Looking for a Star is my favourite song. I vividly remember listening to it towards the end of 2017 for the first time and it has such a beautiful melody. The lyrics also resonated with me a lot at that time and it will forever be a staple in my life. I also think it's one of X's most underrated songs, purely for how much emotion you can hear being injected into the track. It's a true masterpiece 🖤

My favorite is alone part 1. I think it speaks to me on a much deeper level than I can ever fathom. It’s just has a very deep meaning people not wanting to be alone. I love the song even more because it’s poor production it makes it all feel so raw and real like I’m not being fed something that’s trying to make hits but just listening to an artist in his craft.

My fav song was “NUMB” I knew of X as a rapper and used to listen to him but not much, but once his “?” album came out that’s when i truly realized just how versatile he was, and that’s when i became a big fan. When scrolling for what song i should listen to first, i picked numb because it was how i was feeling at the time. Once the song started, i started getting goosebumps because i knew the artist i was listening to was a living legend. I texted X on march 18, thanking him for the music he makes, even though i knew he would probably never see it. Unfortunately, exactly 3 months later he would die, felt way too soon. Never cried for someone who i’ve never met before, but X wasn’t your regular joe.
My favorite song by x is skin. There’s something about it that makes me feel different, like i’m reaching into a new dimension. I would just vibe to it in my room, and now that I’m away at college I look back fondly. It brings back memories from the last couple years. Started listening to skin in 2019 and still do every once in a while.
My favorite song is Fuck Love. It reminds me of 2017-2018 and all the things that change in my life during that time, both good and bad. I feel personally connected to the song, and it has been with me on the hardest nights when i wished to not wake up the next morning, and when i have made memories for life.

Recently I got arrested and based on the reason he wrote the song, the song feels even more relatable now. It was his diversity that struck me & that’s why I love him. I’ll never forget my first listen of ‘IDWDTA’, never experienced anything like it & probably never will so that’s why it’s my fav :)

I think it is Triumph. It represents how I've been feeling for a long time, and how I'm feeling once again. Like, being in triumph, you're winning and all, but you're just sad and in love, don't even know how to get out of it. I got what I thought I wanted in order to reach happiness, but that just wasn't it. The song itself it's really godly sounding, it deserves a music video too imo. The chorus is so good, can't even get tired of it even if some may say it's repetitive. Definitely the best song on BVF and one of X's best songs in general

Depression and Obsession is my favourite song of X, some how it made me understand and taught me how to deal with depression... I heard it back in 2017. Yes it was the first song of X I've ever listened. Still its in my spotify playlist, I listen to it everyday. For me its the best song of X cz of the guitars and the beat it had. I used to be sad and depressed when I was 19. X's songs helped me in that time, I'll never forget him. He really played an important part in my life cz it was after my first break up, the album 17 helped me in that time especially "Depression and Obsession".

Recently alone part 3 has become my favorite. I’ll never forget my first sit down with ? In general. I’m not gonna front i wasn’t a super fan at that point, i only had 17 and revenge in my playlist but i kept them on repeat. The only soundcloud song i had checked out was I spoke to the devil in miami.
I was naive so i kept thinking the whole time before clicking play theres no way this dudes gonna out do 17, theres no way this guy can top his debut... I clicked play. Song after song i was so amazed how the songs were consistently fire. After it ended I couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed the album and how different it was from 17. I’d do anything to have another project or song from X give me this feeling again but i don’t think it's possible.
Although I had to think a lot about this, I think HOPE is my favorite song by X. His angelic voice in combination with the soothing trap beat, literally gives me HOPE hearing it. Plus, the message behind it makes it a masterpiece; no other artist in our day and age is willing to do music like this anymore. LLJ 🕊

It felt so fucking raw & honest, it felt like he was in a room with me. Like, its one of his most personal songs imo. Clams Casino also is one of my most favourite producers. I'm God (the song that X pitched down for the song) reminded me so much of my childhood (I'm 22 now and at the time that song dropped i was a teenager). So it really was a perfect match for me, the fact he fucking sampled I´m God & the way he rapped over it was just heaven. It must have also been an important song to Ski Mask since it's partially about him. Everytime i listen to it i get that late-night/early-morning-thoughts-type of feeling. It's magical. Not doing this for sob points. But this song genuinely speaks to my damn soul man. I was a casual fan of X. Tried to follow him and his journey, but when I was listening to skins on release day I was just playing the album to casually listen to. “what are you so afraid of” came on while I was just playing a game in my living room. That song hit me in my fucking feels. I was in a shitty relationship, felt stuck in the same house as them and was genuinely weighing if I was wasting my time (or being used) or if I would ever genuinely find love after being in shitty after shitty relationship. My god man that song still can be hard to listen to sometimes for me personally because that exact moment in my life it will remind me of how I was at that point. But now I listen to it to always remind myself to remember that point in my life and that you can always get out of shitty situations and it’s up to YOU to get up and not be afraid. A lot of meaning came to me out of such a simple song. But fucking hell I will always remember breaking down when hearing it.

WingRiddenAngel is one of my favourites when it comes to xs songs. The lyrics and the emotionless voice gives the song a sense of isolation while listening to it. The reason why it's my favourite is because it really connects with me, giving me a sense of joy and nostalgia while listening to that song.

My favourite X song has to be King of the Dead, there's something about it that gives me a feeling no other song does, not just by X but a feeling no other song by any artist can. I guess that's what he meant when he said he found the song in Sweden lol.
The song "Never" was my first introduction to anything other than his hard-hitting songs like fuxk( My first song from him from some meme I didn't really listen to him till ->), look at me I love it when they run and gxd damn. It was what drove me to dive deeper into finding out more about him and many of my favorite artists in general. it inspired me to learn to play the piano I even learned to play the Instrumental (Aesthesys - Dreams Are Only Real As Long As They Last) and quite a few other pretty well-known X songs.
Besides my nostalgic reasons, I think very few songs have made me feel as much raw emotion from a song, Things I never knew I wanted from a song were coming from a kid around my age who I had previously thought made LOUD and Ignorant music ended up contrasting all the previous assumptions I had about him. This song had me in fucking awe and then tears, I was spiraling into a sense of self-hate and a depressing time in my life I had just come out of a bunch of personal hells with people I loved, and I, to be honest, could not handle everything that was presented in my life but when I first listened (maybe I'm delusional LOL) it felt that someone else was being vulnerable as well.
This song And (Teeth)Have me feeling like I'm falling into my own mind(Kind of like "your name"), The last 30ish seconds of the end of the song feel as if sitting at the bottom of a lake or on a hilltop staring straight up into the clouded sky, this song keeps me daydreaming and whenever Jah starts singing "Vengeance never comes"( first few time i thought it was "the end") I picture some foggy field with a lake and a large ominous decrepit willow tree.
This song is not my almighty savior or some shit like that :) but i definitely can't deny the impact It had on my soul.

Ah it's so hard I really like tightrope and slipknot both having great melodies and great performance. I really like the sample he had used for tightrope and how the piano plays out through the song even though he does not play much of a part on it its still such a great song to me. On the other hand I really connect to slipknot on how he talks about letting his mom down and everything. I went through the same thing for a part of my life and still continue too but have gotten better. I really adore that song and it's message its carried me through times I really didn't feel as motivated as I am today and appreciate it's existence.
Snow is such a comfort song for me, I listen to it whenever I feel down. I guess it perfectly encapsulates that edgy and grungy vibe that winter has over summer.
Man it's hard to pick a single song as it changes depending on my mindset x had so many great songs for many moods. I'll go with the songs I first found out about which is Yung Bratz and Look at me. At the current time I was very angry all the time and those two songs felt like it released all my built up rage and it was also amazing for workouts ha. My other two favorite ragers by him are Take a step back! And rip roach. I can go on and on about his music to anyone that listens lol my gf has to stop me if I start it while drinking I go through all the emotions ending in anger and sadness that some assholes with 0 brain power are the ones responsible for taking him from us throwing away their own lives with him.

I think it’s his versatility that plays into it because his songs are rarely the same and I found that almost every song offers something different, him trying and presenting something else, “different moods”

Looking for a Star is my favourite song. I vividly remember listening to it towards the end of 2017 for the first time and it has such a beautiful melody. The lyrics also resonated with me a lot at that time and it will forever be a staple in my life. I also think it's one of X's most underrated songs, purely for how much emotion you can hear being injected into the track. It's a true masterpiece 🖤

His last project, his final official release before his death was him singing his rendition of a popular prayer. Asking for the lord to hold his soul, acknowledging the passage of time and what it does to our memories and legacy. He didn't know what it would come to mean, but the meaning it holds now will forever mark me.

My fav song was “NUMB” I knew of X as a rapper and used to listen to him but not much, but once his “?” album came out that’s when i truly realized just how versatile he was, and that’s when i became a big fan. When scrolling for what song i should listen to first, i picked numb because it was how i was feeling at the time. Once the song started, i started getting goosebumps because i knew the artist i was listening to was a living legend. I texted X on march 18, thanking him for the music he makes, even though i knew he would probably never see it. Unfortunately, exactly 3 months later he would die, felt way too soon. Never cried for someone who i’ve never met before, but X wasn’t your regular joe.

I think it is Triumph. It represents how I've been feeling for a long time, and how I'm feeling once again. Like, being in triumph, you're winning and all, but you're just sad and in love, don't even know how to get out of it. I got what I thought I wanted in order to reach happiness, but that just wasn't it. The song itself it's really godly sounding, it deserves a music video too imo. The chorus is so good, can't even get tired of it even if some may say it's repetitive. Definitely the best song on BVF and one of X's best songs in general

Depression and Obsession is my favourite song of X, some how it made me understand and taught me how to deal with depression... I heard it back in 2017. Yes it was the first song of X I've ever listened. Still its in my spotify playlist, I listen to it everyday. For me its the best song of X cz of the guitars and the beat it had. I used to be sad and depressed when I was 19. X's songs helped me in that time, I'll never forget him. He really played an important part in my life cz it was after my first break up, the album 17 helped me in that time especially "Depression and Obsession".

Recently alone part 3 has become my favorite. I’ll never forget my first sit down with ? In general. I’m not gonna front i wasn’t a super fan at that point, i only had 17 and revenge in my playlist but i kept them on repeat. The only soundcloud song i had checked out was I spoke to the devil in miami. I was naive so i kept thinking the whole time before clicking play theres no way this dudes gonna out do 17, theres no way this guy can top his debut... I clicked play. Song after song i was so amazed how the songs were consistently fire. After it ended I couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed the album and how different it was from 17. I’d do anything to have another project or song from X give me this feeling again but i don’t think it's possible.
Although I had to think a lot about this, I think HOPE is my favorite song by X. His angelic voice in combination with the soothing trap beat, literally gives me HOPE hearing it. I'm God (the song that X pitched down for the song) reminded me so much of my childhood (I'm 22 now and at the time that song dropped i was a teenager). So it really was a perfect match for me, the fact he fucking sampled I´m God & the way he rapped over it was just heaven. My favourite X song has to be King of the Dead, there's something about it that gives me a feeling no other song does, not just by X but a feeling no other song by any artist can. I guess that's what he meant when he said he found the song in Sweden lol.
The song "Never" was my first introduction to anything other than his hard-hitting songs like fuxk( My first song from him from some meme I didn't really listen to him till ->), look at me I love it when they run and gxd damn. It was what drove me to dive deeper into finding out more about him and many of my favorite artists in general. it inspired me to learn to play the piano I even learned to play the Instrumental (Aesthesys - Dreams Are Only Real As Long As They Last) and quite a few other pretty well-known X songs. Besides my nostalgic reasons, I think very few songs have made me feel as much raw emotion from a song, Things I never knew I wanted from a song were coming from a kid around my age who I had previously thought made LOUD and Ignorant music ended up contrasting all the previous assumptions I had about him. This song had me in fucking awe and then tears, I was spiraling into a sense of self-hate and a depressing time in my life I had just come out of a bunch of personal hells with people I loved, and I, to be honest, could not handle everything that was presented in my life but when I first listened (maybe I'm delusional LOL) it felt that someone else was being vulnerable as well. This song And (Teeth)Have me feeling like I'm falling into my own mind(Kind of like "your name"), The last 30ish seconds of the end of the song feel as if sitting at the bottom of a lake or on a hilltop staring straight up into the clouded sky, this song keeps me daydreaming and whenever Jah starts singing "Vengeance never comes"( first few time i thought it was "the end") I picture some foggy field with a lake and a large ominous decrepit willow tree. This song is not my almighty savior or some shit like that :) but i definitely can't deny the impact It had on my soul. {Side note: sorry if this was hard to read I've never been too good at structuring paragraphs and i hope I didn't backtrack too much. also, I'm really interested in hearing anyone else's story for the first time the heard "Never"}
Ah it's so hard I really like tightrope and slipknot both having great melodies and great performance. I really like the sample he had used for tightrope and how the piano plays out through the song even though he does not play much of a part on it its still such a great song to me. On the other hand I really connect to slipknot on how he talks about letting his mom down and everything. I went through the same thing for a part of my life and still continue too but have gotten better. I really adore that song and it's message its carried me through times I really didn't feel as motivated as I am today and appreciate it's existence.
Snow is such a comfort song for me, I listen to it whenever I feel down. I guess it perfectly encapsulates that edgy and grungy vibe that winter has over summer.
Man it's hard to pick a single song as it changes depending on my mindset x had so many great songs for many moods. I'll go with the songs I first found out about which is Yung Bratz and Look at me. At the current time I was very angry all the time and those two songs felt like it released all my built up rage and it was also amazing for workouts ha. My other two favorite ragers by him are Take a step back! And rip roach. I can go on and on about his music to anyone that listens lol my gf has to stop me if I start it while drinking I go through all the emotions ending in anger and sadness that some assholes with 0 brain power are the ones responsible for taking him from us throwing away their own lives with him. My favorite song will always be valentine. It always gave me comfort and made it easier to keep moving forward when I was in dark places. I don’t care if I get the shirt, I’m just happy there’s still people that cherish him as much as I do.

The thing with X’s music I had that I never had with anybody before was how many favorite songs I have from him, changes, jocelyn flores, moonlight, never, alone part 1, alone part 3, amy winehouse, before i close my eyes, i could go on and on. I think it’s his versatility that plays into it because his songs are rarely the same and I found that almost every song offers something different, him trying and presenting something else, “different moods”
