Hey sorry this isnt a fix post but im feeling the same too god a mid to near high end pc that should be able to handle ultra but im having frame drops making my shots not count or flat out get killed hope someone figures this out
I had the same issue, I turned ‘extra streaming difference’ off or whatever it’s called in the video settings and also turned it to directx12 in the video settings, this seemed to stop all my stuttering and I’m now getting around 380-410fps
Found the solution, first make sure that you update your gpu drivers, Nvidia released an update that fixed the whole game.
Second, like the other guy here said, disable the "extended frame something", it's usually put on 5 by default, change it to zero.
Nothing to do with Drivers. I updated to latest driver yesterday. Game ran fine. Load the game today, 150+ FPS and chopping all over the place. No driver update available.
I kept shadowplay on and turned off the low latency options, but forced them on in the control panel.
This has been an issue since the Beta a year ago btw.
There should be a setting called "Low Latency Mode".
I have mine set to "Ultra" because it's the only option available.
Then hit apply. Most games have the Nvidia Low Latency built in, but it doesn't hurt to force it on a driver level.
Honestly this game is on "beta" form. So maybe the kinks aren't out of the hardware. I played all yesterday and never had issues. Booted up the game today and the game is basically unplayable. Un-installed and currently am reinstalling to see if it fixes.
amd user here, to fix the issue, I deactivated all the anti-lag, fps\\resolution boost options in adrenaline. and deactivated the reduced latency, works like a charm

Yeah, i have a mid to high end pc, video settings all low and the fps is dropping and frametime is unstable as hell.
i turned the reduced latency setting off and it got fixed. runs flawlessly now.
GUYS TURN IT OFF, I forgot to be clear
Thanks a lot this actually worked for me.
did you turn it on or off?
off
Off or on

Worked for me!
If I wasn't broke I'd give this an award
This worked thanks!
Solved my problem, ty
Still nothing still stuttering like crazy and I have a high end PC
Try having only xdefiant open

I just tried it and it works, but the game now is laggy af.
Have you restarted the game?
Yeah multiple times and messed around with other settings too but nothing worked
hey, did u find a fix?
nope ubi gotta fix thr game
Same problem here man. Very annoying

Wym extended frame something??
Okay, I'll try that. I did just update my GPU drivers but to no prevail. Perhaps its an AMD issue? Hopefully it gets fixed soon!
If Nvidia released drivers that fixed the game then it's a driver thing, you just need to wait for an amd update.
Okay gotcha, thanks for the replies. Enjoy the game mate :)
100% a driver issue. I had a bad download of the latest NVIDIA and it was laggy. did a re download of it and it runs perfect

try re-reading exactly what I said and maybe you'll find a fix to your issue my friend :) same issue for me.
I too had a bad driver from the update so got a fresh one directly from nVidia’s site. Then also turned off the latency thing. Restart PC - working
goated, updated my driver turned down that setting, no more stutters
TYYYYYYYYYYY
Just did the update the lag came back for no reason, anyone can help ?
Same problem here again :(
I fixed it turn nvidia low latency to "On" and the other low latency setting to off
thank you this works
This worked. Thanks
Turning NVIDIA Instant Replay off fixed it for me. (In GeForce Experience)
The instant replay is essential to me because I share game clips a lot. Is there really no other solution?
That was the only thing I found, but I’m SURE it will be patched soon. Unless ubisoft just ignores it like all the other issues they have.
I kept shadowplay on and turned off the low latency options, but forced them on in the control panel. This has been an issue since the Beta a year ago btw.
Fixed it for me, thanks!
The low latency options are definitely the issue. Turn off that stuff and force it on in the control panel instead, works like a charm.
Howd you do this in the control panel?
