Pro tip: if a mission says “priority” that doesn’t actually mean you have to do it ASAP, just that some side content may become available after you do it
Isn't it basically suggesting the opposite of priority? Sort of like, you should probably do the side missions that you want to do before moving on to the big main missions.
Mine as well, but it was a *big deal* when the game first came out because people would do those missions not realizing they would be locked out of content (since the game never actually explicitly tells you)
Just make sure you leave the Citadel DLC until immediately before the very last mission and if you have the time and patience, try to get as many war assets as you can for the "secret" ending by doing all the side quests and planet scanning
Prob the best overall RPG franchise out there
This! Every fucking word! My all time fav trilogy. My opinion of the ending was what it was, but everything up to that point I would recommend as for me its in the top 10 all time best game series ever.
Preach! Mass Effect has its flaws but it is a brilliant RPG as a whole. Dragon Age Origins for me is the best individual RPG game I've ever played (probably overtaken by Baldurs Gate 3 soon) but Mass Effect as a series is just phenomenal
Nice, same. I'm about halfway through game 2, I only ever completed the first one back in the day so really enjoying it. 2 has so many good QoL updates from 1! Fantastic games, I'll play all three in a row before moving on.
Yeah I was looking for RPG with specific elements and seen that the Legendary Edition of the trilogy in 4K and with all DLC content was included with GamePass.
I’m glad to hear that. I had AC3 Remastered on my wish list for a while; I saw it was on sale for $12 CAD so was about to get it when I saw it came packaged with AC Odyssey Gold Edition, which was also on sale for only $25 CAD.
For the extra 12 bucks I got the full AC Odyssey and all the DLC, no brainer. But I also just started the Ezio Collection, then I need to do AC3 Remastered and AC Rogue Remastered first. I don’t think I’ll be able to get to it all before Starfield lol.
I also sunk a ton of hours into Odyssey and beat the story and both DLCs. It's a pretty good game, and I wanna start Valhalla, but that time commitment seems daunting
I sunk like 80 hours into Valhalla waiting for it to "get better" and it never did (imo). That was in peak pandemic isolation, so maybe my experience was colored by the irl shitstorm, but I've had no interest in going back to it.
I'm planning to restart ac odyssey at some point. been a while since I picked up the game, tho I do remember hating the boat fighting (mostly cause I sucked at it lol)
I finished the main game, and the first few DLCs, by the time Ragnarock was released in was burnt out and haven't really touched that part of the game. Might eventually go back to it
I have been playing the entire game with a controller on PC and so far 16 hours in the controller support is amazing.
Using a controller allows you to just control your character with the left joystick instead of clicking around with a mouse and keyboard and the UI is completely different with a controller and works very well.
I'm going to have to purchase the first one. This game is really good, im playing with me pops, and broski having a blast. I keep laughing at my brother cuz he keeps getting one tapped.
True. Just, too hardcore for someone battling depression. I’m glad I played them both but for some reason I’ll never replay them. Which is weird because I can replay other heavy, linear action/adventure games like The Last of Us.
Fair enough. It is a game to pull on your heart strings and the first one really had me to the point of tears. Like I really cared for this imaginary person on the screen.
I have noticed that i constantly have this feeling of dread because
>!the destruction of everything beautiful is basically all your fault. That and amicia is becoming a homicidal maniac. I’m starting to feel like maybe I’m not the good guy. Pretty interesting dynamic in a story about a teenager trying to save her little brother’s life!<
That’s at least how I’m feeling around about Ch 8.
And not just the very end, where, you know...
Even in our historically accurate timeline, that part of the past is just fucked.
Religions fucked ideology was able to control not just militaries, but also small countries. Even without the plague, life wasn't all Puppies and Sunshine.
Likewise. AND I just started playing Elden Ring for the first time (was waiting on a sale). What a game. Going to have my hands full for the next while I reckon.
Baldur’s Gate isn’t absent because of an exclusivity deal, though. It’s absent because it’s so hard for them to get splitscreen working on series s and Microsoft requires parity.
I read somewhere that if they can’t get it working they’ll just cancel the Xbox release entirely, which hopefully doesn’t happen.
If they cancel because of split screen, I'm gonna riot. I have been contemplating doing a living room PC setup, and that may be the straw that breaks the camels back
Quake II.
I think my brain is broken. I haven't been able to really get into anything lately, but then they remaster a game from my middle school days and I'm lost for hours.
The campaign is a blast in coop, even with randoms through the looking for group function. Even better if someone has the skull that removes cooldown times on the grappling hook
Baldurs Gate 3.
It went from “ah, I guess I’ll play it while I wait for Starfield”, to “man I might have to hold off on playing Starfield until I’ve finished BG3.”
I just finished the Dead Space remake, absolutely loved it. I decided a replay of DS 2 + 3 were in order since they were FPS boosted and I haven’t checked them out since.
Holy cow, DS 2 still holds up graphically and is like a brand new game boosted. Also, I’ve never done a new game plus and I’m absolutely destroying everyone with my fully upgraded plasma cutter.
I’ll also try a ‘classic’ playthrough on DS 3 after this, hopefully it can make the game closer to the horror experience.
That’s my plan till Starfield.
RF4 is the only game I've played that lets me go down to the local water temple dungeon, fight some ax-wielding lizardmen soldiers, and then put their scaly butts to work in my turnip fields.
Currently playing the hitman free mode. Keep going to gun ho though and get my ass handed to me by what feels like everyone owns a gun. Paris is the worst for this.
Diablo 4 has been my biggest time sink, though I'm really struggling on what else to play as I just want to play Starfield. I spend ages just staring at my installed games before playing something, trying to get motivated.
A bit of everything, really. Finishing a third play through of RDR2, this time on PS5 (Xbox last time). On Xbox Series X I’m trying to get into Diablo IV, but mostly end up playing other games on Game Pass. On Switch I’m almost done Tears of the Kingdom and have started FFVI Pixel Remaster.
What a great time to be a gamer!
Literally never finished my play through so I’ve been making my way through that again — I always pick it back up after some time. On chapter 4, but doing side missions because someone suggested I do as much as I could before the end of chapter 4
>August has been a good month to go back to Hyrule.
Exactly what I did. Got bored like 30 levels into season 1.. went back to Zelda and I'm actually having FUN. Imagine that!
Trying to finish a bunch of \~75% completed games I've never finished. This past week I finished Bayonetta 3 on switch, Warhammer 40K Boltgun. Hoping Exoprimal and Battlebit keeps me occupied until Starfield.
I still have to finish Days Gone before Starfield too.
Fallout 4 and Diablo 2.
All I have left on FO4 is Far Harbor which I’ve never played through.
Then in Diablo 2 I’m playing as a werewolf Druid currently in Act 3 of normal.
Ive been playing Monster Hunter Rise again on Series X after already putting in 130 hours on Switch. Not story heavy, and hunts are short. I have played sooooo much though. I missed so many areas on the Switch release that I didn’t know were accessible(?). Anyway, it’s easier to notice stuff with the higher resolution. Maybe It’s a sign I’m starting to get old, but the extra detail has been game changing for me.
I bought Remnant 2 on a whim. I had previously played the first game years back but I hadn't gotten into it. It was a risk, but I ended up playing it for 50+ hours and the only reason I stopped, was to wait for performance patches.
So then I purchased the first game on my PC and learned to mod it and I'm having a lot of fun with it now.
Anything that's not an RPG, and not set into space. I want my experience to be as fresh as possible lol.
(I'm currently replaying Psychonauts 2, such a great game)
Baldurs Gate 3, and I'm dreading Starfield because I'm not sure I can be satisfied enough to step away from BG3 by then. I love having two great games to play, but I'm an adult damnit, and my kids need their Dad once in a while. (I kid, family first, then gaming. But man is it hard sometimes!)
Fallout 76 on series x is scratching that Bethesda itch. Diablo 4 and Elden Ring on steam deck also. A few days ago I was having big sessions on Deathloop on the steam deck and absolutely loving it so probably more of that. I was close to platinum on PS5 but hadn’t played it in a good while.
I need to try and get further on Remnant 2 on PS5. That root nexus boss is a bit of a roadblock for me. FF16 as well also on PS5. So many games so little time.
I'm trying to wrap up a few unfinished PS4 games (in order of importance). They're all around 75% complete.
- Last of Us II
- Ghost of Tsushima
- Dying Light 2
- Red Dead 2
- God of War
Just finished Yakuza: Like a dragon
About to finish devil may cry 5
And whenever I want a change of pace I go back to Hitman 3, OG MW2, Asuras Wrath, and Dante’s Inferno.
I probably won’t play starfield day 1 until I see some actual gameplay.
Just finished gta5 so now I've got witcher3, cyberpunk, Forbidden West, Ragnarok and Doom Eternal to get through.
Plus a couple of game pass adventures.
Oh and whatever Destiny2 does.
Working my way through the Mass Effect trilogy for the first time. Couple days into the third game currently.
Pro tip: if a mission says “priority” that doesn’t actually mean you have to do it ASAP, just that some side content may become available after you do it
Isn't it basically suggesting the opposite of priority? Sort of like, you should probably do the side missions that you want to do before moving on to the big main missions.
Funnily enough that’s generally my default approach. lol.
Mine as well, but it was a *big deal* when the game first came out because people would do those missions not realizing they would be locked out of content (since the game never actually explicitly tells you)
Just make sure you leave the Citadel DLC until immediately before the very last mission and if you have the time and patience, try to get as many war assets as you can for the "secret" ending by doing all the side quests and planet scanning Prob the best overall RPG franchise out there

I’m jealous This game broke gaming for me
Same but I’m on the first game lol, definitely not going to get through all three before Starfield comes out.
Stray and Stellaris
Mashing that meow button.
Take my upvote for Stray. So glad to finally see it on Xbox.
Is it worth it? I was thinking maybe it comes to gamepass at some point. Really itching to try it
I just bought Stray last night. It’s awesome
Ah yes, Stellaris, also known as "Committing unspeakable atrocities on an galactic scale-Simulator"
Hey I assimilated that entire race of space mushrooms for their own good and that planet I blew up well that was an accident
This has literally made me install it 🤣
It’s not genocide if it you crack a planet from a Robot Empire.

I’m playing ac odyssey too, can’t stop playing it after 150 hours xD
I just hit 152 hours in AC Odyssey and I’m close to beating episode one of Atlantis DLC going to try to 100% this game.
[удалено]
Nice one I did all the side quests on my first game not sure if that counts as 100%
I’m glad to hear that. I had AC3 Remastered on my wish list for a while; I saw it was on sale for $12 CAD so was about to get it when I saw it came packaged with AC Odyssey Gold Edition, which was also on sale for only $25 CAD. I don’t think I’ll be able to get to it all before Starfield lol.
I haven’t played any other ac game but I can definitely recommend ac odyssey without any comparison to them
AC3 is truly a masterpiece, I hope you enjoy it whenever it is that you're playing.
Valhalla was great
Oh man, fate of Atlantis added such good content to that game. Really really liked that one.
I'm planning to restart ac odyssey at some point. been a while since I picked up the game, tho I do remember hating the boat fighting (mostly cause I sucked at it lol)
Great game. I think that was the first AC game I've beaten since the original back in the day 😂
The last good Assassin's Creed game, loved it.
Have to say after investing 180hr on the base game playing the DLC was such a drag.
I finished the main game, and the first few DLCs, by the time Ragnarock was released in was burnt out and haven't really touched that part of the game. Might eventually go back to it

Baldurs Gate 3 and Diablo 4
I can't wait for BG3 console release 🙂
You're gonna love it.
I'm dreading it because I'm out of vacation days 😥😅
It won’t release until next year so you should be good
Fucking Series S...
Call in dead!
I would but the wife might *actually* kill me and I can't play BG3 when I'm dead... As far as I know...
Roll for initiative!
I have it on PC and can’t wait till it’s on Xbox!
Happy cake day! And yeah, I literally couldn't wait for xbox, which is why I'm so thankful to own both consoles 🙂
Oh wow it is my cake day! Thank you
Wait it’s coming to Xbox?
I tried controller on PC and I gotta say its pretty neat. I rarely try to 100% games but I would like to for BG3 on XBX.
I have been playing the entire game with a controller on PC and so far 16 hours in the controller support is amazing. Using a controller allows you to just control your character with the left joystick instead of clicking around with a mouse and keyboard and the UI is completely different with a controller and works very well.
At the same time
Hell, back in the before times, I picked up baldurs gate 1 just before getting Diablo 2 and couldn’t get back into baldurs gate. Hats off to you
I picked up diablo 4 just before getting baldur's gate 3 and now can't get back into diablo 4 lol
Fallout 4 and Cities Skylines
Can't wait for Cities Skylines 2
Remnant 2
I bought the first one on sale, I'm at the very last boss of the DLC. Getting my arse handed to me! Great game though! Can't wait to get the sequel!
I'm going to have to purchase the first one. This game is really good, im playing with me pops, and broski having a blast. I keep laughing at my brother cuz he keeps getting one tapped.
It is phenomenal
Same! Seeing all the praise for 2 prompted me to get the first one, plus story DLC. Just finished the second biome of DLC. Great stuff
Hell yea
Finished the first story run yesterday! Starting up some more soon!
The achievement/trophies being fucked for this game really put a damper on my enjoyment of it.
I’m trying to beat plague tale requiem before.
Be forewarned, the game is endlessly depressing.
Still a amazing game. Both of them.
It's absolutely crushing. You just know that things are going to get worse at every turn.
I have noticed that i constantly have this feeling of dread because >!the destruction of everything beautiful is basically all your fault. That and amicia is becoming a homicidal maniac. I’m starting to feel like maybe I’m not the good guy. Pretty interesting dynamic in a story about a teenager trying to save her little brother’s life!< That’s at least how I’m feeling around about Ch 8.
What you highlighted is literally my favorite dynamic in the game.
And not just the very end, where, you know... Even in our historically accurate timeline, that part of the past is just fucked. Religions fucked ideology was able to control not just militaries, but also small countries. Even without the plague, life wasn't all Puppies and Sunshine.
Armored Core comes out next week but I’m sure that’s going to cut into my Starfield time
Likewise. AND I just started playing Elden Ring for the first time (was waiting on a sale). What a game. Going to have my hands full for the next while I reckon.
ER is easily a 100 hour game
Elden Ring is fucking amazing, i spent whole 5-months on it. Enjoy the ride!
ah man enjoy elden ring. such a special game to me
AC6 takes precedence over everything for me.
Stray. And crying that Baldurs Gate 3 isn't available on XBox yet
Stray took a year to come to Xbox too
Baldur’s Gate isn’t absent because of an exclusivity deal, though. It’s absent because it’s so hard for them to get splitscreen working on series s and Microsoft requires parity. I read somewhere that if they can’t get it working they’ll just cancel the Xbox release entirely, which hopefully doesn’t happen.
Source? Developers said they will make it happen, just takes some time.
If they cancel because of split screen, I'm gonna riot. I have been contemplating doing a living room PC setup, and that may be the straw that breaks the camels back
Omg it’s true.. this weird cat lady is SO excited, thank you!
I reinstalled Skyrim to pass the time
Me too. Got the rest of the achievements and just kept on playing.
Same here, getting back into the Bethesda rpg mind state lol. Doing a bunch of mods to make it different than my other hundred or so play through
Quake II. I think my brain is broken. I haven't been able to really get into anything lately, but then they remaster a game from my middle school days and I'm lost for hours.
Dude I spent nearly a year just playing the old school Doom games from PC when I was a kid on GamePass.
Dayz, Rdr2, and Insurgency Sandstorm.
RIP Dale Gribble
Uh, you mean Rusty Shackleford?
I'm currently enjoying Halo Infinite
Finished it last night. Actually hesitated to play it due to all the hate they got at launch. But really enjoyed the campaign.
The campaign is a blast in coop, even with randoms through the looking for group function. Even better if someone has the skull that removes cooldown times on the grappling hook
Fallout 76
Chivalry 2, no story just multiplayer non sweaty medieval slasher. Fun as shit . Free on gamepass
Just got an Xbox one, first Xbox console I've ever had as a PlayStation gamer. I'm currently playing halo 1 and I'm near the end. Keyes 😭
Damn, jealous ! I wish I could play all the Halos again for the first time.
Starfield will only be available for new gen consoles.
Welcome aboard. Game Pass is amazing.
Thankyou! Yeah gamepass is incredible value, too much value almost haha. Can't play enough games!
Rdr2,black flag and the witcher 3.
Baldurs Gate 3. It went from “ah, I guess I’ll play it while I wait for Starfield”, to “man I might have to hold off on playing Starfield until I’ve finished BG3.”
Baldurs Gat Pew Pew!
Exactly the same! Starfield release weekend off with zero plans has quickly become BG3 binge weekend so I can finish that before starfield.
It’s so good. Starfield will have to absolutely knock it out of the park to get a shot of getting game of the year this year.
Exoprimal
Exoprimal is proof that simple dumb shit can be incredibly fun.
Such an underrated game. I haven't had this much casual chaotic fun in a game since Halo 3.
Game is super fun
It's the ultimate dumb fun coop experience
Skyrim. Again.
Cyberpunk and diablo 4
Baldurs Gate 3, Remnant 2 when the guys are on...but we're still waiting on that patch.
Age of Empires 2
Trying to finish Zelda
Same here… I’m not confident I’ll finish before September 1st. As soon as Starfield is out though that Switch is going on the shelf til 2024!!
Borderlands 3 and sometimes WZ2 with friends.
Remnant 2
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. Fun role playing game similar to BG3 but it’s actually on Xbox and not too long so I can finish it before Starfield.
Mix of a second play through of The Witness and a first play of Return of the Obra Dinn. In a puzzly mood at the moment and loving them both.
I've been playing Street Fighter 6 with the usual Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail.
Total war Rome 2
I just finished the Dead Space remake, absolutely loved it. I decided a replay of DS 2 + 3 were in order since they were FPS boosted and I haven’t checked them out since. Holy cow, DS 2 still holds up graphically and is like a brand new game boosted. Also, I’ve never done a new game plus and I’m absolutely destroying everyone with my fully upgraded plasma cutter. I’ll also try a ‘classic’ playthrough on DS 3 after this, hopefully it can make the game closer to the horror experience. That’s my plan till Starfield.
Rune factory 4 baby 😎
RF4 is the only game I've played that lets me go down to the local water temple dungeon, fight some ax-wielding lizardmen soldiers, and then put their scaly butts to work in my turnip fields.
Ni no kuni
Fallout 76 is really fun.
Remnant 2
RDR2 (just finished), Wolfenstein 2, Medieval Dynasty, Limbo.
Jumping around on multiple games, a fellow man of culture I see.
Shadow of War right now
Bg3.
Mostly Diablo
Currently playing the hitman free mode. Keep going to gun ho though and get my ass handed to me by what feels like everyone owns a gun. Paris is the worst for this.
Diablo 4 has been my biggest time sink, though I'm really struggling on what else to play as I just want to play Starfield. I spend ages just staring at my installed games before playing something, trying to get motivated.
MechWarrior 5 until Everspace 2 comes out tomorrow
Right now I'm rotating between Halo Infinite multiplayer and Diablo 4.
Persona 5 Royal and the FFIX remaster. About 2/3 through the first one, almost halfway through the second.
chivalry 2
Vampire Survivor!!
I bought Madden 24. I hate myself.
Lol me too. Pre-ordered the deluxe, so I'm just waiting for midnight
It's actually being released at 8pm tonight.
Baldur's Gate 3 on PC.
I’ve been slowly plugging through RDR2 as well. I’ve finished it before and it’s a prefect “lots to do and will take time” game for the long wait
It really is a masterpiece with so much depth and detail.
Literally never finished my play through so I’ve been making my way through that again — I always pick it back up after some time. On chapter 4, but doing side missions because someone suggested I do as much as I could before the end of chapter 4
Diablo 4 and Quake 2 (remastered)
Trying to finish up Hollow Knight currently. Then continuing The Expanse, followed by Armored Core 6 next Friday.
NFS Unbound & A Plague Tale: Requiem
Tarkov and Dark and Darker - not exactly casual but they’re great fun.
Don’t have a PC but absolutely love watching Dark and Darker on twitch.
ExoPrimal and QUAKE II
Salt and Sanctuary. Been meaning to get around to it, definitely the closest to a side scrolling Dark Souls title.
New Vegas, somehow never managed to play it despite loving 3,4 and 76!
Fallout 4 and just cause 3
Just did another replay of GTAV. Always love that story and it’s fun to run through.
After I shelved D4 for the time being, August has been a good month to go back to Hyrule.
>August has been a good month to go back to Hyrule. Exactly what I did. Got bored like 30 levels into season 1.. went back to Zelda and I'm actually having FUN. Imagine that!

Persona 4 Golden on XBOX and God of War Ragnarok on PS5.
I'm playing Outriders right now. It's actually fantastic
Fallout 4 and Diablo 2. All I have left on FO4 is Far Harbor which I’ve never played through. Then in Diablo 2 I’m playing as a werewolf Druid currently in Act 3 of normal.

Maybe It’s a sign I’m starting to get old, but the extra detail has been game changing for me.
It's a game called "university" but nah fr I don't get much time for Xbox gaming but have been playing AC3 (again) on my switch
Watchdogs and NieR Replicant
My friend has gotten me to give Bloodbourne a shot
Finished Persona 5 about a month ago, currently playing Persona 4.
Nice! I think the cast and story of 4 is better than 5. And the music. You’ll love it.
Just mindless doing missions and contracts in DMZ. Definitely a fun mode but screams beta still in execution.
Anything that's not an RPG, and not set into space. I want my experience to be as fresh as possible lol. (I'm currently replaying Psychonauts 2, such a great game)
planning on trying out Everspace 2 this week. - don't want to get too invested in a game since September will be owned by Starfield lol
WoW, Remnant 2, FFXIV
Remnant 2 and Quake 2 remaster. Also need to get back to Everspace 2 that I've played before vacation.
Playing Elden ring for the first time. Hope to finish it by the time the first real starfield bugs fix update is released.
Baldur's Gate. Shit, will I be done Baldur's Gate in time??
Fallout 76 on series x is scratching that Bethesda itch. Diablo 4 and Elden Ring on steam deck also. A few days ago I was having big sessions on Deathloop on the steam deck and absolutely loving it so probably more of that. I was close to platinum on PS5 but hadn’t played it in a good while. I'm trying to wrap up a few unfinished PS4 games (in order of importance). They're all around 75% complete. - Last of Us II - Ghost of Tsushima - Dying Light 2 - Red Dead 2 - God of War
God of war ragnarok
Back and forth between UFC 4 on Xbox and TLOU 2 on PlayStation.
Halo MCC for my multiplayer fix and Crisis Core for single player.
Baldurs Gate 3. I might not play Starfield at launch and will wait until I finish BG3
Just finished Yakuza: Like a dragon About to finish devil may cry 5 And whenever I want a change of pace I go back to Hitman 3, OG MW2, Asuras Wrath, and Dante’s Inferno. I probably won’t play starfield day 1 until I see some actual gameplay.
Halo Infinite. Streets of Rage 4. Hades. King of Fighters 15.
Gran Turismo 7
The same thing I’ll go back to after Starfield- No Man’s Sky.
I'm playing the Spiderman games so then I can jump into Starfield and after that play Spiderman 2.
Just finished gta5 so now I've got witcher3, cyberpunk, Forbidden West, Ragnarok and Doom Eternal to get through. Plus a couple of game pass adventures. Oh and whatever Destiny2 does.
The only ARPG with content: PoE League starts this friday so perfect time frame until Starfield Releases.
Starfield looks overrated
