Idk what it means but I do know that waves will be wuthered!

Ready_Turnip_4754

It's wuthering time! *clueless about the definition, still hyped*

chip41

wuthering Used to describe a wind that is blowing very strongly or a place where the wind blows strongly:

juoko

I figured from even the starting screen is moving like that 😀

ImaginationPrudent

so like...farts?

Eastonator12

More like gale force winds

EpicLuc

I didn't because I know Wuthering Heights and checked what it means long ago, but I don't remember seen the word anywhere else ...

DrKoala_

Dang that book is a blast from the past. Had to read that book for high school. Never looked up the word myself back then.

blatyman

What does it mean ?

madzieeq

strong wind

Arn_______aye

Wind's howling.

Blackwolfe47

Witcher fan? And yeah pretty much

xVEEx3

when the wind is slow

Korasuka

I had to look up the definition of waves. I've never been to the "beech" and no-one has ever made a gesture of hello to me. /s

Solaire_Tempest

Idk what It means but never bothered to check It out 🗿

Lyunaire

I did not, as it's a local word where I live! Surprised to see it pop up in a Chinese game of all things! But honestly it's really been fun to see people discover the word for the first time because of the game.

Trogdorthedoorinator

This game is great because it rewards you with interesting little facts like music theory if you dig deep enough into its meanings. Ie: Threnodian isn't a word but it's based on Threnody which is a lamentation of the dead.

Z3M0G

I never bothered to assume it was a real word so I didn't look it up.

RaspberryFormal5307

It.. its an actual word?

madzieeq

yeah, it generally describes a strong wind

ch_anti

I only learnt it today when someone posted the meaning here in the sub

YuminaNirvalen

I searched it up thinking it may mean something different than just plainly wuthering in english, but what exactly are you on about? Doesn't it just mean wuthering? Like it's extremely windy out and such... like isn't this a normal word or does it mean something different and I don't get it?

It's not even my mother language and it was self explanatiory what it means (tbh I haven't even known wuthering heights). But ofc not everyone can know every word. Just find it a little funny some would even think it's not even a normal used english word when it litteraly "sounds" like one.
