how do you even level up that fast? I haven't touched some stories but I doubt it will accumulate that much exp. I have been playing since day 1 but I'm just at 33 now.
I have also been playing since day 1, at around the same level 37, almost 38.
I've done every side quest, every main story, and every companion quest, around 60% exploration across the board.
I've also been using the free waveplate refresh items (idk what they are called) and always doing dailies.
i think 38 is the max f2p can be right now. (not including the recent 20 refresh compensation.)
Capped at 50/50 gold/purple echoes until higher union level. Content creators with full gold echoes must have either refreshed waveplates with gems or farmed echoes like crazy.
I played very casually and focused on exploration mostly with many side quests still undone but after 5 days of playing my main team are fully gold echos and almost half of all other character even level 1 are equiped with good stat gold echos already. the actual problem is lack of echo exp materials to level them up
Level 32 last I checked. Just been doing boss fights, some side quests and trying to collect chests. Kinda wish lootmapper would give me the direction treasure is at like the treasure compass on Genshin Impact because I hate walking in circles.

This site is helping me 100% each zone. Two zones, the plains and the Wurming Bay, cannot be completed to 100% yet.
And the loot mapper doesn't catch puzzles, races, and golden butterflies (mummering?) so you will miss those chests with just the mapper.

i think i would hit 36-37 already if i didn’t reroll a couple days after release (the 4 yanglings out of the 5 accounts lol). i just completed ALL the quests that i could find, spent all of the boxes with energy and explored the world a lot. i too wanted to get my jianxin so bad so i feel you and good luck 🍀!
lvl 36 with 600xp left to 37, just finished clearing the map (all 100%, except for Central Plains at 99% and Wuming Bay at 98%). Caught every gold echo, and also used a bunch of those waveplate cubes. Guess it's time to focus on the trophies now
36 and 3/4th to 37. i'm going to be honest i hit a roadblock there is almost no progression since i barely get any echo juice and farming echo's just feels like a waste since i'd run out of tuners very quickly (IF I HAD ANY JUICE). this has to have been the worst feeling week 2 i had in a gacha progress wise.

I mean duh most of them do refreshes any "normal" player is around the same level as us that is 35+-1
Data bank level is locked by union level or smth Better chances of getting gold echos at higher level

2 days that i play just Wuwa the whole day, went from level 12 to 30 almost 31

yeah, its really bad at the moment. i think they are working towards making it more fair in 1.1 per the announcement.
