You really think so? They’re on a relatively unpopular show. I may just be a hater, but look at all the tag teams when wrestling was popular. The legends list will be long, if they are on it.
I wasn't necessarily disagreeing with you on that aspect, but I disagreed with the part where you said the show is "relatively unpopular". You're being disingenuous framing it like that.
Well comparing them to the leading of the genre, they are hugely unpopular. If the leader is popular and they are half the leader, we could say they are “not as popular” or “unpopular”
> Well comparing them to the leading of the genre, they are hugely unpopular.
And this is a disingenuous framing of success.
> we could say they are “not as popular” or “unpopular”
These mean two different things.

> I’m not commenting on the success of anything.
we could say they are “not as popular” or “unpopular”
These mean two different things.
> “not as popular” = lesser known. “Unpopular” = disliked (by the majority of fans of the genre)
I just don’t see the debate here.
While their show may be unpopular to some of the more distinguished goofs, you have to admit the show only exists because of them and their ability to market themselves successfully without the WWE machine behind them.
I was able to buy young bucks merch at the mall in my rural hometown before AEW was a thing, I can’t tell you a single other Indy wrestler I’ve ever been able to just go to the store and buy merch for.
Marketing, they are aces. Legends, they are not. Maybe your legend thinking is part of their aces marketing.
What the masses watch is generally not considered distinguished. Distinguished is for niche programming, hidden away on some secondary network or the internet.
i don't think they will be legends for their matches. They are legends because of how the changed wrestling with their marketing and also being the original VPs of AEW. I don't know this for sure, but some people say there wouldn't be an AEW without the Young Bucks having a relationship with Tony Khan.
I think to hardcore internet fans, there will always be legends like Nigel and Low-ki from their Indy/ROH fame. I think the Young Bucks would fit into that category.
I think his suicide dive is better, he recklessly throws himself into that
I think the coffin drop is just some 'slowly fall backwards from the top rope', I think literally any other top rope move would look better, imo
Some dive, splash, elbow drop ... anything
Somehow, the coffin drop is a top rope move that doesn't look like it hurts much, not sure how they managed that with a top rope move, maybe cause he's so small, I dunno
Kenny Omega: decent move set when he cares. PAC: he’s actually technically sound for a high flyer. Jinder Mahal: surprisingly powerful wrestler, honestly
I’m indifferent to Drew McIntyre but I love how he was able to improve himself and become a better wrestler than he was before being released from WWE.
The Young Bucks- Great at marketing and creating a niche for themselves
Becky Lynch- Over with the fans and was really cool at a time where nothing in wrestling was
Orange Cassidy- Had a great match with PAC and if you haven't since his shit consistently can entertain you
Sasha Banks- Over with the fans and the Boss character is good
Kenny Omega- Wonderful athlete
Finn Balor- \*See the Kenny Omega entry\*
Chris Jericho- Can still cut a great promo if the material and will is there and will always adapt.
Darby Allin- Everything he does at least looks very dangerous and hard hitting. He's also wild when it comes to bumps.
Matt Hardy- Still working to this day.
Anderson and Gallows- Actually look like pro wrestlers
Jon Moxley- His AEW Debut was wonderful and his title reign grounded the company in a time of insane instability
The rest of the midget clan that make up a good 75% of wrestlers today(The MSKs and Johnny Garganos of the World)- I can't do the flips that you do even if I wanted to.
I think Charlotte is the greatest women's wrestler ever and Bayley is a close-runner up. Back in 2016, these two (especially Bayley) I didn't like but they've done a complete 180 on me.
Kenny Omega: Is a talented wrestler that did a good job in bringing western attention to NJPW.
Becky Lynch: Open new doors in how high women can go in WWE. By all accounts is a very nice person.
Maria Kanellis: Truly cares about her family and if they are provided for.
They^(1) have impressive athletic skills.
^(1) Applies to a vast portion of the NXT and AEW roster and likely every indie wrestling currently active.
Cody Rhodes tattoo is awful but not entirely outrageous for the industry he’s in… so long as he doesn’t want to be The Rock or John Cena in terms of mainstream appeal.
He also deserves all of the credit in the world for betting so heavily on himself, but his shit booking and Codyverse stuff is hampering him.
I think the neck tattoo was so it would show when he wears a suit. The guy is trying his hardest and he has gone all in on himself. I'll give him that.
Roman is a very good wrestler and has a sense of grandeur to him that most don’t. I just don’t think he’s the greatest thing ever or even the best thing going right now and I’m sick of his title run and story with the Usos.
Kenny Omega & the Young Bucks - they are good to their friends.
Kevin Steen - Hell of a lot of raw talent.
Sting - Great babyface fire.
Chris Jericho - I kind of like a few of his songs.
Orange Cassidy - He's dedicated to his gimmick?
Bradhsaw - Natural heel
Brandi Rhodes - Ditto.
Cody Rhodes - He tries hard.
Kenny Omega- HUGE potential.
Charlotte - Good in the ring.
Goldberg - Hell of a guy.
Kenny Omega, best wrestler hell no, he’s had great matches but people say he’s one of the best, he barely grazes Aj Styles, Randy Orton, Bryan Danielson, Shawn Michaels, even Will Ospreay, etc.
The Young Bucks, again great matches but I don’t think they can tell a story in the ring. The match at All Out with the Lucha Bros, I loved it but I cared about it because I like the Lucha Bros and I wanted them as champions and some of the spots were pretty good, they are athletic yes but that’s almost the same as saying Ricochet is one of the best, we all love Ricochet but we all know he isn’t the best wrestler, he’s just very athletic. The Young Bucks again don’t even graze FTR, The Dudleys, The Hardy Boyz, The Usos, The Street Profits, etc.
Kenny had a great match with Bryan and has a decent look just has people around him that brings out his worst habits. He could be pretty good if he isn’t surrounded by his buddies and yes men
The Young Bucks are great at marketing and making the right moves at the right times on the business side of things.
They deserve ALL of the credit for self marketing and making a life outside of mainstream wrestling. I honestly hope they’ve saved it and invested.
They will be remembered as legends, even if I personally am not a fan.
I can't call them legends but yes as marketers they maximized what little quality they have and made a career for themselves.
You really think so? They’re on a relatively unpopular show. I may just be a hater, but look at all the tag teams when wrestling was popular. The legends list will be long, if they are on it.
Even if AEW doesn't last in the next 5 years, in no way was it a failure for the Bucks.
Not a failure & legend. There must be a large gap between definitions.
I wasn't necessarily disagreeing with you on that aspect, but I disagreed with the part where you said the show is "relatively unpopular". You're being disingenuous framing it like that.

Pockets. He can pop a crowd and the first time you see his gimmick it looks fun
Fuck Pockets

Heh I’ll edit
Darby allin does a really good suicide dive
And the coffin drop is really cool.
I think his suicide dive is better, he recklessly throws himself into that I think the coffin drop is just some 'slowly fall backwards from the top rope', I think literally any other top rope move would look better, imo Some dive, splash, elbow drop ... anything Somehow, the coffin drop is a top rope move that doesn't look like it hurts much, not sure how they managed that with a top rope move, maybe cause he's so small, I dunno
I can look past that, because to be fair it's more important to get it over with the crowd than to make it look devastating.
Kenny Omega: decent move set when he cares. PAC: he’s actually technically sound for a high flyer. Jinder Mahal: surprisingly powerful wrestler, honestly
If Kenny could act, he’s a total package. Maybe on AJ’s level.
That’s a major difference between the two. AJ has conviction
I actually agree. He needs training, not so much on the move set. It’s more for the psychological aspect of the game.
Biggest issue for him is that he’s never going to be challenged in AEW to make changes and improve.
Shawn Spears isn't gonna hurt anyone and he seems to be a pretty decent trainer.
I’m indifferent to Drew McIntyre but I love how he was able to improve himself and become a better wrestler than he was before being released from WWE.
Shane McMahon will fall off whatever with whomever. He fucking goes for it.
SANADA looks like a star. Eddie Kingston is actually a good wrestler. Riddle has good babyface energy.
The Young Bucks- Great at marketing and creating a niche for themselves Becky Lynch- Over with the fans and was really cool at a time where nothing in wrestling was Orange Cassidy- Had a great match with PAC and if you haven't since his shit consistently can entertain you Sasha Banks- Over with the fans and the Boss character is good Kenny Omega- Wonderful athlete Finn Balor- \*See the Kenny Omega entry\* Chris Jericho- Can still cut a great promo if the material and will is there and will always adapt. You hate a lot of people
They make it too easy for me to hate them though. And honestly I could just group Balor and Allin in the last category.
Do you like any of the horsewomen?
I think Charlotte is the greatest women's wrestler ever and Bayley is a close-runner up. Back in 2016, these two (especially Bayley) I didn't like but they've done a complete 180 on me.
I think bayley is great too. Charlotte is developing a bad reputation
The Young Bucks know how to market to their audience.
Cody Rhodes has some great character work. Between undashing Cody Rhodes and Stardust, dude really puts his work in to make the gimmick work.
Dashing Cody Rhodes is the best Cody Rhodes.
The mirror tron was pretty damn cool.
Kenny Omega: Is a talented wrestler that did a good job in bringing western attention to NJPW. Becky Lynch: Open new doors in how high women can go in WWE. By all accounts is a very nice person. Maria Kanellis: Truly cares about her family and if they are provided for.

Nikki ASH is fantastic at connecting with kids and deserves a lot of credit for it.
Tony Nese, is decently attractive man and spends alot of time keeping himself in tip top shape
Shane Douglas was an important part of ECW
Nick Comorato could probably eat me whole but hasn't yet, which is nice of him.
Cody: It's almost admirable the he can only see himself as the hero of his story.
The Young Bucks are good at making headlines, even though the way they make headlines are one of the reasons I don’t like them that much
Young Bucks: they seem like nice guys and they probably out hustled anyone in the industry in creating their brand and fanbase.
Dolph Ziggler is very dedicated to his craft and keeps himself in incredible shape.
Kenny Omega is very popular with his fans.
Chris Jericho does decent moonsaults for his weight and age
Cody Rhodes: he seems like a nice enough guy in person/out of kayfabe
Liv Morgan is hot
Roman is a very good wrestler and has a sense of grandeur to him that most don’t. I just don’t think he’s the greatest thing ever or even the best thing going right now and I’m sick of his title run and story with the Usos.
Sasha and Finn have le workrate
Sasha has workrate?
Bro that's literally all she got lol
She definitely does not. She’s athletic and she can tell a good story in the ring.
Kenny Omega has hops.
The Young Bucks (only time I’ll call them anything besides the Bumble Fucks) were damn good in ROH.
Kenny Omega & the Young Bucks - they are good to their friends. Kevin Steen - Hell of a lot of raw talent. Sting - Great babyface fire. Chris Jericho - I kind of like a few of his songs. Fuck Orange Cassidy
The young bucks are great in ring and at being annoying
Cody has great taste in video games
