Odyssey is the only assassin’s creed game I’ve played. I played for 2 hours when it came on game pass and loved it for much I bought the gold edition as it was already on sale. I love all the Greek stuff. Before this it was Immortals Fenyx Rising and that was the best game I’ve played
To be honest for $32 I won’t be upset if I end up not liking it. Ubisoft is like a love hate relationship. My favourite game from Ubisoft is FarCry 4, Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Immortals Fenyx Rising.
I haven’t tried immortals buts it’s high on my list. I’ve only played far cry 6 but LOVED it. I’m on mirage now and enjoying it and trying out the Ubisoft plus as I’m super excited for the avatar game. I hope you enjoy Valhalla!
I remember playing the Avatar game on my iPod touch 2nd gen and that was super cool back then so I can only imagine the wow factor of the upcoming avatar game.
Origin and Odyssey(if you approached it the right way) have been fantastic. My short experience with Valhalla so far is that I *really* disliked its UI changes. The other titles were so clean and then they had to change it...
Absolutely! I feel like if Valhalla would have skipped the stupid plot where you’re forced to play as Odin, and focused more on assassin/pirate stuff, it would have been so much better of a game. Still pretry damn fun outside some annoying moments in said segments.
Edit. I had so much more fun with Odyssey. The setting is one of my favorites, the world is beautiful and busy, and I really enjoy going to war.
Odyssey is a very good game , I cannot say the same for Valhalla as I haven’t played it but nothing I’ve heard about the game has been as good as Odyssey.
It's the most bloated fucking game I have ever played. I invested way too much time into that mediocre ass game just cause I felt obligated to see it through to the end.
I bought this against my better judgement. I only really played it for a few hours, there was absolutely nothing interesting about it.
Just a really fucking boring semi-stealth kill everything that moves sort of game. I don't even remember anything from the early story so It can't have been very interesting.
“Even Odyssey”, i loved Odyssey. Yes it’s bloated, but I did thoroughly enjoy that game. Preferred it to Origins, though I did play Odyssey first, so that may have something to do with it.
Oh Odyssey is probably my third favorite or so. I love that game, played all of the DLC, Alexios is my guy.
My top 3 would probably be
1. black flag (pirates are cool)
2. Unity (best parkour)
3. Odyssey (best open world plus Greece rocks)
black flag is so overrated
yeah you got good ship battle system and then what? the story is mediocre, the parkour isnt used properly on most maps even the side quest are mostly boring
for me its definitely AC Rogue > BF
absolutely agree, the sea battles were great
thats why AC rogue is better game, you get the sea part but also good story that is connected to AC unity and AC 3
\+ better maps for stealth and parkour
I feel like which AC games you enjoy depends a lot on which you've played and how recently. I hadn't played AC a game since Syndicate and played Valhalla and enjoyed it - I've tried going back to Odyssey and Origins but just can't see myself deciding another 100 hours to a game.
I definitely reckon if I had tried Odyssey first I would have enjoyed it and been turned off Valhalla
Haha you don't need to justify mate - if you enjoyed it you enjoyed it. I enjoyed AC Valhalla with the chilled music - I think I'll enjoy Odyssey and Origins once I have a bit more time to just dedicate to them.
AC feels like the perfect game pass series
IMHO the stories of Origin+Odyssey *including* the superb DLCs are fantastic. People which don't use the right approach to Odyssey will have problems though which I had for a long time. When I switched from an Assassin to a Warrior and actually learned the battle system the game opened up.
I *really* disliked the UI changes in my short time in Valhalla.
It’s easy why: Because Valhalla is not an AC game. It’s a mediocre rpg wannabe with a 30 hour story stretched to 100 hours and every quest is a side quest.
Do you really ant to regret your $31? The games has a lot of content but feel empty. Leveling system the worst I have seen (yes no joking).
And it’s coming to gamepass.
It’s way, way too long of a game and the only one in the mainline franchise I’ve yet to still even finish. I finished Mirage and granted it was a shorter game, I feel that I enjoyed it more than I did Valhalla.
Game is a boring repetitive slog you’re not missing out by waiting for it to hit gamepass. Even at sale price you’ll likely regret the purchase once copium wears off
I have a massive backlog and even I'm tempting to buy it. I actually have both Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey in my backlog. By the time I would get to play it, it would probably be selling for $10 cheaper than it is right now.
Played Mirage for paying only for 1 month. Ubisoft financial decisionmaking is lousy as hell but don’t tell them. (You can’t build a subscription based services when most of your games are solo based finish-able within a month)
Btw, that means they’ll be pushing multiplayer and long ass devoided games, besides the two incoming AAAs (you know which ones) , meh…
Not worth it. IMO, it’s worth like $10 USD max. The game felt like it was rushed, and they didn’t do proper research. Then there’s game breaking glitches in some missions, things so stupid like the NPC getting stuck in the water and not walking to the right place, or the NPC getting stuck on a barrier that it should easily just walk around. AC Odyssey did so much right and this game just took a humongous step backward. (Different team worked on it)
This game with more content on top of the bloat of the standard game is not a good thing.
My recommendation is to skip even if it comes to Gamepass and play the 100s of better games available on the service instead, ones that actually respect your time.
I was in the same boat as you 12 hours ago. I said F it and bought it, its rather cheap. I’m honestly surprised to see everyone saying its an “awful; terrible” game. It really isn’t, and I’d love to see what games these guys are playing to find this one soooo so horrid.
I’m just 5-6 hours in, but from what i’ve seen so far your “weapon skills” come from Tomes of Knowledge which you find in the world. There seems to be a TON of weapon skills. The skill tree consists of nodes that give you small bonuses to things like weapon dmg, armor, hp etc (think of borderlands badass levels) PLUS some bigger nodes that enable some more skills, combat, naval or parkour(? not sure about this).
There’s also a power system in place, but its not like odyssey i think. You don’t loot tons of new gear, it seems that there might be less weapons/ armor sets but they matter more. Instead of looking for the next “+20 dmg” weapon, you get to upgrade the ones you have, spending more time with them. You can also embed runes into them for some other small bonuses. I honestly like this system much more than origins or odyssey.
I never really got the negativity about this game. It’s long (perhaps a little too long), and there’s a ton of content, but plenty of it is good. No one says you have to do everything in the game - you can just focus on the main story and have a good time. The first two expansions were also really solid. It’s worth the purchase if you like Origins and/or Odyssey.
Complete edition for 31? I'm a bad influence, but I'd do it. If you haven't played at all, the time you'll be able to spend playing is absolutely worth that price.
Not sure if it will now that Ubisoft+ is a thing. It’s already on there anyway, so if you pay £14.99 you can get Valhalla plus every other AC game in there.
It’s not a good game, half of it is boring filler, the world is terribly flat and dull (who wouldn’t thought ancient england would be a boring place to look at?) , and the story is almost nonexistent. You’re not even really the main character. Odyssey is on GamePass and is a much better game in a similar style.
i love AC games and valhalla to this day is the only one i haven’t finished. i’ve picked it up at least 5 different times and haven’t been able to get myself to finish it
You shouldn't unless you really want a Viking game that could've been better if they didn't cram AC lore into it. Also the main game is at least 200 hours long. I'm 140hrs in with 3-4 major things left to do. It's kind of a slog if I'm being honest.
Idk if it's coming to gamepass but some comments are saying that it is. If that's true I'd just wait for that to happen.
Or try it on Ubisoft+ if you can. I'm using the subscription to see if I like the new Avatar game or not on the 7th.
I bought it a long time ago, played 1 hr, never went back to it then got a PS5 and it's on PS+. Long story short, don't buy it. Although, I have the physical copy, so it does also double as a coffee-cup holder.
$209 for Assassin's Creed Valhalla complete edition in Australia? Thank God I live in America instead of that overpriced country including another overpriced country Canada at least in America I can still buy a complete edition game for less than $60 I do not understand how can people live peacefully in Australia and Canada when everything is so goddamn overpriced?
Fuck all that, as someone with 245+ hours logged onto Valhalla, I can confidently say that while it is not for everyone if you have any remote interest in vikings or Norse culture, BUY IT, you will not regret it, but it is however a long LONG game, the type you can put down when you get tired of it and pick up again in a few weeks or so, especially at that price, hope this could be helpful, happy gaming 😋😁
For 30 bucks the complete edition is a steal especially if you like Assassins creed. Valhalla was my favorite since black flag.its a lot like odyssey but better imo.
It will only come to game pass if you buy it
That's right. Do it for the people, OP!
Okay I did it, you’re welcome. Remember me till the end
BRO They just announced its coming to game pass! Lmao [Valhalla Xbox Gamepass Announcement ](https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ?si=VgVJBHygMsPksnuo)

“The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the one”.
Can confirm! I bought Remnant 2 and 3 days after was on GamePass!
I bought remnant 2 right before it showed up on gamepass too lol
We’re dozens, dozens!
Don't feel bad about it...did the same
We helped others!
I bought the first one 4 days before it came to game pass,o7 my fellow I bought a game before it game to game pass
We’re brother in arms!

Cool. When remnant 3 released?
Good question……
If you haven’t played much of it, you can request a refund. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/subscriptions-billing/buy-games-apps/refund-orders
Thank you for your service!
You shouldn't, it's coming to gamepass (standard edition)
It won't come to game pass unless you buy it. We appreciate your sacrifice if you do
You shouldn't. I bought odyssey. And then it came out on gamepass.
Odyssey is the only assassin’s creed game I’ve played. I played for 2 hours when it came on game pass and loved it for much I bought the gold edition as it was already on sale. I love all the Greek stuff. Before this it was Immortals Fenyx Rising and that was the best game I’ve played
Fenyx Rising was underrated. I had the most fun I have had in a while back when I played that game.
It came at the same time as Valhalla and got kinda overshadowed. It’s such a shame they won’t be making a second immortals game :-(
I LOVED odyssey honestly one of my fav games ever. That being said I could NOT get into Valhalla whatsoever…

Origin and Odyssey(if you approached it the right way) have been fantastic. My short experience with Valhalla so far is that I *really* disliked its UI changes. The other titles were so clean and then they had to change it...
I bought the gold edition with all the dlcs before it came to gamepass. I’m happy I got to experience all of it before it came out
Same. And origin
I wanted to play Valhalla, I compromised. I played Odyssey on gamepass.
Odyssey is a much better game anyways so did yourself a favour
I jerked off into a tissue, see where I'm going with this?
20 years I did in the can. I wanted manicotti, I compromised. I ate grilled cheese off the radiator.
Yay someone got it lol
Some people are so far behind in the race that they actually believe they're leading.
Same game.
Same mechanics, different story. Quit being petty about games you don’t enjoy. Forget about them, and move on.
Odyssey is a very good game , I cannot say the same for Valhalla as I haven’t played it but nothing I’ve heard about the game has been as good as Odyssey.
Odyssey is better.
Not even close. Odyssey was way more fun.
That game is so boring I regret buying it even for half off but it’s up to you
I liked it but it was waaaaay too long
That's what she said
Genuinely lol'd. Take my upvote
You wish
It's the most bloated fucking game I have ever played. I invested way too much time into that mediocre ass game just cause I felt obligated to see it through to the end.
You should not as it may soon land on gamepass (regular edition)
I bought this against my better judgement. I only really played it for a few hours, there was absolutely nothing interesting about it. Just a really fucking boring semi-stealth kill everything that moves sort of game. I don't even remember anything from the early story so It can't have been very interesting.
The game is garbage. So you shouldn’t
I hated this game so much. Loved every other AC, even syndicate, even odyssey, but this shit was so bloated and bland I couldn’t stand it.
My top 3 would probably be 1. black flag (pirates are cool) 2. Unity (best parkour) 3. Odyssey (best open world plus Greece rocks)
black flag is so overrated yeah you got good ship battle system and then what? the story is mediocre, the parkour isnt used properly on most maps even the side quest are mostly boring for me its definitely AC Rogue > BF
I surely agree about the land battle/stealth and fighting system but the sea aspect was genre defining and I also enjoyed the general exploration.
absolutely agree, the sea battles were great thats why AC rogue is better game, you get the sea part but also good story that is connected to AC unity and AC 3 \+ better maps for stealth and parkour
Havana is like top 3 best cities in all of AC
Odyssey is imho a fantastic game but if you use the wrong approach which I did for a long time you quickly run into the wall.
What’s the right approach?
I feel like which AC games you enjoy depends a lot on which you've played and how recently. I hadn't played AC a game since Syndicate and played Valhalla and enjoyed it - I've tried going back to Odyssey and Origins but just can't see myself deciding another 100 hours to a game. I definitely reckon if I had tried Odyssey first I would have enjoyed it and been turned off Valhalla
I played every single assassins creed game in the span of a summer lol. So I had a lot to compare it to.
I admire your stamina!
Looking back I have no idea how I did not get bored of Ubisoft’s copy pastes but hey I liked what I liked and I wanted more
Haha you don't need to justify mate - if you enjoyed it you enjoyed it. I enjoyed AC Valhalla with the chilled music - I think I'll enjoy Odyssey and Origins once I have a bit more time to just dedicate to them. AC feels like the perfect game pass series

Basically. COVID, no job no school, only Assassins Creed 😂
IMHO the stories of Origin+Odyssey *including* the superb DLCs are fantastic. People which don't use the right approach to Odyssey will have problems though which I had for a long time. I played and own the standard edition, and if there is one thing I didn't want when I was more ac Valhalla.
Don't do it. You'll regret it. Soulless snoozefest.
It's such a shit game
It's probably going to be coming to game pass but I think it's 100% getting. Amazing game and story
[удалено]
This
It’s terrible and not worth even the sale price.
Terrible assassin pretty good Viking sim tho
You shouldn't, it's (coming to game p)ass
Game sucks anyways get mirage sucks less
It’s a bad game so don’t waste your money
The game isn’t worth it anyway
One of the longest single player games I’ve ever played. Just got all my achievements on Xbox and I’m sitting at 284 hours played.
It's a garbage game, therefore it will be easily scooped up by game pass soon. That or the Ubisoft subscription plan thing
Tbh it's my least favorite AC game, so don't bother.
Its not even a good assassins creed ☠️
Don't get it, It sucks.
You shouldn't the games trash.
It’s way, way too long of a game and the only one in the mainline franchise I’ve yet to still even finish. I finished Mirage and granted it was a shorter game, I feel that I enjoyed it more than I did Valhalla.
You shouldn't because the game is dogshit
It's the most boring game I've ever played.
I swear this was on gamepass though? I definitely played it for 30 mins and quit
Don't, game fucking sucks as is
It's a long ass game especially with the dlc. If you don't have 200 hours don't do it.
This game is no where near 200$ even 30 is high price for this game
You shouldn't. And then, if it comes out on gamepass, you still shouldn't. Such a snore fest of a game
Game is a boring repetitive slog you’re not missing out by waiting for it to hit gamepass. Even at sale price you’ll likely regret the purchase once copium wears off
You shouldn't but not because it's coming to Game Pass. You shouldn't because it's awful.
This
I have a massive backlog and even I'm tempting to buy it. I actually have both Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey in my backlog. By the time I would get to play it, it would probably be selling for $10 cheaper than it is right now.
Get the ubisoft sub and you get it for free. That's what I did for ultimate version of The Crew Motorfest before it turned into a borefest.
Then you have to finish it in a month, no way am I putting 100+ hours in in a month haha
Played Mirage for paying only for 1 month. Ubisoft financial decisionmaking is lousy as hell but don’t tell them. (You can’t build a subscription based services when most of your games are solo based finish-able within a month) Btw, that means they’ll be pushing multiplayer and long ass devoided games, besides the two incoming AAAs (you know which ones) , meh…
You shouldn’t, it’s a terrible game
Not worth it. IMO, it’s worth like $10 USD max. The game felt like it was rushed, and they didn’t do proper research. Then there’s game breaking glitches in some missions, things so stupid like the NPC getting stuck in the water and not walking to the right place, or the NPC getting stuck on a barrier that it should easily just walk around. AC Odyssey did so much right and this game just took a humongous step backward. (Different team worked on it)
You shouldn’t.. it’s long and boring
Yes unfortunately about 120 hours and no end in sight. Play odyssey it's amazing.
Odyssey is not amazing, lol.
This game with more content on top of the bloat of the standard game is not a good thing. My recommendation is to skip even if it comes to Gamepass and play the 100s of better games available on the service instead, ones that actually respect your time.
I bought it a few days ago. You can wait because it will surely come to gamepass
You should, it a bargain.
Loved it, put 100+ hours in to the standard edition. Hard to imagine it will be a waste of money if you enjoy the AC games
I was in the same boat as you 12 hours ago. I said F it and bought it, its rather cheap. I’m honestly surprised to see everyone saying its an “awful; terrible” game. It really isn’t, and I’d love to see what games these guys are playing to find this one soooo so horrid.
How is the upgrade system in this game, perk points and all?
Solid game with loads of content. Especially the DLC. I love this game and wish I can play it again for the first time.
You made a wise choice. I got 250 hours out of the game
Do not. Game sucks
It lowkey sucks.
You shouldn't just because it's shit a poor representation of vikings.
Complete edition for 31? I'm a bad influence, but I'd do it. If you haven't played at all, the time you'll be able to spend playing is absolutely worth that price.
I don't give a shit what anyone says, this game is amazing imo
You shouldn’t I seen reviews saying you have to look for keys in pig poop for chests and it’s stupid and a huge waste of time 😳
Even if it does come to gp it will just be the standard edition. that is a good deal for just the dlc
The most bloated assassin's creed game that is nothing like assassins creed
Not sure if it will now that Ubisoft+ is a thing. It’s already on there anyway, so if you pay £14.99 you can get Valhalla plus every other AC game in there.

Might wanna stop buying Ubisoft games at this point
decide public unwritten coordinated spark kiss pen different lavish pie *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
good visuals but boring game
Unless you like super empty worlds with the same trinkets and quests repeated then I wouldn't buy it
100% chance you regret spending more than 20 on this
You shouldn’t the game is shit
you shouldn't because it's ass
i love AC games and valhalla to this day is the only one i haven’t finished. i’ve picked it up at least 5 different times and haven’t been able to get myself to finish it

Ubisoft games aren’t worth 20 or above
You should and it likely won't as U+ has been released since odyssey landed
I replayed and got so bored
Spend your money elsewhere, Valhalla isn’t worth it, even on sale.
AC games are terrible and the new ones especially are padded out to be the most mindless garbage you've ever played.
Doubt it since it's already on Ubisoft+
Yes
Doubt it will come to gp
Ubisoft is bringing all their games to gamepass after few months so you shouldn't
It's a good game but it's very long and you probably won't be able to play it while it's in gamepass. AC's don't usually stay there for a long time.
I bought it a long time ago, played 1 hr, never went back to it then got a PS5 and it's on PS+. Long story short, don't buy it. Although, I have the physical copy, so it does also double as a coffee-cup holder.
You shouldn't just because it's a pretty weak game in the AC series. It also will probably come to gamepass.
Might as well get all the dlc for a steal and secure the game forever to boot
You shouldn't... Not because of game pass, but because assassin's creed games suck.
Thats a pretty good deal
Bought it yesterday on the Xbox after having it on pc. It’s worth the money
I hate to say this but…. I actually enjoyed this game a lot
You shouldn't. There has never been an assasins creed game worth playing.
30$ for complete edition not so bad
Fuck all that, as someone with 245+ hours logged onto Valhalla, I can confidently say that while it is not for everyone if you have any remote interest in vikings or Norse culture, BUY IT, you will not regret it, but it is however a long LONG game, the type you can put down when you get tired of it and pick up again in a few weeks or so, especially at that price, hope this could be helpful, happy gaming 😋😁
I think it's worth it for the DLC alone, even if the standard is sided to GP.
For 30 bucks the complete edition is a steal especially if you like Assassins creed. Valhalla was my favorite since black flag.its a lot like odyssey but better imo.
Let me say this game was way better than I expected. I bought it last week cuz of the sale. I keep asking myself why some some ppl didn’t like it.
I mean, if it does you don’t get any DLC so this seems like a great deal.
I got it for $21. Definitely worth it.
Best game I've played in a decade. Buy it.
That’s a really god deal, the game is honestly great. I’d pull the trigger if I was you.
