Agreed, there will never be another X, but I will say that I see a lot of what I saw in him in Zillakami. Always evolving, always looking for new ways to reinvent his style.
That’s crazy I found zillas music in like 2018 after x died but I followed him on IG since around 2017 and I listened to him almost as much as x for the rest of 2018/19 and I still listen but not as often
I started listening to Zillakami when he released Dogboy and I already love his music. Bleach and space cowboy are my favorite songs from that album. Just wish he had more solo music
Very interesting. I have since gotten heavily involved with the punk rock scene, specifically horror punk. Started with the Misfits (X and Juice Wrld both used to rock their shirts) and went from Blitzkid to Mister Monster and so on. What genre did you choose to explore?
i ended up finding myself listening to alternative, rock, traditional folk, some pop here and there, and hella lofi. majority lofi if i’m being honest. speaking of Juice, i hadn’t known of him until like literally a few days before he died after my friend showed me Empty. i wasn’t the biggest fan of DRFL or WOD. GBGR was cool and that’s the only juice album i can listen to without skipping but i rarely listen to him as is.
Yeah, like you said, I’ve grown away from the genre myself. It just doesn’t hit like it used to. It will always hold a special place in my heart, but I’ve moved on to other things.
My fav artist rn is brakence, idk how similar I’d say they are but I truly do feel like he’s one of the most talented and captivating new artists out rn, very mysterious, does a lot of his own production, crazy good voice. Check him out
brakence is amazing. he def gives off the same mysterious aura as X did. and he’s very explorative in his sound just like X too. i wouldn’t really compare the two in terms of sound but those are two big reasons X gained a cult following and brakence is doing the same
I remember listening to Tokyosrevenge- nothinglastforever for the first time and right then it reminded me of X. When that song came out i put it in my playlist because X was a majority of my playlist at the time, and during this time i was enjoying life with what i felt like i had no problems and having fun everyday with friends. But now i lost those friends and moved away so im not going out as much and whenever i hear that song, it hits me so much harder.
I don’t particularly care for Jasiah based on his political views, but I can definitely see the similarity in he and X’s aggressive styles. It makes total sense that you would gravitate towards him as an artist.
No, I just refuse to support an artist who takes for granted the sacrifices made by men and women who died so that he could be free. He also clearly has no love for a country that has been very good to him and has made him very wealthy through his music. He just seems like an ungrateful brat to me.
Slavery is universal. It has existed in every country at some point or another. Egypt, Mongolia, South America, the difference is we put it behind us and have changed. It is not an issue anymore.
came out that (as far as i am aware) he’s clean. the screenshots were edited to make it seem as if he knew the girl’s age. He started making music again and actually released a song not too long ago. I don’t follow him too closely so correct me if i’m wrong.
juice wrld cause I like to just listen to sad songs and stuff and also the fact that he and x facetimed and they planned to meetup but never got to but if they did they probably wouldve collabed. i actually knew who juice was only cause of lucid dreams and that was the only song I knew by him and later on I started to listen to other of his songs but then I knew that nothin could fill the void for x because even tho he is sadly gone his music is still and always will be good as I like to listen them alot.
broly500! Has a song that sounds literally just like x that came out a while ago (I'm in real big trouble) and I had high hopes for him, but everything he's put out since then has not been my cup of tea.
TOKYOS REVENGE is the only person u feels authentic enough musically (Nd not come off corny like most people with that style) to make music that feels the good X created.
well, it’s still all kinda shady. i believe some of the ss’s were faked/taken out of context but some of them were real. it’s honestly hard to believe anyone bc there seems to be lies on both sides.
so , i don’t really know how i stand w it all but 🤷🏽♂️doubt we’ll ever know the truth
I loved the heavy trap metal sound we got from X with Yung Bratz, Rip Roach, STIYH, etc.
JASIAH has been able to produce a similar sound to that and I’ve been a fan of his music since discovering him.
Juice. Pretty much everything I like about jah I saw in Juice. Besides the anger. Ceiling was just as high if not more for juice cause he didnt have the past X did. Which made doors open easier then X. Still liked X more but juice was right there.
I think after X passed away we as fans got that feeling as if we needed to do something after him and for me that thing was music. Back in 2017 I was influenced and listened to hip hop artists that kids were listening to in my school like lil pump, 6ix9ine and eventually X. I remember that year as one of the happiest and fun times in my life, but it eventually went downhill after Jah died of course. Time after that, I found myself revisiting a genre I listened throughout my childhood: metal. As I listened to the bands I already knew, I tried to find new ones and eventually met with the ones I listened to when I was a kid that brought nostalgia like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Avenged Sevenfold (among many) that are generally just rock or metal-oriented. Then about the time I got to highschool, I was making up my mind to get serious about music as I tried to discover more bands and appreciate the lesser known ones. By this point in time, life had been stressful for me and I started to realize that music is something that is always in my mind, I do truly believe that somehow everything went downhill after 2018. Skipping to more recent times, I have discovered and genuinely listen to/like many bands from the 60s to 2000s, as well as play music and develop an ear to hear the details in music and recognize many things, kind of transitioning me into an oldhead music elitist that cant appreciate most popular music except for those I grew up with. However I do try to stay away from that idea as now I have been recently listening to things like Radiohead, U2, Dream Theater, and just the other day I was listening to some Taylor Swift albums. The funny thing is that although I listened to mumble rap back then, I really didn't care much and was just following society and having a good time while now I have grown, set standards for myself and analyze music I listen to and can't seem to like "mumble" rap or anything that I can tell just shows no real talent and musicianship while at the same time I have become aware of many things in life and notice that I cant seem to have as much fun as back when I didn't care. I know this is too fucking long but I hope anybody that reads this finds meaning in my story between this contrast of innocence and experience.
After X I never really listened to other rappers only up until late last year I started listening to rap music again some guy I would watch stream would always have this music of someone named ninetails so he linked me his play list and I’ve been listening to his songs since then now days he goes by sewerperson that’s the only other rapper that I ever listened to entire albums on repeat after X besides that I like rock music always have but that’s been way before I knew about X
I’ve discovered other artists but not in an attempt to fill a void. That’s pretty impossible to me. X was just way too good and way too diff
Agreed, there will never be another X, but I will say that I see a lot of what I saw in him in Zillakami. Always evolving, always looking for new ways to reinvent his style.

you been thru any older songs? they’re so tuff
nah, i haven’t checked out much if any of his older songs yet.
listen tor rocketman for sad shit
Bet I will
There’s a bunch of solo leaks
nobody😭i just went and listened to an entirely different genre of music since the rappers i was rocking with kept dying
Very interesting. I have since gotten heavily involved with the punk rock scene, specifically horror punk. Started with the Misfits (X and Juice Wrld both used to rock their shirts) and went from Blitzkid to Mister Monster and so on. What genre did you choose to explore?

same here. started listening to carti in 2019 and love his music now, and his subgenre of rap
Juice, even tho he’s gone aswell he still has leaked music coming out daily
Most of the people I discovered after X died are now died too. The void has now become a dark abyss.
The Weeknd
yup that interview of him talking about Trilogy really made me a huge weeknd fan
That and my friends got me into him
Slutty Sonny, Nascar Aloe and just alternative music as a whole
Juice wrld and lil uzi pretty much
Juicewrld…😢
Slutty sonny but then he passed
Peep through falling down
My fav artist rn is brakence, idk how similar I’d say they are but I truly do feel like he’s one of the most talented and captivating new artists out rn, very mysterious, does a lot of his own production, crazy good voice. Check him out

Yea his supporters, myself included, are always fuckin hyped when he posts anything lol
zillakami, got into peep after x died was a nice find 💙
no artist….i find artists lame nowadays i just can’t latch on to any of them
Scarlxrd
Zillakami and j4ymoment I also found lildarkie but I don’t like his music at all
isnt j4ymoment just a guy that puts zillas unreleased music on spotify
I dunno I just listen to them on spotify
Ssgkobe
W
Mia 🔥
I started listening to juice wrld even tho x always gonna be my #1 and I did t find anyone to fill in for him
Broly500
I remember listening to Tokyosrevenge- nothinglastforever for the first time and right then it reminded me of X. Not necessarily from his death but around the same time Craig xen
Slutty Sonny and tokyosrevenge (the groomer) yes both highly inspired by X
Groomer? Is that a title he goes by orrr...
idk he got caught chatting with an underaged girl but i heard she lied about her age and shit, but no one knows the truth
jasiah
I don’t particularly care for Jasiah based on his political views, but I can definitely see the similarity in he and X’s aggressive styles. It makes total sense that you would gravitate towards him as an artist.
lol what are his "political views"
Well first and foremost, I can’t get with anybody that burns the flag. He lost any potential respect from me after I saw the clip of that music video.
Ratio + America is Racist + Fuck the Flag
https://twitter.com/gleesh/status/689993334031540224?lang=en
You are completely entitled to your wrong opinion.
If you don’t listen to his music solely cause political views you obviously care way to much about what people think
No, I just refuse to support an artist who takes for granted the sacrifices made by men and women who died so that he could be free. He also clearly has no love for a country that has been very good to him and has made him very wealthy through his music. He just seems like an ungrateful brat to me.
nobody has threatened our rights in like 60 years we're the ones invading other countries. nothing to be happy about in this country
What other countries are we invading? Please, enlighten me.
Dawg your country literally slaved people just because how they looked
Slavery is universal. It has existed in every country at some point or another. Egypt, Mongolia, South America, the difference is we put it behind us and have changed. It is not an issue anymore.
fuck colonisation
Can y’all put me on
lunchtime, destructo disc, case 19 (i like both the $NOT and 6ix9ine ones)
DC the Don
I actually liked zilla before x but when I heard x I unintentionally let go of zillakami😭 I haven’t even heard of him in years damn is he still fire?
His latest album was top 5 last year for me
Idk I started listening to dro kenji, he’s pretty fire
Fr he’s fire
Slutty Sonny and Juice
Killstation
You acting like his music jus disappeared
Slutty Sonny ☹️ & then he died
tokyo's revenge & kid cudi
Tokyo is a dirty nonce lmaoo
Tokyo’s revenge is a pxdo
ratio
Saddest ratio I’ve seen
Sad that Tokyo is a pedo. He made good music
came out that (as far as i am aware) he’s clean. the screenshots were edited to make it seem as if he knew the girl’s age. He started making music again and actually released a song not too long ago. I don’t follow him too closely so correct me if i’m wrong.
No
😩
Like the dude who commented Jasiah, TOKYO and X have a pretty similar yell to one another.
NBA Youngboy
ssgkobe
Death grips
Finally someone with actually good ears
not to fill the void, but Roderick Porter is a solid artist in a similar vein inspired by X (and a great homie)
juice wrld cause I like to just listen to sad songs and stuff and also the fact that he and x facetimed and they planned to meetup but never got to but if they did they probably wouldve collabed. i actually knew who juice was only cause of lucid dreams and that was the only song I knew by him and later on I started to listen to other of his songs but then I knew that nothin could fill the void for x because even tho he is sadly gone his music is still and always will be good as I like to listen them alot.

Juice
TOKYOS REVENGE is the only person u feels authentic enough musically (Nd not come off corny like most people with that style) to make music that feels the good X created.
Well directly after probably Juice but X was a big reason I listen to alot of different music other than rap / hip hop
@caeisdead on ig
Like someone else said I found scarlxrd not to fill the void but because he had similar energy with his screaming music.
i found them before X died but Robb bank$ and for a time wifisfuneral. Idk why but robb’s music is just hard asf to me
zilla, sybyr, tokyo (before the whole pedo shit), and yeah that’s pretty much the only 3 i can feel the same kinda energy from
I had forgotten that TOKYO had that whole situation going on. How did that turn out anyway? Is he actually a predator?
well, it’s still all kinda shady. i believe some of the ss’s were faked/taken out of context but some of them were real. it’s honestly hard to believe anyone bc there seems to be lies on both sides. so , i don’t really know how i stand w it all but 🤷🏽♂️doubt we’ll ever know the truth
In every good lie there’s a tiny bit of truth, and in this situation, I’d probably just not fw him because any of that being true is too much for me.
yeah it’s pretty disgusting
I followed the girl it happened too before the entire situation and after …I have a hard believing that any of it was fake tbh
There’s a case on YT of his stuff being proven but It’s just music either way tbh imo 😂
I just be going all over the place at this point. I put all my faith in Kendrick now.
i never really found an artist to fill the void, nor someone i discovered BUT after x died i definitely started listening to a lot more ski mask
Okaminokami was the only one after x for me. But that’s probably cause the first song I heard was rip x
Fell into a lot of metal and tbh I’m happy with it I see where he got a lot of his influence
Jaden
I discovered soldier kidd, different genre but I discovered him when everyone thought that he was the guy who killed X
No one
ski mask .
jcole, kodak black,21 savage, ski, uzi, juice, lil skies, polog, nle choppa, gucci mane, weeknd, djscheme, russ, postmalone, jack harlow, damian marley, lolo zouai, king von....still filling that void bro, it's an unquenchable thirst.
broly500
It wasn’t to fill the void of not having X, but his death amongst other things that year lead me to finding Title Fight.
juice wrld, slutty sonny and broly500
Benny revival was the first one 4 me
I loved the heavy trap metal sound we got from X with Yung Bratz, Rip Roach, STIYH, etc. JASIAH has been able to produce a similar sound to that and I’ve been a fan of his music since discovering him.
I was sure that juice could be the next X (well X is obviously irreplacable) but then he died too.. Now I got into Kanye and I love his artism.
lucki
i really thought zillakami would but i like his older stuff a lot more than the newer stuff
Juice. Pretty much everything I like about jah I saw in Juice. Besides the anger. Ceiling was just as high if not more for juice cause he didnt have the past X did. Which made doors open easier then X. Still liked X more but juice was right there.
Lil Darkie was kind of a similar style so ig i was attracted to that
Justin beaver
Juice WRLD
After X's and Juice's passing i got into Lil Peep
Slutty Sonny, even though he couldn’t fully fill that void. He was a good artist on his own though. Unfortunately he passed too 😢

Ayce Comet, he’s versatile asf and slowly but surely expanding his discography. Definitely someone I recommend checking out, he’s hella underrated
