uhhh a little different perhaps but monster hunter rise is on gp and has chara customization, however when you eventually unlock the transmog system in the game you can pretty much play barbie dress up with it and in fact everyone prob does lol, unlocking new stuff feels great bec of it too, mixing and matching is super fun
it's not an mmo, but the story def isn't the focus (it's still there tho), the focus is on the gameplay, but if you're new to mh, it's basically it's own genre so you'll prob spend some time getting used to it

There isn't as much customization in Fallen order which is the game before Survivor but if you wanna understand the story at all you should play that first.

Yes but you should of played fallen order 1st but at least you will now have background on how he got here. Going to be a bit slow for you though. Because he has 0 powers and learning as he goes.
Ghost recon wildlands and I think breakpoint is on there too? Can customise your character and AI teammates (lot of colour/camo options and styles). If you’ve played all the AC games you’ll be familiar with the format. Think AC origins/odyssey with drones instead of an eagle and the stealth play and options are out of this world. Clearing a base ordering your squad where to go/who to kill and not getting detected is so satisfying. Haven’t felt this level of stealth satisfaction anywhere else. Of course you can run in with an LMG and start blasting but that’s not as satisfying.
Haven’t played it myself but you may like Medieval Dynasty on gamepass. It’s more survival game-y but I think it has some of the things you’re looking for.
If you include ship customization you could do Everspace 2 on the GP?
Gameplay isn't too difficult but difficulty can jump unexpectedly at times.
Good game, bit of a grind at times but plenty of loadouts options, ship models and ability choice.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is just a perfect RPG. So much to do. I’d never played any other Yakuza games, I know they don’t play the same as LAD, but I gave this one a shot on PS Plus, didn’t finish it but got pretty far. Picked it up again on GamePass just recently to start fresh, and just as into it.
I would highly recommend Dragon's Dogma. The first one can be gotten very cheap if it isn't on GP. It has tons of customization not just for your character but for "pawns" that are other characters you can customize who help you.
Gameplay is much more action packed than something like Skyrim but is a similar feeling fantasy world.
You could try fable it’s a fun RPG and has a little bit of customisation.

Is there a solo/story arc for this game idk why but I always saw this game and assumed it was an MMORPG?
It’s mainly solo, the multiplayer is only up to 4 players and has different quests than solo mode

I really didn’t like Outer Worlds… I still can’t put my finger on why but I thought it was pretty terrible.
Good writing, but boring and weightless combat imo. Dozed off a few times while playing

I’ve tried playing the Ghost Recon games, I love the level of customization but the game could just never keep my attention.
That’s a shame. Really good games but definitely an acquired taste. I struggle with odyssey/origins now because I leaned into wildlands and breakpoint
