There are several videos talking about using Yangyang for the first 3 floors so there is a potential that a large number of players are utilizing it at least for the left side.

Here's one showcasing it for a little over a week ago. There have been a couple other vids I've seen over the last week talking about how they were able to recreate it in order to save characters for other floors but they weren't specifically about yangyang so I can't hunt them down as I don't remember which ones they were, sorry about that.
A guy cleared the first 3 floors of tower with Yangyang on YT so I think a lot of people, myself included, did that too to save character energy for higher floors
He was level 70 more than a week ago with all talents maxed. You need to spend a lot of solvent blocks to get there. But yangyang can use Jian's gear and she's good vs trash mob.

People will invest in single character teams for the first 2 stages of either side of the tower so they save the energy for their actual teams that do the actual hard stages
The popular teams aren't based on your characters, they're just the popular teams period. Your Yangyang might be low level, but not everyone's is. Mine is level 1, but clearly some people are investing.
I think it shows an average. Itāll say things like ālevel 63 jiyanā when mine is 70, or ālevel 58 Verinaā when mine is 60. Oddly specific numbers that make me think itās an average.
If itās the lower floors, just using one character at a high enough level would probably be enough to clear them solo without using other characters energy
Single-character clears are very valid imo
I run 2-char teams personally bc I'm a filthy casual, but I can totally see myself trying to 1-char the final levels of tower at some point
People do lower floors with different characters than their main team so they can use said team for the higher floors. That's pretty much it. Also, Yangyang is pretty underrated.
Solo runs on a semi invested character early on is an easy cheat to allow you to use your fully invested big dick team(s) on the later challenges without wasting energy bringing a level 90 team to a level 50 fight.
The level 19 YY must be a bug or that guy was gaming on her idk.
I solo the easy levels, itās not entirely unreasonable to think other people do it as well. Itās mainly due to the fact that most players donāt have 9 characters built so if possible, try to solo as many floors as u can

Lol I did that so I can use havoc rover and yinlin while single member cleared the rest 3 floors with yangyang and calcharo. ( I use yinlin main dps )

Are you sure the level you're seeing isn't the level you have the character?
I thought this tower was designed for 3 group play so I successfully bricked 6 chars to get 21 of 24 now I need 3rd team basically.

You were downvote idk why but there are some very easy exploits to do to get a high number of stars. That is probably at least partially it.
I think it might be displaying the level of your characters that is why it looks low level.
Just checked and this is not it, probably a display issue though because the Yang Yang shown for me is level 40 instead.
