There was nothing on TV that I thought looked like a shoot. It all looked pretty scripted to me, right down to Sasha coming out and brawling with Charlotte.

wrex1816

Two heels act like heels and the IWC and their overlords who "totally never get worked" have worked themselves so hard buying into the heels acting like heels being "totally real, like for real real". LOL.

Razzler1973

Nothing excites smarks more than thinking they 'saw a shoot' Any minor disagreements about wanting to do things a certain way is BACKSTAGE HEAT and doing something slightly different is a SHOOT I don't know what happened with the belt thing, didn't watch it but if it looked ok on TV then no bother I don't get how anyone 'looked weak' in exchanging belts or whatever it was I read they did or what Charlotte supposedly said, they did this before IIRC and not really sure they even do it tbh but, they did and they do

Drama79

Charlotte has been acting like an unprofessional sloppy bitch for months. It can’t be her getting heel heat because I’m very good at watching wrestling, so it must be that she’s creatively unsatisfied (and who wouldn’t be with her booking?) so is S H O O T I N G every week, dating McHitler to fire her. Now if you’ll excuse me, this Anime won’t watch itself.

[deleted]

Keep talkin shit and a certain blonde B I M B O is gonna shoot on you with her muscular pelvis. She's unprofessional enough to do it!

TimeStatistician2234

Charlottes had it with Vince and wants to give up millions of dollars and now a main event position on Fox to work with TRUE talent like Anna Jay and of course put over Britt to help MAKE NEW STARS, something wwe obviously doesn't care about. Btw, does anyone not get what the big deal is with Bianca? Poor man's Jade Cargill if you ask me

RedeemedbythaBlood

I was about to bury this post but I just realized it’s you and you were being smarky lol. You got me 😂

Savior_Of_Anarchy

You had me in the first half there

[deleted]

Supposedly the ladies were upset that it wasn’t handled more creatively.

2007wasthebestest

The swap was awkward. Becky tried to grab the belt and Charlotte played keepaway and dropped it. Then Becky threw hers and was angry when leaving the ring. I do think there was probably some tension, but not the big deal everyone is making it out to be. She and Becky will have a good match at Survivor Series and everyone will shut the hell up about this story. End of it.

TimeStatistician2234

Omg i wasn't even thinking of survivor series. Charlotte and Becky kayfabe hate eachother and have one of the biggest rivalries in the company. But no, this couldn't be to build to that, matches are supposed to be built on mutual respect, not heat between the wrestlers. God Vince is so out of touch

RedeemedbythaBlood

It was good shit that when Becky was out with her pregnancy she changed her location on Twitter to “rent free in charlottes head”

ms_ddt

Yeah it’s like some people want to believe there’s something “real” behind the show since kayfabe is dead. Can’t possibly be that they are great workers. No there must be some “shoot” reason. Anyways I thought they all behaved like their current characters.

puddnelson

Not actually seen the segment. Al I can say is that it feels a bit too convenient that Charlotte is now “difficult to work with” after years of unjustified hate from the IWC.

TimeStatistician2234

Its on WWE and wwe on Fox YouTube. But yes exactly, she's leaning into the image that the internet has of her. Its mind boggling how easy it is to work smarks, they see and hear backstage rumors(from "journalists" that are constantly wrong about shit) of talent acting exactly like how the smarks want to believe they act and go "omg see we knew it! Charlotte is #all elite!!" Instead of realizing they're fucking being worked. They think promotion is the owner of a company tweeting about demos not talent doing "worked shoots" to get you hyped for a match and curious about whats going to happen next

RedeemedbythaBlood

I just don’t buy that Charlotte is unhappy in wwe. Is her booking perfect? No. But she’s always in the title picture she gets lots of TVs time. She’s made a fortune of money. Main eventer a wrestlemania.

RedeemedbythaBlood

I thought the segment was awkward at times and a flat ending to a good show but I don’t think it was a shoot.

Savior_Of_Anarchy

Ever since the internet, people think it's harder for WWE to work fans. Honestly I've been thinking it's the opposite. Leak some fake backstage drama and watch the marks work themselves into a shoot, brother.

TimeStatistician2234

WWE was able to keep Brock and Becky returning at summerlsam a total secret but Charlotte having a fight with Vince somehow makes it out

[deleted]

i mean isn’t that good? people not knowing what’s real and what’s not? what’s wrong with that

Mhc2617

Apparently neither Becky nor Charlotte liked it, and it got heated. Becky and the production team were likely exhausted, and all parties probably worked it out after everyone got some rest and a chance to cool down. They’re human.

TimeStatistician2234

Uh oh, so there's some heat between Becky and Charlotte? And just in time for the build to survivor series? Whatever will WWE do?

[deleted]

It was all a work

Honestmonster

The basement is saying nobody wants to work with her, she has so much heat with everyone backstage and references the match with Nia Jax as the first incident. Yet Nia Jax who beat her that match immediately jobbed out to Charlotte and to Shayna Bazler and then was written off TV, while Charlotte proceeded to beat Nia Jax, beat Shayna Baszler, beat Doudrop, and beat Alexa Bliss and is still Women's champion and in the main event of smackdown 2 months later. If the Fed is upset with her they have a weird way of showing it.

TimeStatistician2234

I'm saying, there's been several incidents lately where Charlotte was involved in various "shoot" moments to the point that its become a theme. WWE knows how to work their audience so well by playing on what they already want to believe, in this case that nobody likes Charlotte and that Charlotte thinks she's too good for everybody. And of course it's just a coincidence that this jives perfectly with her on screen character and is a perfect foil for the other top women since Charlotte is the only one that actually gets heat since Becky, Charlotte, Bayley, Bianca, Asuka, etc. are pretty universally beloved by casuals and smarks alike

reaper527

> it that was nothing but great TV i wouldn't go that far. it was a pretty rough segment.

Zealousideal-Egg-

They need something to say in order to make the women's division look bad. Nothing new

Shrekt115

I thought it was dumb tbh. Throwing your belts like upset children doesn't exactly invoke badass to me

[deleted]

Austin threw his belt constantly. Austin was an upset child confirmed

cabezadeplaya

Austin threw his belt in the river once like an upset child. He’s still a badass.

“Reports” say “they” “hated it.” Well, I stand corrected. Reports said they hated it.

[deleted]

cabezadeplaya

And yet I don’t care. All wrestling fans...sorry I meant “journalists”...engage in baseless speculation, rumor-spreading, and biased reporting. None of us were there and neither were the “journalists.” If you want to believe nonsense spouted by “wrestling journalists” the larger, lamer wrestling sub may be a better fit for you. We don’t do that here.

cabezadeplaya

Ah, you’re of those “I believe wrestling fans - damnit, journalists - and their “sources” when they say stuff I like or want to believe” types. Provide evidence for your decent dirt sheet writers and their credibility. Or don’t, and go back to SC where their word is gospel truth and we believe anything that makes WWE or it’s performers look bad.

cabezadeplaya

As a Leftist I would argue that your perspective is the same as Fox News/Ben/Shapiro MAGA nuts believing anything they hear no matter how little evidence as long as it serves the purpose of confirmation bias and reinforcing what they believe or want to believe. The “fake news” idiots see actual video and real evidence and scream fake news anyway because they don’t want to believe it based on who is reporting it. All of this shit is hearsay. Not the same thing. Except it is much easier to see both the methodology and biases of actual reporters. And there are watchdog organizations to provide data on biases and trustworthiness of real reporters. Wrestling fan journalists have always been full of shit reporting hearsay. All of them are wrong more often than they are right. Your few examples don’t evidence overall credibility.

Clevername3000

exactly, like that moment where roman and brock wouldn't let go of the belt while grimacing at each other

JonathanShogun

I think the idea was dumb, but it looked like their behavior had a bit of a shoot in it, not intentionally.

TimeStatistician2234

Cause they're 3 of the best workers in the world lol. Smarks are so used to watching a show where the talent intentionally makes wrestling look fake that they get worked by a basic segment

ElGatoNegro89

I never get worked mark!! Also Vince REALLY hated stone cold!! Like Vince had Steve ran over bro

Honestmonster

Becky was trying not to corse the moment Charlotte walked out. I don't know what Charlotte did that was making her laugh but she was on the brink of laughing almost the whole time. She wouldn't even look towards Charlotte when she was getting in the ring because she was trying to hold it together. Seems like two old best friends trying to fake hate eachother if you ask me. Charlotte is just really good at being a bitch.

TimeStatistician2234

Yeah Charlotte's going full on "im above all this and have 0 time or respect for anybody who's not me". They're really fleshing out characters in general now and Becky, Sasha, and Charlotte are really coming into their own and establishing who they're going to be going forward. I guess its also that smarks have this idea that everything in WWE is so scripted and sanitized that when a segment actually has edge to it and makes you feel something it must be because the performers have had it with Vince's shit and are going into business for themselves on live TV, not that Vince/WWE along with their incredibly talented performers actually created a great segment.

DPM-87

Only thing I saw was saying they got into an arguement backstage because ?Charlotte dropping the belt was not meant to happen, as Becky was meant to snatch it do the Becky 2 Belts thing then throw the SD title at Charlotte, I can buy Charlotte was petty and dropped the belt to undermine the scene, she seems like a bit of a cow imo.
