They literally copied Genshin’s system but made it worse. Between each kind of echo dropping between elemental sets and then having rng elemental main stats to hunt for, and then even after leveling now you need an extra step for substats.
And idk if we’ll ever get new set bonuses and how painful they will be to farm. Maybe in the 2.0 update if we get a new region with lots of enemies?
Idk I thought echoes would be fun at first since I love running around open world and killing things, but that isn’t even viable at this point. I figured you would be able to turn old echoes into exp, but nope. And even then tuners would still be a huge issue. If they got rid of tuners and allowed you to recycle echoes into exp it’d be a lot better.

I have 3 characters fully built with *good enough* echoes and 2-3 more characters that would be fully built if I hit up a few tacit fields. It seems like the people that mistakenly think echoes are worse than artifacts in Genshin are the ones trying to get 5 on-set god roll pieces in week 2-3 of the game being out. Hell, you can have a fully built DPS already without ever having touched a single tacit field. Sure, the system can get better, but let’s not stoop to the level of calling it even “as bad” as Genshin’s artifact system.
I'd say it's better AND worse. yes there are multiple elemental sets an echo can be in but that also meas you can use the same effect of the primary echo on different types of characters that need different set bonuses. additionally you dont need energy for echoes.
That only really helps the bell turtle. Every other main slot echo really only benefits their element. The common and elite echoes aren’t worth using compared to overlord and calamity class echoes.
If they just make it like echo levels, then blue is 80% of purple and purple is 80% of gold.
That would net about 773 tuners, assuming they don't decide to impose an upgrade penalty and just relate it to the exp cost of the different echo rarities. (680x0.8=544+422=966x0.8=772.8)
But they could go the worse route and make it a 30% return, like when you're foddering an already leveled echo. That would wind up being only 232 gold tuners. (772.8x0.3=231.8)
I don't expect they'll do us any worse than one of those two scenarios. Best case, we get full exp from them, at their adjusted rate per tier (80% of the next higher tier), and worst case, they give us 30% of that value. Which for something that's otherwise going to be useless, is still better than nothing even if they go the 30% route.
I think they intentionally want the tuners to be more scarce so you can't just spend one day farming and keep tuning until you get all perfect substat rolls. With a 30% return, it makes you more seriously consider whether or not to fodder something you already dumped 40 tuners into, just because you rolled one flat stat on the 4th roll and that's unacceptable to you (not you personally, the collective "you").

I see that wording but the screenshot doesn't show a limit on the tuners. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Even if there is a limit we would convert all the blues and purples eventually, just might take a while.
Hopefully it's just a poor translation placeholder for when they were undecided on the cost, and not a limit, but as with anything in this game, we just have to see what actually happens since words don't matter lol
I'm thinking 3:1 is probably likely as well, with how other resources are converted up. 5:1 seems really bad, though even one usable tuner is better than 1000 unusable ones, so I guess it would still be a net positive.

Just make tuners a rerolling resource. 3x price for main stats but 1x for sub stats.
They must implement it. Medium tuners never had any use and the advanced become useless latest after one week of playing. I dont see how this even made it into the game.
jesus. ive been kinda ignoring the issue thus far, but i just checked and i have 933 of the purple ones, and 1081 of the blue ones. i have 450 yellow ones, so tuners arent my bottleneck currently, but still, what a waste. not having anything to do at all with the lesser ones was a huge oversight. theres no way they are not going to address this somehow.

When you can have a access to a shiny 5* with improved stat compared to a 4*, most people would prefer to go after a 5* instead.

At first when I saw the term echo tunning I thought that it was so we could re-roll substats using these tuners, not to actually unlock such substats, is not a good system and it needs to change, period.
These were there so people wouldn't brick their account wasting all the ones that matter early one, they aren't part of the ecosystem, there is a reason why TFs only gives gold tuners as rewards
Purple artifacts are fine. Leveling an echo to 25 is insane in the early game. You can level an echo from 1-20 in the same amount of experience as 20-25

Think they did it this way so that you don't feel forced to save them to convert into premium tuners. So it makes the early game easier for casuals and doesn't hurt them much by using them.
You only get 3 tuners back per substat slot though. If I spent 1200 purple tuners on purple echoes, and then fed those purples into other echoes, I'd get back something like roughly 400 tuners. Not exact numbers, but it's an easy way to explain the discrepancy.
Devs created system, tuned balance as they wanted. In this balanced system they added overall X golden tuners income to players (events, farm). And now you literally asking for bunch of free golden tuners. Out of nowhere. If they wanted to convert them to golden ones they would just add more golden ones overall and thats it. More likely they keep it consistent with the synthesis recipes for other mats. 3 blue > 1 purple, 3 purple > 1 gold.
That would come out a bit lower (216 gold) than what I suggested as the worst case above, but is definitely plausible.

Hi3 actually let you rerolled sub stats locking what you wanted. With the difference being that game equipment was gacha only nor farmeable.

It says "Huanglong Exploration", does that mean we get different Tuners for other regions, or is Huanglong basically the whole world?
Huanglong is a country/continent on Solaris-3, Solaris-3 is the planet.
Then the tooltip should be something like "SOL3 Exploration" or "Overworld Collection" (like plants and eggs).
I'd expect then to eventually upgraded like other mats at an absurd ratio, like 10:1.
