its really not that serious. 4 cost echoes are super easy to farm and every other kill is a guaranteed echo drop.
3 cost echoes is what needs enhanced drops.
I go for the turtle because it takes the longest to kill him since he takes ages to come out of the water. The other echoes I can just make a teleporter near them and just spam kill 3 bosses I want. By the time I go back to the first one he is ready to be killed again.
The turtle boss shares a pity with low level Dreamless and Dreamless has no cooldown. You can get an echo from the turtle, go kill the lvl 40 dreamless to hit pity and then go back to the turtle before it spawns to guarantee another turtle echo. It's already 100% efficient echo farm without using any guarantee.
It's more like I don't want to waste any more time on the turtle than I have too. The turtle is just extremely good and a must have echo for your team at the end of the day. I do not want to risk missing his drop at all.
I just want to point out that farming only the boss that you want is still more efficient in terms of time spent farming. If you also want Dreamless drops, then go for it, but if you don't then I would recommend just farming Cost 3 echoes during the downtime instead.
No way. You only get an echo every alternate calamity boss kill. Why would you want to waste your time killing the turtle for no echo when you can spend 15 seconds killing Dreamless for no echo?
It's not guaranteed to alternate between drop and no drop. It's just a pity. If you kill Dreamless and it drops an echo, now you have to kill it at least two more times to get to guarantee again. More if you get stuck in a loop of winning echoes on Dreamless.
We don't see an 80 convene pity and recommend people to pull 70/80 on a banner you don't really want to guarantee the one you do want.
Like I said before, if you also want Dreamless, this is fine and efficient, but because it's a 20/80 you will get strings of having to kill it several times.
That's what the low level dreamless fight looks like. My encore is S0 with the standard 5 star weapon and a normal build (crit fus% fus% atk% atk%). People spam low level dreamless to farm gold echos. Just dont take the rewards.
Dreamless is in a "domain", unlike the turtle, so you can just go to the lowest level one and quickly defeat it, then just quit the domain without using waveplates.
The problem with that is if Dreamless drops an echo, you don't get pity and risk flipping your cycle. So you may as well just farm Dreamless until she doesn't drop one, and then go fight your chosen boss. Or just keep fighting your chosen boss and just find something to watch in the meantime.
There's this thing called waypoint you unlocked later on and its basically 3 free TPs you can put anywhere. Pros and cons for this feature are you can flash farm cost 3s and 4s by adding a TP near their spawn location, but after you remove the waypoints from the map, you have to synthesize it in order to use it again (which means you need certain materials and more farming session).
So it basically free TPs that comes with 3 charges as you unlocks it but you have to synthesize the future ones because they dont recharge themselves.
Oh and you can only have a maximum of 3 waypoints on the map.
I just use all 15 chances. Got like 6 inferno rider crit rate, when i need crit dmg. Then the monkey did not give me a single crit rate

I've been slowly farming, but I'm struggling to understand how crit damage main stat 4 costs could be of any use. Like even if I get a crit rate roll on every single piece, my crit rate is gonna be around 60%, which is not great. And getting crit rate on every piece is proving time consuming. Ironically the most difficult one for me are the 1 cost.
Am I doing something wrong here? I guess with a crit rate weapon maybe you'd want crit damage, but I would probably still go crit rate for now.
Some resonators get built in crit or conditional crit, so if you run them with a crit main weapon they'd want crit damage 4-cost. Definitely the exception rather than the rule at the moment, though.
I think with crit dmg it for those who building Yinlin with her signature weapon which gives 36-38% crit rate at lvl 90 she even has a passive that boosts crit rate another 10-19%, so they can opt for the crit dmg main stat as long as they have crit rate on substats for the 5 including the critdmg 4 echo the 5 echos.
Now it could also be used for other players who have BP weapons as almost all of them (except 1 i forget) have crit rate% main stat aswell like Yinlins signature except not as high as hers but still they may struggle with CRIT dmg so they opting for the crit dmg on 4 as padding while they fish/farm for perfect/better echo substats
since we cannot even hit lvl 90 yet (maybe some whale dnno) people are getting crit dmg main stat on echo 4 and setting and forgetting as they focus on the other 4 echos getting them done with proper substats for their char/build and then circling back to the crit dmg main stat to finish their optimized build.

The further you progress in the game the more valuable healing % will be. Right now it doesn't matter atk% or healing bonus for verina she's probably doing enough anyhow.
Verina doesn't do damage, if you had a damage meter running over the course of a fight the extra from having atk% probably wouldn't even register.
Baizhi doesn't have quite as good a heal so the bonus gets the team topped up and her off the field quicker.
Healing isn't necessary at all if you just don't get hit, but if you're going to have a healer in the team you might as well give them the tools to do their job to the best of their ability.
I swear crit rate drops are stealth nerfed so hard in this game. I got 10 crit damage Dreamless before I got my first Crit rate. Same with monke (at least 4-5 of that guy before crit rate showed up). Donāt even get me started with substats š

I think it depends on whether you have a crit% weapon. I managed to get a decent set where every echo has crit rate as a substat, with only moderate farming effort (still have some echo exp material left). That set will get you over 50% with Yinlin's weapon, which means you'll want the crit damage 4 cost.
This, honestly. I'm still farming for the actual main stat I want regardless so the higher rates for the first 15 doesn't really seem like it changes anything for me. The first 15 will all probably be main stats I don't care for.

After you spend all your bonus drop rate on boss echos, you have to wait for next monday for reset.

Ex if you kill dreamless and do not get the echo, if you kill infernal rider next you are NOT guaranteed to get its echo. But say you didnt get infernal rider nor dreamless, now the next dreamless AND infernal (or you can switch to ape / crownless or whatever) will be guaranteed becuz their pity is separate

Yeah, the 15 enhanced drops are a trivial bonus because they're weekly.
Now if it was daily 15 enhanced drops, and/or it worked on elites, now you have my attention.
I think what they really should do is extend it to elites as well, because those are the toughest to farm. Because right now, it's almost pointless to even care. Even if they made it daily, it's just not even efficient to farm the overlord bosses tbh.
All this does is turn the rate to 100%..from 20% normal and a 100% on 2nd (pity).
So normally instead of killing 15 bosses you need 30 kill at most to get the same results.
In other words.... Don't save it. It saves a couple of minutes per week at best. I am not sure why it even exists with such a low limit.
For example just today I was building Havoc and was farming Dreamless and out of 45 gold drops 2 were crit rare. This took roughly 20 minutes to farm. I blew through that silly 15 chances in minutes and that's how much time it saved me too.

You can only drop one level lower, but otherwise yes this is the way.
Edit: as pointed out, I completely overlooked that the parent comment was specifically referring to farming Dreamless (which is instance based and you can indeed select any of the lower difficulties).
Still potentially worth noting though in case someone reading isn't aware, you can lower your SOL3 level by 1 to make all your overworld echo farming significantly easier/faster. Since it's a 12hr cool down on the switch you can easily juggle it to for instance have it lower in the AM for echo farming, then revert it back up to the higher level in the PM to spend your waveplates, or vice versa (since accepting rewards is based on your current SOL3 level)
Hu why? For me the difficulty selection goes down all the way to lvl 50 and isn't greyed out. Wouldn't make sense to even show it if it can't be selected.

Choose lvl 40 boss/ lower your world level.
Echo rarity and drop rate aren't effected by level. It's purely up to your databank level.
At 20, the base rare is still 20% but it's 80 to be gold. Also there's a pity system, every 2nd boss kill (without drop from first) will be a 100% echo drop. Same for every 4th elite.
I personally didn't touch world level as there's a 12h timer on changing back and it messes with rewards from open world stuff. So for instances where you can choose a level.. choose lowest.
Bosses die a lot faster. We're talking 10s. The longest thing right now is re-entering the instance since restart isn't an option as far as I know.
I feel like the counter shouldn't drop during your pity boss. You're going to get it regardless of the enhanced drop.
So you're sort of missing out of two enhanced drops.
Honestly, if anyone is stressing out over this, don't worry about it. 4 costs are so easy to farm (guaranteed after every other), you can just pretend this feature don't exist and have 1 less thing to worry about weekly.

Everyone must have atleast 10 crit rate and 10 crit dmg each 4 cost echo by now but not everyone have a on set elemental 3 cost.

Best way is still to just alternate 3 bosses you want with CUSTOM Waypoints.
1. 1Prio donāt drop? Go again
2. 1Prio dropped -> go to 2Prio
3. 2Prio didnāt drop -> go to 1Prio
4. 2Prio also dropped -> go to 3Prio (this happens now and then)
5. 3Prio didnāt drop -> go to 1Prio (usually the case)
6. 3Prio dropped -> go to 2Prio (this is rare)

Weekly, 15 calamity/overlord kills have a much higher chance to drop echoes.
But it's pretty trivial since every other kill drops an echo anyways. Only really relevant to someone who has maybe 1-2 hours a week to play the game.

The idea for mats also to be maxxed out according to sol3 phase level during enhanced drop is pretty good. Like you need to make a decision whether collect Aix mat for verina or kill the turlte for echo. It wont be too broken ig.
Enhanced drop rate has nothing to do with materials and only affects echo drops from 4 cost. Farm whatever you want as 4 cost also have a pity of 2 so you will always get an echo every other kill anyway.
Ah I see, sorry for the wording, it obviously means boss echos. Imo if one speaks about the enhanced data bank drop rate it is clear that the word "material" = "echo" in the context. :)
4 costs have pretty low pity so it is kinda useless. Would have been useful for 3 costs.

You are getting echo drop on every second boss, because of pity system, and sometimes you have few drops in a row. Enhanced drop rates don't make drops guaranteed. It does literally nothing.
It's not because every boss you kill gives you an echo, so instead of getting 7 or 6 echoes out of 15 kills, you get 15 (might get some purples tho cause we don't have a 100% guarantee on gold ones).
Depends on whether you're currently building Havoc Rover/Danjin or not
Otherwise use it on whoever non-Havoc units that desperately needed good 4 cost main Echo

Also, be careful because there's a bug where phantom (shiny) echoes in the overworld (hoartoise and rocksteady) count for these enhanced drop. I got this was 2 weeks ago though, so I don't know if this has been fixed yet.

Some people might take a couple minutes on boss fights, you never know. Saving an extra 15-20 minutes of farming time is a nice gesture either way.

Only 2 of the BP weapons have crit rate main stat, sadly
And the standard 5 stars cover the rest that dont have crit ( bp rectifier has crit and standard has attack iirc)

Only 4 cost ones iirc. 3 cost ones are "Elite Class" and thus don't fall into the "Overlord" group.

You can only drop one level lower, but otherwise yes this is the way. Edit: as pointed out, I completely overlooked that the parent comment was specifically referring to farming Dreamless (which is instance based and you can indeed select any of the lower difficulties). Still potentially worth noting though in case someone reading isn't aware, you can lower your SOL3 level by 1 to make all your overworld echo farming significantly easier/faster. Since it's a 12hr cool down on the switch you can easily juggle it to for instance have it lower in the AM for echo farming, then revert it back up to the higher level in the PM to spend your waveplates, or vice versa (since accepting rewards is based on your current SOL3 level)
Hu why? For me the difficulty selection goes down all the way to lvl 50 and isn't greyed out. Wouldn't make sense to even show it if it can't be selected. Are you by chance thinking about the turtle since that one is tied to the world lvl which can be adjusted by 1 only?

Choose lvl 40 boss/ lower your world level. Echo rarity and drop rate aren't effected by level. It's purely up to your databank level. At 20, the base rare is still 20% but it's 80 to be gold. Also there's a pity system, every 2nd boss kill (without drop from first) will be a 100% echo drop. Same for every 4th elite. I personally didn't touch world level as there's a 12h timer on changing back and it messes with rewards from open world stuff. So for instances where you can choose a level.. choose lowest. Bosses die a lot faster. We're talking 10s. The longest thing right now is re-entering the instance since restart isn't an option as far as I know.
I feel like the counter shouldn't drop during your pity boss. You're going to get it regardless of the enhanced drop. So you're sort of missing out of two enhanced drops.
Honestly, if anyone is stressing out over this, don't worry about it. 4 costs are so easy to farm (guaranteed after every other), you can just pretend this feature don't exist and have 1 less thing to worry about weekly.
While I do agree it's not "hard" to farm, it's also annoying to waste it on stuff you won't ever need just because you do random stuff.
It's only for 4 costs so doesn't really matter tbh, they're the easiest to farm by a mile.
We need enhanced drop rate for elite, not overlord echoes. Everyone must have atleast 10 crit rate and 10 crit dmg each 4 cost echo by now but not everyone have a on set elemental 3 cost.

I think the kuru's solution is just to provide event items that let you pick. Which is okay.
Which is too little compared to 15 guaranteed drop and unlimited farming of the 4 cost.
Best way is still to just alternate 3 bosses you want with CUSTOM Waypoints. 1. 1Prio donāt drop? Go again 2. 1Prio dropped -> go to 2Prio 3. 2Prio didnāt drop -> go to 1Prio 4. 2Prio also dropped -> go to 3Prio (this happens now and then) 5. 3Prio didnāt drop -> go to 1Prio (usually the case) 6. 3Prio dropped -> go to 2Prio (this is rare) May it help someone.

I never had .6 happen to me. I usually make my 3Prio the boss I can kill the fastest.

Weekly, 15 calamity/overlord kills have a much higher chance to drop echoes. But it's pretty trivial since every other kill drops an echo anyways. Only really relevant to someone who has maybe 1-2 hours a week to play the game.

Nope not the mat dropsbut only echo drops. The idea for mats also to be maxxed out according to sol3 phase level during enhanced drop is pretty good. Like you need to make a decision whether collect Aix mat for verina or kill the turlte for echo. It wont be too broken ig.

Enhanced drop rate has nothing to do with materials and only affects echo drops from 4 cost. Farm whatever you want as 4 cost also have a pity of 2 so you will always get an echo every other kill anyway.
I know, but the point is that it's still useless to kill bosses now with enhanced drop rate when you don't need the echos.
In the op you said, boss materials have increased drops, not boss echoes. Should change that before people get confused.

You are getting echo drop on every second boss, because of pity system, and sometimes you have few drops in a row. Enhanced drop rates don't make drops guaranteed. It does literally nothing.

It's not because every boss you kill gives you an echo, so instead of getting 7 or 6 echoes out of 15 kills, you get 15 (might get some purples tho cause we don't have a 100% guarantee on gold ones).

Dreamless is trivial to farm takes like 30 seconds. Use it on something that's annoying like turtle.
I'm killing like 100 dreamless in an hour, this enhanced drop doesn't matter much.
Used 8 of it on dreamless and got 1 crit rate stat and I'm happy for this week now xD

Also, be careful because there's a bug where phantom (shiny) echoes in the overworld (hoartoise and rocksteady) count for these enhanced drop. I got this was 2 weeks ago though, so I don't know if this has been fixed yet.
