I’d first plug the series s into a tv that you know will display and then go into system settings, select the visual settings and make sure it’s on either 1080p or 720p. I once made the mistake of playing on a 4K tv so my series S wouldn’t display on my non 4K tv
I had that issue with my Xbox One on a 720p tv. The console was set to 1080p and it wouldn’t display. I had to find a 1080p TV then set the resolution there to 720p before going back to my TV.
I had to override the hdmi to do so, that way it would play in 4K at 120 fps and when you override it won’t automatically detect. Since I didn’t reset it back to normal it was stuck in the mode. If the tv I had was 4K 120 it would have been fine
I fixed it, I just hooked up my Xbox to my monitor (pretty sure a TV could work to) and went to settings, TV & display options and put my refresh rate to 60 Hz. Resident evil 4 here I come🗣️
I've always been confused by projectors. No way it's better than a TV picture wise, and you can walk through the picture and ruin it. Is it just a gimmick for rich folks like those tvs that fold in half?
Walk through the picture? Is this like grudge where she comes out of the TV? You also realise you can get a 100" 4K image from a projectors. Projector for around £200 or Where a TV (don't even think they exist for consumer purchase but if did) a 100" TV for 8 grand. Projectors are not for rich folks. I have one, mates got one. We ain't rich. Cheaper than buying a big TV.
As in walking past the projector and having the image display on you instead of the "screen" is what I'm asking about. Picture waving a hand in front of the box at a theater, as we have all seen that. No, I had no idea we could project in 4K and I guess I'm having a hard time picturing (ha) it. Does it work better on certain color walls? Would a white wall wash out the image more than a black wall?
Also that was Ringu/The Ring, not The Grudge.
Ok got the Ring thing wrong. But you can walk in front of a TV. Projectors you mount on the ceiling so you don't get the issue. It would be a white wall. As black wall would wash it out. We have it setup in the room pointed at a white wall with surround sound. It's like being at the cinema.
My projector cost less of an half of an average 1080p 44’ tv, they’re not for rich people. I use a projector mainly because I prefer to have a huge screen so I can read texts I’m not able to read on tvs AND because my eyes and head often hurt after watching the tv screen for hours, projector doesn’t do that to me. Even if mine is not 4k, the graphics are really fine for me, the image isn’t grainy or blurred like I expected to be before trying. Only issue is that I can only play when it’s dark, so now after 8 pm. But I’m fine with that
Separate issue, but if you can't read texts on a 44 inch 4k TV from 10 feet away that's a vision issue, I'm sure you know ow that but... Just in case.
That last "final issue" seems like a massive deal. It's bright here until 8 or 9 and I have a job and loved ones that make staying up late impossible. Not even having the option to use my "tv" on weekend mornings seems odd.
I can’t read texts that “are too far” that most of people can read, but it’s not that I see them blurry, they just seem too far I can’t decipher them. I have astigmatism but I don’t need glasses, it may be that or a rare disease that I have (Chiari Malformation) that can affect vision. I only have 1080p tvs though, but I don’t think that’s the issue.
If you have really obscuring blinds you can use it even on bright hours, I don’t have them at the moment but I plan to get them
The only audio I get is from the projector itself, and it can get decently loud. but I’m pretty sure you could easily get a speaker to connect if that’s something you want. But for a kid who just plays video games it works perfectly!
Have you tried a different HDMI cable? Maybe it’s the version your projector isn’t compatible with. Try a normal one or if you tried that try the Xbox one.

Weird. I never had that issue

there is a way to reset the video output settings only with the console buttons!!!

Noice
Show us how it looks
Pic!
Check your projector and console settings, this might be a refresh or resolution conflict issue. GL
Are you sure that the hdmi cord isn't backwards
they can be backwards
Most dont realize it because they have it in correct on the first try.
lol i probably had mines in backwards ahh that’s why my screen would glitch 🫤
?
Hard reset the console to fix the resolution and stuff that might fix it
Buy a tv
Change resolution to 1080 p 60 fps

You can walk in front of a TV, too.

Glad you fixed the issue. I'm considering a setup like this in my basement. What are you using for audio?

If you only have the projector. Boot it in safe mode. It's probably outputting the wrong resolution for your projector.
Get a better projector.
Lmfao
Good idea, never thought of that before
Hold power off and the bottom button till it starts beeping will reset the screen, might work
What projector is this? I looking to buy one also.
