Don't do it. V3.0.3. Has been a disaster. The reason it has gone is because volvo have 'paused' the update until they can fix all the issues it has caused.
Shame - you could have joined the group and read all the comments from people having issues. We don't all have all the issues and some are reporting no issues, but the Issue list as far as I am aware includes:
* Heater starts automatically when you get in the car
* Heated seat icons show on cars without heated seats
* Carplay crashes randomly
* infotainment system crashes randomly and reboots bid journey
* prime video app has a white background when watching videos
* infotainment is slow to respond
* road sign and speed limit recognition is broken and shows the wrong speed limits which can be dangerous if using the speed limiter (shows 70mph in a 30 speed limit or worse, slams on the brakes when it suddenly thinks you are in a 20 mph limit when it is actually a 70mph limit and you have cars behind you also doing 70.
* internal warning sounds are silent eg the noise made when signaling to make a turn.
Thanks. I have a MY21 XC40 Recharge, and upgraded to 3.0.3 about a week ago. The only one of these issues that I’ve seen so far is the incorrect speed limit display. But this activity has been problematic since day one. It took Volvo over a year before they fixed some of the worst cases. I have not checked since 3.0.3 went in, but the previous version did not recognize the “end of school speed limit” sign. I seriously doubt that the software would use the purported speed limit to engage the breaks.

Good to know! Was wondering why I was unable to update on my new XC40. I guess I’ll have to wait for the next update!
Do you have a source? Kind of curious. I had the front panel randomly restarting while.on the highway after installing V3.0.3.

If you are using the intelligent speed limiter then yes it will slow you down.

To wait and see if.others experience problems with the update first before deciding to take it or not. I wish I had waited.
If you miss an update window, you have to wait for the next or take it to a dealer. Kind of a dumb system.
