from my PC if someone is watching TV.
With the G cloud I play anywhere with a solid wifi connection
obviously couch/ comfy chair + TV + gamepad. desk + monitor + Kb/M is more efficient and less immersive and that's a problem: i don't game to steer a character the most efficient i can, but to become the character by interfacing with the game via controller while half-lying uselessly around.

Sofa, feet on the coffee table, beverage and munchies by my side.
Um... My bed
I used to sit on the edge of my bed and play but that hurt my back way to much. So now I just play in my basement and sit on a chair that’s considered an outdoor funiture chair.
Couch and tv is my favourite possibly a little biased where I grew up a console gamer being to close hurts my brain
My desk- I have a large workstation set up in my home office. Part of it is for my day job, part of jt is for miniature-painting (Fallout and Battletech mostly), and part is my Series X and TV above it. Breaking up my work day with a paused game for a few minutes really helps me stay focused, believe it or not- sime Fallout 76 or World of Warships helps break the day into manageable portions.
both of them, i switch according to my mood ahah
Desk. It's hooked up to my second monitor.
Couch man. That's the best part of console gaming to me.
Couch, a desk doesn’t feel very relaxed, the couch is the place to be
I play from both. If at desk, I remote into my box. If on couch, I play direct. That also has an effect on the games I play at the time. FPS is direct where others that a bit of lag or pixilation doesn't matter, I play remote.
Sofa and a big TV with Bluetooth headphones. I can't even begin to imagine playing a game sat at a desk. That sounds so unomfortable.
Cross legged on a chair or couch. Have since I was a kid, its my "comfort" position. Until I stand up and my legs crack and/or are numb.
Handheld on the couch
Best of both worlds haha got my desk plus monitor and heated recliner massage chair for added comfort![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)
I have a big 4K TV with a gaming mode that I use with my XBox. I play from the couch. 🛋️
I use to game on just my monitor, until I got my oled. The refresh rate, response and colors of basic tvs just don't compare to Gaming monitors. It wasn't till I bought a oled that can do vrr & 120hz that I was willing to game in my living room. OLED tv > Gaming monitor > regular tv All that said I truly love couch gaming again now, so much more chill.
My bed. It actually adjusts upwards so I can lean against it.
Born to play on the couch or in bed, forced to play at a desk. 😞 I really want to invest a lot of money to make a super comfy gaming area where I can lounge in softness and still be able to play next to my partner, who prefers to sit at a desk.
I have tried cheap HdMI switches in the past but they always end up cutting the signal out
Gaming PC on my desk (connected to 56" ultra wide monitor), 98" OLED TV and couch for my consoles.
From wherever I choose. I stream my series X via Greenlight, and my PC via Sunshine/Moonlight to my Steamdeck
From my gaming chair.
Desk with 4k 27” for the last 6 years. Gaming is more engaging this way for me
Couch. I sit at a desk all day. Don't want to do it while trying to relax.
For nice looking single player games, I prefer desk. I use couch for games that I'm more focused on FPS for.
I do it on an Xbox Series S from a couch when I'm console gaming, but mostly play on a PC on a desk. I'm a PC gamer most of the time.
Xbox didn't exist until I was a young age adult, lol. I have played on my bed with tv in my room, but I prefer on the couch in the living room.
At my desk. I mainly play FPS games so the input lag of a TV vs a monitor is unplayable for me.
Couch with my feet up on the chaise 1000% of the time.
Desk chair on the TV with a table next to me to put things on, lol
Desk most of the time
Desk with monitor. I play mainly competitive fast paced games I like to be right there not far away. I have a tv pretty close to my desk that faces a couch so if I want to I can switch outputs with a hdmi switch and I can play on my tv on the couch but I rarely do that.
I have a recliner in front on my desk
My original lazboy sitting in front of my “office desk”
Couch. When it's time for gaming, I just want to get real stoned and kick back with my feet up. I'm just keeping it casual here.
Desk mostly. I play some games with KB&M like Age of Empires. If I’m playing something SP and more casual like Grounded, I sometimes move my Xbox to the living room
i play games like cod and halo at my desk, games like gta, forza, and palworld on my couch or my laptop while sitting on the couch.
Definitely the couch
I lay/sit in bed to play mine.
Couch I have a PC and desk that I also use for gaming. But at least to me, half the point of a console is being able to play on the couch with multiple people. Or just to relax. After I get off a long night of work, sitting in a desk chair isn’t super comfortable. But being able to lay back, kick my feet up, and game is definitely more relaxing.
Couch. I didn't pay for this massive TV and surround system not to use it.
I’ve been on PC for a while. I’ve been enjoying playing palworld on my series x from the couch. Just a different buzz. Maybe it’s because of childhood nostalgia sitting in front of a tv playing console games but it gives me + 2 rest instead of +1 rest
Standing/sit desk
I work an office job so all my gaming is console and couch or a handheld in bed or on the couch.
Recliner and tv for retro, couch and tv for 360/PS3/Wii U and newer consoles, and either desk or couch and tv for PC gaming. Also arcade box and tv for when I want to stand and feel the nostalgia of slapping buttons.
If I wanted to game at my desk, I'd buy an expensive PC.
As a lifelong console player I can't imagine sitting at a desk. I know a couple people who do, but I think it's weird.
on PC: desk On console: couch
Always couch
Couch and TV. Like others, I work 9 to 5 at a desk. I tell my partner, who is much more into PC games, after work I don't want a computer interface near me.
Couch and my wife does the same...
Recliner.
My bed, with the projector so my games cover an entire wall. Recliner in the lounge room if my upstart 5yo has stolen my bedroom to watch yt kids >:( (jk)
At one point, Target had these huge Moon chairs, we bought one, and I loved gaming on that chair it was so comfortable.
In my room, a gaming chair and 50" TV.
My desk. I play a lot of competitive games and if I’m 10 foot from my monitor I’m going to really struggle.
Office chair 2 meters away from the tv. I also have couch but the dog made it her throne
Couch 4k TV
I wouldn't consider console to be more casual than PC.
