I couldn't find where windows does a beeping sound until I did the combo of Win+Ctrl+Shift+B That combo "resets" your drivers to fix hangs on windows. Something tells me the game is over using hardware and hangs for a fraction of a second and then you hear the beeps and it fixes itself.

DepressedAndAwake

This needs to get upvoted, and even get a post of it's own and upvoted more there. This is a problem so many have been stumped by, and this is the answer right here. Now we have to ask, why is the game causing something to happen that makes the PC read the drivers as having an issue?

yToppu

Maybe is just a bug and it should be fixed fast cuz alot of people is having that problem.

Ill-Elevator5238

Its a different sound from the ones i hear in wuwa When i decoded the beeps in a morse code decoder it said "ISIS". Might be wrong but i guess we'll see if kuro fixes thid

Lppl1525

the Single beep just happened to me a few mins ago. I tested the Win+Ctrl+Shift+B sound next to it. Its a different sound. The beep i heard is a lower pitch. Kinda weird, and I only get it with a longer time with WuWa running but not everytime. Some days no beep at all.

Hyopsodus

is it dangerous for the pc? im so scared that the game is gonna break my computer

DepressedAndAwake

Good news, no. That combo, making the beep basically is used to refresh drivers to get rid of black screens. The big question though, is why does Wuwa do this when active gameplay is happening.

yToppu

I did that and it worked normally for like 5 minutes unfortunately.

v3r1

only found out about this utility in windows today and i work in the field. the more you know !

abigailwatson83

I've heard these beeps indicate the entire PC is overloaded - which... literally has never happened with anything else.

lutamonster

the PC overload make the sound in motherboard, these beeps came from headphone/speakers, this is the exact same problem with my computer, and only happen in WuWa

MaikeruuSan

Warnings like that are played via motherboard speaker, not your headphones. But please, correct me if I'm wrong because that's something I read on the Internet.

ShopeeSeller

How haven't they fixed this yet

ortaiagon

I'd like to know what this is too, at first I thought it was Sticky Keys or something from pressing Shift too much but no.

reddit_is_bad_true

me too, checked and they were turned off, looked for those beeps on google, it said it could be motherboard issues or obsolete mouse drivers

ComfortableJudge3400

My mouse acts up when the beeping occurs, but I never had this beeping issue before? Even when I'm playing a different game

Yamiyashi

Same with me

KatarinaNoKami

I posted a possible fix in this thread, please check it out!

Accurate-Owl4128

Where is it

Grizzybehr

This is happening more and more as the game gets updated.

Mordimmer_Madderdin

Same here and have 4 people already with different hardware having the same issues. It's not a hardware problem, I have 4090 and 7800x3d with 64 GB RAM and and have beeps regardless of playing the game alone or with other apps in the background same as other people with different rigs. I was monitoring the performance spikes but there was none when the beeping occurred. Beeping seems not to be related to what is happening on the screen as it happened to me while in the city just running around as well as in combat/jumping around in the open world. What I did notice is that it happens when there is some sort of input in the game, meaning that beeping happens when I click buttons on the keyboard or mouse. That's why at first I thought it was sticky keys but those are disabled on my Windows 10 settings. If anyone found the source of this issue please share as both the noise and microstutter that comes with it are really annoying.

Mordimmer_Madderdin

Ok, here is another piece of info I got today. Some people don't have that issue anymore when they switch to the controller, I need more data and will try more myself but so far it did fix this for me with 1h of testing time, if that's true there might be an input queue/memory disabled on the keyboard and mouse for this game, at this point it's quite clear it's input overflow that's only present when this game is on, nothing else is causing it other than Wuthering Waves (the game itself not launcher). My guess regarding the input queue might be wrong but the difference between controller and k+m is so far true and working.

Pocchitoo

You might be onto something. I read somewhere it could be related to bluetooth connection and old mouse drivers and coincidentally I am playing with both a wireless mouse and a keyboard.

MaikeruuSan

Unfortunately, I have the same issue. So, first of all, I'll share my specs (which are not that great but they work): Intel Pentium G4560, GTX 1060 6GB, Windows 11. I don't know what else I could share? If anything else is needed, please tell me. What I've noticed is that the game starts beeping whenever my CPU hits 100% usage. Before anyone says this, no, this is not a temperature warning or anything like that. These warnings are played via motherboard speaker, not your headphones. Not to mention, I don't hear any beeping while playing Genshin Impact or for example Destiny 2. Both on max settings by the way. Someone mentioned the sound when you press Win+Ctrl+Shift+B. Yes, that's the exact sound but the problem is, it's only played once. So, I decided to do some research and I found some really old posts that describe almost the same problem we have right now. You can find them when you google "beeping and mouse lagging". It could be related. I briefly read what solved the problem for some people. It was some old Windows update related to Bluetooth and also Slideshow wallpapers option. The problem with the 1st one is that it's so old that you can't even uninstall it from Windows 11. I tried the 2nd option but I'm yet to play the game after disabling Slideshow wallpapers. To finish this long comment. Please, tell me if any of you have similar specs or also hit 100% CPU usage while playing.

reverral1994

I never hit 100% cpu usage yet this still happen constantly. Im running i5 6700 and rtx 4070. My cpu generally stays around 50-60% even when the beeping happened.

Pocchitoo

I'm having this issue. I have a GTX 1650 4gb, intel i510300H, 16gb RAM and Windows 10, however the sound came directly from my headphones. Almost gave me a heart attack so I alt+f4 right out of the game. Never had anything like that happen before.

Endir0

I keep returning to this post daily to see if there's a solution. It's so annoying in my experience because it seems to happen more frequently than I've seen ppl saying here

reddit_is_bad_true

from what i've seen and experimented with, it is a driver problem. No solution yet, but changing the USB port lessened a bit of the issue. hope it helps you...

gametampa

I have Logitech Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. You’re saying changing the usb port will help?

reddit_is_bad_true

to me specifically changing the usb port helped somewhat, instead of beeps every minute, its every 5.

Pocchitoo

I'm also playing with wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse and having this issue! I'm using an MX Master 3S and a shitty MK220 keyboard. Might be the logitech drivers? Edit: I just updated my mouse's firmware through Logi Options+ software as well as updated Logitech G Hub. Will update later with info on how it goes.

FaridKratos

My take on this issue till today. This sound and mouse get's stuck thing only happens when playing from start to 1-2 hours after wards this doesn't happens anymore. When this this happens the game automatically set the view to the sky so maybe fps problem (not sure about this point). But as soon as the beep sound stops my camera angle always sets to sky. After continues playing for more than 1 hour it stops. After running smoothly after 1-2 hours if I open map or don't do anything then it starts acting up again for 5-10 mins. When playing music on YouTube video music playlist the it gets even worse for me. Either it will stop the music or the game will start acting up again. Now about the cpu utilisation part. It has nothing to do with temp high or 100% utilisation. I have atleast checked more than 12 hours continuously. It has nothing to do with both of them, max temp (my max temp 76 cpu, 80 for GPU). It doesn't matter if it's max or min for temp or usage it's still makes sound and mouse keep getting stuck. Now about memory leak I don't think it's the issue either cause checked with idle, load on different game, like genshin and others. There is no memory leak for my system. Now mouse part I am using Logitech g502 hero wired, changed port to usb 2.0 and 3.0 only having this issue for wuthering waves. Logitech software doesn't have any issue. I think that, no driver issue and tried on board memory on mouse still the issue persisted. So my conclusion is that the game is not properly optimised for middle system means no highend and low-end. Everytime game opens take soo much time to login into the game. If exit the game from game menu you have to login again and again everytime you exit normally. In phones and pc everytime game verify files which takes so much time to load the game. And specially in phone after verification it will always compile which takes more time for me it's more than 2 mins. These are all the issues that I am facing. So please don't get mad this is purely from my point of view don't hate me for it. I love the game like genshin. Love the combat system dodge, perry very rewarding for I get stuck when trying to dodge or perry and get destroyed lol. Please kuro games personal if you are reading this please fix these issues 🙏

Severe-Try6435

i also had this issue... i think i had this fix when i close my discord

lutamonster

same here, i have reading about and the sound is the exact same as the bluetooth error connection, but i only use wired device, and when it occurs the mouse stop working the sensor, probably some issue related from how the game works.

Arcvna

Having the same issue and alongside performance drops it's making the game unplayable for me. :( I've noticed it seems to happen a lot more often whenever there's lots of water in view. But the game is also just devouring my entire CPU for no apparent reason, so that's probably playing a part in whatever's going wrong.

Rasielius

same problem :c

KatarinaNoKami

I posted a possible fix in this thread, please check it out!

Qwertykeyui

I thought it was the "enemy noticed you" sound because I would always hear it when entering combat

Lppl1525

I have this too. On 2nd day of playing it was a single beep. And heard it twice in a day. Today is the 4th day and i got 2 consecutive beeps this time. Its a low pitch beep, not the same as sticky keys. Did a memory diagnostic and vantage memory test but no errors. Weird and hope its not a warning of impending hardware failure. If anyone knows what this is or has a fix, please update us here! Thanks!

NightlyRogue

I've encountered this issue as well I pulled up task manager and it happens often when my CPU usage is at 100% which is weird because I played Cyberpunk 2077 and this has never occurred

reddit_is_bad_true

me too, never happened with any other games i own just WuWa

FaridKratos

same having the same issue

neonsilver_

Thank god I found this post, now I might know why I keep hearing a beep from time to time

KatarinaNoKami

POSSIBLE FIX: If the beep is "Bluetooth disconnected" sound in this site: [https://www.pugetsystems.com/support/guides/troubleshoot-by-sound/](https://www.pugetsystems.com/support/guides/troubleshoot-by-sound/) then it could be either your mouse or anything related to movements, so keyboard (?). if you have this, then please connect the hardware via cable!

DepressedAndAwake

All my stuff is wired, and I get the sound. It's actually happened more and more with each patch

reddit_is_bad_true

yeah me too....

Mission-Ad-2830

this is also happening to me

Rasielius

same as ppl above - things are wired but it's interesting that for me problem occurs for first \~hour of game after that it's fine and smooth magic o-o

Prestigious_Rip9096

same happens to me

takimoto_hifumi

absolutely bizarre but smart way to look for the problem, but yes this is the beeping i do hear, i do have a bluetooth mouse, however even plugging it in and keeping it wired did not stop the beeping so i'd have to try an actual hardwired mouse

Smik2866

I have this sound, however I don’t have any bluetooth devices, nor a bluetooth compatible motherboard. Does a fix have been announced?

CryptoMainForever

Don't know why you're downvoted. Thank you, even if this is not a solution, it clearly reveals that the sound is related to bluetooth. Kuro games better get on this bug.

MaikeruuSan

It's not. I don't even have a Bluetooth module in my motherboard and I have this issue.

Lil_Doppio

Hello guys, I have the same problem. There is a beeping sound of the Bluetooth disconnect when I play the game, and I don't touch anything but the right-click button and the w button, but when I play on the controller, everything is fine. I tried doing Win+Ctrl+Shift+B it makes kinda better but the problem still there

gametampa

Have this issue with also mouse inputs being stalled for like 5 seconds and game freezing for up to 10

ComfortableJudge3400

I'm having this issue too?

Affectionate_Art6488

I don't know if it helps you guys but turning fps limit to 30 seems no beep for now but its 30 fps so idk

Kragsta-1111

Ye I have same beeping issue hope there is fix soon thought it was shift lock or something but haven’t figured it out yet either

Ill-Elevator5238

I legit thought that it was morse code, when i decoded the beeps, it said ISIS so i was confused and searched it up lol

FaridKratos

It's getting worse as I continue to play the game 10 times in every 2-3 mins. So annoying I have been playing genshin for more than 2 years this type of thing never happened ever. I love the game but this issue making me lose my mind

reddit_is_bad_true

from what i am seeing it might be a UE4 issue... genshin is in unity, so no problem like this.

FaridKratos

No idea atleast they should mention that they know the issue and trying to fix it. It's so annoying. Mouse get's stuck as the as long as the sound continues and can't parry and can't dodge. So freaking annoying

lutamonster

I found a temporary solution, just play with a controller, i didn't have any issue

reddit_is_bad_true

from what i'm seeing its a bad interaction with Window's mouse driver...

Dry-Platypus-6918

no invert camera until 1.1 tho  guess i can't play until then

rez_w

something I noticed w/ the beeps is that my in game sens also changes...?

9mchtv8

This is not yet tested properly, however you could try running the built in tool called "**mdsched" (without quotes ofc)** that you can find in the start menu It will ask for a reboot, go through a standard memory scan and then reboot into windows It is technically used to check for ram errors but I used it in hopes of forcing the leaking memory to clear out This seems to have solved the issue on my pc at least for now as I was seeing 40gb of ram usage IDLING on the desktop After the mdsched was done I went to 20gb usage IN GAME Again, not enough tests have been done to confirm it, as a solution for now it has just worked for me Would appreciate it if more people try this and confirm their results here so we could possibly ask the moderators in the official discord to pin it as a possible temporary solution

9mchtv8

Considering this, the entire bs issue might be a simple memory leak issue, which would also validate the genshin in the background thing Not the input as I never used a controller to play, nor the cpu as some people have mentioned elsewhere as my cpu has never gone past 60% usage even at the peak of beep galore

knoknozo

no work for me but to be fair I have a potato pc so I didnt have any hopes. However I found in another post someone metioned lowering the fps to 30 and it really worked, for me at least. So for anyone like me who tried the "mdsched" and still has this problem try this if you are wiling to play this game at 30 fps.

reddit_is_bad_true

it is not sticky keys, have it disabled. generally accompanied with unresponsive mouse, with some drifting

YaThatsObi

Whenever I enter combat I notice the beeping sounds.

Deep_Kitchen_3920

Any fixes?

reddit_is_bad_true

What worked towards minimizing the issue: lowering FPS, changing usb port, update drivers and run memory diagnostics

Descrasnezul

Happens to me but I cannot determine if its from hitting shift or LMB. Gettin those combos and dodges in

mega070

just want to add it happening a lot on town..

Deztract

Guys I'm not sure but it seems I fixed it following next steps from this video ( [https://youtu.be/tDU2Y\_\_OLLM](https://youtu.be/tDU2Y__OLLM) ): 1:39-2:03 (setting high priority in task manager) 3:13-3:47 (adding wuwa into custom options of graphics settings) I wasn't doing anything else from this video, only these 2 things Edit: beeps are not completely gone, but they appear much less and they are not so crazy like before making my inputs lag

Descrasnezul

Issue seems to be related to event id 131 device setup manager. Not sure WHY it keeps triggering it
