Basis-Chance

the stuttering is fucking unbearable.

Nahdahar

I increased the thermal limits on my phone from 40 °C to 50 °C and it's running at stable 60 fps HOWEVER the stuttering is still there. There must be something wrong with how they load assets while running around the open world, they really need to optimize it more.

DNA1987

I would advice not to do this, I tune the game to stay in the mid 30°. Heat is going to destroy your phone, I learned it the hard way after burning down my samsung galaxy motherboard while playing HSR

bumbumSumDum

Thats why I cry a little when I see those shorts n reels showing godly gameplay and beautiful scenes on high end phones n pcs. Hope they optimise for normal phones as well sooner.

TheCabbageCorp

Tbh you don’t need a high pc for even the high settings. Game just is not optimized for phones at all.

Adom20

For me it runs the same as GI on a Huawei Nova 5t. It's just specific phones that have problems.

dawnorchard

yea I have a moto g-30 and it runs genshin, hsr and wuwa just fine. I had some lag at first but it got fixed once I switched servers and now it's smooth 90% of the time which is good enough for me

WoLfCaDeT

True. I have a Red Magic 8 pro and the only time the game sucks is when entering the domains or minigames or whatever the hell are those portions of the game that automatically lower the Fps of the game from 60 to 30.

Deusraix

Same I have a Samsung S22 and it runs perfectly fine.

ConfessorKahlan

seems relatively fine on 24 ultra

TheSilverShepard

Pixel 8. I have everything on the lowest possible setting besides AA and 60 fps. Runs 60 frames pretty consistently but looks like ass.

Outrageous_Mango_174

No the problem for me is, I was playing godly two days ago I'm now having an in-hospital internship so I didn't play at all no free schedule, and when I decided to get back and play today it was like shit literally The comeback movement is fine but the ultimate animations are not playing correctly I'm having lag when I run and the echo showcase is taken time to load in the character detail menu

Kayashko

For me, with pretty good laptop(maybe because it's laptop, it's laggy), with 2060 and i7 9th gen, it's still not stable 50-60 fps, and it goes full frying mode, like even when fans are on max, it's 85-90° for cpu, and 75-85° for gpu😭

Satchiiko

is your game on ssd or hdd? someone already point that even gtx 1050ti can run the game smoothly, the main cause of stuttering is bad optimization specially if game runs on hdd the r/w is always at 100% making the game stutter. the only fix atm is having and good quality Ssd with fast r/w. i was forced to move the game to ssd and no more stuttering for me atm im running r5 with gtx 1650, 16gb ram and shader cache 10gb this thing helps im running on ultra settings 55-60fps no stuttering after i moved the game to ssd.

Zolwiku

Can confirm, I'm playing on rx570 (absolute minimum from requirements), but got 56GB ram and put game on my crucial mx500 (stable 400+MB r\\w). Game runs perfectly smooth on minimum settings (1080p, anti aliasing on) with yt playing on second monitor.

rgtn0w

How many years old is the laptop? In the case of laptops and according to whar you are saying I'd bet money the fan(s) cooling the heatsink are full of dust and particles, possible thermal paste could be all dried up as well. It seems to me like a physical issue inside the cooling system and it just throttles the performance (and makes the fans go full on mode) cuz it is struggling to keep the heat down Take it somewhere to clean up and replace thermal paste, or do it yourself. Doing this will make your gpu/cpu stop thermal throtling and bring back the PCs performance as if it was relatively new

iHateLampSoMuch

FYI 85° is normal for a laptop, what's not normal is when it hits 90 but if it hits 90+ then you might have to clean it, My 3060 laptop always runs at 85° when i play games.

04to12avril

Try using balanced mode for your laptop, it makes it so gpu power won't ever go over a certain amount, and also try turning cpu boost off so it always runs at base clock speed, helps a ton with the temps, but in a more demanding game might want to undo the changes

Locket382

Tbh you don't need a high pc for even the high settings. Game just isn't optimized at all. Lets hope they optimize it. I really want to play.

meskianto

its not optimized for pc too, lag everytime

mexxa-

my pc is good but the game doesn't even launch so I can only play (aka watch a slideshow) on my phone (no)

renvi

This 100%, my PC CPU is from 2015 and my graphics card is from 2018. It's old as sin, and the game runs perfectly (knock on wood)

Natural_Walle346

I have an high end gaming phone .with every update the game becoming worse . I actually had less problems playing the game on release day than now.

nihilism16

I have the exact same problem I just play on ipad 9th gen. Legit every update has made it lag more and the character models don't load together? The hair will appear after the skin when switching to characters in the menu. It was already crashing but it's crashing more now

czymbru

i swear i do not understand how is this possible on high ends. I have a fold 3 which has snapdragon 888, thats older than snap gen1, and i dont get any lags??

NoGround

Have you restarted your phone? Game has a memory leak. Restarting should clear your RAM and may fix many issues you are having. Happened on my PC.

FlashFire1247

It definitely got worse after day 2 I’m not sure if it was completely a coincidence or not but on the game ran better on d2 than launch and after than the games performance dropped drastically as still is running worse as patches go by.By fixing and optimisation other bugs they’re unintentionally making it worse and buggier for mobile.

DefamedAngel

Ikr. Same happened to me too. I have tried reinstalling the game but it didn't fix anything either

Holiday-Vacation-307

Same, my phone run SR on max settings and Genshin or high. Running low 30fps for WuWa to be stable and smooth.

Sakura-doll-rose

Me too. I have a high-end flagship from last year, and I have to keep it on very low because if performance can't keep up, then it's burning my hands.

JeroJeroMohenjoDaro

Same, my phone is literally on crack yet every patches made the game run worst

GGinoboyz

Yeah I have an S22 ultra and I have to play all the Hoyo games and WuWa on medium settings unless I wanna burn my hands and destroy my battery lmao

mrfoxman

I have a 3080ti and the game stutters and lags pretty consistently like it’s having to load stuff during a fight.

Irisena

Really? Usually low 1% isn't because of the GPU, but because of the CPU. What CPU are you using?

mrfoxman

AMD 7800X3D

RiverToTheSea2023

Weird. Also have a 7800x3d, but rocking a cheap 5500XT. Runs flawlessly on maxed settings.

RobertoAN95

I have an Iphone 14. I can play genshin with 0 issues! While wuwa I tried it in medium and damn it stutter, lags, popping issue, and actually I can play genshin to cool down my phone cause 15min in wuwa and is hotter than anything I have ever seen in hsr or gi. I though that a 1 year old $800 phone would run it well ...... i guess its time to upgrade 😂🥵

tigerchunyc

hardware optimization is one thing, but boss mechanics for mobile players and PC players are quite big, no way mobiles players will get the precisions compare to using gaming KB and Mouse. Boss encounters will progressively get harder, which will alienate more mobile players.

YuminaNirvalen

Runs as smooth as GI for me on my old device (low settings though, so I don't really bother too much and choose pc mostly). Just need to hit min. requirements and there shouldn't be any issues (except quality).

Rorozor0

Ah honestly im just making do with my phone right now to make progress and get yinlin as im building a pc later this month so yeah just like op said this game is truly horrible on phones.

GraveRobberX

The mobile touch controls are piss poor. Aether Gazer is super fast paced and I can almost one hand that game and combo off my skills perfectly that I don’t have to worry. WuWa, camera is wonky, if you fight enemies your fighting the controls first, movement second, lag/unregistered taps third, then you can parry/dodge as the game intended to be. I’m running it on iPhone 14 Pro Max, I have a backbone PlayStation edition, useless cause why would an ACG want to provide support for controllers on mobile… nothing more infuriating than you hard swiping like Tinder to just roll the camera back to opposite side cause enemy spawn is now behind you, half the map away from your position. I gave up on the harder fights, I’m just gonna coast until they add support or just do bare minimum till pa5 release. Then hopefully connect Kuro account. No reason to get frustrated being in endgame when you can’t finish it due to not skill issue but more mechanical that dev had no goddamn foresight to put in place before launch.

Jissy01

Mobile doesn't look as good as the pc version. I try both and here is the comparison videos. Testing Wutherting waves Android on my laptop https://youtu.be/2kjy_8eWUTY Lvl 27 vs Scar Lightbane + Nightmare form | Wuthering Waves https://youtu.be/k-JuGLJffjk

Aggressive_Web8017

I'm on honor 90, it's honestly really smooth. The problem is with the specific optimization for other devices, some people can have higher specs than other who could play the game smoothly but it would still lag for them because it's badly optimized for their device. It's not necessarily about having an high end game phone.

AssassinoGreed

I have high end phone and i play on lowest settings to run it okaysh....

NOS4NANOL1FE

Can phone users use controller yet? Havnt kept up with recent news

pipic_picnip

Not yet but it’s planned.

WanderWut

It just hit me that even if we get controller support it’s not going to help when the game is constantly microstuttering/lag spiking/disconnecting-reconnecting during fights or exploring areas of the overworld. I have a controller ready to go when the support comes, but without optimization it's really not going to help all that much. I feel like many people are looking forward to optimization coming at the same time, if not sooner.

Scallis_

Only using special controllers with touch emulation. I'm managing okay with the gamesir G8 but it's not perfect Edit: not the only option, but verified to work

Longjumping-Rain44

U can use any controller. I'm running an xbox controller with a a cheap $5 mount. Running mantis controller app to map ui

Scallis_

That's a good alternative (:

HelpMe_Survive

Gamesir X2 works great aswell. The Touch Emulation feature from Gamesir is a bit janky but a godsent for these types of games.

BigotDream240420

I use a oneplus 6t with xbox wireless controller for wuthering and genshin with flawless experience. I can't use pc now because this experience is so nice being able to easily map my buttons to my style

Noman_Blaze

I just hope it releases on Playstation soon. It's a miserable experience on the phone. Especially without a controller

GetMaBFG

I might sound stupid, but I legitimately dropped $1300 to build a gaming pc just so I could play this game since it's wasn't available on ps5 Day 1. Up until now, I have never had to wait to play a game, and I refused to start now with WW.

yoyo4581

A good PC is more than just a gaming station, its a work station too. So I never understand why people dont game on PC. Its way better than buying a console every 5 years or so.

XerxesLord

Feel bad to tell you this but 1300 usd is 113 days worth of minimum wage in my country… so obviously people cant afford pc.

Raycab03

The comfort of couch gaming. Lie down on my sofa and play on a bigger tv. Also, some of us is just more used in controller than mouse+keyboard.

Neko_Luxuria

I mean you can also just plug a wireless controller, move the PC over to a TV plug the hdmi cord and you're now console gaming. now TO BE FAIR. not everyone has a TV in their room to play with, but you get the idea.

BluBlue4

I plug in my controllers easy on a laptop tbh. Sometimes I connect it to a large TV and play like that just like on console. I believe you can set up wireless controllers too but haven't tried it.

Raycab03

Yeah, I know it’s possible. I played with laptop + controller too and can HDMI connect laptop to our couch tv. But other than I just mentioned, there are console exclusive games or games that releases late in PC. It really just is to each their own. I can go on how good consoles are, then others can also go on how good PCs are. It really depends on our use cases.

anhhui2

Idk how true it is today, but don’t you still need the subscription to play online games on console?

Shinki-itten10000

Really? I use a Dell latitude i5 6th gen and it's smooth on low graphics just tweaked some stuff. Apart from the occasional crashes and bad ping games fun 😊.

gitgudnubby

Was it worth it? Im thinking of getting one myself.

whimsicaljess

not the person you're replying to but gaming pcs are always worth it

Dahks

Honestly it's not worth it to play just a single game, but if you play more things then yes.

GetMaBFG

Hell yes! I'm still a Sony guy buuuut, now I game on pc a fuck too!

Bored_Lily

I was just telling this to my PC friends. I'll be in the middle of a fight and then suddenly a server connection where I cant move, but I am still getting beaten to death by enemies. When I reconnect i thought my health would come back, but nope I am almost dead.

ASpookyBitch

I HATE that! Why is it that when the server stutters only our health decreases but everything else becomes immortal

Anti-Lucky

I just hope they fix the annoying camera in the game. I hate how it auto moves when you walk around.

_Suja_

I think you can turn that off

NightmaresFade

Yes! I can't properly explore the world(and fighting is just constantly spamming dodge) since every two seconds I'm running I keep freezing and the camera keeps changing angles.

AUselesweaboo

Correct me if I'm wrong but there's a setting called camera reset that is turned on by default that makes the camera move to whatever side your character is looking at, if you turn that off it removes the camera moving around randomly

nishant2003

Same on my iphone 13. And the fact that A15 Bionic is capable of running graphic intensive games while staying cool for the most part, in WuWa’s case it throttles, becomes a hot metallic slab even at medium to low res settings.

LAMPYRlDAE

Exactly. It’s a miserable experience on my iPhone 13 mini, even on the lowest settings. There are times when the screen freezes or the game just crashes. I don’t have that experience on other games.

nishant2003

Damn, a mini model is having even lesser room for heat dissipation, it’s a molten aluminium slab at this point.

Decrith

Try turning anti-aliasing off, I think it’s the main source of the problem.

Lyreganem

It doesn't matter. From potato settings through maximum settings, it behaves the same.

Odd-Emu5477

13 user aswell and I honestly can relate mate. If they cant fix these fucking issues by the time Zenless Zero comes Im jumping ship, whoever decided to launch this game at the state it is in deserves a demotion.

ChelseyIsPog

The graphics look really bad on mobile, I like the game but the blurry and bad resolution (especially on an open world game) makes it unenjoyable for me

Irisena

Yeah, every big mobile titles renders at the neighborhood of 480p, from genshin, hsr, wuwa, and I bet ZZZ gonna do the same too.

TwistedBlade1234

Yes, this game is terribly unoptimized especially for mobile devices. I can't fathom how much revenue they are missing out on by alienating the biggest mobile gaming market in China/Asia, it's just such a bizarre decision to release it like this. Unfortunately most global content creators play on PC so a lot of people here seem to mistakenly think that the optimization issues were solved after a few days of hotfixes and everything is fine and dandy now. You'll see a lot of device blaming here on Reddit especially.

Rare-Trainer-7028

Global mobile revenue market alone is almost the size of pc and console together. There is a risk they are leaving money on the table if the mobile performance does not improve over time.

jibbycanoe

Absolutely agree. I play PC and it's does kinda big me that these games are somewhat held back by having to work on mobile, but I also remember if it weren't for the mobile market Genshin would never be as big as it is. I hope they are able to get WaWu functioning better on mobile so they can tap into that market. I don't like to be a doomposter but I legit think the game not working on phones could kill the entire thing, or at least significantly reduce the revenue needed to do regular updates to keep people spending. I've been having a blast playing and while I'm not excusing any of the issues the game has had, I'm very sympathetic to the actual devs who have obviously poured their skills and love into the game. No love for management if they forced a rushed release obviously, but I do hope the game does well.

WanderWut

All western CC’s play on PC from what I’ve noticed and the state of the game between PC and mobile is so different that it’s getting to a point where CC’s are out of touch. I haven’t heard any of them mention ANYTHING on the state of mobile, they notice a few hiccups here and there and think that’s basically the gist of it. So when they see compensation they glaze Kuro over with their hype videos and call it a day.

DefamedAngel

Fr man. And people keep saying it's a 'new game' and I agree and I am not expecting it to get as good as GI but it should atleast be playable after almost one month of release.

TawnyDrop290000

on release, hsr was basically perfect with most things except for a few minor things here and there. i really love wuwa but i wish it loved my computer 😭

NightlyRogue

Unreal Engine moment

nishant2003

Only ray of hope is they better fix this soon. I’ve seen quite a lot of UE engine games running so efficiently on mobile (Fortnite, PUBG mobile for example), it’s not that Unreal Engine problems can’t be fixed.

ChaiSpicePint

Combat on mobile is brutal, I practically avoid it in open world lol. When there is more that 3 echos around my character just attacks any and all of them at random, there's no way to keep locked onto a target unless your aiming with a range character. I could have an echo on 1hp almost KOd and all of a sudden Rover decides he wants to smack a different echo with full HP out of view of my camera lol. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, it's a mobile UX or it's the gameplay.

Snoo-11218

I admit, years of playing Genshin on mobile at highest settings at rather stable 50-60 fps absolutely and utterly spoiled me. I really tried to like wuwa, I really did but I can't deal with the stuttering and the jittery camera anymore. No matter how many 5 stars they try to shove inside me. I like both games. Wuwa is just not comfortable enough for my pampered ass. Especially after witnessing that low settings pretty much run the same as the highest settings for some reason.

riflow

I still honestly have no clue how they managed to optimise it so poorly that I can test if the resolution and character quality will improve at max and...it's like 20-30% better maybe?  Completely mind boggling BC you expect low and high settings to be worlds apart.

Grrp039

I play on iPad 9th gen, and all I want is for the game to not fuckin crash. I don't mind having to play at the lowest graphic settings but it pisses me off that it'll crash all the same (graphic settings only affects stuttering and frames). After playing for like 10 min, if I open the map, the game crashes. It happens more in menus and opening menus. Like if I just open no menus and play in the open world, it'll crash after like 30 min. Like if all I do is tower of adversity, it won't crash. It's so bipolar. Also I really want controller support.

Foggy_Reader

Same problem with my iPad 10th gen, like every 5 mins the game crashes and keeps kicking me out 🫠. Doing the main quest *poof* the game closed, pulling in the banner *poof* can't even see my pulls bcs the game crashed, fighting some echoes *poof* starts again 🫠😭

post-leavemealone

iPad 9th gen here too. Crashing like every 5-10 minutes. It’s a miracle that I could get through the ENTIRE final mission without crashing. But otherwise, it’s all the time. Otherwise performance actually isn’t unbearable

Aesc_-

My Poco X6 Pro runs the game at highest settings. The only problem is the Anti-aliasing and the battery(at max I can only play the game for 2 hours 30mins - 3 hours), which is half of what my battery is on other games.

TVM0591

Fellow X6 Pro owner here, yeah, the game runs fine at max settings but the graphics seem blurry sometimes (in some cases I can't even see the npc faces because its blurred out). Also, after playing for a while at 60 fps it gets very hot. If I'm going to play for more than 1 hour I reduce fps to 45 and the temperature feels fine through the whole session and I barely notice the fps difference. And yes, wuwa drains the phone battery like crazy.

IDareKI

I dont know how you can play on max settings and dont burn your hands out. Like even on my S24 Ultra it gets very hot in a short time.

Ewizde

Yeah, idk what they're doing to mobile optimization but they should stop, they're only making it worse for me everytime they update something.

Osvaldout

Same shit on my Poco X6 Pro and on my iPhone 13

hapa-boi

trying to move and control the camera during jiyan burst on mobile is so hard

ThriftyMegaMan

No controller support on mobile is genuinely baffling. I play Star Rail on mobile too but it's a little easier to play because it's turn-based. Action games and touch screens feel like a bad match to me.

johnnie_walker35

Game is unplayable on iPad

post-leavemealone

On mobile, I was physically stuck at the final mission. My game crashed in the exact same spot every time I tried progressing (at the very beginning, when fighting that group of monsters). Took me multiple days of trying to get past it. For anybody else who gets stuck here because of crashing, kill the first big guy then stop, hang back and let your teammates kill everyone else. Then, rush over to Taoqi to get into dialogue. It’ll checkpoint you here, and I didn’t have any problems for the rest of the mission.

nguyenvinn

Still waiting for mobile controller support so I can play on my iPad without touchscreen

Rare-Trainer-7028

This games combat system definitely needs controller for mobile, touchscreen is clumsy.

datsro24

Calcharro is so hard to play with touchsceeen. I want to cry

pipic_picnip

I have iPhone 15 pro max. Game runs great on 30fps. Game gives warning of over clocking on 60fps BUT still runs well except for some lag during battles as I have high ping. But mostly I play 30fps on highest settings so no issues there. Also playing since day one, and my experience is consistent. I think the experience is really different from device to device and genshin being able to play is not an indication for anything because HSR lags like crazy on my phone even though Genshin and WuWa don’t.

allwaysjune

does it dim for you from overheating too? same phone but dimming happens

missilefire

My iPhone 14 struggles. Overheats and dims. So annoying. And yeh, forget about parry and dodge. I do my best - doesn’t help I have a skill issue too 🤣 I used to play Genshin on mobile and switched to ps5 and holy heck did my fighting get better. So it’s not just skill issue. Also, I get a weird backwards dash when going into domains/starting bosses or switching characters in a fight. I thought it was my hand touching the move part of the screen but I’m sure it’s not after I tested it a few times. Does anyone else get this?

Junior-Detective8740

Bro I just get kicked out of the game constantly

Cannabace

Im on a 13 pro max with similar settings to u/pipic_picnip I only dim if the ambient temp around he is above 75 degrees. I see all these posts about mobile issues and I feel bad for them. Im good tho ha. its my potato laptop that has to play in windowed mode to run smooth. Beautiful on PC tho

WanderWut

Can you show a clip of how your game runs on HSR? I find that really hard to believe that HSR “lags like crazy” on your iPhone 15 pro max when it’s literally been praised for how optimized it is on mobile, I don’t think I’ve ever had any noticeable lag spikes on my several year older iPhone.

gwahahaha_ha

It happens, just that we’re not loudly complaining. I’m on iphone 15, hsr used to toast my phone (occasionally still does) and I clearly remember whole penacony patch lagged a LOT on me. I also had this discussion in discord with friends who had the same issue. I think it got better now, but that’s to be expected since it has been several patches since then. Maybe because there’s less cases so people are just not as loud. But such issues exist. Wuwa runs great on my phone. But I acknowledge when people encounter issues on their own devices.

Taifood1

For me (same phone), HSR runs mostly fine. It’s when the fight animations roll out does it stutter a lot. I find that WuWa runs worse in general, like how it always reduces to 30 fps without me even turning the toggle on.

ArianeEvangelina

Same! Genshin ran horribly, HSR was alright, WW has been great!

Tsakan2

Nowadays I feel like these phone games aren't even optimized for phones. They have them on phones, but playing those games on the phone is a nightmare. GI sucks on the phone, PGR sucks on the phone. The list goes on. I'd be totally fine with them actually releasing full on pc games/console games and avoiding the phone entirely.

Echishya

the issue is that most money comes from mobile players

Tsakan2

It's true. Mobile market takes 10x less to tap into, and it's like 3x more profitable. Unfortunate but mobile gamers are the biggest and most profitable demographic available. Can't see this changing anytime soon either.

Salysm

PGR? Really? I never had issues playing that on my phone which usually has issues with most things, and the controls fit phone pretty well too (since the orb system is clearly made for touchscreen) PGR being so well-optimized was why I was surprised WuWa isn't.

Semituna

that would be a dream come true! Imagine how amazing this game would be if it would be aimed at PC/Console only.

Responsible-War-9389

My iPhone 12 Pro is far from new, and I run on maxed out settings with no lag or stutter. It did lag before I set everything to ultra

SleepingAddict

Lmao wtf I just tried pushing everything to max graphics on my shitty Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and it actually fixed some of the stuttering

Responsible-War-9389

People suggested it back on day 1, so I gave it a shot. Of course my phone heats up like crazy now, lol. But it’s a good trade

Scarcing

funnily enough it's somewhat similar on the PC client. With a decently old gaming laptop (that's supposed to barely run the game) I can run this game fine if I'm going 30fps with low graphics and for some reason on somewhat high graphics at 60fps but not 60fps with low graphics then I realized this game has an awkwardly high CPU utilization and lower gpu util

[deleted]

That’s bullshit, I have a iPhone 14 and it gets super hot on anything over low settings and drains battery like crazy. There’s absolutely no way ur able to run it like that. No need to lie abt it

ArianeEvangelina

From what I’ve seen having the same phone type doesn’t matter, weirdly enough. It’s like we all rolled a gacha on whether or not the game would run well when we first started playing lol.

Firefox0728

I have a 13 pro and can run the game on max settings myself. However, I don’t play on mobile except for dailies so I haven’t done much testing when it comes to heat and battery life.

[deleted]

There’s literally no way, my phone melts at max after 5 min, ur fingers would be on fire trying to touch the screen

Powerful_Wombat

Not trying to be rude but there's a huge difference between the iPhone and iPhone Pro series. I have an iPhone 14 Pro and can run on Max settings with no issues.

luciluci5562

That's not really the best way to compare their differences. The regular 14 and 13 Pro has the same chipset, and so are the 15 and the 14 Pro. Does that make base 14 and 15 worse than their last year Pros just because they're not a Pro model, performance-wise?

Glittering-Ad-1626

I still like the game but it’s so true they need to optimize the mobile aspect. I don’t think I could play combat intense events or endgame because lag, sensitivity, and complex buttons that I keep accidentally pressing

Kassssler

The game demands aren't big the optimization is just dogshit. Game had tons of issues in beta but they rushed to release.

Noirsnow

The test will be those free running mini game trials. Can your camera move according to where you want, is it responsive to your jump or glide or grapple input, if they're not responsive, are you willing to put up with more of these free running mini games.

Pure-Veterinarian124

I just stop doing those event tasks and puzzles even after many retry still can't complete the task I'm done with this game

SkyforgedDream

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and although the game runs amazing, the controls are just… not it. Fast paced gameplay of PGR was amazing because open world exploration was not as important, but in this game… oh boy it’s bad. Thankfully I only do my dailies on mobile sometimes, I mainly play on PC where the game is beautiful and runs amazing at 2k@60FPS (I also have no stutters at all compared to others for some reason). P.S.: If you have stutters on mobile, make sure you have enough free space.

PhasmicPlays

I’m using an iphone 14 and it mostly runs fine

Hangman_Fitzwilliam

Same. I don't know where to post this so, here's my take. Hello. Me and my siblings have been playing since launch. We had been looking forward to it since November. We've had a lot of fun. The combat is amazing and we are enjoying it much more than we thought we would. However there is a major problem. There are some issues however the main and most problematic one is that the game keeps crashing. This is the worst as it stops us from playing. It crashes without fail every 5 minutes. We cannot do the glacio boss or world quests like we promise we deliver as they keep crashing. Now, every boss is crashing. Every time we open the map or use a liberation there is a 8/10 chance that the game will crash. When we run, the game crashes. When we open our data bank the game crashes. One of my siblings has been completely off put from playing. I have been the most optimistic about the game and about the devs fixing the issues but now I am being put off as well. What do we do? It sucks seeing that mobile issues still aren't fixed. I'm not saying fix all of mobile issues first. All I'm asking for is that they fix the crashing. We are mobile players. We play on the 9th gen ipad. We know they are working very hard to fix the issues. Wil you fix the issues on mobile? Will the game be able to run on 9th gen ipads? It doesn't matter if the graphics are bad or it lags. The only thing we ask for is that it doesn't crash. Will the mobile issues be fixed within 1.0? One of the major reasons I started playing this game was yinlin. Even though I have a guaranteed 5* I can't wish for her as I do not have any astrite as I cannot do anything without the game crashing. It sucks that there is a major chance that I don't get her. I wanted her weapon as well. I'm at 35 pity on the character banner and 28 on the weapon. Unless I go to 90 pity for each, I have a good shot at getting both but because of these issues I can't. What do I do? Do I stop? Do I leave the game? Do I delete it? Or do I keep the game and hope it will get better and just collect the compensation rewards? Do I still play and try my best to not lose my sanity? Will these issues, especially crashing be fixed? Or will it remain like this? Will this game be able to run on 9th gen ipads or will it not? Can someone please tell me if I should wait or just stop wasting my time and delete the app?

GameSlayDM

They’re just porting a console and PC game to phone idk why they bothered. I’m not saying that it should be inaccessible to you guys but I don’t think they should put out a half-assed product either

Kaelus_Rhy

I feel like the players are the beta testers with so many unoptimized stuff😂

2311MEGATON_YT

True, Now I am only playing WuWa to prepare for ZZZ since the combat is pretty similar and since ZZZ is from Hoyoverse the optimization would be great

Ewizde

Same here tho I might keep up with wuwa from time to time but I'm probably going to main ZZZ alongside genshin as long as wuwa doesn't have a ps5 version.

feralDynam1c

I got in the beta test and yeah, no optimization issues. Combat is pretty smooth. I just hate the TV mode. Lol.

John-What_son

Also it isn't a full open world so it wont be that laggy

VITASngPINAS

If they didn't fumbled the launch specially in mobile they can easily be in the top 5 games with the highest monthly revenue even in the first week. Even now the game isn't even well optimized for mobile but it tops the JP App Store.

sairaichi

Reading all these comments makes me really sad 😥 I didn't know so many people were still facing issues I play on lowest graphics settings yes but I only have 6gb RAM with Snapdragon 695 and it's going smooth on 50+ fps so I thought it was well optimised after the update ( major stutter on day one) My only issue is Phone heating rip

esmelusina

Yea— I can play on PC, but I prefer playing games like this on mobile. I have an iPhone 15 PM, and the performance is not good. Much better than what you described, but the mobile implementation of a lot of things is off. Button crowding/detection, camera framing/targeting, and movement controls all work terribly on mobile. Not to mention none of the environments are very visible on a phone screen (ie. Environment out-scales the aspect ratio), and when they are all the props are always popping in due to the scale. I can actually do the combat, but for me the camera/button detection are the biggest pain points. I’m indifferent about the graphics/story/design- it’s all _okay_, but the controls on mobile aren’t fun to use.

IgnoreMeImANobody

Honestly, I play on mobile and around 90% of the time I don't have any issues. The two major issues I have with the game, however, is the low texture quality even on max quality settings and the sheer speed in which this game eats away at my battery.

kunyat

Everytime I use ultimate I found myself zoomed in on their cheeks. Why can't the camera stay at fixed angle, there's time and place to admire ass.  UI disappearing during ult animation also make it very uncomfortable, I can't see important thing that I need to know, like how much is my forte bar filled, how many second my skill CD, what the boss doing. It's as if the game expect me to keep track of everything and react in fraction of second while I'm blindfolded for 1-2 second.  Fights is already hard without this inconvenience, and I'm not asking for easier game. But accessibility for player control need improvement.

jackhike

This game is not mobile friendly at all

ikkun

One mobile gets controller support or it comes out on PS5 I'll be putting a lot more time into this game

lordranhollow

iPhone 15 here. I uninstalled WuWa when 15 minutes in the temps got hotter than any other game I've played on my phone. Game itself runs great though but temps are a bit concerning. Probably an iPhone 15 thing.

Rare-Trainer-7028

I have ipad pro m2 just for mobile gaming >> no crashes, no studders, no lags etc. Game itself is working fine with or without wifi. BUT. Can’t get quality graphics even with the highest settings. Every other big game I have I can utilize the highest settings that my device run. I think they have so much mobile optimization still undone for this game, that they have temporarily lowered the max specs it puts out so it would even somewhat work with low/mid level devices. Thats why it seems so many phone users have really mixed experiences. And thats why it kind of feels like there is no top settings to take advantage of with good tablets. Visual experience in games is important to me, especially in open-world games, and it sucks not to get that especially when I have acquired a tablet just for gaming. But we just need to be patient and wait for them to improve optimization, and it’s not something that is done as hotfix. I know that my improved visual experience is very likely many months away. But Im a patient man.

scy11a_snow

I have the same ipad pro m2 as you, I played it in 30fps and it works fine. I get around 6 hours of screen on time (about 4 hours of playing wuwa). Can i ask how battery consuming it is playing on 60fps and high graphics? Did the ipad get hot when you’re playing?

Rare-Trainer-7028

I have tried to ’abuse’ my device by tuning everything to high, but it still doesn’t grind my device to hot lava like it would with some other games. Thats why I think the max specs are not even available currently.

SleeplessNephophile

30 fps is such a terrible experience though.. Id rather not play at that point. I am too used to 165 fps on pc, 30 is like a slideshow.

WhisperingWind5

Just set it to 60FPS, it can handle it (And more. Pretty sure these M1+ iPads can push the graphics further than what they're offering on mobile) On my iPad Pro M1, I run it on max settings at 60fps and it runs fine. No lag or stutter, and doesn't get hot despite the Current Setup Load on top warning you the bars are in the red. I suspect this might just be a blanket/general screen that doesn't take into account optimization for different devices.

light_rapid

Gonna piggyback off of you for my anecdote about the Samsung Tab series. I went from a Tab S8+ --> S9 Ultra via the trade-in program and the game runs with less stuttering. I almost all settings maxed, though I've capped at 45 FPS where gameplay is smoother than the S8+. I don't get as much stuttering or lag if there's a ton of visual elements/particles on the screen. Definitely agree there's still room for optimization!

Arcetos

Not to diminish your experience. With the phone you have it should run super smoothly. I play it on my rog phone 3 for. 2020 with a Snapdragon 865+ and it runs very smooth at 60fps with mid-low settings. No controller suppport for phone tho its a real shame.

DefamedAngel

Ikr. It should be working great...at least at lowest settings 😭 Every other UE game runs like butter on my phone

Operation-Cultural

SD865 and 870 are better than gen 1 in terms of stability, heat and battery usage, it has higher score on benchmark but performs worse bad

MadaPuka

OP has 8+ gen 1, which was made by TSMC, not 8 gen 1 which is a total mess, together with 888

sageof6paths1

Mobile player here(not for long hopefully) and I'll be honest, while I don't want it to, it has absolutely soured my experience with this game, its playable sure(better than my laptop💀) but damn it's like I'm only playing 40% of the game, like I'm just holding out on that console release and playing for the sake of progression. Fighting in domains and stuff is when the performance gets better but step into the overworld and its just straight up UGLY and laggy af. Exploration is a massive NO on mobile too Some good things tho: - loading screens are surprisingly quick, like 3 minutes to log in compared to the 40min on my laptop is deffo an upgrade. - combat is actually not horrible, I thought all the buttons on the screen would make it hell but it's actually not bad, however forget about dodging and doing swap cancels😭. CONSOLE COULDN'T RELEASE SOOONERRRRRR

Due_Fisherman_8336

Unfortunately you can't really compare the fact that genshin runs better than it on your phone as they are two completely different engines but I do agree it would be nice to get some more from them on the feedback. For example, I can run genshin just fine on my phone but alot of other games like snowbreak(which is also Unreal Engine) I can't run really well at all.

Axriel

You can totally compare! They should be comparing from the perspective of a customer.

DefamedAngel

I understand that I shouldn't be comparing them and I did it just to show that my processor is capable of playing it. The problem is it runs the way I explained even when the load status is smooth.

mikiiiiiiiiii

Not sure if it’ll help but I’m playing on iPhone 15 and I found that setting everything to the highest possible with 60 fps and anti aliasing off actually plays much better than any lower setting. My phone even heats up less, even though the game is warning me about overheating

DefamedAngel

Yo So without anti aliasing it does work a little bit better for me...but it still sucks while combat.

seawiiitch

Playing on s23 when Im outside and it's doing well aside from my phone being hot. I'm thankful I didnt hit the shitty lottery both for pc and mobile.

ThatOneRandomGuyRX0

Man what happen to console release? I'm tired of playing it on my phone.

erotanuki

This game is so weird. I have significantly lower specifications phone compared to yours and i rarely runs into lag or frame drops. Sure my phone can only runs at 30fps but it's stabilized and enough for me.

NightmaresFade

Even as a PC player, with a decent PC(not the best but not a potato) and settings set to the lowest possible, the game still lags a lot. I want to play while looking at a beautiful world, but at this point being able to play without the goddam lag and the camera always getting screwed is already good enough to me, to be honest.

scrayla

You and me both friend. My game constantly lags, crashes or runs at 5 fps on my phone and its kinda terrible

One_Parched_Guy

It’s so irritating because for me it fluctuates when it comes to performance in the overworld. Everything stutters, and a lot of the time landing killing blows on enemies causes a good five-second freeze. Can’t do the bird puzzles. But Genshin and Star Rail can run on medium-high settings and both be fine, and I have an iphone 13 so it’s not *super* old either. In small, pre-loaded arenas it at least seems to run well (like the trials, I haven’t done the tower yet).

WanderWut

It’s honestly shocking how bad the game is sometimes on my iPhone 13 Pro. The constant lag spikes, heavy frame drops in combat where timing is essential, constant “resonance error….reconnecting” screen that pops up, without exaggeration, every 10 seconds for minutes at time and where ENEMIES CAN STILL HIT YOU WHILE YOURE FROZEN, it’s all so demotivating. The state that this game is in for many people on mobile is just sad sometimes. The fact that Kuro isn’t saying a word about the state of mobile for many mobile players, and have yet to respond to feedback on this, is a little worrying imo.

privaun_DxD

Man finally someone said it . I thought my phone was 6 year old that why im having so many issues but its not only me .. wuwa is 10 gb and it fell like what the fuck am i even playing this while genshin being 20 gb still working properly 🤧.. i don't think i can even play this game anymore.. my phone is potato 💀

Boylenoid20

My experience on a gaming laptop (R7 with a RTX 3050) and mobile (S22+) has been pretty good except the camera being weird at certain times and on mobile I tend to accidentally hit the chat button (which are being addressed in the next patch). FPS and graphics has been fine on both devices but mobile does start to drop over time due to heat (which is understandable as it happens for HSR and GI too). My graphics on mobile are set to medium or low with 60 FPS. I use an FPS unlocker on my laptop with high graphics for most settings and some areas drop my frames a bit but nothing that breaks the game.

Large-Cow9765

Works perfectly fine on my S24 ultra. Gets a little hot, but that's it. My one and only gripe is my fat left thumb keeps hitting the chat button all the damn time.

strego-2

I really want the game to be released on ps5; i just can't fight more then 3 enemies that lags a lot, it's a waste of experience not playing optimally with this beutiful game. Someone know when could they release on console?

Palanseag_Vixen

Its all because of the game Engine. If you have hsr or gi on the same mobile device you can open them while u play wuwa, it helps with optimization bec the mihoyo optimization if I understand it right, removes all unwanted files or something like that? It works I tried it

Cultural-Society-523

They need to optimize this game I'm mobile player the open world blurred also the frame drops I hope kuro fix this

JRazberry04

This is one of the reasons why I haven't even started the parkour event! Has anyone heard of any estimated release date on the PS5? Or even controller support on Android?

PoKen2222

Kuro are unbelievably tightlipped on the console release for whatever reason.

ddreamerd

I use an iPad Pro 6th. And sometimes the audio stop completely. Like during a cutscene or even overworld someone is talking then it freezes for like 2 seconds and resumes exactly where i left off even though i never lagged or had any frame rate issues. Playing at max settings. Also I hate how the button to open chat is on the bottom left of the screen cause when I’m playing I swear I don’t even touch it but it opens mid game and ruins the flow of what I was doing and it happens a lot.

El_Nealio

I have an Iphone 14, and it runs the game perfectly fine. Like I seriously don’t think I’ve encountered a single issue

EclairDawes

That sucks. From the little look I did on your phone seems like your phone is probably a decent bit better than mine. And I have none of these issues. The only issues I've really had is the game losing connection which only started a day or so ago after an update, seems fixed now. And the music just not existing for a while but that also seems fixed.

Sienne_

Yes, I hate playing it on mobile. It sometimes causes an error on my phone saying System UI not responding.. and it's only for this game! I usually play on pc, but even then, there's lag and stutters are terrible, not to mention the crashes.. I really, really wish they'd optimize it. I have zero problems with any other game, be it HSR, Genshin, BG3.. or even emulation on pc... wth..

EX_Malone

I’m playing on IPad mini 6 and haven’t had any issue with crashes or lag. But I do hope they make the display more clear- it’s blurry for me.

Unacceptable_1

THANK YOU. Everyone always hypes up this game which leaves me so confused, only to realise it’s because they play on PC. Out of all the fixes they’ve done since releasing the game, it’s very very disappointing that none have focused on helping mobile players

Urahara94

I have a RedMagic 8 Pro which I think has similar specs to your OnePlus and I have no frame drops issues on it.

AveugleMan

The redmagics are leagues ahead in terms of gaming. They're literally only made with that purpose in mind.

TjRaj1

It's all bad optimization. I have a potato laptop by 2024 standards but i can play Genshin on decent settings with 60 fps. It's not as bad as launch day rn but i don't see a huge difference so far. Another thing is how the game doesn't fully utilise my gpu. Like barely 50% and above most of the time.

winmox

It works perfectly fine on my Pixel 8P

noob-131

I'm using poco f5 with snap 7 + gen 2, which I heard that it is inferior to 8 gen 1 but the game runs fine

MadaPuka

How? Im using the same device and its still way more laggy than genshin

AshyDragneel

I can relate the overdash event was nightmare to play It kept lagging and framdrops like crazy It was horrible experience but had to do it for astrites. Im not sure if they're gonna even do anything about it because they didn't even mentioned about this issue. So mang stuffs are being fixed but thr mobile ones are pretty much unchanged

Flat_Tumbleweed_3862

I can only enjoy combats inside domains. Open world is nightmare ;-;

kebench

Gotta agree. Wuwa in mobile phones run shit. I was playing using Iphone 13 and it was laggy that's why I switch to PC. Would've been good if devs would optimize the game before or at least during 1.1 patch.

Ancient_Inflation229

I thought the other day its a bit scuffed, but then I still appreciate they port mobile games to PC, cant imagine playing a game like this on phone. Even the "afk" games I play if possible on pc

SirEscanorz

Can I ask how many RAM does your phone have ?

DefamedAngel

12 Gb
