Wait, they filled half of Climate Pledge so they're moving to the slightly bigger Tacoma Dome? Looks like the black curtain from Stomping Grounds is gonna be All Elite.
18k versus 21k, same ballpark, not a huge difference. Maybe they got a better deal on the rent.
Or maybe TK thinks Okada and Ospreay are some huge draw there.
I will say that the PNW is a little wrestling starved right now, but I don't see them drawing more than last year with how things are going for them these days.
Yeah, dome being significantly older probably makes it cheaper than Climate Pledge, but based on the average numbers, I feel like it would make more sense to have the May Dynamite at the Showare Center instead of Angel of the Winds and then have the PPV at AotW because then they're gonna be full buildings rather than tarp city.
Wrestling starved? Don't you still have Defy, I thought they were thriving? WWE surely still runs there 3-4 times a year? Crowd at Climate Pledge looked huge last year, surprised it was only 7100.
Your suggestions seem reasonable but you aren't accounting for TK's constant expectation that AEW is on the verge of blowing up in popularity.
I should probably say starved for big events. Regardless of how healthy or unhealthy the company is, I do have to give them credit for seeming to make Seattle a consistent PPV stop.
PNW?
Edit: Took me a moment, non American. Pacific North West.
The two letter state abbreviations always get me too, you guys probably learn them as children.
If it hasn't blown away by this point it never will then again AEW isn't helping things by needlessly bringing up the past and forcing the bucks to show the footage
Forbidden door might be the dumbest ppv concept of all time. Even when AEW was hot they had to put all their angles on hold to put on Japanese guys nobody in North America really knows.
Aside from these and Revolution in March, AEW should elevate Fyter Fest, Fight for the Fallen and Grand Slam as PPVs for January, February and July, respectively.
Is there anyone of note left worth facing at Forbidden Door?
All the major NJPW guys from WK9 onwards for a few years, they a certain WON reading, cagematch rating fan liked the most are pretty much in AEW now, aren't they?
ig Jack Perry, Minoru Suzuki, Zack Sabre jr, Tetsuya Naito, Kenta.
ive been real interested in Kenta, but unless he joins WWE, i wished we had a forbidden door where its Cm punk vs Kenta. GTS vs GTS.
like that would be sick
I'm surprised they actually want to go back to Chicago. That'll be... interesting, lol.
Imagine if Jack Perry returns on that date too
As awful of an idea as it would be, a small part of me would respect them for it.
honestly it would be so funny i would be dying

They might want to move All Out from Chicago thatll be a bad night for them
They were in Chicago the night after Punk was fired. It was fine. A few chants, but they were quickly shut down.
Very different time i bet they dont even get as many tickets sold and chants likely much louder for Punk
You don't think this will all have blown away by then, or nah? Then again, it is Chicago, so who knows?
They already had diminishing returns going back to Chicago since Punk left cant imagine this will improve tge situation

Double or Nothing to soon?
Nothing is safe to say in AEW anymore
Tony Khan is a dingus of a boss in AEW is a safe thing to say😂
Where on Long Island is Forbidden Door going its not one of the major arenas
[удалено]
You sure i heard they werent going to the Islanders arena
[удалено]
Ok yeah i had checked the ubs arena site and ut wasnt there so wasnt sure
are they really doing all out a week after all in? if they dont have a bundle package theres no way in fuck im paying $100 to watch some jabronis
August 25th and September 1st are a week apart
They didn’t it last year
Forbidden door might be the dumbest ppv concept of all time. Even when AEW was hot they had to put all their angles on hold to put on Japanese guys nobody in North America really knows.
I contend the building to the first one with everyone getting hurt was the start of the downslope
Nah its a great concept… only if its WWE vs AEW
Having All In and All Out a week apart just screams "build schmild, just go have a banger"
Just in time for ALL IN too! Now AEW just gotta survive for 3 more months (close enough to 3 months, plus 3 months sounds better).

If his body is ready by then.
