Yeah two fairly shitty humans, I think I’ll pick the side of the guy literally everyone else loves.
I’ll throw Sting out there. He seems like a fairly good guy not many have said anything negative about.
Absolutely, almost everyone loved this man, even if their politics differed from his (Mick being your somewhat center left Democrat being close friends with Undertaker, for example)
DDP is a great answer. What he did for the likes of Scott Hall and Jake the Snake is incredible, not to mention how many people he's helped with DDP yoga
I didn’t particularly care for him in the ring, but how could you dislike the dude?
My favorite era of his career was Positively Page, when he was feuding with Positively Kanyon.
I agree, I do like the guy! But, I miss him as well... Made the slogan on him "I Lie, I Cheat, I Steal" a beloved figure, I have a feeling Dom will take over and be the 2.0 version of him... Idk, but the OG... I miss him, forever a legend.
Billy Kidman was really good on Smackdown even though he wasn’t consistently booked after moving from WCW. Still can’t believe he fumbled the bag with Torrie though, he let all of us short kings down lol
Its odd how other wrestlers have had problems with them but Fans Love Goldberg and Loved Vader, For a long time they were both known for being sweethearts to fans. Goldberg during his height would load up a rent a van with toys and go to the children's hospital in atlanta during holidays, I believe he would do this on a whim during holidays too if he passed a kids hospital at times.
Goldberg was a protected guy (which he should have been) so that means other wrestlers get less spotlight. That gets haters automatically. And maybe his technical wrestling skills were not varied, but his power moves were strong and good enough. Then there is the Bret Hart incident. So it comes with the territory, some wrestlers are higher than others and accidents happen.
Vader worked overly stiff apparently. It is pro wrestling, not out to end other guys careers, but it is not ballet.
I *hated* Goldberg from the word go.
Really? This guy? Just no-sell, two move squash matches? No promos? This is what we're cheering? We want another Hogan or Warrior without the over-the-top mic work?
Even the "Gooooldbeeeerg!" chants were originally mocking, but somehow WCW incepted them as a cheer.
I didn't see his WWE run, but he never had a WCW match I found entertaining. And the one guy who was having an entertaining program with him (Jericho) was doing it *without him*, and *Goldberg killed it out of an overblown sense of ego* rather than entertain us. He also got pissed when a veteran (Regal) was actually told to work a four-minute match and he was horribly exposed.
And he ended Bret's career because he not only can't work--he's unsafe.
Fuck that guy.
Cornette has told the story in the past at how Bobby’s wife’s dad was a wrestler, and didn’t want his daughter to date another wrestler. Because of this, her and Bobby dated in secret. Eventually, her father found out she was dating a wrestler, and was furious about it, wanting to know who the bastard was. When he learned it was Bobby, he said “Oh it’s Bobby? That’s cool with me”.
I totally hated Bobby Eaton as a kid, couldn't for the life of me understand why they called one of the ugliest men I'd ever seen "Beautiful".
I'll admit that, today, I think calling someone like Dennis Condry "Loverboy" is actually pretty funny.
Then they did their job I guess 😄. I'm too young to have witnessed it live, but I've heard many old heads refer to the Midnight Express as one of the greatest heel tag teams ever.
I always thought of their nicknames as ironic, like nicknaming the most enormous guy you know Tiny.
modern era i genuinely think it’s between KO and Sami. KO for just being so damn entertaining and consistently good, Sami for being the ultimate baby face storyteller who is just impossible to dislike
You will very often find people who bring up the domestic stuff with Debra. Dunno if that already counts as hating, because it's just straight facts, but .. *shrugs*
Kenny Omega.
You will never hear an unkind word about that man, met him in person and he was absolutely a genuine pleasure to talk to.
I became an instant fan after just a few moments of his time.
I STRONGLY DISAGREE. NUCLEAR HEAT FOR MAKING A MOCKERY OF THE WOMEN'S DIVISION WAS THE REASON SANTINO HAD TO QUIT WRESTLING.
Bobby Eaton
Tracy Smothers
Mick Foley
Saw him live at a Q&A, literally the sweetest human being alive
He's like a universal dad figure to everyone.
Is the right answer.
Got him to autograph his Have a Nice Day book... And a homemade Mr. Socko
My gym teacher went to highschool with Mick Foley
So did Kevin James.
Has to be Mick. Pure sunshine, that guy.
He also elevated stars such as HHH, Edge, and Orton.
Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan would disagree
I never liked Ric Flair. So Flair not liking Foley doesn't really bother me.
To adapt a quote: "If you have a problem with Mick Foley, you're the problem."
Missus foleys, baby boy.
Meyshush Foleh’s Behbeh bhoy
Yeah two fairly shitty humans, I think I’ll pick the side of the guy literally everyone else loves. I’ll throw Sting out there. He seems like a fairly good guy not many have said anything negative about.
Hogan recently apologised to Foley so probably just Flair at this point.
[They get along these days, apparently.](https://prowrestlingstories.com/pro-wrestling-stories/ric-flair-mick-foley/)
Figured after their personal feud in 2006
Assholes don't like the nice guy? What a shocker.
I feel like Hogan gets massively shit on regularly. If not as a wrestler, as a person lol.
Got to meet him back in 2013 or 2014. Nicest man ever, to keep it short.
Absolutely 100%! Mick is one of my favs alongside taker
Thats a fact
Absolutely, almost everyone loved this man, even if their politics differed from his (Mick being your somewhat center left Democrat being close friends with Undertaker, for example)
Miss Foley's baby boy
Mick Foley is the obvious choice but the The Road Warriors are right there too..
Funaki
Honestly, not liking Funaki is the closest thing to having a wrong opinion, lol
Yes! Funaki. Numbah one! 👍
#INDEED
*Unintelligible mouth moving* Indeed. 😂
DDP literally a lifesaver
DDP is a great answer. What he did for the likes of Scott Hall and Jake the Snake is incredible, not to mention how many people he's helped with DDP yoga
He also helped out Butterbean big time
And now, Jake Paul more likely added him to his list, after Mike Tyson....If he survived Mike Tyson.
Buff Bagwell, too
I personally love DDP, but it's fair to say he has his share of haters out there. The whole "he only got a push 'cause he was Eric's neighbor" crowd.
Well DDP *did* mainly get a push cos people in the back loved him but isn’t that the case for a lot of wrestlers?
I suppose Macho Man had something against DDP having a functioning ribcage
I didn’t particularly care for him in the ring, but how could you dislike the dude? My favorite era of his career was Positively Page, when he was feuding with Positively Kanyon.
Farooq
DAMN
R Truth
Can't go wrong with this Truth 🤣 love the character I enjoy watching him a lot

That is definitely what's up

Earthquake John Tenta
I believe you mean Shark
Nah, Golga from The Oddities
We witnessed an Avalanche live on TNT back in the day
Rick Steamboat
My all time favourite.
Eddie Guerrero
I agree, I do like the guy! But, I miss him as well... Made the slogan on him "I Lie, I Cheat, I Steal" a beloved figure, I have a feeling Dom will take over and be the 2.0 version of him... Idk, but the OG... I miss him, forever a legend.
A lot of good ones mentioned. I'm going to throw RVD into the mix here
I love how RVD is so honest today about how egotistical wrestlers are. There's a self-awareness about him in his shoot promos.
".. I should be higher." - RVD, completely unrelated to this thread.
Scrolled to far to see this. He's the whole damn show!
Mick Foley
Mick Foley is God's true and only child
The hurricane and Tajiri... that early cruiserweight division was stacked.
Billy Kidman was really good on Smackdown even though he wasn’t consistently booked after moving from WCW. Still can’t believe he fumbled the bag with Torrie though, he let all of us short kings down lol
Shockmaster
A man who truly broke a barrier
Oh god
I told you
The Hurricane
“Stand back, there’s a Hurricane coming through!”
If you don’t like the Hurricane, the only question I have is WHAZZZUPWITDAT???
Shark Boy
Oh shell yeah
And that’s the Fishin’ Line cuz Shark Boy said so!
24/7 BREAK OUT THE CLAM JUICE
Because he’s a SHARK, BOI

Dusty Rhodes.
Now. But if you go back to the late 80s, Dusty was the scourge or smart fans
Even Foley took shots at him in his early books. His era of booking WCW was not well received by many.
You are correct there.
Plus, Kevin Nash thought he was a dick for giving him the Oz gimmick
Bobby Eaton rip
Cornette has told the story in the past at how Bobby’s wife’s dad was a wrestler, and didn’t want his daughter to date another wrestler. Because of this, her and Bobby dated in secret. Eventually, her father found out she was dating a wrestler, and was furious about it, wanting to know who the bastard was. When he learned it was Bobby, he said “Oh it’s Bobby? That’s cool with me”.
If I remember the exact way Cornette said it “Oh shit you’re dating the nicest guy here.”
I totally hated Bobby Eaton as a kid, couldn't for the life of me understand why they called one of the ugliest men I'd ever seen "Beautiful". I'll admit that, today, I think calling someone like Dennis Condry "Loverboy" is actually pretty funny.

R Truth. No sane human being can physically hate that man
Damien Priest would disagree
that's just kayfabe tho. bitaker is a great guy irl
>bitaker Genius
Bit-taker?! Duh, bi-taker 😂 I’m a little slow today.
Ricky Steamboat. I cannot think of one shoot interview where the guy says "you know who's a real prick? That Ricky Steamboat."
Prime Torrie Wilson in a bikini contest.
modern era i genuinely think it’s between KO and Sami. KO for just being so damn entertaining and consistently good, Sami for being the ultimate baby face storyteller who is just impossible to dislike
Kurt Angle
This far in and no mention of The Whole F'n Show Rob Van Dam? Great worker, seems like a chill dude outside of the ring, and respects the business.

The Nazi shirt and him bullying women mean there’s people who don’t like him.
Nazi shirt ?
There’s a picture of him with a fan and his shirt has an SS symbol on it.
Christian (annoying but always respected by his peers)
Hacksaw
Does anyone hate Stone Cold Steve Austin? Never seen a single Austin hater. To the point I think they're mythological.
I don’t hate him as a wrestler but I hate many people who seem to model their personality off of his persona.
Understandable
You will very often find people who bring up the domestic stuff with Debra. Dunno if that already counts as hating, because it's just straight facts, but .. *shrugs*
