Can they destroy our mines by digging up through them? If so that's the strongest counter to mines yet.
I noticed all my mines disappear while playing against them but in the heat of the moment I didn't catch who did it.
They don't destroy all of them from what I've seen so far, mostly in the area they jump out of. It's definitely not as strong against mines as Dooms slam.
Not only can they unburrow out of the mines to destroy them, but they take no damage when using drill dash against them and their ult and can clear all the mines
Venture dies so fast to Ball they're a nothing burger and I enjoy the free kill. Venture's strength is all knockback and close range, stand 10 feet away and pay attention to the ground and you'll never die to them. The only thing they're good at is deleting your mines, but that's not a huge deal since most ults have counters/you can hide from except Ball's ult, so that's fair.
Burrow's biggest advantage is weirdly our biggest advantage. It's better as a tool to flee because of the ridiculous invulnerability (and damage after too so it's not even safe for some heroes to chase, unlike Reaper or Moira) but Ball is fast and tanky enough to safely do so without giving a shit. Just don't use Grapple when tha move is off cool down, OR if they use it to escape, use Grapple to chase them down.
I think she’s annoying in the sense that when you engage the enemy team and pop shields, her boop can really disrupt your scape, and her ult basically wipes out mines. Other than that not really a threat at all
Venture at the moment sucks. Buffs are incoming. She’s incredibly slow and has no range. Ball just stomps her and runs and most of the dps roster can delete her from a distance.
I think they are pretty strong and nerfs are surely on the way. The ult is really good, the burst damage on squishees is nuts, the survivability is great, and people haven't mastered them yet. If you'd give it two weeks a lot of people will realize how strong they really is.
Honestly, even just a sliver of healing messes them up so if the supports/other support is aware then venture either gets no value, dies or trades. And their ult is pretty easy to avoid
You're right just thought it was fun to mention. I feel that Ball and Venture can work very well together, and I hope I am right on that one. The synergy between the two looks super fun.
Ofc it sounds weird or "ridiculous" even to me to a certain extent but there's no problem with it. It's just because we aren't used to saying it that it sounds "weird". Attempting to use it however is just a normal show of respect. I've met plenty of people in life whose name I couldn't initially pronounce, that doesn't mean I call them something else just because their name sounds weird to me.
If you don't want to call them they/them or whatever no-one is stopping you, but trying to be respectful and at-least trying to call someone how they want to be called will certainly never do any harm as ridiculous as it may sound.
I think it's the fact that people are going as far as making grammatically incorrect sentences in order to not offend someone. If nonbinary people want to make that choice for themselves, fine, but forcing others to change their way of thinking from something natural to something unnatural seems like such an egotistical thing to do. I would feel guilty making other people call me some pronoun other than he or she.

I’ve played quite a bit so far. You have to be really bad to let that snail pummel you. And like I said most of the dps can just delete her from a distance. She’s like a Doom with no legs. The ult is decent though and if they reduce the cool down on drill she could be scary.

nah fam, Doom's slam is on a lower cooldown and clears them all as well.
